Changelog:
27-March-20: Fixed issue with apns
25-March-20: Decreased notification light led brightness
Increased speaker volume
Disabled notification led while charging
23-March-20: First Build

Love the disabled battery charging light. It annoys me too. Shines in my eyeballand blinds me in a dark room. :cyclops: HUGE thanks for bringing PE to Ocean!! Awesome job on this!!! :good:
One thing I did notice is I had no data upon booting up. Installation was smooth and booted fine and from what I can tell everything is working great!
My carrier is Metro by TMobile and when I looked I didn't seem to have any apns in my directory anywhere. Remembered on Havoc 10 the apn.conf.xml are in product/etc and also system/product/etc so I threw the apn I saved from Havoc 10 in the system/product/etc , set permissions to 0644 and reset apn to default and data is on and working perfectly. Attaching my apn.conf.xml from Havoc if anyone else wants to use it..
Apn.conf.xml: https://mega.nz/#!TIQSFKIL!KILyjTMHqLfCRJTYnoIVMLvnsgBdsLHDbSVMDM2tCHE
All credit to Spaceminer for this apn.conf.xml swap fix because that's who I learned it from over on another device forum a while back.

edit..got it.

which version of twrp and magisk are you using? i tried booting twrp and it just freezes up?

I use orange fox recovery, Elections build over on our roms section, and I never install it. Just boot it when needed. That way I don't have to deal with the freezes.. And I use latest Canary Magisk.
If you keep manually booting to bootloader and back to recovery eventually your touch screen will work.. If you have recovery installed then hold power button + volume down when it freezes then once you get back to bootloader then go back to recovery and just keep going back and forth till it stops freezing up. It will eventually..
(Edit)

Thanks for the info. So we don't need twrp installed to run a custom rom? I just reverted back to stock cause I couldn't get into the phone to add your apn file you uploaded .so from stock I just run the fox recovery then flash the canary then rom? There's so many threads saying how to root.im getting confused and end up starting over many times in the last few days. Appreciate the help.

Installed this last night. Working great and loving the Pixel Experience on my Moto Power G 7.

No you never have to install a custom recovery. You can boot recovery when you need to use it if you choose to using: fastboot boot foxrec.img Then you won't get any freezes with your screen not being responsive like we all do if you have recovery installed. Sounds like your treading dangerous ground. Be careful or you can brick your device. What's your model # Ex: Mine is a 1955-5 metro by tmo. Thinking yours is same seeing how you went after the apn I posted.. If you have a 1955-5 Qualcomm Ocean metro by TMobile variant see the guide section, the thread titled: How to root for noobs. Can't miss it. That's the thread to follow if you have a Metro by TMobile variant G7 power. Lots of info there. I always just read the entire thread start to finish. Never just start flashing things when you're not ? sure what you're doing. You don't want to end up with a broken phone ..
This rom has been excellent!!

So far i have tried this https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/how-to/rooted-moto-g5-run-morning-post-image-t3776012 seems like you can boot having cloned the main memory of another moto device into a SD card, but the disk image in that forum is from a G5 not a Moto G7 Power device, so it didn't work
The failure is pretty weird, I leave it all night long plugged in to charge (just in case it might be discharged), and tried to turn it on, but it doesn't do anything, won't turn on, the screen doesn't light up, it won't vibrate, won't boot into bootloader, it's just weird

love the rom but is there anyway to increase the in call volume is kinda low for me.

See below

Google Play system update doesn't install. Shows update available, downloads, press restart to install.
Reboots, shows installing update, then reboots again, starts up and in security setting it shows the same update is still available.

Fish around in the Motorola threads about booting from a sdcard. There is a 1955-5 somewhere in there. I believe sd_shadow uploaded his. I can't recall which thread but I'll look again and try and locate it and if so I'll shoot you link via pm so we don't kill the thread talking about it.. I'll go hunt for the post now. May take me 15-20 mins but if you are looking for 1955-5 I know it's there somewhere here in one of those threads buried. I'll find it. Check your PM's in about 30 minutes. Anyone who needs the 1955-5 mmcblkxx to try and boot from sdcard send me a pm and once I locate the post with it I'll forward it to you.
Edit added:
On second thought it may be for the 1955-4 dual sim I'm not ? but all that info is there in that thread as well.. I hope that helps someone. https://forum.xda-developers.com/g7-power/help/help-blank-flash-moto-g7-power-t3930168/page4 on page #4 sd shadows post. He uploaded his to mega. Within those few pages 2-6 or so it has lots of helpful info on how to make a bootable sdcard ...

Thanks for the help, unfortunately I've already tried that with no results, probably the issue is that I need that sd image but from a xt1955-7 with February's last security update for my device to boot up, I'll wait till somebody publish it with a matching image

You can view a full comparison between the two phones here:
LG Optimus L5 II vs. LG Optimus L5
I'm making this thread because it seems that some things that work for the model E610 don't work for this one (Actually I have only tried with some CWMs and mods) so I will be updating it with special stuff only for the E450 models.
At the moment it is possible to root and unlock the device, you can follow alley23 guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343579
How to root the phone:
1. Download this chinese root software called VROOT (I use this method because is the only one that worked for me but it must be other ways too...)
http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
2. Enable "USB debugging mode" on your phone (Settings > Developer Options > Android Debugging)
3. Connect phone to computer and install phone drivers, download them from LG site if necessary
4. Run VROOT and you will see that the program detects your phone model, click on the green square button that says ROOT, if everything goes ok your phone will restart and now you will see a "root" app on your app drawer, that means your phone now is rooted.
5. If you want to change the root app (because is in chinese) you will need SDK Tools (http://dl.google.com/android/installer_r22.2.1-windows.exe) and Java JDK (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html)
Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu or any other root manager and open it up, go to setting and select "Install SuperSU into /system" (this will override the chinese root app).
6. Open an ADB terminal and type the following (with the quotation marks):
Windows:
adb.exe shell "su -c 'mount -o remount,rw /system'"
adb.exe shell "su -c 'rm /system/bin/su'"
adb.exe shell "su -c 'rm /system/xbin/su'"
7. Restart phone, open SuperSU and update binary sources, and ta-da! done.
If you have any question or you don't a step PM me and I will help you.

I have tried to install a custom recovery, Clockwork Mod, with the custom recovery for L5 E610 but I can't make it work, I also tried several guides of the E610 but none seems to work so I guess it is incompatible with the E450...
But I will continue to update the thread with news, updates and stuff ported to this (awesome?) device.
Some mods by Slipsystem: Here
And now, thanks to the amazing user slipsystem, it is posible to unlock the bootloader of the E450! Follow this link to find how to do it: (L5 II) Unlocked Bootloader (Optima Team)
Any comments or links are welcome.
I bought the LG E450g, I suppose that the "G" would refer to my area and frequencies 850/1900.
I have not tried to root yet.
It have a nice performance, more than a Galaxy S Duos, and the UI feels really smooth.
The only issue with this phone is the Wifi/Data disconnecting every time the screen goes off. This means I will not receive Whatsapp messages o whatever that uses internet until I turn on the phone.
I have tryng looking for a setting, app, or something else without luck. Also I did a factory reset, and flashing a new firmware, but still no luck.
But in overall, the phone just works fine.
Have you enable the "keep wifi on during sleep" option? Which apps have you tried?

Yes, I enabled "Keep Wifi on during Sleep", disable "Mobile data Limits", everything, but no luck.
Im still looking for an app that forces the connection always on, but no luck.
Is your E450g working fine? Which firmware do you have?
I'm using stock firmware but I've never experimented that kind of problem... mmm, you can try with an app called "Advanced Wifi Lock (Free) search it in google play.
Finally someone else confirming this issue. I have the same problem with my L450. I initially thought this was a problem only on my phone and that it i had a problem with the firmware. I have flashed the latest Chinese firmware and still have the same problem. LG is unaware of this problem this is there reply to this issue

Dear Slipsystem,
The part where you enabled the Wi-Fi during sleep mode that’s fine like that and did you have a stable Wi-Fi connection prior to this?
When you try going onto the internet does it give you an error message and if so what error message does it display?
Kind Regards,

I do have a stable wifi connection, the same thing happens on my home network as well as my work network. I get no error message using chrome it just tells me the page could not be loaded. I also am not able to browse shared folders using es-file exporer.
I did google it and alot of people say thats its a rom issue. I am not using a custom rom, and I dont want to send my phone in for repairs if all they are going to do is re install the software. I have tried doing a factory reset but I still have the same issue.
I can re-install using the lg mobile support tool but I am trying to avoid having to do everything again.
have you experienced this problem before on any of your other l series 2 devices?
could this be a firmware issue?
I had I haven't experienced this issue with the samsung s3 running jelly bean or the sony xperia go running jellybean.
It shows that the wifi is connected but its not. when going to google it says page could not be loaded. I installed wifi fix and everytime i lock my phone when I unlock it wifi fix has to repair the connection.

Hi Slipsystem,
It’s rare that we get issues like these and if we do get issues where the phones system is not working as it should we flash the phone (run software) and it normally resolves the problems.
We have never experienced this problem on any of the LG series as far as I know. What I can advise you to do as a customer is take the phone back to the store where it was purchased from or to your nearest network provider where they can have the phone tested for you.
I can give you the hard factory reset code as well but I don’t think it will really make a difference (3845#*450#) then WCDMA only – then Factory Reset.
Kind Regards,
Dominic Bridger

I think the best option for us is to install wifi fixer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wahtod.wififixer I found this to be the only app that works. and wait for a new update or custom rom that fixes this issue
i have the same problem! with WPA2 nets! LG E451G (Argentina)
Does this problem happens with all the networks you are connected to? I mean has anybody tried with a different network? Because it seems that the only difference of wifi on E610 and E450 is a "dual-band" feature, maybe it is a compatibility issue with your router frecuency?
Or maybe it is a firmware problem? this is my software info:

Hello Slipsystem.
I was thinking that it was only my phone too.. No app fixed, nor flashing new roms, nothing worked.
I saw your post about Wifi Fixer. So I will try it.
I was doing it the manual way, -Wake up phone.. -Wifi off.. -Wifi on.(Each time my screen went off) (Yeah, maybe 5 times in 5 minutes).
Also I tried modifying the build.prop, not luck - (To be true, I didnt know what I was doing, I was really desperate)

I know no one has been able to get a custom recovery to work for our phone yet. But if it were possible what would you like to do with it other than Install a custom rom. Debloating is a must but what type of mods/ports would you want to install on your device. for me i miss the xperia range of media apps so I ported it to my phone. Before I write a tutorial I want to know what your suggestions are.
Tell me what you would like ported to the L5 II.
I guess everyone is shy.... This is the reason why I asked the question.

Hello again! As you know my L5 II was dead, but now thanks to you it is not anymore.
Answering your questions. The first thing I would like to see is a WiFi-issue Fix. Then maybe a AOSP-themed (Settings and some other things) lite rom, or even better.. a cyanogen port.
For mods or port, maybe a port from the beautiful lock-screen of the LG G2 (Maybe I'm dreaming). But to be honest, I don't really envy anything from other phones.
In overall, I'm very happy with this phone.
The only bad thing = WiFi :silly:
If you are really interested on developing, porting, modding.. I could be a tester for your work
hi
Good work, keep going to discover things for this device.:good:
The recent news from CyanogenMod are that they are working on an installer so that the mod will work on any phone yay, so im expecting it will solve the wifi issue on ours... I guess it will install a custom recovery so we will be able to flash easier

WiFi Fix is a definite, I am not sure how to fix this though I think it has something to do with a kernel tweak or something. I dont like to play around with anything except the system folder.
AOSP-Theme I am looking into for you, I found a few threads but it seams to require a CWM based rom.
LG G2 seems possible as far as I know it is the same as our lock screen just with added effects. I am pretty sure this is possible. It might take some time as I need to download a LG G2 rom to port these feature and the Roms are almost 2 gigs and my internet connection is very slow. It is probably something to do with pushing the lockscreensettings apk and then copying some libs and frameworks to get all the effects to work.

Hi, I'm from Argentina. I have the e451g and had the same problem. Solution: change router security from WPA2 to WPA
Sorry for not posting in a while guys I have been down with a sickness.
I am looking at all suggestions and trying my best to help out.
some progress
ivan0550 request for LG G2 Lock Screen. I am not getting a Force Close anymore but I am stuck with editing the framework-res.apk hopefully after editing that I will get the effects to work.
ivan0550 request for a wifi fix, still havent found a working solution for this, Fede37 recommended changing the router settings from WPA2 to WPA this has no effect. I am going to try setting my router to different bands and frequencies to see if it will stabilize.
rotorto request for mass storage option, all of the tweaks that I made to the build.prop doesnt seem to throw my phone into mass storage mode. I am not sure if there is a way to get this to work without installing a 3rd party app.
ivan0550 request for a AOSP like settings. I am not experienced in Cynogenmod or AOSP as all of my previous android phone didnt have one of these custom roms available. I am not sure on how the settings work and what its sapposed to do but maybe this post can shed some lite
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2431622
all in alll I am having no luck but I am going to keep on trying. If i keep hitting a brick wall I will move onto another project and come back to trying to get these things to work but I wont forget about these requests.
Dont feel afraid to request anything as I will try my best to help out wherever possible. I love getting request as I like to modify my device and it just gives me insparation.

Update through samba share corrupted the installation
After putting the tar file in the update folder through samba (double checking the file was not corrupt). I rebooted the MX. It started loading the Kernel and system files and checked the MD5. All okay. But during update it reported some strange numbers (cannot recall at the moment). And dropped to a command line. I think it was write the files but failed. It did mention something about failing some mount. I had to reboot in recovery mode and update that way. I was wondering if this is a known issue and how to prevent it in the future.

I have a few of these CMX clone boxes laying arround from geekbuying.com. One of them refuses any rom (even the original one). I now resort to editing updater-script and remove checks (first few asserts). This box was fine until I installed a matricom image (latest). After that I was no longer able to do normal recovery procedure. Any ideas?

No that's not a known issue. I'm updating my box several times a day during development and never encountered such issue.
[BUG] 4.2.1 Enabling Wifi on Clean install
Hi
There seems to be an issue with v4.2.1 on a clean install from matricom's v1.1.6. If you enable wifi, the device crashes. If you upgrade from a previous version it's fine. Anyone else experience this or not? On that note, the new driver is working great. Fixes an issue I had with intermittent signal
when choosing the new power off from the system menu, the device appears to shut down, however stays on the blue led. using the power button on the remote then makes it switch to the red led (=really off). this also means that if i only shut down through the menu, next time i want to use the device i would have to push the power button twice.
does the device really shut down through the menu (with low/no power consumption) or is it a kind of sleeping state?

Unfortunately MX2 cannot be completely powered off programmatically. Powering the box off from the shutdown menu, puts it into sleep (suspend) state. But again, unfortunately you cannot wake it up from that state, you need to power off/power on it again.
Wifi Bug? 4.2.1
Hi Codesnake,
Firstly - Thanks! I cant believe how professional this is, even things I didn't think would ever work (usb audio, certain video formats etc) are now working perfectly.
I had a couple of issues with one of the boxes I was running it on, so I decided to factory reset and install 4.2.1 clean. I found I was unable to connect to my wireless network (invalid arguments). Everything worked fine on Beta 6.
So, I downgraded to Beta 6 and sure enough was able to connect. Then I upgraded to 4.2.1 and wireless continued to work.
Not a problem unless you install fresh, but thought you may like to know.
OpenElec on Amlogic S805
Hi Codesnake,
I'm interested on how it's going in getting the OpenElec firmware compatible with the S805. I have just bought an MXQ box which I haven't found to be particularly stable with the Android build with the addons I use. I use the same addons on an MX with OpenElec and they on-the-whole it works fine with the latest Gotham 13.2 / Openelec 4.2.1 release.
I would be happy to lend a hand in any beta testing if this can help you out at all. I have a dev/test/support background, so should be pretty competent in reporting back any issues that may arise.
Cheers,
GiantJ

I don't have such device, so currently this is not possible. If you or someone other are willing to donate a Minix NEO X8-H, then it would be possible.
Hello everybody here , just a question will this box be compatible with this openelec build ..thanks in advance

Hello Codesnake and thank you for all your efforts so as to help people like me,that ignorance is our first name.
I own the box of the title.
Would it be possible to install your openelec on that box?
Probably it would give much life to it,as far as I can understand.
Thank you in advance for your answer...

Unfortunately that box is not supported by my port of OpenELEC, and unlikely will be supported in future, because it is based on old AML8726-M3 chip.

ok then,my "crossfingered" wish didn't evolved as I would wish...
I wish I had the knowledge to contribute, because as far as I can understand that is the best pottential for boxes like this...
Nevertheless on to the subject. Thank you very much for your quick answer and thumbs up for your contribution to community...
Hopefully you get back part of the effort you been made...
Keep up your good work...
I ll be keep searching for an answer for that box cause I want to gift it to my father-in-law so as to keep entertain my 2 yo daughter.
But Pure Linux is something that I cannot handle, let's not disquss about him...anyway...

Some issues with 4.2.1
Although it works great on my (clone) MX2. (It is this box from geekbuying), I ran into a few small issues.
I have the occasional total freezup (although not seen so often the last couple of days) which I did not see on previous versions. Now sometimes it has turned itself off (blue led), maybe this freezup has something to do with it, I do not know (power safe mode maybe?). But more important I cannot get the device to turn back on after it is in the blue led state (either by me powering it off and then powering on by remote or when it got there itself).
Any thoughts?
Codesnake thank you for your work on EM8 what a difference it make on these boxes, I know this project is young, but what is your thoughts on getting the native bluetooth working on the box? It's not a huge thing but just interested on your input about it?
Thanks

[ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL] Nexus Stock for 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8.0 [SM-T290]

Here's my first effort at porting the Nexus Stock custom ROM to the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8.0 [SM-T290] on Android 10. It's very much a work in progress, but it should hopefully help blaze the trail for even better work.
Notes:
The current process may require you to reset to factory defaults to remove file-based encryption. Remember to backup your data!
The system is based on eremitein's CAOS GSI project with the latest Stock variant from OpenGApps.
Boot animation and default wallpaper is from my Nexus series of custom ROMs for Android TV, and I'm using the Pixel boot animation with black background.
This should be installed using my latest TWRP build for the SM-T290.
The properties now correctly identify the device as a tablet, and so the Google Dialer and Messenger are no longer installed. I've also disabled the Emergency button, but SetupWizard still insists on reminding you to insert a SIM (sigh!).
This is unofficial and unsupported, so the usual caveats apply. Since we don't mess with the bootloader, you should be able recover from any problems...but nothing is guaranteed.
Not working:
Support for file-based encryption
MTP support (pending FFS MTP fix)

Hello! Finally first custom rom for our tablet =)
Using this for couple hours, it seems, almost everything works pretty fine. When i installed, the first issue was Google Assistant, cant skip this while first setup. Then i installed Magisk and see that SafetyNet check failed (but basic is true). SafetyNet on stock firmware failed too, but MagiskHide always help. In your ROM, if i turn on MagiskHide, i got cyclyng reboot, over and over again until i turn "hide" off.
Its really sad that MTP is not working.
About the rom: Everything good, no trash apps, works faster than stock, battery drain good... and... i dont know what i can say else =)
Thank you so much for this work!
Also i have a one question. Can you make a custom Kernel with GPU Overclock? Tablet not so bad and run some games pretty well, with overclock they can be runs much better. GPU is a bottleneck in this tablet i think.
Sorry for bad English, if it is =)

SafetyNet fails by design on any device with an unlocked bootloader and custom ROM. Magisk has its tricks to try to fool SafetyNet, but it's a bit of Whack-a-Mole game.

Unfortunately, the Android 10 kernel source that was posted last week is not working. It compiles fine, but builds to a significantly different size and crashes to the bootloader when packaged in either boot or recovery images. Until that's addressed, I can't provide an MTP fix or any overclocking.
Note: I just posted a v3.4.0-1 update to my TWRP for SM-T290 thread that includes a new custom T290UES3ATC1 kernel fixing MTP support. If you install it over the TWRP build included in this build, it will allow file transfers on this custom ROM by rebooting to recovery.
Since this is an Android 10 custom ROM, I can't use it in the boot image, but it's a workaround until we get working T290XXU3BTI2 kernel source.
Hi, there. I've managed to get the image installed, used the compatible version, etc. After rebooting, I got to TWRP, did the wipe, etc. Upon reboot, I get through to the setup process, skip the SIM setup stuff (no cell stuff in this T290) and then when trying to add a wifi connection, it never completes the "Connect to WiFi" step. If I skip, I can get through manual set up of the basics, manual time config, a few other prompts. All that seems okay. But even when I get to the main menu menu, it seems like everything is working (pulls up, etc) but I'm still not connected. The WiFi radio appears to be turned completely off. Each time I try to turn it back on, it flashes on for a split second, then immediately turns off again.
Any ideas I can try to get this enabled?
Edit: Bluetooth is working, was able to connect to another device. The device had previously been using WiFi with the stock image with no problems.

Okay, all weekend I've been trying to figure out why wireless isn't working on my custom kernel, but it appears the OEM kernel isn't working as well...and I didn't even realize it. This is actually a hugely valuable data point that will drive my troubleshooting in an entirely different direction.
I'm embarrassed that I missed this in my initial smoke testing, but at least I know that my MTP fix is solid. More info to follow...
Awesome, I passively helped with a thing! =)

I can still only reproduce the wireless networking issue with kernel's built from Samsung's posted kernel source. The released T290XXU3BTI2 boot image works fine (and my original tarball shouldn't have replaced it). Did you upgrade to the OEM release of T290XXU3BTI2 prior to installing my custom ROM? If not, you may be running with an Android 9.0 kernel and Android 10.0 vendor partition.
Hm. I believe I did, but I went through a few iterations before I got everything to work right. (Not super familiar with Odin.) I restored everything by using that OEM image, pushed through Odin. Restarted the system and caught it back into download mode and replaced AP with your image ( Nexus_Stock_AQ_T290XXU3BTI2-20201206.tar.md5). Restarted, caught TWRP, and used it to wipe the data and cache. Restarted. Long cycle, followed by the "Let's get started" screen.
I can try this again tomorrow, starting from scratch in case I messed something up.
I've gotten it maybe working after a few iterations. I'm not expert at this, so this is pure cargo-cult work of just trying to follow the various instruction sets out there, but I've tried several iterations and documented a few FAIL messages. Try not to laugh too hard at my flailing.
What I did:
1. Restored to OEM (ODIN 3.14.4, used theBL/AP/CP/CSC from XAR-T290XXU3BTI2-20201021133521.zip)
--Restore completed normally
2. Confirmed functional. Performed "Let's Go" setup. WiFi was working and detected my AP during setup. Did device registration etc.
--Tablet working normally
3. Stopped tablet, put back into download mode, used Odin3 again , AP = Nexus_Stock_AQ_T290XXU3BTI2-20201206.tar.md5 (no BL / CP / CSC selected)
--Fail at system.img.ext4
--Error on the tablet: SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 3 > Binary 0
4. Restarted, and redid step 1 to restore back to stock.
--Did not confirm status, in case first boot did something to cause the issue
5. Restarted, and repeated step 3
--Same failure point / message
6. Restarted, redid step 1 again to restore
7. Restarted immediately and restored again, this time using stock BL / CP / CSC along with custom AP above.
--Same failure point / message
This next works, but there is an error, an
8. Reread information above, decided to apply the TWRP MTP correction you list above. I know this is stupid, because of version differences, but I thought it might be worth a try because I think this may have been what I did to get it partly working before. (Is there another TWRP MTP corrected image I would use here??)
9. Repeated step 1 to get fully stock
10. Restarted, Pushed the TWRP image from your post reference above in AP, along with the BL/CP/CSC files from BTI2 (because dumb? This seems like it shouldn't work because of the version difference.)
11. Pushed without issue. Made it to the TWRP menu. Did a wipe. Restarted.
12. Used Odin to push stock BL/CP/CSC files along with your custom AP again.
13. It worked (kinda.) I did not get the rev check fail I got before, but I did get an error when the vbmeta.img came up which read: SECURE CHECK FAIL : VBMETA -- But Odin kept pushing and gave me a PASS! at the end.
14. Restarted. Again, caught TWRP on the restart and told it to wipe again (just to be safe, but this could also have just been stupid)
15. Restarted.
16. Okay, this time I got to the "Start" button, and it actually made it to the wifi screen *and detected my AP!
17. Set up google account -- Initial login worked, but 2-step verification did not (brings up the correct prompts, but both the bluetooth and usb titankey get to a certain point and then halt. In the case of the bluetooth, it gets to the point where it says you need to enter the 6-digit code from the back of the key, but pressing NEXT button does nothing. In the case of the usb titankey, it prompts for the "tap the gold disc", I get lights on the titankey, but it never recognizes the tap.)
18. Used the "tap on a phone" method instead,, which worked.
19. Noticed an odd message after the "checking your account" message, couldn't catch all of it, but it said something about screen lock already being on. Probably benign.
20. Changed font sizes and swapped wallpapers just to check them out. Works as expected.
21. Tested Play Store. Loads. Was able to update apps (some are still updating) and install a few things I wanted. No issues.
22. Wanted to validate that the bluetooth titan key worked, so I went and paired it. Works fine from this level, got the "enter the code" prompt from paring,.
23. All apps I've tried so far have worked. Will explore some underpinnings to see if I find any other goofiness.
So, WiFi works now? Didn't work last times I did it a few days ago? Not sure what I did different, but pushing TWRP (even if it's the wrong version) seems to have done the trick.
(Now I just have to try to parse out whether I need to do the multidisabler / root / other stuff.)
I did find something not working, which is the screen lock. I am unable to get it to set to anything other than SWIPE. It *tries* to set it when I go to pin/password/pattern, it loads the change function for that thing, but when I complete the change, I get the same error I got during setup:
Screen lock was already changed. Try again with the new screen lock.
Additional: While bluetooth seems to be working for device connections and so on, I don't appear to be able to get sound output to actually go there, even when the paired device is listed as the correct one for sound output. Probably more of my just being wrong and uninformed.

Interesting. I will have to go through this process again, perhaps.
Will it work on the SM-T295 model?
Edit: And also can you provide me with a screenshot of the ROM? Thanks
I also have the Bluetooth connects but no audio issue. It instead plays through the speaker. Also the same issue if you plug headphones in via the headphone jack, but at least in that case you can hear through the headphones. Love the nexus theme, can't stand the samsung UI.
So can this ROM be used on SM-T295?
Also having the "no audio through Bluetooth" issue. other than that, build is awesome!
I am having trouble flashing this on my tablet; I have OEM unlock enabled and have unlocked the bootloader. It went through a reset after this and I confirmed that my version is T290XXU3BTI2. I flashed via Odin and had a failure like qnmtcat (SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 3 > Binary 0), so I flashed back to T290XXU3BTI2 and then tried again. Now, I am stuck at the pre-boot software update error screen and can't get into anything or restore via Smart Switch as directed on the screen; I have tried various button combinations at various times (holding Vol + & Vol - stops boot at unlocked bootloader warning; pressing Vol + & Vol - opens Options menu, but all options return to error screen; from power off Vol + & Vol - & inserting cable returns to error screen). I haven't used Odin or custom ROMs in a few years, but I'm not unfamiliar with the process from that time. Thanks for any assistance! I would REALLY like to get a ROM like this going because the tablet is painfully slow for me on stock.
UPDATE: I was able to flash back to the OEM ROM and it is running fine now, but still would appreciate any help in figuring out what I am doing wrong and why it isn't working for me. TIA
UPDATE #2: I got it to work doing mostly the same steps as qnmtcat: from stock, flashing the TWRP 3.4.0-1 linked above and then the ROM; I did still get an error with vbmeta, but I haven't noticed the effect of that yet. I also previously had issues getting into TWRP using the button combination in the OP and it seems like holding just the Vol + beginning immediately after pressing Power to bypass the unlocked bootloader warning screen works better for me.

looks like the exaxt same process I had to take (first twrp 3.4.0-1, then rom), same difficulties with accessing twrp recovery, volume up button seems to do the trick better.
do you have sound routing through bluetooth, or also no sound going to bluetooth device, although connected?

I had the same issue UNTIL I played with some of the settings in the "Phh Treble Settings"! Try enabling "Force-disable A2DP offload" in "Misc features" and then restarting; that seemed to work for me.

If you're having problems with decoding some videos (blurried),
this is mostly because the avc hardware decoder gets configured wrongly.
You can disable it with my magisk module:
avc_decoder_disabler.zip
If you are going to use Gapps,
I recommend to use the pico package!
https://opengapps.org/
For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.
If you want to pass the safety net check, root your device with magisk.
Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

20.04.2022 Re-Implemented Boeffla Sound
Spoiler: How to improve GPS
You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.
Spoiler: How to encrypt
If you plan to encrypt your device, the first step is to backup all your important stuff.
Reboot into recovery and choose:
Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Data (check)
Choose "Repair or Change File System" and afterwards "Resize File System".
After this step, choose Reboot System and you can start to encrypt your drive.
If you can't find this option in the settings by your own, use the search function and type "encryption" and you can start.
Spoiler: How to install it?

Thanks for your ROM. Tried to install it on N5110, but nothing worked, have you built it for this version? If not yet, than may I be able to change updater-script somehow? Want to test it very much, thanks.

Ok great, but at first I have to buy at least a n5100, with this I could also build for n5110 because they are equal enough.
Maybe we find another device donator or I will wait until I can buy it from the donations.
Update 13.02.2021:
Fixed livedisplay support
Fixed zram and set it to 400MB
Fixed magnetic sensor, the rest is still in progress...
Only via OTA.
Update 14.02.2021:
First test build for GT-N5110, now I need you.
Hi @html6405,
First thanks for working on this device.
I am rocking a n5110 and just flashed the new build (in TWRP 3.3.1-0). I formatted all filesystems (cache, system and data) (not just wiping) as ext4.
Unfortunately, my device is bootlooping at first startup.
I just flashed the ROM, nothing else.
As doing an adb logcat does not work during startup, I tried flashing this zip and retried getting a logcat, to no avail. The device is still bootlooping for 10+ minutes.
Maybe you can instruct me to help you better.

Thanks for testing it, I had to build this completely blind because I still dont own this device.
I will create a adb enabled kernel for tomorrow and then I hope you can provide me a logcat.

Nice. Waiting for it.
Some further observations/clarifications:
The kernel is probably fine. When booting normally, the Lineage boot animation is running. When connecting the tablet to a charger, it goes in this "charging" mode just fine.
The tablet is not bootlooping, but rather stuck in the booting process. It just stays at the Lineage boot animation. No restarts.

Hmm I was able to boot it up on my n5120. But it is very complicated this way, I think I will need a own device...
Have had time to play a little with rom for 5120. Looks nice overall, nice work pal @html6405!
I couldn't make some things work tho:
(I am sorry, i am not a 'pro' as a tester. I don't know how to provide logs. If there is some crash course in testing i might try, but time is scarce nowadays.)
ROM with MicroG = NO boot. Gets stuck in the first loop, after a while aborts and restarts to TWRP.
(Haven't really tested with gapps, don't use that)
ROM alone = BOOT.
Clean flashed, haven't tried anything else.
Blutooth: Tried to connect to a keyboard that works ok with everything else. Finds it but loses connection very quickly. Hard to reconnect. Seems very unstable.
Wifi: works. Seems stable.
Mobile calls: work, after two reboots.
SMS: work
MMS: don't work directly, but that usually is a matter of finding the right settings for your provider.
Mobile data: not working.
Autorotate: Not working. When you start the camera it flips the autorotate once but you can't turn it back. Goes away with rebooting but the same thing then.
Cameras don't work. Video does tho.
That's all i had time for tonight. Hope it helps in some way!
Thanx for all the work! Looking forward to next versions!

Hmm microG should actually work, I've set the permissions and enabled signature spoofing.
How have you installed it?

Yes, the sensor isnt working yet, I have to overwork the whole hal. It was already a big fight to get the light, proximity and magnetic sensor working.
You could disable auto rotation.

I installed microG in TWRP, directly after the rom, without booting the rom in between. As i always do with microG. I just didn't run the patcher since you said you enabled the signature spoofing. First time I chose factory reset between flashing and booting, and the other time without it. Same result.
I didn't get any of the cameras to work. The app opens, i can press the shutterbutton but no shots are made. Same for both cameras. But the videos are made and they lay obediently in the gallery.
Today i'm flash your rom for gt-n5110

Keyboard! I'm really surprised, because in lineage 14.1 the keyboard did not work and I thought it was a problem with the bluetooth adapter (keyboard: vontar)
Works connected to a bluetooth speaker with feedback
Recorder (sound and screen)
Root worked after install zip
SPen, using spencommand 1.2.30* (root)
IR port working, using galaxy s4 universal remote
audioFX
Spoiler: Bugs
Memory permission strange working, first time all apps give error and not work, but now working
Root is not installed initially, i think you want make it, because app magisk installed
when the device starts, in the middle of the setup there is a page about the mobile network, which is not on the tablet
have flashlight button in upper spoiler
This is a very good test firmware for me. I also want (if possible) that there was a setting of the vibration strength as on lineage 14.1, otherwise it is quite strong and unpleasant)

[SHARE] Android 11 update

Please read and DO AT YOUR OWN RISK
After searching everywhere and trying to get a clear answer on the Global ROM_ROW support for Android 11 on the Lenovo Legion Duel (one), all I could find was don't use the Chinese ROM as it has many issues. So, like any person told not to I tried it. Though it worked I had multiple issues with sensors and my cell service in the USA. I went back to GLOBAL ROM .332 which was the most stable for me but did lose my casting ability for playing my games to my TV. This is a deal breaker for me as I take my phone on the go and hook to friends and family's TV's for Steam, Emulation, etc and we use the casting, as this allows me to play my games. Note I also use it for Gamepass cast to the screen for friends to watch the game etc.
I finally found an Android 11 non China ROM, but it was an EE ROM on another site (which I had to pay for) but NO Global ROW ROM as installed on the phone when I purchased it. After backing up my data yet again, I tried to install this one (see link below for how to install). Once I installed and rebooted the Lenovo Legion L79031 v EE 12.5.251_ST rom, and set my cell APN, Turned the 5G to NSA-SA and networks preference (to NR-LTE-GDSM etc...) it began to function. After prox. 30 seconds after a reboot from changing the settings, I got a notification for an update (YES OTA). The update is for 12.5.320 which has notification fixes and bug fixes. Hopefully, this will be my last time having to flash the device! But I can confirm the EE rom for 11 does function on T-Mobile in the USA and works with out issue so far, has only been a short time for usage, but finally a solution for me.
Pros:
Android 11
Battery life improved
Smoother touch rate
OTA UPDATES
(Everything seems to function including cell and text messages on USA T-Mobile including the 5G NR)
Cameras work for everything even BARCODE readers and Mobile banking depo which was an issue before (at least for me). Pic snap faster but no real software updates from last build for controls as far as I can tell.
ZUI loads much faster.
Cons:
Lost all settings backups seems to cause issue when restoring so manually re-adding is the best solution.
APN setting and other settings might need to be redone, if installing from a back up or updating with OTA update.
Rebooting seems to take longer.

As for what everyone really wants the links and how to install, I have linked to a video I send to others to use for installing the ROM, it is NOT my video, but the best one on YOUTUBE( I found recently); I had my 8 year old son help me a few weeks ago update a friends Duel and I let my son follow the vid and install the rom, OBV I did the downloads on the PC and setup the file location but he was able to follow the steps well to load the files to the phone, which is why I suggest to us it. The first time installing is scary! There is BIG BIG BIG pre-req beforehand, back up your phones drives as mentioned in other post on this forum! I have had to use mine two or three times and with out it I would have been SOL! See links below for ROM and VID.
I do not take any responsibility if you brick your device or LOOSE your data, etc or if this doesn’t work on another US carrier, as I have only tested AT&T (friends’ phone) and T-Mobile (MINE). I will try to help if it’s messed up, but please back your stuff up!
(Not my video, but how to install)
ROM- EE version (I believe this to be UK ROM) (Again I PAID FOR THIS, but I am sharing it for FREE, as we should all have access to these OTA).

Everything is working smoothly for me. I haven't had any issues that are show stoppers.
I did find it harder to change my network preferences, for cell service as I have to search for it vs going to advance setting. But again this is to change from NR/GSM/CMDA/GSM etc. most people leave this a lone but I move it around depending on the area and service I am in.

Did you install from a Global Rom and if so what version I installed from .332 as said with no issues. Spoke to someone else today on Facebook, and he was able to install and get it working as well. More than happy to help if I can.
I think that's the incompatible message
Get back to android 10 then flash the rom again
On .332 i get the incompatible hardware message.
You can fix that by flashing persist img
So i need to flash back the chinese rom, backup persist then install .332 and restore persist?

you dont exatly need the chinese rom just any working stable android 10 rom. flash rom then backup the persist and modem. then try android 11 again.
there is a guide here by mrgreapes
Incompatible Hardware with System ROW ROM 332
When I install the .332 global rom, when I start the device, I receive a message that says: the hardware is incompatible with the current system. Someone with a similar problem?

persist fix the incompatible hardware message, camera and some sensor problem
modem fix no sim signal.
Hi i'm been looking for this good news for a long time ago. I have 3 questions. The first one, can I install the EE 12.5.251 row ROM directly with the qfil software, I mean I just exctracting the 251 ROM on a folder with the same name on the c unit and then run the qfil software?… The second one: I'm on CN ROM 12.5.225, so I wan't to know if there is any big chance to get the black screen as before when I tried to get back to the global? And the last one, the video on your post of how to change to global is broken can you fixed please?. Thank you very much for your time and patience. Greetings
I used 12.5.320 and I started to have service issues after about 3 months and the OS crashed, most stable version for me is still 12.0.332. I have not tried using the newest china ROM and thought about trying it
Please could you reupload the video cuase it's not available Now
