For those who are looking for a good GCAM. I created a .XML and ill share the apk...

Download both files, install the apk, copy the XML to configs folder ir the GCam, if that folder doesnt show up in file explorer, then open GCam go to settings and look for advanced settings, look for save xml (sth like that) create a XML with a random name and now look for Google Camera Folder on internal storage , go to configs and paste the XML i shared, then open the GCam and double touch in black space and Select the XML file and your GCam will be ready and setted up.

If u havent enabled CAMERA2API u need to enable It. Soo u Will need to root your device

Try disabling stabilization.
Thanks for the gcam and xml. Tried allsorts and now i can finally use video!
I'm using this at moment and works great. Selfie video used to crash with default camera.

yes super resolution is working fine. But after taking the picture u have to use ur gallery to see the pic. If u try to open the pic directly from the camera, the camera will crash.

Hello Friends,
Since last year I flashed latest version of Lineage OS on my Asus Zenfone selfie ZD551KL. While everything else about Lineage OS was great and neat, There was one major deal breaker- The Pixelmaster camera did not work. The camera is what makes or breaks the phone and in case of Zenfone selife, getting stock camera to work was paramount. Especially because the the laser focusing system, Dual tone flash and front flash worked correctly only in stock app. Not to mention that stock is otherwise fantastic with all manual and advanced options.
Sure while you could go to Play store or even get an APK to install, few imp functions did not work on new rom- Namely Panaroma, DOF, 360 and HDR.
But wait! I have a fix for that! and 100% working fix that!

Remove your old camera
Go to CWM/ TWRP and flash Zip from SD card.
Thats it!~ Pixelmaster camera should be installed and ALL functions should work like stock. I found this file after trying numerous other files and other trick and this post is a summation of about 7 months of research. Leave a like if you found this helpful and don't forget to share!

Yes works, and i'm using the latest global beta with twrp recovery and magisk for root and module, but don't download the latest version of gcamera, try the 4.x

Now i've uninstalled the API2 module because the front camera was upside down.....
But i've installed the magisk API2 Module, reboot the phone, then downloaded some gcamera version from the thread posted before. One of those worked good, but don't expect miracle.

That background lens blur effect does work well? and HDR mode works aswell? Panoramic mode?

Not used panoramic or hdr. The version i guess is this one GCam_4.4.012.156195200_MI5S_MIUI_Android_7.0_PIXEL_II_XL_v.1.1.apk

Stable Versions are available for many devices but, i couldn't find one Redmi 5(Rosy). Has anybody got a stable version of google cam or Gcam?

Yes I have one that completely work everything on Stock ROM like portait mode on front/rear and even slow motion too but sadly it was old version (5.1) other new version seems to not work...

I use this version Mod google camera BSG v2e
You can try other version here Google Cam BSG, 6.2 and above for Android 9 Pie, 6.1.021 and below work on Android 8 Oreo, try both BSG v2a or BSG v2e, it is the most stable version I think on Redmi 5 , it also have night sight
gcam 6.2 all working version. follow the instructions to the point.

I realised your link was for Andoid 9. I'm on MIUI10.1 official global which runs Android 8.1
I have a Mi 8 Lite global version for a month and since i recived it im loking for the mod of Google camera to this divice, but i didnt find it yet.

c2api is not enabled on your phone.
This two magisk modules are only for MIUI.
If the modules don't work via Magisk maganer, try to flash them via TWRP.

It's just for gcam, but i dont have any problem with the stock camera. Both camera modules are working well with both software.
So camera2 api is not enabled yet even after the Pie update?! There were many posts talking about it...

Hi , i found that eu rom is the best and i want to install it with the gcam ,cause i don't really like the stock camera , i'm pretty new with rooting , twrp or magisk , can i ask you some good guides to install them all ,possibly in english , i searched some but couldn't find a good one.

if you are using stock rom then you are on android 7.0 nougat... search for a mod that run's on that version. i thinks it's gcam v.4

dude, read carefully...
if you are on stock miui rom you need a gcam mod for nougat version. it doesn't matter who dev make it... it HAS to be for nougat version.
search on celsoacevedo port hub. again: i think you need gcam version 4, not 5, not 6 not, 7, but 4
also, after install the app, don't open it, but go to app info and delete "cache". Then open it.
hope you can make it.
if dont... try lineage 17.0 anderson mendes + gcam mgc_7.2_parrot (it is working for real):good:

well... then no gcam for you.. unless you install a custom rom with android 10 or 9. remember that gcam was created for the original pixel (android 7.1), so all port maybe work or maybe not.
