I gave up. I've reinstalled the stock rom, using Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant, as you can see.
I hope someone help us

Here's how I booted 04/12 build earlier today on my 1955-5. I was on another AOSP rom when I installed Havoc..
Booted into bootloader by holding power until it reboots soon as screen shuts off I let go power holding volume down entering bootloader,
Plug up to laptop...
fastboot set_active a
fastboot reboot bootloader
fastboot boot recovery (i use orangefox.img)
Format data in Orange fox recovery, wipe data system, cache, flash copy partition AB.zip, flash Havoc rom zip, reboot system. Then I kinda ran through rom settings and set a few things up really quick enabled dev options again and usb debugging, then fastboot boot recovery, flash Nikgapps, flash Magisk Canary zip reboot system. My installion methods differ slightly based on what happens during install and of course whether I boot into system afterwards or back to recovery or it hangs or whatever.. I kept going back in twrp as well after folllwing installation directions from the op which are the same one i use to install all roms usually and 95% of the time I always boot into system fine. Try booting Orange fox recovery and formatting data and wiping everything and see if it works for you. You probably already know this but always make sure your copy partitions AB zip gets installed with zero errors and copies everything how it should by watching your screen during flash and of course make sure you're in slot_ a when installing it. I'm pretty sure that's what I did today when I got it going and it booted. I was on AEX previously. Another great rom we have.
**If you were flashing the recovery installation zip during install skip that and instead try reboot bootloader then boot back into recovery: fastboot boot Orangefox.img ...instead of flashing the recovery installation zip. I've read that sometimes that can cause a rom to not boot up. I just boot recovery vs installing it. Takes like 2 seconds. If you do what I did and it still doesn't boot try fastbooting your firmware then doing installation again. I bet it's a recovery issue that's the culprit here.
@Dark98 I've only been gone from Havoc since 3.2 or 3.3 and talk about kicking ars! Awesome job on this!! One thing I love about Havoc is it has some nav bar options for long press, double tap: open app or power menu that I haven't seen in other roms and to me that's mandatory. I hope someone will some day port smart bar from Pie. I sure love and miss DUI from pie, mainly the smartbar part of it! Awesome job on this fine rom!!! A true work of art here!

p.s.: where can i find OrangeFox for Moto G7 Power?

Hi, well. Now i say what i done. Maybe something wrong.
1) Removed Google Account on my device Moto G7 Power (XT1955-4).
2) Power off and booted into bootloader. Plug up to laptop.
3) Open CMD and type fastboot set_active a
4) fastboot reboot bootloader
5) fastboot boot "F:\....\OrangeFox-R1.2-Stable-ocean (3).img"
6) Formatted and wiped Dalvik/ART Cache, data, Internal Storage, system first on Slot B and then switched on Slot A and do same thing. (maybe i do this mistake).
7) I've flashed copy-partition-AB.zip on Slot A
8) Flashed Havoc-OS-v3.4 zip
9) Reboot System...but there's a message "No OS installed!".
I don't know the mistake!!!
I've replaced Stock Moto G7 Power ROM with LMSA. But i would like to flash Havoc-OS. In my Redmi Note 7 i have it.

I never pay attention to the whole "no os installed" message. Mine says that quite a bit and I reboot and I'm fine. That's just because of for formatting data I believe that that shows up.
When you switch slots are you rebooting bootloader afterwards? I do that so I am indeed in that slot because far as I know we aren't switched to another slot until we do that. As long as you get copy partition AB zip successfully installed/copied good while you're on slot A then if for some reason you don't boot you still should be safe far as bricking goes. While I don't wipe both slots same way you are I think you should still boot. I flash that copy AB zip every time I go to install anything on slot a and I've flashed 100+ times probably since my last brick and no more bricks so I'm gonna keep on flashing it in slot a every time just to stay safe.
If you don't boot after it gives you message "no os installed" and you reboot system after that and you still loop around to recovery try flashing your firmware then format data, flash copy AB zip then Havoc reboot system.

No your method makes sense because when we reboot after rom install we switch to other inactive slot. Like an update is:
Boot recovery, switch slots to inactive slot, reboot recovery, flash rom update zip + recovery installer zip, reboot recovery, flash gapps and magisk, wipe delvik cache reboot system.
Now I guess since recovery comes in build so we skip the recovery zip part and just reboot recovery. Haven't done it yet but when an update comes I definitely will.

On update did you: Boot recovery, switch to other inactive slot, reboot recovery, flash rom update zip, reboot recovery, flash gapps and magisk , wipe delvik cache, reboot system?
I believe we skip the flash recovery zip after rom because the rom now comes with recovery as far as I know that's the proper update method.

Boy followed his advice and it worked here too!
Really.
Following the tutorial on the main page and also giving the same error, it keeps coming back to TWRP I don't know why!
Thank you.

Now I have another issue...LOL.
Battery go down 70% --> 0%
First I tried to charge my device using official charger but, I gone on fastboot mode, I have this message "Battery Low (Charging)", but if I connect on laptop I have this one "Battery OK (Charging)". I don't know why. I can't boot nothing. No ROM, no recovery. I tried use Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant to flash Stock ROM...but it failed...
If I try to disconnect my device charger wall or disconnect laptop...it power off and I can't go fastboot mode without to be connected in charger.

Good morning friends, I found a BUG with me at least if someone knows the solution if I put the 2 SIM CARDs to use I simply don't have mobile data to navigate, it only works if I leave a single CHIP. I've seen the config options all active, APNS etc ... only works if I leave with only chips.

My dear friends after installing HAVOC my GPS does not work, does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm having a problem where after setup, advanced settings is constantly crashing.
Force stopping doesn't help
I also don't have service.

My weather apps and all have worked fine. Haven't used gps because stupid Corona lockdown situation lately but there are ways to make your GPS perform far better than stock on any device. I'll try and look that up and I'll check mine more now and report back within the hour.
Edit added: Gps won't even turn on at all on my device. I downloaded gps test app by barbeau and flipped it on on both my devices. Moto g7 power and my Xiaomi Mix 2 and G7 has no reading at all while my other Mix 2 immediately had a reading.. I've never even used gps on my G7. ?

I've never had any type of service issues whatsoever on this rom. Not sure what carrier you use or where you're located but you can try an apn swap using root explorer or another root file manager. To do the apn swap you simply delete your apn.conf.xml file (if there is one present) in system/product/etc and also in your /product/etc folders on your device. Just delete the current apn.conf.xml that's already there and replace with the one in this horrible video I made for a friend a while back. God I need to redo this video. ?? The quality is not so good but it shows how to do what I'm talking about. .
If you don't mind me asking, how did you install havoc rom? Like what was your exact installation procedure? Boot recovery, wipe xxxx
What model device do you have? Example: I have a 1955-5 Ocean Moto G7 Power , my device was purchased from Metro by TMobile...I use RETUS firmware ..
Only thing I can think of you have no service is maybe you installed in a way that caused this or possibly you were on a different firmware that may have caused this idk... If you do the apn swap and you have no data still then at least we can eliminate that. Here's a video on how to and the apn.conf.xml file is in the video description. Lemme know if you need help..

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP. Verison is updated monthly.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

the colour is actually f***ed bro on this rom
It's been working great over here so far. The only thing is Android Auto just not connecting to my car.
To O.P
Appreciation for the rom.
I was unable to use the rom due to the color would glitch after the phone screen turns off then back on. The color would not fix itself once it glitches.
Any update on this?
AOSP is a great rom to use.
Thanks again..

Are you still using AOSP?
How did you get past the color issue?
Thanks..
EDiT
I reinstalled the build dated 11/23 and I have to say Thank you for this lovely pure stockfish android ROM.
Running this for 12 hours and no bugs to report as of now. No more screen glitch.
Another great stable ROM for the motog7power..
Boot up time for this ROM is fast...
Led notification light...yay..
Like RR ROM I've grown liking to the led notification light on this phone. Why the stock ROM didn't utilize it?. Anyways glad its on this ROM.. Thanks..
Kernel Updated thanks.
I opened up my kernel app and found a sweet surprise.
This kernel included in this ROM has i/o scheduler "ZEN"
Also includes. CTS, fsync and some other goodies.
My experience so far 24 hours in.
Pros :
1.Custom kernel included
2.No zram
3.bare bones android ui
4.Gaming ROM
5.Signature spoofing
6.Can use google alternative ..ex.Nanodroid...etc.
7.Fastest boot up time on first install over other ROMs.
8.Fast and fluid
9.Notification LED
10.Great battery life.
Cons.
1.Unable to change theme to dark mode via chromeflags..in chrome browser. The browser included is fast and just as good.
2.Installation of Gapps stops the app settings and causes settings to crash.
(Fix). Install your google apps first prior to flashing gapps package.
3.Android setup notification wont go away unless you Use WiFi or untiick the check mark (additional setup) in the notifications of the set up apk. (AndroidSetup.apk)
Other the three cons this is highly recommended to try as a daily driver.. As of now this is the fastest ROM right now for the moto g7 power. Faster than crdroid...
Thanks o.p ..
This thread has crickets but why...?
72 hours in with this ROM and I'm not leaving this ROM till android 10.
Battery life is near stock. Other roms for some reason would drain more than stock but this ROM takes almost 10 minutes of use before by battery drops from 100-99.
Stock Moto Camera works on this ROM perfectly.
First ROM were no bugs on the camera use like stutter and stabilization issues. Switching from video to camera no force closes...yay... Thanks to the o.p who made the flashable camera zip..(see pic below) here on XDA.
Performance has been phenomenal. No lag experience.
(As one knows the meat of a good ROM is the kernel and compiler. The ROM is just the skin).
One thing though, if anyone knows a workaround or fix for "Chrome browser being unable to theme on this ROM???
I need dark mode on Chrome....
The browser on this ROM doest support dark mode as of now.
Other than that no other issues to report.

K, better than CrDroid, thx. Is there anything I need to know other than this/do I need to do anything differently? (Planning to flash ROM as soon as I get my device, perma twrp too)
-Unlock bootloader
-fastboot boot twrp.img
-Wipe System, data, dalvik/cache and internal storage
-Flash ROM, Magisk and TWRP-installer.zip
-Flash gapps -Boot to ROM, finish setting it up and then going back to flash it (I'm going to install Nano though, does that change anything? It only contains Google Package Installer, Google Play Services, Google App, Google tts, Sounds and Digital Wellbeing)

we're not fortunate to have updated ROMs aside from crdroid which is the only official ROM we got, others is like build, release and forget. But I think it's better than nothing

You can turn on dark mode by going to chrome://flags in the address bar. Search for "dark" and enable. Also, I think Edge browser is now based on chromium, and it had the dark theme build in the settings.

I hope it gets monthly updates I am running this ROM cause its the only one that does not play hard with micro SD cards. Crdroid you have a a SD card that's not compatible it will bootloop. I bought 3 cards with no luck. RR ROM works but it takes long to loss cause of the SD card this one plays nice will not give you troubles installing it in most cases.

Could it be the version that was installed by the gapps? Have you tried installing the newest apk for just chrome? Just wondering, i haven't installed this rom yet.

Any fix for this? Makes ROM unusable. Have tried re-flashing the rom a few times.
Edit: Temporary fix, Dev Options > enable sRGB > Reboot. But it glitches again after screen timeout.
Going back to stock as this rom is apparently unusable for the Amazon variant (crDroid took a lot of tweaking to get right on this variant also). Hopefully someone figures out all these issues (I'm a noob so not even sure where to start).
Yeah I went back to stock cause of it

I had the same problem untill I found a thread with different rom install instructions and his instructions I use to install ALL ROMS...No Issues..
Install this way it's long but worth it..
These are the steps I used to get it working. Remove the microSD card from your phone as it will not be needed and might cause bootloops.
1) Extract stock rom to ADB folder and follow these steps from the command prompt to go 100% back to stock
fastboot set_active a
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set

fastboot flash oem_b oem_other.img
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase DDR
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Boot system to welcome screen to verify clean flash.
2) Power down system and boot to bootloader (Vol down + Power). Follow these steps to get the system ready for copy-partitions. (Note: some steps are redundant and/or will give errors, disregard these errors)
fastboot set_active a
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash modem_a NON-HLOS.bin

fastboot reboot-bootloader
3) Download TWRP image and put it in your ADB folder, rename to twrp.img
4) Boot into recovery by using the following command:
fastboot boot twrp.img
5) Once in TWRP, we'll wipe slot B as we'll be installing the ROM there. To do that, from the TWRP menu:
IMPORTANT
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot B'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: B'
Hit the back arrow
Select 'Wipe'
Select 'Advanced Wipe'
Select 'Dalvik / ART Cache' 'Data' & 'System'
Swipe to wipe
Once wiped, return to the TWRP main menu
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot A'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: A'
Hit the back arrow
6) Now we're ready to flash the copy-partitions.zip.
Copy that file to your adb folder and rename it 'copy-partitions.zip'
From the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload copy-partitions.zip
Once it's done flashing return to the TWRP main menu, select 'Reboot' and select 'Bootloader'
7) Now we're ready to flash the rom and twrp recovery. Copy the desired rom and TWRP zip file to your ADB folder. Rename TWRP to 'twrp.zip' From the bootloader, boot to TWRP using:
fastboot boot twrp.img
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload nameofrom.zip (replace nameofrom.zip with the name of the rom you're flashing)
Once it's done flashing we need to flash twrp.zip using the same method
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload twrp.zip
IMPORTANT
8) Don't reboot the system quite yet. The rom and recovery should now be flashed, but we need to wipe userdata in order for the rom to boot. Return to TWRP main menu:
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot B'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: B'
Select 'Bootloader'
You should now be back from the bootloader. From the command prompt type:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
Your system will boot to your Rom.
Optional) To install gapps/magisk:
Turn the phone off & reboot to bootloader
Select recovery mode.
Phone will boot to recovery. Copy gapps and magisk to adb folder
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload gapps.zip (replace gapps.zip with name of gapps)
Return to the ADB sideload menu. Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload magisk.zip (replace magisk.zip with name of magisk)
Reboot the system
Done!

5) Once in TWRP, we'll wipe slot B as we'll be installing the ROM there. To do that, from the TWRP menu:
IMPORTANT
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot B'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: B'
Hit the back arrow
Select 'Wipe'
Select 'Advanced Wipe'
Select 'Dalvik / ART Cache' 'Data' & 'System'
Swipe to wipe
Once wiped, return to the TWRP main menu
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot A'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: A'
Hit the back arrow
6) Now we're ready to flash the copy-partitions.zip.
Copy that file to your adb folder and rename it 'copy-partitions.zip'
From the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload copy-partitions.zip
Once it's done flashing return to the TWRP main menu, select 'Reboot' and select 'Bootloader'
7) Now we're ready to flash the rom and twrp recovery. Copy the desired rom and TWRP zip file to your ADB folder. Rename TWRP to 'twrp.zip' From the bootloader, boot to TWRP using:
fastboot boot twrp.img
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload nameofrom.zip (replace nameofrom.zip with the name of the rom you're flashing)
Once it's done flashing we need to flash twrp.zip using the same method
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload twrp.zip
IMPORTANT
8) Don't reboot the system quite yet. The rom and recovery should now be flashed, but we need to wipe userdata in order for the rom to boot. Return to TWRP main menu:
Select 'Reboot'
Select 'Slot B'
Hit 'Back'
Verify it says 'Current Slot: B'
Select 'Bootloader'
You should now be back from the bootloader. From the command prompt type:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
Your system will boot to your Rom.
Optional) To install gapps/magisk:
Turn the phone off & reboot to bootloader
Select recovery mode.
Phone will boot to recovery. Copy gapps and magisk to adb folder
In the TWRP main menu:
Select 'Advanced'
Select 'ADB Sideload'
Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload gapps.zip (replace gapps.zip with name of gapps)
Return to the ADB sideload menu. Swipe to start sideload
From the command prompt type:
adb sideload magisk.zip (replace magisk.zip with name of magisk)
Reboot the system
Done!

@Grim truth Great job on this and also much thanks for the Bootleggers build on telegram! I've been using it for a few days now and its really solid and a great build. :good:
Nice ROM. Everything seems to be working. No problem flashing from 9.
Using this for a few days on my Moto G7 Power XT1955-5 Metro PCS.
Thank you!
This is said to be Android 10, but when flashing gapps for Android 10 it says "Incompatible Android Rom detected". I downloaded gapp nano as recommended. I even tried with gapps for Android 9, but it says Incompatible Device detected. What specific version of gapps should I use?
Edit: Nevermind... I´ll leave this in case someone else has the same problem... I forgot to turn to slot B prior to flashing gapps and magisk.
As I come from a Moto G4 Plus, which was way easier to flash, I still need to get used to different Rom slots. I'm setting things up now... Room looks awesome so far...
I don't know if it's just me, but I can't seem to be able to follow the flashing process as it's posted here. I did flash the rom, but in order to do so, I have to flash the rom, set partition B as active, boot the rom, and then go back to recovery and flash gapps and magisk...
My only problem is that when setting up the phone, Google Play Services asks for permissions of the device and I can't get to allow Storage
or SMS permssions, so apps like Whatsapp which read SMSs for an activation code can't do so... Because of that, I can't activate such apps because it won't let me activate them (it won't send the code to my number)... My problem is that other apps like my banking app use the same activation method and I need it. Where could the problem be?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you mean the copypartition.zip file?
I have...
I now flashed Havoc OS, but not without any problems either...
I was trying this and failed, so then I tried Havoc to see if I had better luck... However I failed again following the instructions strictly... I was about to give up when I saw one user of Havoc had the same issues as me and detailed how he managed to finally flash it... So maybe I'll try that way tomorrow with MSM Xtended... The rom really looks great and was wanting to make it my daily driver so, though I'll give Havoc a try, and as I now know how to at least make Havoc work, I'll give one last shot to this rom tomorrow... If I succed, then I'll post the steps that helped me get it working, so if others have the same issue as me can get it working too.
OK. So after trying time and time again, I just give up. There's no way I can get the rom going... I don't even know how I got it going yesterday (with some flaws though), but I can't seem to be able to do so again. I tried changing recovery for OrangeFox but same result. I can flash the rom and boot it without gapps or magisk, but after like 10 seconds it shuts off by itself and then bootloops into recovery. And I can't get past this.
Any suggestions?
I considered myself a veteran in flashing roms, but this "Partitions A&B" got me scratching my head.
I've tried flashing the recovery before the rom (as some people say should be) but when flashing the rom the recovery is gone... Then tried flashing the recovery after the rom... Got no touch issue... Tried just booting the recovery from adb but just never got past the one boot which would auto shut off.
This is irritating, frustrating and sad
I really like flashing my phones... Never have and most probably never will like stock roms.
I was on RR but it's too buggy for me to keep using it.

Do not flash recovery. Just do: fastboot boot recovery.img then wipe everything and format data while on slot a then flash copy partition ab zip, flash msm rom zip, reboot system. (Gapps are included in latest msm build)
If it takes you back to recovery manually boot into bootloader and hook to your PC and do: fastboot erase userdata , then reboot system. That's what I just did now and it booted perfect. Soon as I saw the boot animation I manually booted to bootloader again and flashed magisk and rebooted. Hope that helps.. I hear you on being a vet rom flasher and the whole AB partitioning being different.

I did that too... Except for the part of booting into bootloader as soon as the animation goes on... I'll try that...
In my case, when I tried booting the rom it started, but as soon as it showed the main screen, it auto restarts into recovery and then there's nothing I can di to boot it up again...
I'll give it a try and get back to post if I succeeded... I really hate stock roms and this one looks like it's awesome...

You can always boot recovery and flash rom then format data and wipe data and reboot system. See if it boots that way. I believe I ended up formatting data on my install because I had errors when installing copy partition zip so I wiped everything at first and flashed everything.
Edit added: I have installed this rom 4 times and booted every time no issues. What I've done each time is start out on slot a format data wipe data, system, cache, internal, flash copy AB zip make sure no errors, flash rom reboot system. It boots back to twrp for me as well and that's when I manually boot into bootloader plug up to laptop and do fastboot erase userdata then reboot system and it's booted every time like that for me. The fastboot erase userdata isn't the same as wiping in recovery and that's why I do it because it works for me.
Thanks. I'll give it a try that way. I ha end done it yet cause I hate backing up my internal storage into my laptop... It takes forever
Been super busy as we all get in life but had to come through and "bump" this! MSM and Bootleggers Rom are solid man and two of my favorites. [emoji111]️

Changelog :
12-10-2020
- Fix DT2W
- Fix refresh rate issue
- Update overlay from V12.0.2.0
- Use CarrierSettings app instead of CarrierConfig
- Enable Updatable Apex
- Add modified thermal blobs
I tested the ROM and find some issues with the ff:
Color Calibration is pale sometimes after a reboot.
The refresh rate when set to 120hz = 60 hz, 90hz = 50hz, 60hz = 30 hz when tested on UFO Test.
That's all I found and I flashed back to EU ROM for daily driver
When coming from EU/EEA MIUI firmware, Wi-Fi didn't work, and it reboots every few minutes (both during setup and after setup).
Flashing to Global MIUI/firmware using MiFlash first, then flashing Havoc fixed it.
OP's post now states "ROM Firmware Required: V12.0.2.0.QJGMIXM", so pay attention to that
Also, when I flashed Magisk v21.0 straight after Havoc (no reboot) it caused a boot loop. I had to flash Global again, then Havoc. I'll try installing Magisk once the setup is complete. Edit: That worked.
I'm loving it so far

Yeah, know issues. In next update will fix those stuff.
Thank you for the ROM!
Flashed from Xiaomi.eu and no issues at all.
Booted to TWRP, default wipe, flashed Havoc-OS, flashed Magisk 21, format data and reboot.
Working perfectly so far!

Great info justin , I just flashed Global FW (my device is EEA -seller told was global-)
I've tried both TWRP (Mauro's and Mahajant99) , tried NitrogenOS, but when flashing gapps some "file corrupted" in red, tried to download Gapps again (Pico) thinking that something interrupted the download and every time that message appears.... Using SD and USB OTG..
Also TWRP was rewrited by stock rom , need vbmeta file ?... i did a reboot to recovery from bootloader screen
Any recomendations?
My steps:
Stock ROM- Unlock BL- Flash TWRP- Reboot to TWRP- Flash Rom- Flash Gapps- Format Data- Reboot to system
Never wipe system, or vendor... format data before reboot to system it's a must ... right?

Never wipe system, or vendor... format data before reboot to system it's a must ... right?
Click to collapse
Here's what I did...
Flashed to Global with MiFlash.
Fastboot flashed twrp-3.4.0-15-surya-mauronofrio.img, then fastboot booted in to TWRP, as the instructions say.
Flashed havoc.
Formatted data (not wipe!)
Rebooted.
Complete the setup screens.
Download latest Magisk Manager on the phone. Ran it and set it to the beta channel, then used it to download Magisk v21.
Rebooted to recovery, and flashed Magisk in TWRP.
This ROM already includes GApps, so don't install them.
I still have TWRP installed after doing the above. No need for vbmeta.
I also flashed havoc from a Fat32 SD card, but it shouldn't make any difference.

I always do the first reboot to TWRP after flasing any ROM....even when instructions for flashing not include this step....just to be sure... and never got the TWRP overwrite issue. So, maybe you wanna try this way too......Format data - Reboot to TWRP - Reboot to system
The TWRP by mahajant99 doesn't have the option to wipe system or vendor by default, so....we are safe lol And format data before booting to system is a must for all custom ROMs when you flashed it over the stock or a different custom ROM.
The Havoc ROM is great....so many customization options. I used it on my old RN8P and I loved it. I'm on my stock ROM right now but I'll try Havoc's ROM for sure after the inherent beta issues was fixed My Poco X3 it's my daily driver, so I have to keep it alive and fully functional.

How can a person give what he does not have?
This firmware is deployed around the stock kernel and vendor(from MIUI global). No public tree for poco x3 now.

ok, makes sense. can't find it on https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource as well.
would you mind sharing devicetree and chipset or simply the roomservice.xml used, actually what is needed to replicate your result?
appreciate your work!
Can ANX Camera be flashed?
Hello, @mahajant99! Any news about an update for your great ROM who will solve the issues about yellowish display color and display refresh rate? I'm kinda eager to try your ROM, so forgive me for my lack of patience .

i can't install nikgapps through dot OS boot loader
Flashing GApps does not work; gave me a bootloop when installed through TWRP.
What's your situation
Installed DotOS through TWRP with root, was able to boot into the software. I then rebooted back into TWRP recovery and flashed GApps - which promptly gave me a bootloop.
I'm pretty sure I was supposed to format data after flashing GApps - were you able to get it successfully?

Honestly I didn't try.
Had experience with redmi phone.
I think you should perform basic wipe without rebooting, then install Gapps.
Its important to choose right. Gapps wrt to arm version.
Try with minimal version of gapps .
@developers
Plz encoperate gapps with rom as a single file.
Heard that new source code is released by LG so it will further development of custom rom.
Do you have the kernel tree for the normal G8 THINQ, I can't seems to find it anywhere on GitHub

Here it goes... Flash the ROM followed by data format followed by rebooting to system after switching the slot. Then reboot to recovery followed by flashing the right gapps followed by data format. Good to go for booting to the system.
In case of dirty flash, just flash the latest ROM and good to go. If faced with any bootloop, then do follow the procedure as a clean flash.
Flashing items in DotOS recovery does not work.
Location services also don't seem to work
I flashed this on g8x at&t(850um), unfortunately it crashed, got kernel panic error. Besides, it lost TWRP, so it's a soft brick right now. Maybe the reason is AT&T has some special settings.
With dotOS 5.1.3, it could boot up (with bug wifi off.
----solved----1. USE PAYLOAD_DUMPER to get IMGs from payload.bin in zip file. ----
python3 C:\Users\user\Downloads\payload_dumper-master\payload_dumper.py payload.bin
-----2. fastboot the 6 imgs.-----
fastboot flash boot boot.img && fastboot flash system system.img && fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img && fastboot flash product product.img && fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img && fastboot flash vendor vendor.img && fastboot reboot
------
Don't know how this happened, the AT&T Lg phones must be damned
I got this kernel panic several times, used to solve by flash original boot.img, but don't work this time.
Strange?

Indeed; it seems like the carrier versions of the LG G8X have some serious issues with custom ROMs - it works perfectly on my unlocked LG G8X.
Has anyone tried it in the sprint variant?

I can't flash another kernel in lineage recovery as it fails signature verification.
Will this be the same problem when updating the rom or will it have lineage signature so it'll pass?

Great ROM. Using vanilla + core. One issue is that the charging time seems to be high. From 20% to 100%, it takes more than 2 hours. Any fix?
