I'm pretty new to Andriod forums so will try to give as much technical details as possible.
I've got 2 phones; Sony Xperia SL and Micromax A111 - Canvas Doodle. Both have been rooted.
Both are running Andriod 4.1.2
I've installed a PlayStore App Automatic Call Recorder (the one from GlobalEffect; sorry cant post external links as I'm new user) on both the handsets and selected the audio source for recording as 'Voice Calls'.
The app is working perfectly with Xperia model; however with MM A111; it records an unplayable file. The product suggests that a different source may need to be selected for some handsets; hence I've tried to record with different options; but it only works with 'Mic' option for MM A111.
However with 'Mic' as audio source; i'm only able to record voice that gets generated at my end and voice in the earphone doesnt get recorded.
Questions I've are:
1. Is there a difference in which audio streams are handled in MM A111 and Xperia SL?
2. Is there any better known app for recording all calls which can record voice from both ends on MM A111? I've given a try to multiple call recording apps; but result is same with the MM A111.
Any response or suggestion please??
I'm still searching a valid way to record the calls, currently I have the H7 PLK-L01 B380.
First of all, i've tried to enable the stock call recorder of H7 (in EU is disabled due to the privacy policy), i've followed various thread on XDA on how to enable this feature, i've done all steps, but when i try to start a recording, this immediatly stop and giving me an "Unknown Error" message.
Then i've tested the following apps:

But all of these at maximum record only by internal device MIC (all other recording methods not working), then my voice is clear and loud, but the voice of others have a very very low volume, because that is recorded by MIC that come from ear's speaker.
So, someone know a valid way to record the calls in Both direction (Caller and Called)?

Mmmh but what are the pro and cons of removing EU version and installing CH version?
Im from Slovakia and have a redmi note 4 global the newest stable ROM. whenever Im recording a video or make an audio record there is always a weird cracking/popping noise even though Im recording in very quiet environment. The noise is there whether I hold the device in my hand during recording or it is laid on the table. Here is the link for a video sample.

Could somebody tell me where is the problem and how to solve it?
The problem is that the latest stable MIUI for mido (8.5.4.0) is the first one based on Android 7 and it's full of bugs.
You can factory reset the phone and check if some problems are gone. Or you can flash the latest global developer MIUI for mido that has ironically less problems than the stable (if you flash I recommends to use the fastboot images, as described here http://en.miui.com/a-234.html )

That's an old bug effecting almost all xiaomi devices. We reported it to the miui admins and they acknowledged it. I will remind them once again. Hope, they fix it soon.
I was discussing my question on muiu forum and a one bughunter from MIUI bug hunting team heybro2 told me that they are not aware of any of such bug
I dont know what should I do. I dont think that it is hardware problem. I did factory reset but problem still persist

Call recording is important to me. In the past I've always rooted my phones and used @skvalex's app which is amazing.
For the first time, I'm considering not rooting because I want Google Pay and system updates to work smoothly. I know there are workarounds but they seem like a lot of trouble.
Has anyone found a good solution to record calls on the pixel without root?
I have the US version, unlocked.

Hi ameer, unfortunately that app doesn't record the internal uplink+downlink. Rather it records from the devices's mic. Several apps do this such as Call Recorder by @skvalex (the best). But they can't record bluetooth conversations.

It doesn't help without root. If you select uplink / downlink in the settings without root, the calls will not be recorded.

Up until this phone, I used JOnePlus Tools app to enable stock call recording in my previous phones, the 7 pro, 6t and 5t, unrooted. I have installed it and done so with my n10 5g but i dont see it working like it had in the past. I dont know if maybe its the dialer, or if the nord maybe didnt come with the ability to record calls like the phones before it. Either way, without root it seems your options might be limited.

This is because the Nord series comes with the Google dialer instead of the OnePlus dialer.
In Oxygen OS 11 it is reportedly possible to installthe oneplus dialer and enable recording. The Nord has an OOS update but the Nord n10 5G does not.
I have bought Nord n10 5G today for my wife, but I realized now that call recording is not allowed on this. Do you have any methods to make it possible?
I have tried the OCR mentioned above and it works well on Nord n10 5G even though file name doesn't have contact name. But voice is well recorded clearly.
Looks to me like that OCR is the same as the other noon root solutions that record from the speakers rather than the phone line.
This means it will not work for calls via Bluetooth.
It's not much different than just using the built in screen recorder and extracting the audio.
I've tried several apps including the screen recording app that was pre-installed. But all of the apps have option to either record system sound or mic, but not both. I've seen Samsung S9+ and Note 10+ having the option in their pre-installed screen recording app but can't seem to find it in Poco F1.
