Introduction
LineageOS 17.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. The port for the Exynos7580 based devices was created by @Stricted and I along with many contributions from other people in the Android community.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
What works
Calls, SMS, Mobile DataCameraNFCWiFiBluetoothTorchSensorsGPSHWCWhat doesn't work
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.You tell me!
Known Issues
If you are running the latest update and are not able to enroll a fingerprint you may need to clear the fingerprint data using this zip (flashable in TWRP): https://mega.nz/#!6YZV2QTY!hOYYwrbkTPfThUIJUffOEQWMosdCxeqy_7JdGpYp3AA
There are still quite a few features that are not yet completed for LineageOS 17.1, these are not bugs this is a beta release.
Any hardware related issues will be ignored if you do not provide:
a) Logcat
b) proc/last_kmsg
c) data/tombstones
d) dmesg
Also do not under any circumstances post bug reports if you are using substratum themes or unsupported magisk modules or you have performed any system modifications
Installation
Install the latest TWRP (Available Here)Make a full backup (just in case something goes wrong)Do a full wipe (Cache, Data, System)If this is your first time on a LineageOS ROM format dataDownload the latest LOS build and transfer it to your phoneInstall LOSIf you are installing GApps do it at the same time (preferably in the same install queue)And finally boot, the first boot can take several minutes as it optimizes all the appsDo NOT install the TWRP app when prompted, this will cause a bootloopDownloads
Latest Official releases HEREOpenGapps HERE(ARM, 10, nano)TWRP is availableHEREMagisk is available HEREThanks
@Stricted@l-0-w@danwood76@sekil@alexax66@macs18max (BT call audio fix)@BorduniAll the testers on the Discord group (https://discord.gg/8fp9cr7)And all others who have contributed to the Exynos projects past and present.

Yes. You can flash this on any Exynos variant of the A7 2016.
You can flash gapps from https://opengapps.org/ I would highly recommend you flash the pico Android 10.0 ARM variant as it is the most light and jank free GApps package.
After you boot-up, you can download and install Google apps such as the dialer app. Make sure you set the apps like the Dialer and the Messages as the default apps in Settings -> Apps and Notifications -> Default Apps
Let me know how you feel the ROM is.

Thanks
Thanks for the good work bro. It's smooth.

Fingerprint still not working
Hi
My fingerprint sensor is not working with this OS. Why ? Will you be fixing that in a future update
And thanks for this project man. Galaxy a7 2016 seems to be a very uncommon phone because almost no custom ROMs support it.

https://www.xda-developers.com/what-is-adb/ this should help. What we need here is a logcat. Once you've followed the instructions in the above guide,
type in the following when u open the fingerprint registration settings page:
adb logcat > log.log
and send that log to me

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Just wanted to make a separate post about my experiences with this. @srfarias, you really knocked it out of the park with this here. It's very fast, fluid (if I disable animations in Developer Settings), and encryption actually works!!! Thanks for the stable Oreo ROM you made here

Hey @srfarias, I'm not trying to beg for specific ETAs or anything but do you plan to do an update for this ROM, like for bringing it up to January or February security patches? If you aren't I'll jump over to another Oreo one out there, but if possible I want to avoid having to wipe and start over, but more so than that stay with your stuff here since it's proven to be extremely stable

One more thing, would you mind posting up a link to the sources/trees you used to make it?
EDIT: Just flashed it and everything's really smooth, but unfortunately it breaks mobile data on Verizon
Three short questions about this rom:
Stable, but how stable? Daily driver stable? For example: I'm using my harpia as a key for a car share program, bluetooth needs to work, else I can't even get anywhere.
Battery drain: there were a couple of custom ROMs that had a battery drain on 15.x and 16, is that fixed? What is the battery drain overnight?
Now that Official 16 has been released (hudson), that means the LineageOS team will deprecate 14.1. Will this build make it to Official Lineage 15.1? Thus Official support again?
Also: "VoLTE working", yay, truely yay if it works. Haven't had that working yet on any of my phones.

1.- The rom is completely stable everything works.
2.- No battery drainage
3.- I don't give official support, ask the developer @squid2 he takes care of that matter.

Changelog 02-23-2019
====================
- Security Patch February 2019
Download
Running this ROM since last Sunday.
Battery life is greatly improved compared to Lineage 14.1/7.1.1 (but could be biased, because I haven't done a full wipe since October 2017). And with the animations in developer options completely disabled it runs smooth as silk. Haven't found any issues, will report back when I do. Great job!
I couldn't find the circle battery indicator I had running before, has that one been purged from this rom? I find the circle indicator more accurate than a vertical battery bar, without having to have the percent-level showing.
I'm having trouble installing Magisk, recovery (twrp) is installed normally, but when I start the system, magisk manager (apk) is not installed and applications that use root access do not show the notification to allow.
Apart from this problem, the rom is more stable than the nougat.

well about camera it's same like pie . it's working fine tho for me no issues till now
thank you very much for the rom CodeZero it is good to know that someone like you continues to build more and more this device, we expect new updates and security patches I love you crack
Today I will try it, I just hope that camera work fine.
Thanks in advance for support this old device.
It works everything for me, except audio: I got no audio(multimedia nor notifcation). Any ideas?
I had stock android before clean install Lineage OS 17, I haven't modified anything else (no third party apps nor gapps).
I have to say I am coming from this issue https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/help/stuck-bootloops-stock-roms-ive-tried-t3995969 , and trying out LineageOS for the first time out of curiosity. And apparently the phone is more stable with this LineageOS 17 than stock rom (I have almost no reboots). But audio worked with stock rom.
Edit: No audio even with earpods.
Hi
Once again this is a great ROM thanks to Code zero. Unfortunately the ROM does not boot up setupwizard when it is first run so I cannot restore settings and apps. Just wondering how I can force setup wizard to run again so I can get my stuff back?

The truth is that I am using this rom of lineage os 17 as a daily rom I would say that your fault comes from your terminal since my audio works in both headphones and notifications, the only error I see in this rom is in some applications that close alone from the rest 10/10
oh and another bug is in the chrome browser that doesn't play videos it gets damaged
note: this is fixed using another browser
Magisk
Doesn't appear to like Magisk V.10.1 - V.19.1 installs fine!
My mistake; should read doesn't like Magisk V.20.1 - V.19.1 installs OK
After reinstalling over Lineage 16.0 all is working just great including Magisk 20.1
Many thanks to you Code Zero

Chrome Version
For anyone who is having issues with Chrome, I went trough a couple versions of it, and I think this is the latest release that has no video playback issues: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/chrome/chrome-71-0-3578-98-release/
2 hours of test and I'm in love.
Excellent work, I don't have any bug.
We appreciate your fantastic work.
Can someone post some pictures for me to have a look?
I'm in doubt, can I install even though this 'SELinux is permissive' bug is safe?
Has anyone that had camera problems in Pie tried this ROM? Is camera fixed here?
I'm on LOS16 and camera doesn't work (green tint, crashes, etc)
Thanks for your work @CodeZero! Amazing as always!

Google/YouTube lineageos 17 - I'm sure you'll find tones of pictures and videos of it on devices (it will look the same on any device)
Also Google what SElinux is - basically you cannot encrypt your device & any security service/app that requires it to be enforcing will not work

LineageOS-17.1, ROM for the Nokia 6.1 (2018)
Contributors
TheImpulson, npjohnson
Source Code: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_nokia_sdm660
ROM OS Version: Android 10
ROM Kernel: Linux 4.x
ROM Firmware Required: Latest stock firmware
Based On: AOSP
Version Information
Status: Beta
Current Stable Version: 17.1
Stable Release Date: 2020-10-10
Created 2020-01-28
Last Updated 2020-10-31
Current Bugs include:
Volume is a bit loud in some cases (Turn off AudioFX). This happens because we are using prebuilt stock audio hal and hidls.
SIM card update requires a system reboot
Don't report bugs related:
to CTS failures (LineageOS does not tamper with CTS results)
with Magisk (It sets a number of props on boot like changing build type to the user resulting in broken adb root etc)
with Custom Kernel, MODs (Report that to MOD maintainer)
with non-recommended TWRP, vendor or builds (Use what is told in instructions)

How can fix Bluetooth Audio?
Pushed new vendor and lineage builds. These new builds include fixes for:
- Bluetooth audio
- Addresses some SELinux denials
- Removed duplicate properties
- Synced changes with latest LineageOS source
I have built FM as well with this release which however is buggy. You need to turn it on and off manually every time you change the audio paths. I might kick this from next builds, so please don't report this as bug.

AEX Rom can you please update?
The ROM works good and mostly stable, althrough I encountered some bugs that I already reported to dev, but will be good to post them here too:
NFC doesn't work - my transport card says invalid card type
The charging screen during poweroff is broken and just display android one, you have to force reboot to fix phone
+Everything works as expected so stable for daily use Great job
+ A small request (Add call recording in next build)
Pushed new vendor and LineageOS builds. These builds contains fixes for:
- SELinux denials relating to NFC
- Offline Charging
It seems that after upgrading Android 10, all ROMs cannot use China Telecom's calling card perfectly. At present, this ROM cannot be configured with volte normally. It can only use 2G & 3G, or only 4G, and it is very unstable. Is it because the carrier profile is different? What should I do to make it work?
Thank you !

Hey!
I suggest downgrading to Pie again and then trying it. Q update might have upgraded modem which is now causing issues. You can use either Hikari's or Raghu's Tool.

I just transferred from the official pie. It is normal on the official pie, including your previous onmi and aex android pie. Maybe volte cannot be used, but it can ensure that LTE & CDMA works at the same time. Hikar said that the Chinese version and the international version have different underlying partitions, so the firmware cannot be used universally. I couldn't test it, but my pixel also had the same problem after upgrading to Android 10.
Thank you!

Can you get me logs? I am pretty sure it's system-related as the vendor is still from Pie.
Pushed new lineage build. Changelog:

Sorry, because of limited capabilities, I used adb bugreport. More effective information still needs you to filter, thank you for your help!
Nice to see an image for this device, will test this weekend.
Is there already a solution for installing TWRP permanently on the device?

Flashable zip to enable encryption is in this post
How to enable encryption
I posted this in Telegram Channel :"One important thing is the encryption thing and I know the majority voted for it to be included but I'm truly sorry to go against the majority as encryption will make my development work much slower and there will be always a risk to lose data from my side which I can't afford. So no force encryption in arrow-12.1 and it won't work unless it was forced at boot(changed in fstab). However I'm planning to provide a flashable file that will enable encryption but it need further testing to make sure everything is working correctly.I hope everyone understand my decision and sorry again if you don't agree with it."Flashing InstructionSteps : Coming from Arrow 12.0 or different ROMs1-Wipe vendor , system , data , cache2- Flash Rom , gapps (for Vanilla version) and magisk (if needed) 3- RebootFrom unofficial Arrow 12.1Drifty flash.

It is already mentioned in the OP that , "samsung proprietary apps wont work" in any of the AOSP ROMs. That includes, Samsung Camera also which can not be ported to AOSP ROMs.

Been using this rom for about 4 days now and I must say it's just perfect. So far I haven't encounter any bugs, the performance is great and the ui is stunning. Highly recommend it. Device - Note 9

My apologies if this is the wrong forum thread. I saw the article below.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 can now run Android 12, unofficially
The Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and Galaxy Note 9 have received unofficial ports of Android 12 through the ArrowOS custom ROM. Read on!
www.xda-developers.com
I have a "Verizon" Note 9. Is it possible for me to upgrade to Android 12 or is my phone locked? My understanding is that Verizon locks their Samsung phones.
I tried to install it, but it enters the download location and stays, can you help?
I was installing this rom and was coming from noble rom. I did not do a proper wipe after which now the phone is dead. I am not seeing any thing. When I press power button i dont see any thing. Only force restart works (volume down and power button) but after that nothing happens. Any idea how to fix.

Hello,
Can you add to the Kernel the use of OTG and simultaneous Charging on the Redmi 7A? I don't know how to do it, but I know other people did it with other phones, such as all the sunxi chip using devices (https://linux-sunxi.org/USB_OTG_Charging_Hub) as well as https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...charging-adaptor-on-my-moto-g-xt1032.3431856/ or the Timur's Kernel the https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-nexus-7-2013-timurs-v4-0-android-6-0-1-mob30x-flo-deb.3523149/.
If you don't plan to add it to the official rom, could you at least tell me how to modify the Kernel to permit simultaneous OTG and charging and what to modify?
Thanks for your time,
Best regards,
Golobolo

First mount product partition.
After that open twrp file manager and go to /product/media. There you should find bootanmation.zip. Delete it and reboot to system.
Would like to say thank you the ROM works flawlessly just got a problem with no internet on mobile data but fixed it by putting my SIM on another android 13 phone (stock pixel 6) and copying the APN (the default ones or those furnished by my provider didn't work)
