Webviews seem to ignore system font settings, and I'm not happy with their font. - LG G8X ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone
My current phone, which is an LG K10 running Android 7, uses Roboto for English content and Noto for others. For Korean text, that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
On the G8X with Android 9, latest Sprint firmware G850U10h, it's using some font I don't recognize, and I really don't like it:
Changing the system font seems to only affect the native UI elements and leaves the content of the webview alone:
I've been reading around and it seems the only way to really change fonts is to root, which isn't available for this phone yet.
I've been trying to set up this phone to my standards and tastes over the past few days and I've been encountering roadblock after roadblock after roadblock, and I'm beginning to resent it and regret buying it.
Any suggestions or am I just stuck? I can't believe such a simple change is met with such limitations.
Another screenshot demonstrating it's not just one bad app:
Thanks for reading.

Can anyone compile libskia.so or libharfbuzz.so for Atrix?

SO here's the problem! CM7/Gingerbread cannot render Bangla/Tamil/Hindi and a handful of other languages. However, when Samsung released their smartphones they specifically compiled those two for their devices and that could render Bangla/Hindi/Tamil.
Let me explain clearly. The Tamil character "தி" is a conjunct of two characters and instead of getting displayed as "தி", it will be displayed as "த ி" without space in between. So we can't read anything on facebook/twitter. Only way is to use Opera Mini which everyone doesn't like.

The solution is simple in my mind. Just to take those libskia.so or libharfbuzz.so from any Samsung Specific firmware (Suppose Y Pro Duos: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-B5512&pcode=INU#firmware) and compile them for our Atrix.
It can be done in my thought. As Krystian/Epinter/mmountouri already have done so much advanced work! However, if this problem is solved, it'll be a huge milestone for Asia specific countries because 50% of the majority still use Gingerbread. And if I get the support, I will need JB a bit less.

[Q] Today Screen for Android?

Hi,
it looks like the homescreen's solely purpose is to draw beautiful icons since smartphones entered the massmarket.
Does anyone remember the Today Screen from the old Windows Mobile devices?
Something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Every single piece of information in one place, without the need to click/enter/open anything. You were even able to read the last message/email directly from this screen.
I tried hard to achieve a screen like this using widgets, but these got title bars and spaces everywhere. In 2011 there was a project called SlideScreen which seems to have been pretty close to what i am thinking about, but it got abandoned.
Help me guys, how do i get something like this on android?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
cool!

I doubt it. The font isn't consistent throughout all of the menus (at least on all of the ROMs I've tried) let alone across items outside the system.

Can I Change The Emojis On Snapchat? (v9.14.x)

Hi Everyone!
With this new update from Snapchat where we can add more emojis as stickers,
I wondered if it's possible to change them with the iOS ones.
If any of you know, please let me know how can I do it...

Thanks in advance, Joe.
I wonder too.
I tried to find some file, but I'm a noob and couldn't.
If someone has a little time, I would appreciate that.
The thing with these emojis is that they don't inherit the emojis used on the phone (which would help a lot in this case). This essentially means that the emojis are in the app itself, which would require a lot of work to decompile, edit and then compile hoping for the best.
Alternatively, creating an xposed module could also work.
Just my info, good luck
No luck? Hate those emojis

No emojis showing up at all.

Hello, so I had an issue with my phone (OnePlus 6) where it'd be stuck on fastboot loop so I decided to flash the entire rom through fastboot with this :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6-t3796665
It all went perfectly fine, but when I started my phone and after using it for a while I realized it had no emojis. Okay, let me rephrase, there are emojis from Gboard etc but very few of them, if I type in "emoji" in google it's supposed to show many websites with the use of emojis except for me all I see is a whole festival of boxes with a cross on them.
I'm going to be showing you on attached pictures what it looks like from my oneplus 6 and how it looks like from my other huawei phone, first a pic from the huawei device then from my oneplus device.

I have no idea how to fix it and I've seen no one else with the same exact issue as me, if you have an idea on how it could be fixed then please help me .

Check if /system/fonts/NotoColorEmoji.ttf exists and is readable
