LG Optimus F3 Bricked? (Sort of, seeking help)

Ok the phone is:

LG Optimus F3
Android 4.1.2
T-Mobile pushed a OS system update on 12/3/13. After 3 weeks of the constant reminder, my girlfriend talked me into attempting to get the update to install last night.
So I moved all of her pictures to an external SD card, and attempted the update. With the phone fully charged & plugged into an outlet it failed several times. After checking available system memory I found that the unit had less than 100 mb. So I did a factory reset, to remove the many, many apps that were installed after purchase.
On initial boot the phone does not enter into a Setup Wizard like most handsets, instead it goes straight to the home screen (no lockscreen) and a warning is displayed. "Unfortunately, Home has stopped." and the only option is "OK". When attempting to navigate to the >System>Settings nothing happens (Black screen) & eventually you will get the "Unfortunately, Home has stopped." to display or occasionally "Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped." or "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.".
You are not able to answer a call, text, etc....Attempting to swipe down and choosing Quick Settings Browser, the browser opens and then closes with "Unfortunately, Home has stopped.". The app drawer will not open.
I've completed many, many (north of 20) hard factory resets by:
Powering off
Pressing Power+Volume Down+Home
Following the prompts of pressing "Power" twice to initiate & confirm the Factory Rest
The Green Android Bug is displayed and then back to the above problem of "Unfortunately, Home has stopped."
Forcing the unit into Safe Mode, and you get the same results as above.
My two complaints with this model is that it has very limited system memory & zero ROM support.
Being the phone is not rooted, neither is ADB set on the unit. So pushing another launcher to the phone is not possible that I'm aware of, also no means to enter fastboot.
When the unit was taking by the T-Mobile store stated the phone has been wet due to a pink indicator on the battery. We purchased the unit new and it has never by wet (We do live a couple of blocks from the ocean). So the T-Mobile store refused to service the unit. Also the unit was completely functional until attempting this system update.
Any suggestions? (tossing it in the garbage would be wonderful if I could afford a replacement, which I am not at this time).
Problem has been solved
Apparently LG has a software tool that reset's the phone to factory. WIN

With the One V, you had to flash the boot.img in fastboot. Sometimes I would forget and this would be three result.

You had it lucky. My phone, same one, is stuck at the LG screen. No animation, just a picture. It has been sitting like that for hours. I connected it to my computer, and it doesn't show up. I think it's screwed.

Please help! No mobile data after root!

I rooted my Sprint Galaxy S7 edge running nougat earlier today with the method outlined at this website. dorylabs .com/root-qualcomm-galaxy-s7-edge-nougat
Everything seemed great and the root apps were functioning fine. I did use an uninstaller tool to remove some bloatware. it is possible that I accidentally removed a crucial file in this process I don't believe I did but anything is possible. I then left the house and had to make a call and when I attempted to make the call I got an automated voice error saying I needed to activate my phone before I could make a call. I had never gotten this error before when rooting but I decided to try and activate it through the settings menu to see if it could simply be fixed that way. After a 10 second loading screen I got an error saying that the activation had failed and that I would need to call customer service and have them activate it and then my phone immediately restarted and when it booted back up I suddenly now had signal to make calls and send texts. But no mobile data. I tried going through the settings and using the activation function again and this time I made it one step further and it would show my current usage and plan but then when I scrolled to the bottom and clicked activate it always just gives me a message saying that my session has ended. I have looked around for answers but i found nothing relevant or that made sense to me. Please help me as I am out of town and only have access to Wi-Fi and a computer where I am staying and have limited time to try and fix this.
UPDATE: I did a factory reset and nothing changed. Also I noticed all notification on the drop down from Samsung DM Service that says checking device status and tapping it does nothing and I can't swipe it to get rid of it. There is also a 2nd notification from Securitylogagent saying security notice unauthorized actions have been detected restart your device to undo any unauthorized changes which restarting does nothing.
Same issue. Though I was able to call right away. But I still cannot connect to internet via mobile data

Eula wont work on setup

so a while back I decided to factory reset the phone because multiple services and apps would randomly stop and pop up on screen making the device hard to use. When the setup is almost finished and its about to bring up the Eula, the Eula stops and sends the pop up message saying it has stopped. Even though i already got a new replacement, It would be nice to have this phone just as a backup just in case . so is there anything i could do or is the phone done?

Google Assistant Won't Do Anything While Device is locked... (Galaxy Note 8)

Alright, so at first, google was working fine. while the phone was locked, screen off and it was in my pocket, I could say "Hey google, start a timer for 5 minutes" and it would confirm and start the timer.
Then I updated... and for a while it was saying "Sorry, I can't do that while the device is locked, go ahead and unlock the device". I followed about a dozen suggestions online and one of the suggestions (I'm still not sure which one) worked.
BUT: There's now this problem of: if the screen is off and I say "hey google, start a timer for 5 minutes": The screen will turn on and show the pattern unlock screen (as if it wants me to put in the pattern). If I leave it alone, the screen eventually turns off and google finally responds with "ok, starting the timer"... but then it never actually starts the timer until I pull the device out and unlock it.
Another strange thing is that it won't use the google assistant voice I selected (I selected a natural-sounding male voice but it still uses this robotic-sounding female voice).
I've been through countless forum posts, suggested fixes, have tried everything from restarting to the phone to clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling google assistant, changing security settings and even went as far as to factory reset the entire phone... nothing has worked so far. The problem I think is that all of those are solutions to problems that are SIMILAR to, but not exactly like, this. I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this specific problem and if you have: were you able to fix it? How?
It's just really annoying :/ This used to work so well. I used
PHP:
it for EVERYTHING. Now it doesn't really work at all unless I have my phone out and unlocked
Darn, it IS actually still telling me "actually, I can't do that while the device is locked. To keep going, go ahead and unlock the device". SO yeah... still just doesn't do anything at all if the device is locked. Only way I can get it to work is to uninstall all updates... but then it it reinstall those updates whenever I tell google play to update all. If I want to avoid that I guess I just have to go install updates individually/manually?... :/ This stinks. Just want my google assistant back to how it was working before (aka actually working - while the device is locked).

LG G Vista 2 "Unfortunately System UI Has Stopped"

Hi all,
I've got an LG G Vista 2 that I've been trying to turn into an audiobook/podcast/mp3 player after decommissioning it from use as a cellphone about a year ago. However, whenever I boot the phone the screen remains black and a popup appears saying: "Unfortunately System UI has stopped". When tapping "ok" to close the popup the screen remains black and shortly later another popup appears, effectively preventing any interfacing with the device. Even keeping the power down menu open long enough to turn off the phone is a struggle.
It seems like the most common recommendation online is to factory reset the phone through recovery mode - I have tried that several times, each time the popup comes up even before going through the Android setup process. The same popup comes up even in safe mode. I'm at a loss of what to do: I have no way to interface with the phone, through the device still seems to work fine. I'm wondering if this issue is possibly caused by a hardware fault that is manifesting in a software issue, or if the OS install is just incredibly corrupted.
Is there any way to reinstall Android on the phone without being able to access its GUI? Being a lower-end phone from several years ago it is rather hard to find OEM ROMs online, though even if I had a ROM I wouldn't know exactly what to do. I would appreciate any recommendations on where to go from here.
Thanks.
Were you able to solve this issue?
No, unfortunately not. It doesn't seem to be a straightforward fix and I haven't gotten around to really working on it. I'm still open for sugustions if anyone has any tips.
