One entry per user

I honestly don't really know HMS so I still don't have a formed opinion about it.

no large Google **** things!!!! it is precious

I would like my device to work for me atleast a week before charging again, i dont want my device to collect any of my data without my concent, i would like a camera that can shoot raw to perfection, on the other hand a user friendly ui for the camera as well as if it shoots raw...a fullfledge software intigration for raw editing, i dont want to rely on 3rd part apps for things like ntfs support, sharing files music etc, a proper file explorer with the flexibility of supporting each and every file type, may it be an extraction frm a zip, a one stop solution for all my media. Many sorting sequences, face tracking for sorting photos inbuild, a solid sounding pair of speakers and obviously a headphone jack, but if not then a easily connective compact conncetor, which can be used for headphones as well as charing at same time, also should be included in the box, i would love water proofing and dust proofing and i have a curious idea of touchscreen, as i use a waterproof phone, i am very troubled with the capacitive touch screen when there is water on it, i would love to have some solution for it...like giving a fullscreen fingerprint reader under screen and using it as a touch locator for underwater use, i hate the idea of popup camera...but would love the idea of inscreen camera as well..and last but nit the least the network and performance...the performance should be topnotch...and aftersales service for atleast 4-5years..like updates, etc..

The amount of services here is amazing!! Good job on another note.......so many of them are made just to gleen personal information from the end user that it is downright SCARY!!!!

===> What I love?
I love your style and flare of anything your company designs and builds. Top quality with each of us in mind.

Sounds like you have a good range of kits, APIs etc, to take advantage of the hardware and support developers. Do you have a plan to detail how the device and supporting platform are securely isolated from the Chinese government, and whether that would be audited by a respected 3rd party?

I have never had Huawei phone so i cant give my opinion on HMS. The things i like about Huawei is that they are different from others and "no big brother" (read it google)
I would like to have Huawei phone to test and then to tell!

I am proud of HMS. Imagine you can see others records and compete with them with game service. And many other services. Even health, map etc. services. Imagine phone caring about your health. And there is a wallet service with easy of access, which is awesome.

Personal opinion
Hello,i use Mate 10 Pro since 2018 Mars and i really appreciate the updates that are comming in terms of HMS ecosystem. At the beginning in my mind i tought that HMS will have no life and the system will be bad , but with the time the improvements demonstrate that can make me to stay more on the HM Services. So at this moment they have a large range to ofer to users, from cloud to apps and even frendly interface. The most important thing for me is the support of witch can benefit every user around the Globe , it is really at very 1st place from all devices that i own.

For me it's all about Health Kit. Given these crazy times when we're all on lock down it's even more important than normal.

I never owned or their phones, i cant commemt

I like many of the new features in HMS including the Drive Kit,Health Kit,HUAWEI IAP, scanning and security kit and all the rest of the performance and optimization of apps without relying so much on the playstores

HMS Core FTW?
Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) Core is to be a replacement of Google’s developer libraries. Super interested in how it compares to Google's and Apple's. If all goes well, we can have a third major OS in the running.
Competition is good for the mobile market. With Google and Apple dominating, development has been somewhat stagnant and the bang-for-buck devices have been out of reach for some time. It's not just hardware, but software - Apple has been able to optimize iOS to use less than 4GB RAM!
The 5G race is here and looking forward to see how companies implement 5G speeds with everyday tasks.

It is always refreshing to see new additions in the market if mobile capabilities. These kits will bring a new set of tools to AI and all other APIs to further enhance the user experience. I expect to get to know better the Huawei mobile services cores and see what they have to offer its users.
Warm Regards,
Paul

Is this mobile can be a great value to health care professional?! I never tried
Anyway I like using my Samsung Galaxy note 8 with its pen feature...
I didn't like huawei phones! And I didn't recommended it for anyone!

I've read a lot about the latest Huawei phones, and now that I've had my own Huawei (Nexus 6P) for 4 (!) years, I'd love to jump in with all the specs and services provided

I love that it doesnt have all that google crap !

Account kit, health kit and wallet kit are the ones I like a lot as they provide security, ease of use and self care and healthier lifestyle.
I wish you keep on developing these revolutionary services.

Account kit all the way!!!!
For me, the best feautre is the account kit. I'm a developer but i'm also an user. And from personal experiences I know how those authorizations can make users reject your app. With this kind of approach we could offer a smoother experience for the user and protect his data at the same time. The ideia of just signing in(which is already well difunded among the users) can provide a faster access to the app. I'm always searching for alternatives that can make development and UX improve, this might be one of them. I'd like to highlight others features but i'm gonna stick with this one.

As a top 3 app marketplace globally, HUAWEI AppGallery is now available in over 170 countries/regions with 400 million monthly active users (MAUs), covering mainstream apps and services worldwide.
Vision of a Top 3 App Marketplace Globally
“‘Privacy, under your control’, has always been at the heart of our philosophy,” Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group commented, “We place privacy protection and cybersecurity as the top priorities of all our business operations and strictly implement them in all phases of our products. We also have the strictest privacy and cybersecurity solutions in HUAWEI AppGallery. ” Huawei has hundreds of millions of users worldwide, laying a solid foundation for the development of the ecosystem. Together with HMS Core, which opens a variety of Huawei software and hardware capabilities, Huawei is enroute to providing the best and innovative application experience for users.
For a brand that rose sharply to rank 10th place in Brand Finance's 2020 annual global brand value ranking, nothing seems impossible. In fact, Huawei has invested in more than 3,000 engineers on ecosystem engineering. The brand also provides one-stop operational support for developers worldwide, as well as funding such as the “Shining-Star” program to incentivize innovation.
HUAWEI AppGallery Is A Trusted Platform Where Users Can Download Apps
HUAWEI AppGallery comes with full-cycle security and protection, including developer real-name verification and four-step review process for secure app operation. All apps go through a stringent verification test to prevent developers’ apps from malicious activity. It has an age-rating system to create a safe environment for children, filtering out apps that are not suitable for their age range.
AppGallery deploys the highest level of verification to isolate and protect users’ sensitive data and privacy. Personally-sensitive information – such as biometric data – will never be processed outside the Huawei device, giving the user complete control over their personal data1. EMUI lets users have control over app user permission. More importantly, complying with the localized service distribution and deployment policy, personal information is encrypted and stored in the area to which the user belongs.
HUAWEI AppGallery is the destination for quality apps for Huawei device users.
Huawei is continuously working on increasing the selection of top apps that have become a staple of its users’ digital lifestyle, including both popular global applications and quality localized applications our users have come to love and depend on. HUAWEI AppGallery segments applications across 18 categories, including news, social media, entertainment, and more, all searchable with a simple and smooth browsing experience. If there’s an app user can’t find, all they have to do is submit the desired app name to a ‘Wishlist’. Once this app goes on-shelf, the user who submitted it via ‘Wishlist’ will be notified.
Huawei is also committed to creating the best user experience by providing quality apps. In its latest content partnership, Huawei has collaborated with News UK, one of the UK’s biggest media companies, to bring the most accurate and updated news to Huawei users. Huawei users will get to enjoy access to daily articles, radio shows, and exclusive content on their Huawei devices, bringing greater convenience to users’ smart lifestyles.
“I think this is a really good long-term partnership we can have with Huawei. I feel there’s a lot more innovation we can do and really drive forward amazing customer experiences on those devices,” said Christina Scott, Chief Technology Officer of News UK.
HUAWEI AppGallery offers apps optimized to work on Huawei devices, for an innovative and smart experience
Apps downloaded from HUAWEI AppGallery are optimized to work on Huawei devices, providing incredible on-device capability. The key enabler is HUAWEI HiAI, an open AI capability platform for smart devices, which pools software and hardware resources from different devices and facilitates collaborative, mutually-reinforcing interactions between them.
For example, the WPS Office app uses the HiAI intelligent recognition capability to achieve super-resolution optical character recognition to recognize text in images such as scanned documents and photos. The in-app documents are automatically detected and corrected, greatly improving productivity.
HUAWEI AppGallery introduces a tap-to-use and installation-free experience with ‘Quick Apps’
Quick Apps is an app ecosystem that houses a new type of installation-free apps. It provides a good user experience, powerful functions, and automatic updates for HTML5 pages, but consumes very little memory space. Despite giving users the same experience as native apps, Quick Apps are written with only 1/5 amount of codes as compared to that of Android apps, therefore taking up less memory space. Users can accommodate more than 2000 Quick Apps instead of just 20 native apps with just 1GB of space.
Users can even add their favorite Quick Apps to their desktops for convenient access. Quick Apps are used on over 350 million Huawei phones. To date, there are more than 1,700 Quick Apps released globally.
To keep up the pace with 5G, Quick App will be gradually rolled out to more countries and regions, opening China market’s mature Quick App standards and IDE development tools to global developers. All developers across the world are welcomed to publish Quick App to jointly deliver tap-to-use and installation-free experience to users.
Huawei will continue its efforts in building the HMS Ecosystem and HUAWEI AppGallery to bring to life all-scenario smart life experience to Huawei users. Do stay tuned for more updates. For more information on HUAWEI AppGallery, visit https://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobileservices/appgallery/

1 Channel analysis to identify the number and quality of new users acquired via different app stores, for improved ROI.
Enterprises tend to release their apps across different app stores for more impressions, and to reach more users. Even as competition between mobile apps has intensified, we've learned to correctly evaluate the number and quality of new users acquired via different app stores, properly allocate budgets for each app store, and track the loyalty of users acquired via each app store, to boost ROI.
Channel analysis in Analytics Kit uses different data indicators and analysis models to precisely track data on key nodes for app usage from start to finish, as well as evaluate the number and quality of new users acquired via different app stores, helping you adjust your operations strategies accordingly.
To use channel analysis, all you have to do is add the meta-data parameter to the application block in the AndroidManifest.xml file. The sample code is as follows:
Code:
<application
……
<meta-data
android:name="install_channel"
android:value="install_channel_value">
</meta-data>
……
</application>
Replace install_channel_value with the app installation source. For example, if the app is installed from HUAWEI AppGallery, replace this parameter value with AppGallery. After completing the configuration and releasing your app to each app store, you'll be able to view the data of each app store in terms of new users, active users, total users, and day-2 retentions of new users in the channel analysis report, as well as comprehensively evaluate the number and quality of new users acquired via different app stores.
Channel analysis can be used to analyze the data from channels such as HUAWEI AppGallery, as well as from Huawei devices. You can choose to configure other installation sources in the SDK and launch your app in a range of different app stores. Data from those app stores can also be obtained by Analytics Kit.
If through the report you find that the number of new users acquired via an app store is above average, but that the number of day-2 retentions of new users is far lower than on other app stores, you can then determine the cause for the low day-2 retention rate. To do this, compare the assets placed in this app store with those placed in other app stores, to exclude the possibility of misplaced materials and an incorrect placement time period. After doing this, you'll be able to prove that users acquired via this app store do not fall under the scope of target users, and that corresponding measures should be taken to reduce your investment in this app store.
In addition, the user behavioral characteristics in different app stores, for example, the preferred startup time, triggering frequency of a purchase event, and member level distribution of HUAWEI AppGallery users, can be analyzed in detail with the help of the user analysis, event analysis, and behavior analysis models.
2 Tracking app installation sources to target new usersAcquiring target users and determining the optimal channels for placement are high priorities for enterprises. Install attribution provided by Analytics Kit can distinguish between paid traffic and organic traffic, and track the marketing activities that cause new users to install your app. It enables you to view the number and proportion of users brought by each marketing channel, type of media, and task, and tailor marketing strategies to maximize value.
You'll need to design a promotional link based on the requirements outlined by HUAWEI AppGallery or HUAWEI Ads Kit, customize the UTM parameters (a set of parameters for tracking channel traffic), and configure the promotional link on Analytics Kit, before ultimately placing the link on the desired platforms. When a user clicks on the link to download the app, and opens it for the first time, the Analytics SDK will automatically call the API for HUAWEI AppGallery or Ads Kit to query the UTM parameters, and match the user with the suitable marketing channel, type of media, and task. An install attribution report is then generated.
* Principles of install attribution
* Example of the installation source configuration
In addition, you can create a promotional link for your app through App Linking, and customize UTM parameters to track the efficacy of the ad campaign. If a user who has installed the app clicks on the promotional link, the user will be redirected to the deep link specified by App Linking; if the user has not installed the app, the user will be redirected to the corresponding app store (or customized website) to install the app. After the app is installed, the user will be taken directly to the deep link upon opening the app.
The Analytics SDK automatically collects data related to the App Linking click event. If you create a promotional link through App Linking and set related tracking parameters, go to HUAWEI Analytics > Event analysis to view the multi-dimensional details related to the App Linking client event, including the marketing channel, marketing media, and marketing task name, for a comprehensive evaluation of how effective your ad or promotional activity has been.
3 Releasing user profile tags, for flexible and precise audience creationAnalytics Kit uses machine learning algorithms that are based on 30+ automatically collected events, 20+ automatically collected user attributes, and 10+ visualized data analysis reports, to release a wide range of user profile tags, such as app uninstalled, days since app uninstallation, average uses in last 7 days, first payment, with app account, consumption times in last 7 days, and consecutive active days.
You can flexibly select a tag to create an audience, and perform precise marketing with the help of other HMS services as well, including Push Kit, A/B Testing, Remote Configuration, and SMS marketing, or gain insight into behaviors and attributes of users within an audience based on other reports.
For example, if you want to improve the consumption frequency of paying users, you can select tags for paying users and consumption times tier in last 7 days, to create an audience consisting of paying users who have made relatively few purchases and who have not made any purchases over the previous seven days. Then, you can make use of functions like Push Kit and App Messaging to send out messages about coupons and the release of new products to the audience.
4 Supporting for quick appsQuick apps are a new form of installation-free apps that have been well received by users due to their unique attributes, leading to reduced costs, a native experience, and high user retention rate. Many enterprises have launched quick apps of their owns, and to meet the requirements for comprehensive user behavioral analysis, Analytics Kit 5.2.0 offers an SDK for quick apps, in addition to the support for the Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
Analytics Kit 5.2.0 offers the following features, to ensure partners enjoy optimized data analysis products:
l Channel analysis and install attribution reports based on user requirements, resolving the challenge of user source tracking for new user acquisition.
l Wide-range of user profile tags for flexible audience creation and refined operations.
l Comprehensive user behavioral analysis on Android, iOS, Web, and quick apps.
With its user-centric approach, Analytics Kit will continue to explore new methods for extracting more value from data, and empowering enterprises with new capabilities.

You'll need to design a promotional link based on the requirements outlined by HUAWEI AppGallery or HUAWEI Ads Kit, customize the UTM parameters (a set of parameters for tracking channel traffic), and configure the UTM parameters in AppGallery Connect, before ultimately placing the link on the desired platforms. When a user clicks on the link to download the app, and opens it for the first time, the Analytics SDK will automatically call the API of HUAWEI AppGallery or Ads Kit to query the UTM parameters, and obtain the marketing channel, type of media, and task used to acquire this user. An install attribution report is then generated.
* Principles of install attribution
 Channel analysis and install attribution reports based on user requirements, resolving the challenge of user source tracking for new user acquisition.
 Wide-range of user profile tags for flexible audience creation and refined operations.
 Comprehensive user behavioral analysis on Android, iOS, Web, and quick apps.
With its user-centric approach, Analytics Kit will continue to explore new methods for extracting more value from data, and empowering enterprises with new capabilities.

Social media has long been a ubiquitous presence in most mobile users’ digital lifestyle. There are more than 4.33 billion social media users in the world with 99% of them accessing the platforms via mobile. Needless to say, competition is at an all-time high especially for incumbents who have the technology to compete but are overshadowed by its older competitors.
Among these aspirational challengers is Likee, the short video creation platform that is making waves among mobile users globally and boasts cutting-edge video shooting and editing tools. Being a young company, they wanted a platform partner who could not only help them grow their userbase, but also offer the support they needed to enhance the overall user experience of the app.
Huawei was the ideal partner for Likee – the developer could not only onboard AppGallery, the top three app marketplaces globally, but also leverage the powerful HMS Core to improve on the app experience. As a result, the collaboration turned out to be overwhelmingly positive – the app was able to resolve its technical issues as well as grow the platform’s userbase to more than 115 million monthly active users.
"We are excited to work with Huawei and bring Likee to millions of AppGallery users,”Likee expressed .“The Huawei team not only demonstrated keen insights to our app, but also actively worked with our developers to further optimise the experience on Huawei devices. We are touched by this dedication, and we look forward to more opportunities down the road to work with Huawei again.”
Facilitating engagement with enhanced sign-up process
Prior to the partnership, both visitors and existing users had to go through a multi-step log in process before they could engage with the content on Likee. This wasn’t ideal especially for simple engagements such as editing a quick clip or even liking and commenting on a video, as the friction point risks user abandonment.
As such, the Likee team integrated the HUAWEI Account Kit which facilitates simple, secure, and quick sign-in. The Account Kit enables users to easily sign up or log in using their HUAWEI IDs, making the entire process effortless and seamless. It also offers multi-device support so that users can enjoy access across different active devices, providing outstanding convenience.
In addition, both Account Kit and HUAWEI ID are designed with users’ privacy in mind. The HMS Core capability supports two-factor authentication (2FA), and complies with GDPR as well as industry-standard protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Similarly, HUAWEI ID, a service provided by Aspiegel across Europe, is awarded with the European Privacy Seal certification. With these security measures, Likee provides its users with a peace of mind which encourages adoption among them.
Delivering content to users efficiently and competently
Likee also integrated the HUAWEI Push Kit which provides Likee with a powerful push service that promises a message delivery rate of 99% within 10 minutes.
The Push Kit boasts a global coverage of more than 230 countries and regions, and a highly capable distribution channel that can handle upwards of tens of billions of messages. By leveraging its capabilities, Likee is empowered to notify users about the latest viral content on the platform in a timely and accurate fashion, incentivising users to revisit the app and facilitating greater user engagement.
Monetise traffic with quality and privacy in mind
Likee also adopted two additional HMS Core – the HUAWEI In-App Purchase (IAP) Kit and HUAWEI Ads Kit – to monetise its highly impressive app traffic.
The team at Likee was able to introduce a convenient and secure in-app payment method with the IAP Kit. With the HMS Core’s support for multiple mainstream payment methods, it creates convenience and facilitated greater volume of in-app transactions. In addition, all data involved are encrypted and anonymized, empowering Likee to provide users a safer payment environment which encourages users to make more in-app purchases.
Along the same vein, the Ads Kit offers Likee access to the HUAWEI Ads Publisher Service that enables it to display high-quality multimedia content across six distinct formats – such as Banner, Native Rewarded, Interstitial, Splash and Roll. The variety helps the developer to promote ads in novel ways, appealing to user and encouraging click-throughs
In addition, the Ads Kit uses the open advertising identifier (OAID) – a non-permanent device identifier – to help developers personalise the ads while protecting users’ privacy. The OAIDs can then be used by third-party tracking platforms to provide conversion attributions and improve the monetisation of the app. This results in a win-win situation where Likee users gain exposure to products and services that they are interested in, while the developer generates revenue to drive further app innovation.
AppGallery provides strong growth opportunities for all developers
The HMS Core integration, on all accounts, was a huge win for Likee. The team not only enhanced app features and added Quality-of-Life improvements, but they also achieved remarkable growth – the global userbase bloom to more than 115 million active users with a 30% jump in revenue. In addition, more than 80% of all Huawei users are using their HUAWEI IDs to access Likee, signalling the strong popularity of the Kit among the community.
The entire collaboration serves as a testament to Huawei’s technological capabilities as well as commitment to its partners. Throughout the partnership, Likee had access to a dedicated technical support team from Huawei that actively assisted with the technical process which allows the developer to finish the integration in just four weeks.
