Camera issue with preinstalled Xiaomi camera app - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

This issue already applies to the 2nd phone I ordered. If I use the camera app with the standard photo mode with the main lens I cant manually change exposure nor can I take pictures while manually focusing. I have to wait until the focus is done and then after 2-3 second I am able to take photos.
This issue isnt present when using Gcam or some generic HD camera apps from the google playstore which leads me to think that it might be a bug indeed. I am not alone with this issue since I found at least 2 other people in german forums who mentioned the same. Is this something anyone from here experienced as well?

Mine shoot almost instantly when I adjust the focus and exposure on standard mode. I'm using Redmi Note 9S latest global version (11.0.7.0 QJWMIXM)

Nokia Camera Pro APK from Nokia 7

On the front page of XDA there is a [URLhttps://www.xda-developers.com/download-nokia-camera-pro-camera-nokia-7/=]news[/URL] about Nokia Camera Pro APK being available thanks to leak of Nokia 7 OTA that included it.
Seems to install and work fine on Nokia 8 too.
Was able to download and install the apk. But front cam with flash doesn't seem to work and would freeze. Trying to find the pro mode toggle (if there is one) but can't seem to find or activate it. Will try to go outside to take this for a spin since the gravity here in my bed is 150 stronger than earth's gravity. ?
No pro mode activated with 8
I tried it yesterday and uninstalled quickly. Crashes, no pro mode , and the results are not better that the official app We already have..
Google camera still 500% better than the ugly Stock App of the Nokia 8 and 7 app. 1080p 60FPA ftw.
It installs over the top of the stock app.
There are no additional manual settings.
Plus:-
- Bokeh is missing
- Beautify is missing
- Changing to front camera FCs
- Mono is missing
Uninstalled.
As everyone else says. Not very useful if you compare with Google's camera.
Conversation with support.
I just finished chatting to Nokia support. They won't confirm if the pro camera is coming to Nokia 8 any more. When I asked when the update was coming, support said that information was no longer available...
Yes, support is not good, no software to rollback or flash stock firmware, no download links of stock firmwares... Not open bootloader... And no clear answer of nokia pro cam
One plus camera on Nokia 8
I am using one plus camera app, every thing running smoothly except preview options, manual mode working so good, even front camera able take clear shots in indoor lighting. However mono camera (rear secondary) is not working.
Link.for apk ?

Google camera (with night sight) for the Mate 20 Pro?

Is there a verison which works on our phones?
Isn't night sight a feature copied from Huawei? The stock app should have it already. Or something similar. If that is not what you're looking for I'm sure there will be ports eventually
I don't like Huawei camera apps selfie feature. I wish they allowed you to turn of beauty mode completely. I am also looking for the stock google camera app. The ones online don't seem to even start on the mate 20 pro :/

[9.0][stock] best and totally stable gcam for max pro m1

I have found the best and stable GCam for our beloved Max Pro M1.
It's the BCG's V6.2
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog498/
Once you install the GCam, set the base model of Front camera to Nexus 6P.
I've seen that all the gcam ports just make my face pink-ish inspite of the good lightning. I've also found a fix to it!
Go into settings (gcam) and go further into Advanced under Photo section.
Over there you'll find a saturation section for adjusting saturation.
Set the Highlight Saturation to 0.8 & Shadow Saturation to 1.2 and then you're good to go!
This gcam also does not have any grey shutter or shutter lag in Portrait mode. Everything works fine including Night Sight.
Slo-mo works?

Not on mine
Hello after install it works and all, But I cant seem to find the shortcut icon?
"MGC_6.2.024_BSG-based_TlnNeun.apk" is the best Gcam port I've tried on this phone in terms of features and reliability.
Here's my review:
I tested "MGC_6.2.024_BSG-based_TlnNeun.apk" on Android 9. Although it has some problems, so far this is the best Gcam port I've used on this phone.
Shooting modes:
1. Camera (default)
2. Portrait
3. Panorama
4. Lens Blur
5. Video
6. Night Sight
7. Photo Sphere
8. Google Lens
The modes I care about (1-6) all work.
Here are the problems I've discovered so far:
1. Hardware details
When photos are produced by this app, sometimes the information embedded in the photo files incorrectly identifies my phone as a Huawei phone, and incorrectly identifies my camera as "Huawei ASUS_X00TD." (This is an Asus phone; it has nothing to do with Huawei.)
Strangely, sometimes the photos produced by the app will instead say that the camera used to shoot them is "asus ASUS_X00TD," which is correct. (X00TD is the generic model code for this kind of phone by Asus, and my global 4 GB variant of the phone specifically has model code X00TDB.)
To me, these inconsistent details are irrelevant.
2. Location (Coordinates) Details
By default, Location Saving was enabled by the app. However, this data did not actually save to any of the photos produced by the app. It was only after manually disabling Location within the app and then re-enabling it that the app eventually saved this data to photos.
I do care about having Location details saved to photos. Although the feature is buggy and does not work as it should by default, it thankfully can work reliably once you fiddle with it.
3. App crashes
I discovered two ways to inadvertently crash the app.
First, turning off HDR causes the app to crash with a "Camera keeps stopping error."
Fortunately, once you re-start the app, HDR is disabled and you don't see that error anymore. Presumably HDR is actually disabled until manually re-enabled by the user.
The second way I crashed the app was by going into Settings and then clicking on Help. This produced the same fatal error as disabling HDR. The app thankfully works fine once you re-start it, so the fatal crash will not recur unless you repeat your actions.
Hardware: Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, model X00TDB (the 4 GB global variant of the phone)
Operating System: Android 9 (AospExtended-v6.6-X00TD-20190819-1346-OFFICIAL.zip)

Sorry, your message is not clear. I don't understand you, but it seems like you're having problems using the camera app on your Max Pro M1.
If English is not your first language, maybe try posting your message in your native language, as someone may understand it. Alternatively, maybe someone can translate for you.
I've had varying degrees of success with these Google Camera ports on my Max Pro M1:
trCamera_V1.1_Eugene_Onegin
PMGC_7.2.014_Zoom_V4
MGC_6.2.024_BSG-based_TlnNeun
MGC_7.3.020_Parrot043-v2

I don't think any Gcam app will work until you enable Camera 2 API or install a custom ROM.
Why don't you enable Camera 2 API? It's not so difficult to do if you have a computer and have successfully installed the ADB program and the generic USB driver for Android phones.

Received 12.0.4 Global today

My 9T Pro received 12.0.4.0 QFKMIXM about 14 hours ago. It went smoothly and I notice I now have more available storage and Have Android security dated January 2021.
I imagine 12.5 of MIUI will be available in the coming weeks. I might wait a while before I upgrade to that. It would be nice to see if there are any bugs in the new rom.
I also received the 12.0.4. in my case I lost the camera with the upgrade. Now the camera app crash everytime I take a picture. It is also impossible to change between lenses. In average I was happy with the phone but I don't understand why Xiaomi is doing always thing like that.
I usually use google cam but I just check the Mi cam and it was fine. Maybe you could try to clear the cache on the cam app and then see if it works.

Thanks for your answer. I tried everything and nothing has changed. Let's see if Miui 12.5 can solve the problem. I think that next week is gonna start the roll out of this version
You could do worse than use this Gcam app. It works well for me. I never use the Mi camera app.

Incorrect position information on practically all photos

I may have come across an error in the Find X2 Pro's camera software.
However, the camera software is faulty. With recordings and photos of my hikes (with Komoot tracks), I can 100% prove that since the first day (!) the GPS position, which the camera saves with an image, is sometimes several km away from the actual position . The error occurs systematically. Not for all photos but for about 30% of all photos on a day trip. If I take the same shots with a GCAM app (installed on the Find X2) instead of the original Oppo camera, the position is exactly right. The two screenshots attached show the difference between the GCAM and Oppo cameras.
The GPS works. The GPS position in the komoot track is correct, only the photo is shown far off the track.
Resetting the smartphone to factory settings and reinstalling it did nothing.
I was waiting for the update to Android 12 or ColorOS 12. It came with a new camera SW. Despite this, the error still occurs and it only works with the Oppo camera with a GCAM.
I claim that my problem is not a defect in my smartphone, but a SW error in all Oppo cameras, although I cannot find any references to this on the internet.
What do you think about that? Anyone have the same problems?
