Best book reader or trick for landscape/portrait mode - LG G8X ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hey there!
It would be awesome if the available ereader apps would display 2 pages in portrait mode. Most of them do it but in landscape only.
No matter what rotating apps and tricks I have tried I cannot get the apps to be in 'landscape' while the phone is in portrait mode. Everything seems to affect system and app at once.
Does anyone know of a book reader that has 2 pages in portrait mode I can stretch across both screens (I have the workaround installed) or a rotating trick?
Thanks folks!
Unrelated: update and normal gestures finally! Woot!

Use Libera https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foobnix.pdf.reader, you can all so download the pro version for free on F-droid. There is an option while reading to display two pages at once. If you use that with the widescreen mode app it will work.

Thank you very much! After trying 15 or so you just give up and ask! Haha
Thanks again!

Hallos, I am not sure how this relates to Ereaders but i noticed that in some games the landscape mode turns in the wrong way.
I use Control Screen rotation to corrects these issues and it worked very well for me. It can be found here:
https://apkpure.com/nl/control-screen-rotation/ahapps.controlthescreenorientation
I just use it when i need it. hope this helps.

How do I capture a full screen shot?

Is it possible to capture my full screen, to post on-line, instead of just part of the screen,as w/ Drocap2?
I use a app called shootme, you will have to be rooted to use it.
Sent from my android using tapatalk.
Download screenshot it, it the best app for that and user friendly.

Without root, you can use DDMS from the Android SDK.

Cool Thnx guys, I am rooted n nvr tried posting my screen shot cuz it didn't capture the whole screen. But I just noticed some full screen shots (from others) posted on the web, n their previews r cropped, but the actual enlarged picture is full screen.
So will mine from drocap2 look that way to or should I get 'shootme'?
Let's find out:
Oh u just answered my above post. Cool
Cool, it works...Thnx everyone! Guess I shoulda figured that out sooner
I believe most people that have the notification bar chopped off their screen shots are using the sdk method

Request: Background Image (Might be hard to get).

I've searched everywhere on this forum and others but I haven't found anything close to what I'm looking for so I'm hoping some one will be able to help me out with this one.
The image I'm looking for is the background for the Night Time weather lock screen on the 3.0 Sense. Just in case I worded that wrong when I first hit the power button at night the lock screen loads with the moon, time, date, (Current) ect. There is a dark image in the background after the animation clouds clear with a grid pattern from the bottom of the page to the middle and a distant starry night sky from the middle up through the time.
Even if it's that image with the moon I don't care the moon is a clean image either way I am going crazy looking for it, I figured it would be an easy find considering but apparently not.
I still haven't found it yet, if anyone can help me out it would mean a lot.

[TIP] Netflix - How to keep player from pausing in multi-window + portrait mode build

One of the issues with using Netflix in multi-window is that the player pauses when its window loses focus. With this "trick" we can make the Netflix player think the focus was not changed. Thanks to tarheeldan for sharing his experience with it.
It's really very easy.
1) Load Netflix and another app you want to use in multi-window.
2) Play a movie/tv show. While the player is loading, touch the other window to bring it into focus.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3) The video should play while you have full control of the other window.
Of course touching the netflix window will bring it back into focus and pause it again when you leave it. Just repeat the steps above to make it stop pausing again.
I'm including a build of Netflix I modified to add portrait and rotation support if you want it:
Netflix 2.1.0 build 725 - http://goo.gl/cx8IS
This build will not detect market updates, though. I'm using this build, so I'll probably manually update versions occasionally.
Awesome! Can't wait to try this later. Thanks!
The app was already added in the non rooted add apps to multi-window, but I appreciate the tip!

Your portrait mod of the Netflix app works perfectly! Thanks!

[Q] Firefox for Android displayed resolution issue

This issue has been bothering me for some months, now, and what few possible fixes I have found out there seem to not work to varying degrees. So, the issue I'm noticing is on my Asus TF300T, if I display a page under Chrome, the page displays properly formatted for my screen's resolution and everything fits correctly. However, if I load the same page in Firefox, regardless of how I have zoom settings configured, or layout.css.devPixelsPerPx in about:config, the most I can make Firefox do is display a page with the correct resolution once. The moment I navigate away from a page, or refresh, or quit and relaunch the browser, pages load in lower resolution once again, despite the setting in about:config still being set as desired.
Here are some screenshots to help illustrate what I mean
Chrome:

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Firefox(Pale Moon to be exact):
So, my question is, does anyone have any other ideas as to how to figure this out and get Firefox to display pages as Chrome does? I know, I know, 'just use Chrome' but I actually am not a fan of how Chrome works for a number of things, also no extensions whatsoever, and all of my main PCs run Firefox, so sync is key.
Thanks for any suggestions you guys may offer and for taking the time to read this.

Bump.
I'm guessing nobody has any ideas or suggestions around this one, eh? It's a shame, too, cuz I'd love to be able to use my tablet as an actual computer and without getting my browsers to sync properly, it's the only obstacle remaining.

Astronomy apps gyro/compass issue?

I just received a Mate 20pro and may have found an issue. I'm wondering other are having the same issue.
I've loaded 3 astronomy apps: Sky Chart, Star Walk 2, Sky View.
If you enable compass mode so that as you move the phone it's shows you what's in the sky.
Hold the phone in front of you and turn around in a circle to a 360 degree turn, after a turn or two, the apps start doing a barrel roll.
I tried numerous apps to calibrate the sensors, but no luck. Oh and Sky Safari does not seem to suffer from this as badly, but still has issues.
Here's an animated gif I created.

If anyone could verify if this is an issue that would be great.
Thanks
