Looking a specific type of case for my S20 Ultra - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Accessories

Why am I having so much trouble finding a case for My S20 Ultra!
I am looking for a specific type of case that I have used previously with my prior phones, I am looking for a "leather" type case, not a wallet or folio type that the color of the case extends to the sides of the case (meaning NOT BLACK on the sides) and does not have the cutouts on the top and bottom (extends all the way around the phone evenly).
The last case that I had on my S10+ was a case made by "Mikki" and I can't find anything current from them.
This a picture of what I'm looking for.

Did a quick search for you, have one question before I look further. You know that case isn't leather, right?

Oh Ya, I know that it's faux leather...
I have found quite a few cases that almost fit the bill, but they have that "cutout" along the top and bottom of the phone.
This one is really close to what I'm looking for:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Leather-Ph...var=611768948918&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
But that Mikki case was perfect (for me). It bugs me to look down on the desk and see black edges, I didn't buy a black phone.
(I know it's strange, it must be my OCD )
Thanks

opinions on this case

In my ongoing effort to find the perfect case I just came across this one on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Cingular-HTC-81...QQihZ014QQcategoryZ146430QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Does anyone have any experience with it? My main point of concern is how does one get to the slideout keyboard?
Thanks
David
My guess is that you'd have to remove it from the case to use the keyboard. As far as I know, the only soft cases that allow you access to the keyboard are the PDAir and the Piel Frama (the one with a snap strap, not the other one).
That case is awful as well as the metal cases they have on ebay, I have them both and I dont like either one, still trying to find a case for my wizard that the keyboard can pop out of, I thought about modifying the metal case but the hinges on the door are on the side I would need to modify.
that...is VERY ugly! lol... check this one oout, found it on some other thread...

That's a nice case but find it wierd that they neglected to show pictures of this with the keyboard open. Anyone seen reviews of this case?
You have a review right here on this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291434
I bought that case, same as the author of the post. And I have the same problem. The back part of the case stays in place if you're careful, but when you slide the keyboard open it pops out. It's a pitty, it's a really nice looking case.
Not sure if it'd fit the Dopod 838 as good though...

Sharing my NSTR Case recommendation

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Speck, Barnes & Noble, or Amazon. I do not profit, or gain anything by this recommendation. It's just a personal discovery that made me happy and thought it might be helpful to other NSTR users.
For some reason all the B&N official Nook cases are way thicker and bulkier than they need to be. Also most third-party cases I looked at were faux-leather with huge messy stitching as if they were part of a Frankenstein cosplay competition.
Being super picky about these sorts of things, I put off buying a NSTR case while obsessively trying to find one that was:
1. Slim (All these giants cases defeat the purpose of a tiny portable ereader)
2. Play-through (I can leave it on while using, ie not just a slip-cover I can lose)
3. Protective (Not soft)
Well, I've been looking high and low, reading all the Nook forums with no luck until recently when I finally found this case: (I can't post links yet, so just search on Amazon for "Nook touch fitfolio"
Speck FitFolio for Nook Simple Touch Reader.
I saw it at Target for $29.99, but bought it on Amazon for just over $21. It looks like the price fluctuates a bit (it's $24.83 right now).
I got the black one, I got my wife the teal one. It also comes in purple.
wow, the blue one is really ugly. :-D looks like a lunch box. The grey one is nice.
I am using a cover bought from B&N, it is a bit thicker and larger but at least it protects my nook well from pressure and falls. That cover above seems to slim, I don't belive your nook would survive if it falls e.g. on the corner. Mine did several times.
Can you lock the front side of the cover to the back side (while reading)?
Cases
I use the Silicone skin. It's relay nice and absorbs most of the shock of a drop.

1. I've looked at each and every official B&N cases in detail and found all of them, frankly, to be really lacking in several areas. The Speck case has a much more secure attachment system as well a good shock absorption due to the material and the shape of the case. Also, as I mentioned, it is much more form fitting than any of the B&N cases.
2. Yes, you can lock the front cover to the back while reading.
I should have mine next week!
Based on your recommendation I ordered one, and I should have it next week. I will let you know how it works out.
Edit: I just exchanged my NSTR at B&N a couple of days ago as it had a cluster of stuck pixels. I had no problems, but the employee said that it could have been caused by something being pushed down on that screen at that point. This is why I decided to get a case, as I don't want it to happen again!

Edit: I reviewed the description & it DOES say the bungee is "two-way", so I am assuming it is designed to work that way - it just seemed a bit of a tight stretch. No biggie for me, as I don't think I would be attaching it any - folded back works fine.
Just received mine today. It really has a nice feel, and I think it will protect it well. Thanks for the recommendation!
P.S. The cover DOES fold back upon itself, but I wouldn't say exactly say it "locks" (rather, I would not want to, as it would overstretch the "bungee").
EDIT: I just reviewed the specs, and it does state that the bungee is "two-way" - it just seemed a bit of a tight stretch. No biggie for me, as it works well, simply folded back, and not attached.
So the folded cover is not "fixed" in the folded position? Could you upload more photos?
Mine nook cover is magnetic and therefore folded front & back cover keeps together, moreover when bonded with magnetic clip.
I have bought aluminium case for my NST. It has 3 positions for reading. The NST clips inside so it wont fall out. It has a black padding inside and it seems to be thinner then all those folding leather ones. The disadvantage of this cover is -> when you open the cover and flip it at the back, so it flat ... it's kind of awkward to read it like that, because of the round shape. It just feels
Since this is one of my first posts in this forum, I can't put the LINK for the cover. but if you would go in UK Ebay and type in search : aluminium nook ... you should see it. it cost 12.99GBP.
But now with the "keayboard hack" ... I'm thinking about finding a way how to modify the cover for 10" tablets with keyboard so it can hold the NST. That's what kepps my mind busy at the moment.
I agree completely with the Speck case. I too do not see the need for B&N making such large covers for such a small device. The Speck cover is just barely bigger than the nook and is comfortable to hold with the cover folded back and secured. The nook snaps in and out of the cover very easily. If you fold the cover back and secure it, it stays level and has enough grip to not slide if you prop it against something to read. I would prefer a magnet or snap closure, but after several uses the bungee gets easier to fasten. Very satisfied with this cover.
I found the Specs cases at my local Target. Prices varied from $29.99 for the standard colored (blue, purple, green) cover to $34.99 for a black 'leather' version. They did not show up at the online Target.com site. Very nice. I may have to get one.
I have ordered Industriell Cover in Carbon with Lyra Light and Anti-Glare Film when bought my Nook. And right after my order came to me in B&N store appeared Silicone Covers and Stella Light. I`d rather bought them...
What I don`t like in my cover is the way Nook is mounted into it. Why not to fix the book with four of these latches. Another thing is the size, tried to find anything that adds less to the sizes of the Nook itself.
Also in this theme I saw Speck cover, if I knew of it earlier I`d mostly bought it. But now I don`t need two covers so... I use what I use...

I have the same case, and it's not that easy to hold. And trying to press the buttons on the left just makes the entire thing flip. Also, what changed between the Lyra Light and the Stella Light?
Have no problems holding it.
Don`t like how left buttons are pushed myself that`s on what I said about latches.
Stella looks just prettier then Lyra. Also Lyra just unbends when Nook is being shaked(while reading in bus or other transport)

I think that's the one I got: I would normally never buy a case made by the device manufacturer, but I picked this one up at Best Buy for (I think) $15: it's two stiff boards, just wider than the Nook Touch itself, with a hinge at the top, with a magnetic clasp that can also be used to hold the front and back cover together as a stand when they're folded backward. The whole thing is light, compact, and protective--and not any harder to read in the case than out of it (plus, if you need a reading light, it's easier to clip it to the cover than to the Nook itself). You can even charge the device without opening the cover, though you do have to move the clasp aside.
This case must be discontinued, though, because now I can't find it on either the B&N or the Best Buy site.
I didn't like any cases available for the nst. Till I made one. What do you guys think?

Good work, very cool. Did you use a book, or some sort of journal? I have been wanting to do something like this, but do not have any books that I am willing to cut up.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda premium
It was a blank journal that was 5.75x7in. It was tight fit but I managed.
I searched far and wide for a case for my STR and I thought about getting a Speck FitFolio until I saw one in person in Target. Seemed too flimsy. Anyway, after a long search I found Oberon covers. Solid drum dyed tooled leather, about 3/16" thick. Not cardboard covered by a thin strip of 'leather'. They come in many designs and colors and cost about $15 more than a high priced B&N cover, which is OK, because I think it will last a lifetime.
I do not work for, nor am I affiliated with Oberon Designs. I'm just a very satisfied customer.
The oberon case looks familiar:

"Smart Cover" style cases?

I find the smart cover case of my iPad 2 is ideal for typing in "landscape keyboard" mode. I haven't found any cases on eBay etc that do this except some really bulky/fugly ones. Has anyone found anything elegant/thin along the lines of the iPad 2 smart cover yet? I realize the GT7.7 doesn't have the logic to turn off when the cover is closed, I can live without that!
The original Samsung OEM case/cover looks very nice but doesn't seem to stand on its own in landscape keyboard mode

As long as the surface is not overly smooth, the Samsung Original Book Cover case does stand in landscape (thanks to rubber strips that adds friction). See pics. May not *look* especially stable, but it does seem to hold out nicely.
Ironically, I would like to see a case that allows my tab to stand in portrait mode, since I'm more likely to read that way. Never seen one before.
I have a case similar to the official iPad1 case. Very slim and snug fit. Doesn't add much to the size of the device, keeping the original slimness. Its faux leather on the outside and suede cloth inside. It has the same standing mechanism as the iPad1 case too. Comes in a few colours, I got the brown one.
I've been looking for exactly this type of case and was amazed they are made. I believe I can post images now and so I'll put some up later.

A similar one popped up on eBay last night for $25. Seller is in HK of course. What site did you find this on?
Tmall.com taobao.com

that one cost RMB120
I found it at http://www.minihotsale.com/rock-sam...blet-light-cool-folio-leather-case_p1435.html
$35 shipped, not terrible. I like that it doesn't intrude on the bezel the way some of the other folios do.
Thanks cyuet for pointing me in the right direction! Will advise once received.

Thats the one. I personally prefer cases that give all round protection and this case does that. I find cases that only grip the corners can come loose over time, and badly made ones have terrible tolerances and may not even adequetly hold the device.
Thanks

I also think that a case like the smart cover for the ipad2 is ideal for the tab 7.7. I have seen those for the 10.1 and 8.9 on ebay, and I am pretty sure they will pop up for the 7.7 soon.

According to the site in the picture it is just a 3d rendering of a possible prototype so it is not an actual product yet that you can buy.
I've ordered the brown leather strap today, apparently they make them as the orders come in, I have to wait until next week for the shipping + another 2-3 weeks delivery... ouch... not the cheapest one either, but looks really nice. I've ordered via their website giphone(dot)ru, yes... it's in russian... and no... it wasn't easy

Nice waiting.....
Well I got my dispatch confirmation with Russian post tracking number a couple of days ago, it took almost 2 weeks from order to dispatch, and it's supposed to take another 15-20 days to arrive, plus possibly a few days in customs. I love Russian ingenuity and I hope it's worth it but at the moment I'm not impressed.
Wouldn't the leather one with the easy call feature block the heart sensor on the back?
Also, does the brown leather one (second post) have only one hole?
OK guys, so my strap has just arrived, all in all it was actually faster than I anticipated considering the initial delay.
The strap is really nice, and I mean really nice, it's thick leather with nice grain stitched through with yellowish-brown thread. The thread holds the folded over leather where the clasp is mounted but otherwise the stitching is for appearance rather than function and it really does look nice. I like the embossed logo, it adds character and looks good, it should be on both sides, not just on the inside, but of course I suppose one could flip the strap around
The watch goes into the strap exactly the same way as in the original silicone, the difference is, when the band is on the wrist, there is a tiny bit of gap on top and on the bottom of the watch, I think it's almost unnoticeable, but for sure unavoidable because the watch is already a tight fit, anything tighter and it wouldn't go in.
Overall well executed idea with nice craftsmanship, definitely worth the money. Considering the current heat wave it was getting really tough to wear the watch with the silicone strap, I'm very happy with it now.
I'll put up a few pics in a minute.
PS. Here are some of my pics: https://flic.kr/s/aHskhH4X1r
PS2. My wrist is relatively small so I had to punch another hole in the strap, I used the leather punching tool so it's good, if you don't have one and your wrist is on the small side I would probably ask the seller to add another hole.
Nice review and beautifull pictures, thank you
At the moment the master is heavily loaded, the straps will again be available in 1-2 weeks. You can buy will be on my website http://giphone.ru/shop/kozhanyj-remeshok-dlya-samsung-gear-s-2

I picked one of these up off eBay, the black leather one with the metal ring to hold the Gear S. No major review since I'm not a watch guy, but I'll say it's definitely more comfortable and less sweaty than the stock rubber. The only issue I had was getting the screw back into the metal ring to secure the Gear in place - I did some industrial strength swearing during that long process. But I'm not great with small tools like that, so others may find it easier.

I got this one from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NCK5S2V/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I get tired of the normal solid color cases and thought this "Starry Night" was a nice change. Originally I wasn't going to get a case for it to keep it as light as possible, but I found it a bit slippery at times and thought I better get a case before I accidentally drop the tablet.
I have this one - navy blue color

I just bought another M3 from Amazon Italy and found this hardcase for it:

Does anyone thing there will be an otter box type case coming out for this device. It seems to be a lot more popular that is was when it first came out.
I definitely recommend this one (I got the white one) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-i...32757256844.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.djUIsA. It has magnetic lock, it is thick enough to protect the tablet. I have not seen any Otter Box case or even a skin like Dbrand's or Alien Surface. The only thing that is close to the Otter Box is this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Min...32789384944.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.Bwm6Yo.

I'm joining the conversation just to bring my experience.
I've have the silicon cover of kwmobile and this is what I think about it: the grip is great, it is not too chubby, but the protection doesn't fit well (I guess the silicon needs time before adapting to the tablet shape).
The one linked by @Flavio looks good and now I'm undecided, because I want also to protect my screen (not with the plastic film protection).
So maybe I will go for this: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B01N4X1MLZ/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I3CP2J4UVV6I92&colid=36ITKF2LDDASR&psc=1
It should be available also in other Amazon country.
From amazon
Got mine from amazon, most of the covers for the M3 come with magnet and auto turn-off feature. It is a must to protect such a large body made of aluminum.
<link upheld due to my noob status>
Cheap and does the job fine.
This for me has worked wonders.
