Adobe Photoshop Camera - Nokia 7 Plus Themes, Apps, and Mods

A new camera app from Adobe with AI and filters that looks very promising.
Unfortunately in the Playstore its not yet compatible with the N7plus.
Maybe someone found the APK and tested?

Found it on the APKmirror its working.
Scenery enhancer works nicely, most stuff is for selfies, many extras. give it a shot.

what about the output quality?
Is It just another cam , or is it a good GCam alternative?

I can answer by myself after trying it.
Just a regular camera with some artistic effect. If you're interested in partialar backgrounds or bokeh effects, it's a good product,
If you simply want quality pics, stay with GCam 100%.
P.S. I noticed that my N7+ was very hot in processor area while Adobe Camera was in use.
Maybe it requires big effort from processor to apply high quality effects on pictures, and this explains why it's not available on Google Play.

Ok but gcam is buggy ...

That's sadly true.
I really don't know if there is a camera app that could really improve the quality of N7+ pics.
I've tried many: opencamera, better camera, fv-5, even dslr camera pro.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I noticed that most of the best features of those apps are not working on N7+. For example, there's no way to increase manually time of shutter. And so on.
At the end, it seems that the quality is less or more the same we can see with the stock app.
Difference with gcam is huge.
Back to Adobe Camera, I'd give it a try if it had a few more options to set up. I'm not much into fancy filters, but I'm interested in white balance for example, or taking realistic color pics at sunset.

Try killercam Revolution from Raznoptid. It has configs for nokia 7 plus. (Not the best configs, but you can imput some tweaks after).

This app is not my thing. Gcam + Snapseed is better for me.

[Q] Is there Camera App that takes pic without processing? Best quality?

Hi all, I'm new here and to the android world,
I have a Q:
I am coming from the graphic design and Photoshop and I knew few things about camera and image processing and after looking in the camera app on android I cant find good app that can just take a pic without processing! (sharpening, noise redaction, etc)
I wonder why no 1 made such app that gives the user option to take the natural photo prom the sensor without the stupid image processing algorithm!
I want the natural photo and edit it later in pro software (Photoshop)
Is the app like this?
I'm not sure if it processes images by default as it has effects that can be manually applied in post photography which might mean it takes pictures unprocessed, but I use a replacement camera app called camera zoom fx and it takes much better pics than my phones default camera app so it might be an option to try.
It also has more pre photograph options and modes such as burst and timelapse modes and more ways to control how the picture is taken such as metering controls.
Its not free but there may be a trial version. I bought it when android market had a sale offer on its top apps but its worth even normal full price.

Actually, I like the idea of RAW image format for Android camera. Is it possible?
There are a handful of great camera apps, some free, some not. I like to use Nemus camera, Camera effects ,and Fast burst, these are all free apps. The first two have some cool effect on them and the last app lets you take 30 shots per second. There is one called Camera Zoom FX that is 2 or 3 bucks. I haven't used it but I have read good things about it. Hope that helps.
If you are talking about app that takes no time and provide good quality selfie or pic. I recommend Camera 365 Beauty app...

Simply HDR app alternative

I was an iphone 5 user and made the switch over to the Note 2 recently. One thing I miss is this app called Simply HDR. It's a faux HDR that added some neat effects. I'm no photographer at all so I don't understand your basic photo settings which is why simply HDR was great because you could just choose a pre set and be done.
Does anyone know of an app that does pretty much the same thing, maybe one that I missed?
I have tried pretty much all apps i come across and the only one that comes close is HDR fx. Downside is it is way over done and the photos look over processed and terrible. There is also very few pre sets that create the desired effect.
Have you tried

Are you running a Custom ROM? The aosp cameras have an hdr function.

So far ive tried a lot of different apps. I like the best 'Fotor' and 'Camerace'. The best photo editor is either PicsArt or Aviary.

I purchased the following apps and have had great success with them.
You can see some photos taken with Pro HDR Camera on my Flickr @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/
Pro HDR Camera
HDR FX Pro (Have to play with the settings quite a bit to get the desired effect)
Perfectly Clear (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX)
Pixlr Express (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX and useful for resizing images)
You may also want to take a look at Vignette Camera and Camera FV-5. In my opinion, Camera FV-5 gives you the most control over the settings and pics.
Hope this helps

Hey im back... you can continue with life =)
Unfortuantely the only app that gets close to what im looking to accomplish was photo fx but it was way over processed looking. Ive got to spend time tinkering.
I got an email from the guys at Simplyhdr/JixPix and they plan in releasing simply HDR on android soon hopefully. Its not a natural hdr which most if the apps here seem to be doing actualy hdr function...taking multiple photos and stitching them together. Simlly hdr takes one and creates an hdr effect that seems more dramatic. Hard to explain.
try this...

Which is the best Android Camera App?

Hey guys,
since I got my OnePlus 3 and changed to CM13 Rom (Android 6.0.1) the camera isn't that good.
Also the Oxygen Camera isn't the best regarding to the less setting options.
Since I ever wondered which might be the best android camera app I now decided to start this thread.
I've searched for hours and informed me about the topic as good as I could but without any acceptable results.
What do I especially mean with "best camera app"?
It's not those nonsense features like filters or something that I need.
I am searching for a camera app which main feature is really based on taking photos in best quality
and having most possible setting options in order to that.
The best result I found seems to be the Camera FV-5
Do you have camera apps for android which are even better?
Thanks in advance, guys

i simply use candy for selfies
I know this is a bit late, but have you tried Open Camera? It's a great open source camera that has many features to control, such as fixed/auto focus, iso, resolution, timer, burst, white balance, scenes, color effects, shooting in raw, exposure bracketing for HDR, and more.

Modded Google Camera with HDR+ on Nokia 8

Since there is no such thread here yet, I wanted to start discussion about using modded Google Camera from this thread on Nokia 8 (mostly what's best configuration and version).
What doesn't work:
- Slow Motion in 6.1.x
- HDR+ in 6.1.x when number of shots is set higher than 20
What works:
- HDR+ (including auto HDR with ZSL on both front and rear cameras)
- Night Sight (only on 6.1.x ports and higher)
- Portrait mode on both front and rear cameras (replaces lens blur mode from older versions of Google Camera)
- Motion Pictures (only on Oreo and higher and only with rear camera set to 16:9 ratio and flash disabled)
- Slow Motion video recording (only on 5.x GCam, broken again on 6.1.x ports)
- Spherical photos
- Panorama
AR Playground (only with 6.1.x ports, you must also install ARCore first)
Recommended for Pie (based on GCam 6.1.x): MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.2_TlnNeun.apk
Recommended for Oreo (based on GCam 5.x): GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.apk
Site with all APKs listed: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
I just downloaded the version on Apotide and I don't really see anything outstanding from the first look.
What are the main benefits of Google Camera vs stock Nokia?
Should I download a different version of Google Camera from somewhere?
Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
Main benefit is better HDR algorithm and thus better photos in low light conditions. I also think that auto focus in Google Camera works better (it's easier to get focus on the point you want and it stays there until you take a photo) or something else that makes photos from Google Camera less blurry than ones from Nokia Camera.
As for the versions - since they are mostly made for OnePlus, some version work better, some worse with other smartphones as they contain modifications for specific models.
I really miss the HDR from Nokia / Microsoft Lumia.. The pictures were always amazing compared to my wife's iPhone.
Will give Google camera a proper test and see how it goes.

I finally got Oreo update and those colorful lines (artifacts) are gone, so it seems to be a bug on Nougat only.
Yes I noticed the colour artifacts are gone too. I have the BSC and Arnova apps both installed. I use the BSC app with high parameters for still or more detailed shots and the Arnova is my quicklaunch camera, set to 8mp with Motion Photos enabled and HDR parameters set to default. I also turn camera.faces and camera.shot_tracking on in developer settings.

HDR with the Google Camera app can yield spectacular results. A relative was out with me at a Christmas fayre yesterday evening and we both took a photo of a nice tree - him on his Samsung S8+ and me on my Nokia 8. Mine looked *loads* better.
Which version of Google Camera are you using? Original or a mod version?

BSC? Arnova? Never heard of either apps. Unless with BSC you mean B-S-G. Never mind, just didn't look at the OP closely enough.

There are no artifacts in Oreo. I'm using Oreo.
Is there any way to make Google photos save to SD card?
It's putting everything on internal and I want it in my normal SD card folder.

Pixels don't have a card slot, which is why the app has no option written into it to save to SD card.
Ah good point.
This is frustrating for me but I will test the app a bit more to see if the image quality makes up for this.

You do have 64GB or 128GB internal to play with, so at the very least you could just occasionally open Google's FilesGo app and tick the 'move to SD' option, or use Google Photos' delete from device option if you're happy to have them in the cloud.
Since installing the G camera apk both stock and G camera are taking too long to open and constantly hanging and making the phone unresponsive so I have unistalled it for now.
I'll try one of the other versions later.
Google Camera producing much better detailed photos compared to Nokia camera app. For sure, the images have more noise, less sharpness and bigger filesize. But at least it has more details, more smoothness and less jaggy pixels.
When I need better images, I use my 808PV.
Using GCam 5.1 Arnova v1.0 on Nokia Oreo.
Small comparison I made. There's a big difference in favor of the Google camera.
Been using it from day 1, Back camera indeed captures better photos compared to stock app
For those who wish to be participated in Google camera mod

How To Guide I am fed up of this ****ty camera processing of Nord 2.

The stock camera app of Nord 2 is ****. It over processes the images and the photos don't look like they are taken from a 50MP camera.
Any suggestions on what to do or some good GCam you can suggest?
Some examples? High mp sensors suffer in low light and have a more shallow depth of field especially up close to subjects. An accurate AF lock is important because of the narrow DOF; example, always try to get a AF lock on the subject's closest eye when shooting a face.
Adjust your shooting style according to the camera's strengths and weaknesses. See as the camera sees not as your eyes see. Human vision has exponentially more processing power and an incredible imaging system more so than any camera.
I want a proper gcam version if available or any better alternative that stock.
Always disable HDR option and pictures will look a lot better (sadly the app doesn't remember this setting so you have to turn it off each time) . The HDR process in the Nord 2 is absolutely awful .
Download the first file in this link. Photos taken with the primary camera will be much better, though I don't think Night Sight works. https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-wichaya/f/dl5/
DISABLE HDR. It's a known issue.
But you can't disable HDR when taking photos directly in other apps (whatsapp, telegram, etc)? I had OP8T and it had same issue and I had returned it...
GCam won't give you 50MP. AFAIK the only way to get 50MP on stock Nord 2 is by using the Extra HD feature in the stock camera app.
I'm curious to know if people with rooted devices have this capability enabled in the API. Let us know please

I don't think HDR and other processing options are enabled for 3rd party apps (same goes for the ultrawide lens, you can't use it in other apps) for me whatsapp and telegram pictures look good (but they are heavily compressed)

50Mpx is available in some GCAm versions (Wichaya and Nikita if I remember correctly, BSG and Greatness don't have the full resolution option) , but the 50mpx full resolution of the sensor is totally useless (not only with the nord 2 , but generaly with all other phones) , 12mpx pixel bining gives you better image processing, less noise , etc... a quick look at the reviews explain very clearly why is not a good idea to use the full resolution (50, 108mpx etc...) of a phone sensor.
Personally I use the BSG 8.4 v10 version and pictures are great, Google HDR+ implementation give a lot better results than stock app

Was this on stock or rooted? Btw for me the 4:1 binning is not something desirable since I stack very low light photos, run my own denoising and various other process. Hence why I need the full sensor data made available to apps like OpenCamera

Yes, IM apps do compress photos but that's different story than colour fidelity. In my time with 8T the colours in photo app and telegram/whatsapp were simply blown out of proportion: something normal-red in real life was glowing like burning Mars in 8T photos. After disabling HDR in camera app the photos looked ok (though still overprocessed hence IMHO OP3 photos looked better!) but in whatsapp/telegram I still had same issue with stupid extreme colours...
