[RECOVERY] [UNOFFICIAL] LR.Team TWRP-3.4.1B-0616-REALME_X50PRO-CN by wzsx150 - Realme X50 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

This recovery was not made by me, i'm just sharing it in easier ways to download. The guy behind this is wzsx150, thank him for it.
After a lot of pain researching and trying to download from Baidu servers i finally managed to get this custom TWRP to get rid of force encryption on stock MIUI because this recovery can successfully decrypt with no need to do a format data.
Just installed magisk v20.4 on stock rom close avb 2.0 it work

Magisk on Honor 9 oreo B360

Can anyone provide a guide to install Magisk root on Honor 9 with Oreo B360.
I did search here but didn't find it anywhere.
Thank you.
This magisk 15.4 fully works with honor 9 :

I'm waiting for someone to confirm everythings also work on magisk 16.0 ; I think one user told it didn't.

So, can I just install Magisk zip file with Twrp or do I need to do something else?
It you read the link i sent you, you'll see:
"Instructions
If your device have TWRP support, just directly flash it via TWRP. For devices without TWRP yet (currently all Huawei Treble devices), you can follow the instructions below)"
I didn't tried the twrp way, I did the fastboot way as I did not had a twrp when i did it.
1) Unlock your device (if you haven't not already)
2) Install this TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/oreo-t3754483
3) Install last version of magisk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Via custom recovery:
Download the latest Magisk zip file
Reboot to a custom recovery and flash the flashable zip
Reboot to system, and check whether Magisk Manager is installed and the version matches the latest one in the OP
If for some reason Magisk Manager isn't installed/upgraded automatically, please install/upgrade it manually!

Yes.
Proof here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75689044&postcount=12
The patched image is only 8 mo, is it ok?
How are things going with the OTA updates?
So, using method from " [OFFICIAL] Magisk v16.0 - Root & Universal Systemless Interface [Android 5.0+] " I use adb command , the first is ok
Copy the patched boot image to your PC. If you can't find it via MTP, you can pull the file with ADB:
adb pull /sdcard/MagiskManager/patched_boot.img
When I try the second :
Flash the patched boot image to your device and reboot. Here is the command if using fastboot:
fastboot flash boot /path/to/patched_boot.img
I get this message : " < waiting for any device >
Can you help me for that ?
I'm using stock rom , STF L09 8.0.0 360 / c432 to be exact
Thanks !
EDIT : Did I need unlocked bootloader to flash patched boot image ?

UP !
is there many people using Magisk on Honor 9 ? some experiences ?
Sorry for that, but same question : Did I need unlocked bootloader to use fasboot command with adb method ? It's only write : " no need root, no need custom recovery "
thanks !
I think you need unlocked bootloader to be able to flash image through fastboot.
So with the adb command you pulled the patched boot from your phone to your computer.
Now about the fastboot command ; the fact you get a '< waiting for any device >' means your phone isn't on bootloader, or isn't connected while you issue that command.
You could type :
' fastboot devices ' to test your fastboot connection while your phone is booted in bootloader aka fastboot mode.

Go back to phone and wipe data of Phone and Messages
Go back to command prompt and:

That guide will likely not work, due to fastboot being disabled.
How much was the bl unlock code?
See my thread in this section. I've already tried this method several days before. Does not work. Seems like EMUI 9.1 is a lot different than EMUI 9.0

Exactly. The OP shouldn't be making threads that make it sound like we have the ability to root when he even admits he's not done it yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79681506&postcount=9
Solution is
Backup all, then factory reset. After reset don't allow phone to boot, immediately go to fastboot and flash recovery_ramdisk with magisk. Then reboot and wait for phone first init. It tells that root is found, press ok.
After that we hawe root and SMS working/QUOTE]
Might be worth trying for someone that has their bootloader unlocked and is willing to factory reset, provided the OPs link with instructions for creating the modified recovery_ramdisk works. I just ordered my code yesterday so I'm not expecting it until the end of the week to do any testing.
Recovery mode should still work, even if the phone starts boot looping. It's on a separate partition and downloads a fresh copy of the firmware from Huawei to install. It saved me a few times when experimenting in the early days of the P20 pro

@op - Did you get rooted?
Just Tried Again,
Extracted the Ramdisk from 153 (C185) Update file using Update Extractor
Patched using Magisk 19.3 - Magisk Manager
Flashed in Fastboot after a Factory Reset, Flashing went fine. No Errors.
Phone boots fine in Normal Mode, setup done - booted to System (Root Not available)
Turned off - Boot in Recovery Combination - Goes into Bootloop. After 3 Bootloops, Phone boots to eRecovery for Restore.
EMUI 9.1 doesn't support the Magisk patch method used for EMUI 9.0.
Any other ideas guys?

I can help experimenting since the recovery partition seems quite save. However, how do i make a backup of everything? All apps, their settings, icons on home screen etc?
Would this work? https://9to5google.com/2017/11/04/how-to-backup-restore-android-device-data-android-basics/
Hell everyone thanks for sharing your experience here. I want to clarify that I'm not a developer, what I have learnt from xda I shared here. I am a guy who wants to root his phone no more mods needed. These are the experience we have to share with each other. Will will find a way... I want to be rooted at any cost.
See my attachment, there is a hope. Magisk creator is trying hard for EMUI, every new build comes with EMUI bug fixes.
Thanks again for sharing rooting experience:good:

Nah, Bootloader was always accessible to me. There was no issue with it.
Try Uninstalling Hisuite and installing Google ADB. Hisuite installs a modified version called HDB which might mess up things sometimes.
For a complete backup without root, HiSuite is the only way.

Flash update_full_base.zip (FULL OTA) firmware with EMUI Flasher v1.1
Hy guys,
Can someone with unlocked bootloader and root install EMUI Flasher and flash the update_full_base.zip (FULL OTA) on device and report if it's working? Below you'll find the MEGA mirror for latest firmware v.176 downloaded from Firmware Finder.
MEGA link for VOG-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.176 - MD5 checksum value 4dbe96c1b4fbc29aaa67cae2f3778517
LINK for [GUIDE] Manual updating/Firmware Collection/Rooting and EMUI Flasher ( thanks @OldDroid )
BEFORE proceding, make sure to patch RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img from v176 firmware while you are rooted on current firmware version.
REMEMBER that after succesfull firmware update you'll have to reflash the patched_boot.img to recovery_ramdisk (via fastboot) to regain root access.
Your userdata should stay intact - at least that was it back when i flashed on P20 Pro

You can flash this directly from ofox. It's the current updated Android R stock firmware which is stable. Just format your data, flash the recovery rom (not the fastboot rom) and reboot.
But I highly recommend you to try EU rom from xiaomi.eu website.

Ys. It's the eu one that I mentioned.
But note that eu roms are always little behind the latest versions.
Right now, eu rom is 12.0.1 & stock is 12.0.4.
But don't worry, differences are very minor. Go with EU.

Maybe. Because, Encryption & rooting together doesn't go well.
On Encryption, you have to follow boot patch method. Recovery flashing won't work.
Extract boot.img from your stock firmware (or EU rom firmware), patch that file from magisk patch method. You'll get patched_boot.img. Flash that as boot under recovery.

Hey dude, first of all, I'm thankful to you for keeping calm and helping me
But actually both TWRP and OFox recoveries show nothing inside /system except for 4 folders which has nothing inside them. So I can't even see the files I want to delete.
Maybe it's because of the dynamic system partition or super partitions in android 11, idk I'm just super disappointed
Hey, @MPK99
One thing I noticed that system can be mounted read-only in OFox. If I want to mount it read-write, it just won't.

Rooting OnePlus 7T Pro

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to root my OnePlus 7t Pro with android 11 installed, but I can't figure out a way how to do so...
I read some other posts/threads and tried to root it installing Magisk canary but it still didn't work (it got stuck in the booting process, and I had to flash the stock boot image to get it working again). Does anybody have an other idea of something I could try? Magisk doesn't same to get it patched regardless of which version I use...
Thank you in advance for your help!

You said it got stuck in booting process, was this after a fastboot flash patchedboot.img?

Yes, exactly... Sorry for not specifing. I patched the image, flashed it and than my phone stopped booting correctly and I had to flash the stock image to make it work again. I searched a little bit and found out that it was Magisk's fault and read that I had to try with the canary version, so I did but it still did not work and I was stuck on the same point as before.

Have you tried just fastboot boot patched.img and doing a direct install through Magisk?
I know some people reported their phones borking after trying to fastboot flash.

Sorry, I'm not really sure if I understood what you meant....
I thought that maybe I could try to downgrade to android 11 to then root and upgrade while remaining root. What do you think about this idea? And do you know how I could downgrade my phone? I did some research but did not find anything useful...

So you would take your stock Android 11 boot.img and patch it like you would in Magisk Manager. Save the patched.img to your computer. Reboot to bootloader and apply command fastboot boot patched.img. this should restart your phone using the patched.img. once it starts, go into Magisk Manager and click Install > Direct Install > Reboot when asked.
You could certainly go back to A10 from A11 but you will lose all your data. The method above does work. Where did you get the stock boot.img?

I downloaded the software from the official website and used payload dumper to extract the boot image. To be sure that I understood everything... you suggested to use "fastboot boot patched.img" instead of "fastboot flash boot patched.img", and once the phone restarted to go to magisk manager and click direct install.
Do I need Magisk Manager canary or the normal version for this to work and do I have to mantain the canary version or can I install the normal version once it is rooted?
Either 22.1 or Canary works for A11

One last question, is it normal that the "unlocked bootlader message" when booting shows up for almost two minutes? When I had Android 10 it did not take that much...

Yes for some reason, I noticed that as well on my device.
FYI, the patched boot may only work with Magisk canary

So not Magisk v.23 but Magisk canary?
I know that there was rooting issues back at the end of last year, but I'm not sure exactly what version of Magisk it was at the time.
If you want to pass safety net on A11, I've read success posts with canary and Magisk hide

Okay thanks, I'll try with v.23 first and If that does not work than I'll try with the canary one. Thank you very much!!!
Hiya, just use this TRWP. Decryption works on Android 11 (only tested on lineage).
Reboot to fastboot and use
fastboot flash recovery_a recovery.img
And
fastboot flash recovery_b recovery.img
And reboot to recovery.

Decrypt does not work on OOS and you do not need TWRP to Magisk.

I'm sorry to bother you again, but I tried with "fastboot boot patched.img" and it still did not work. It got stuck while booting again with "unable to parse kernel log" as error message. Do you have any other suggestions?
P.S. I got a full backup with "adb backup -apk -all -shared -f /path/to/location" today and thought about just doing a factory reset, trying to root the phone, restore the backup. Do you think that might actually work? Thank you for your help!

For clarification, does this method not work anymore on Android 13?
How I rooted my international (EU) Realme GT 5G
I couldn't find any simple instructions for rooting so hopefully this helps someone. I'm assuming you've already unlocked your bootloader. If not, download the deep testing app (there are various apks on xda e.g. from here). Then submit the...

Only for chinese rom (domestic). There's a thread on the GT forum page
I extracted the boot.img from RMX2202_11_F.02 (Android 13 global stable version) using payload dumper
You can patch it with your Magisk app (like Magisk Delta to get Magisk hide back) and then flash the patched file with fastboot :
fastboot flash boot_ab patched_boot.img
If your bootloader isn't unlocked, you need to unlock it via the deeptest apk somewhere in this forum
Also since you're in beta version, you may need to wipe to get back to stable Android 13

I tried it and it worked
Note that I already had Magisk root before updating to Android 13, then I simply repeated the steps like I usually do whenever there was an update for Android 12. I don't know if that makes a difference, probably not, but better to mention it I think
Hello,
I was rooted on F.02 (realui 4 - android 13). My method was to
1. go in bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)
2. boot in twrp (fastboot boot twrp.img)
3. extract boot.img (adb shell - dd if=... of=...)
4. reboot and patch the file via magisk
5. boot only with the patched boot image
6. let magisk (that in this moment has root) patch, making a backup for next otas, and root the existing installed boot image
Unfortunately from F.03, installed succesfully today via OTA, the step 4 (fastboot boot magisk_patched_boot.img) is not going anymore.
Does anyone has news for a new magisk version for android 13 (or realui4 - f.03)?
Thanks
