But for your information, the new policy from xiaomi has restricted user from flashing using miflash..you will need an authorized mi account to do that and by the way, xiaomi never authorize any mi account for the moment..and i think they will never do that..
I'm ****ed up with xiaomi phone..this is the last time i will buy from them

I think you don't understand the situation here..sorry
And I think you never face the hardbrick on new product phone from xiaomi..the situation was not the same as 3-4 years ago..they have come with a new policy on their product that you will never get to flash your xiaomi phone using miflash without an authorized mi account that they never give to us..

I have mention earlier in the first post that I can only boot into edl mode that sure have to go through the mi auth thing..the problem is my mi account doesn't have authorization so I cannot proceed through the mi flash using edl mode..
I don't know who the one is confused here?

A soft brick can be fixed manually by flashing fastboot ROM via Mi Flash Tool (of course you will need Bootloader unlocked first). But in your case, it is a Hard Brick and to fix this, well you need to take it to the Customer Care/Service Centre. You can't fix a Hard Brick without experience. I also dunno how to fix Hard Brick.

you need authorized mi account or ufi dongle

I have once experience of hardbrick xiaomi phone 3 years ago that is my redmi note 3 pro..~replying with this phone~?
But that time is when we can flash xiaomi phone without authorized mi account, in that case it was not so hard..just boot into edl mode & flashing via miflash..
But now the situation has change, xiaomi has came up with a new policy that flashing through edl mode must have with an authorized mi account that not all user get that authorized thing..so the situation got too complicated now

It is not easy I found the test points in youtube under the black plastic on the right, and when you mount it back the glue will stick again? Very difficult to open all the new phones.... and with the authorized account stuff ... not good
So you short the pins after battery disconnection and when you load the fastboot rom and try to flash it is it asking for authorized account, is that correct?

Trust me, the device even after it is fully wiped with TWRP or SP Flash Tool will still remember the previous owner's password. I wiped and flashed the global stable for about a few times now and somehow the device still remembers my account, prompting me to enter my password. Maybe you can find a way to bypass the setup wizard or something. Or maybe you just disable Wi-fi at the start of the setup wizard, that may work.
Yeah buddy...same to me..firstime turn off wifi when i setup...but whenbi insert sim card...my phone always remember find device...

Deleted my mi account without signing out from mobile

I Decided to DELETE(via browser) my Mi Account and create a new one to avoid any hassles while unlocking my bootloader by MI UNLOCK(with the idea of creating a fresh mi acc) . But unfortunately I realized I didn't log out from the deleted mi account in my REDMI NOTE 4. And i can't factory reset my phone since it asks me the password for a mi account that does not exist.
I tried every solution the internet had to offer me.... But Nothing helped me.
And I came to know that RedmiNote4 cannot be booted into EDL mode(emergency download Mode) via fastboot method.
My Bootloader is still locked and I don't a mi account to apply for unlocking the BL.
And here I am.. Hoping XDA is the ONE....
I Don't want to boot edl mode by TEST POINT METHOD cuz my mobile is months old... Help me out.

Mi Account is on the persist partition. So can't be removed forcefully.
You can try to do this with Mi Flash. It will install a fresh recovery ROM from scrap.
But if doesn't help, then I'm afraid you are left with a paperweight.
The only solution that comes to mind is, to make a Mi Account with the same e-mail or phone number and than try again.
If above don't work, then contact the service centre.

I know it works fine. You mentioned it earlier. I'm just suggesting you methods to remove it or gain access either way to your account. If its working fine and you can bear with it, then its ok.
The problem will arise when you will either try to sell it or format it.

Hi there, if you are still facing this problem i have the 100% right solution.
just send a mail to your country customer service center mentioning your problem.
Describe them you deleted the account.
Attach some screenshots with them.
But If your service center replies that they can not do anything for you don't lose hope.
send a mail to Malaysia Xiaomi service center "[email protected]"
and global service center mail: [email protected]
I contacted with Indian service center they could not / did not want to help me out.
But Hong Kong and Malaysia service center replied me quickly and provided me the solution.
I am not sure which among the 3 worked: Malaysia or Hong-Kong or Global but it worked.
Have some patience. It took 4 days for me.

Help on unlocking bootloader, RN4 Snapdragon

Hi there, so recently I bought a Redmi Note 4x from a Chinese seller in an online shopping store on our country.
I opened it up to see MIUI 8 but all in Chinese, though I managed to get it to English. Got it upgraded (OTA) to MIUI 9 and 10 global stable.
When I try to unlock the bootloader (new method), I always get error 20091 on Mi Unlock Status, even though my account has been binded to my phone.
I even tried Mi Unlock tool, but it returns an error after hitting 99% *see attachment (63)*.
I'm really puzzled by this since I just found out the phone wasn't an official global version. (Thru xiaomi product verification) so I decided to try and do something about it. I even tried shifting from Global stable to Global developer, still no luck, the same errors appear on Mi Unlock status and Mi Unlock app.
I even went as far as disassembling the phone and forcing it into EDL test point mode, and then flashing global developer fastboot rom via MiFlash as stated on this guide https://c.mi.com/thread-1479882-1-0.html but still I cant unlock my bootloader and the same problems appear.
UPDATE: I also tried using an unofficial unlock tool (which made my shift from global stable to global dev possible) but the xiaomi unlock server returns me error 20038 *see attachment (64)*
I really need some help since I want to unlock its bootloader and mod this phone.
Ps. btw, I even tried using different Mi Unlock tool version, but still got the same set of problems.

I'm even surprised it didnt work....maybe it has something to do with my hardware itself. I do think my hardware isnt made by xiaomi, since when I opened it up, only thing I saw (that i think made by xiaomi) is the battery....does it ring any bells?
Did you solve the problem? I have a Redmi Note 8 and the xiaomi server is responding with the same code:/

Error 20091 on Mi Unlock Status was a cause of the situation that your phone was binded to another Mi Account (probably the first owner of your phone if you bought it on the cheap). This altogether explains why I have that weird chinese error with something like a Mi Account ID in the error message in Mi Unlock. Error 20038 is also the same problem in the case of the XiaoMi Unlock Tool unfortunately.
The only way to resolve this would be to ask the previous owner of the phone to unbind the phone from his/her Mi Account and then trying to bind again, at least that's what I read on Mi Community Forums (Reference: https://in.c.mi.com/thread-1731805-1-0.html)
I also have error 20091 on my phone now.... trying to unlock the bootloader.
Really hoping to see ways to solve it.
Hello. I have a Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon 64 GB which I bought used and the last user didn't log out before doing a fabric restoration and I cannot unlock the bootloader and I get an Error 20038 in XiaoMiTool-V9.11.10 (Error 20091 on Mi Unlock).
I have downloaded mido_global_images_8.12.20_20181220.0000.00_7.0_global_3947ba5143.tgz (mido_developer_fastboot), modded rawprogram0.xml, added persist.img, entered in EDL mode (with testpoint) and flashed and when starts for the first time i get a message that says "This device is locked" and "Activate this device" but I have not the original account used to bind it.
Then, now I am in a worst scenario because I didn't get to UBL and I cannot use it with MIUI. Now it is a bricked device.
Any idea of how I can get out of this situation?
Thank you very much

I think the best course of action here is to ask the person whom you bought the phone from for help. If you are from Philippines and bought RN4X from Lazada on some cheap deals, then you've got a big problem returning it nor getting help from the seller.

Flashing stock ROM for Mi A3 from EDL mode

Hi,
The Xiaomi Mi A3 is an Android One phone, is an authorized Xiaomi account necessary to flash the official ROM from EDL mode when the bootloader is locked?
The Mi A1 and A2 / Lite phones also Android One, don't require an authorized account in the same case, what's the difference with the Mi A3, perhaps the elf programmer file?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
The problem is, i had never enable USB debugging. So no tool seems to be working.
The issue occured when i received an OTA update for Android 10 and my phone went into restart mode.
There it got stuck on the fastboot screen.
I dont know if this occured due to it having being connected to charger at that point of time.
Anyways, is there any alternate option considering the USB debugging is not enabled and neither is the bootloader unlocked.

Do you use MiFlash to flash Miui stable ROM?

If he answers, he's not dead.
Try using the "clean all and lock" option. Don't worry about the lock.
I have a problem, I cannot flash for myflash, nor for twrp (persistent mounted error and unable to decryot FBE device) PE (assigned logical partition error. Restart the recovery before installing an OTA update) and it does not recognize the internal storage , I think the a and b slots were closed although I'm not sure, because I can still enter fastboot and I can flash recoverys and I can use my flash and it flashes without errors but it does not start the phone, remaining in booloop, I already tried for edl and I got the same result, sambie was flashed with unlocktool tool and same result (bootloop) questions,
1: how can the persis partition be recovered?
2: how to recover internal storage partition?
this happened to me going from evolution x to pixel experience.
I really need your support, there will be a thread, of lost pesis but really no one has answered me.
thanks friends
If there are more serious problems and you need to restore your phone to its factory default state, use MiFlash with the "clean all and lock" option.
Don't worry about unlocking delays. Unlocking will be immediate.
As before, you use miflash_unlock to unlock, with the understanding that it will allow you to unlock immediately.
This option puts your phone in its factory default state.
Edit:
Often the "clean all" option is sufficient, so you don't have to unlock your phone afterwards. But if the problems are serious, I prefer the highest restoration.
If you cannot help him stop beating around the bush and trying to troubleshoot when you know nothing about the bypass..
I'm here for help. Read carefully... It's for Everyone.
Every NOTE series device needs authentication to flash Stock Fastboot ROM which only mi Service Centre can do.
You cannot bypass the authentication since there's no firehose file available yet for Note 10 Series.
My phone hard bricks every other day as i try to boot so many sgSi every day.. And i recover it everytime.
The trick is to use MI FLASH old version from 2017 (Mi_Flash_20170425) only. Make sure Qualcomm drivers are properly installed.
After extracting fastboot ROM, place the ROM Folder in C drive and rename. The folder should look like this..
mojito_in_global_images_V12.0.4.0.RKGINXM
Now connect phone using fastboot.. Select Clean All in MI Flash TOOL.. Refresh and load the Folder from C drive,
Then click FLASH... Wait for 755 secs. DEVICE will boot automatically to MIUI.

I think your device is not bricked you have just forget your Mi account that's authorized your device with it. It's just "locked" not "bricked".
You must sign in with your Mi account to unlock your device.
If you forget your email & password then it's your bad habit.
Restore your account with any device on Mi account site.
You can use your phone or email if you had already included in your Mi account.
(USE MI ACCOUNT THAT YOU WERE USE DURING UNLOCKING YOUR DEVICE)
Hope your translater will understand me

I don't have an authorized account
How did you unlock your phone without an authorized account?
I make it with Vietnamese money, Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods, thanks
Apparently we don't understand each other.
Unlocking the bootloader requires the owner to register the phone with Xiaomi. This creates an authorised account. No other unlocking of the bootloader of this phone is known.
You said the phone is unlocked. That means an unlocked bootloader for us.
In this case, an authorised account would have to already exist.
