offline license missing problem - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hey everyone,
at first sorry for my bad english!
I have a X96 (16/2GB Version) Android TV Box with the S905X chipset.
For this box it gives many roms and i tested many roms.
The problem in all roms is the same when i need the prime video app.
I download a video to watch it offline...... the download ends perfectly and i shutdown the box.
Then i start the box at the offline place and will watch the video.
It shows an exclamation mark with the message offline license missing!
Please, has anyone a solution or is it unpossible to watch offline content from prime video on an android tv box?
Greetz!

Thus will probably be to do with widevine DRM, have you tried my ATV rom?, you would have to install the mobile version of prime on it, I don't have prime so I cant test myself

Hi!
Today i have tested your linked app. Thanks to this!
Unfortunately that was not the solution.
After Download the video i shutdown the box. Then, when i´m offline i start the box and pen prime video. I go to my videos and it shows my download. When i open it, it shows the same problem:
"drm failure
a problem with your download video
offline_license_missing"
Have you another idea? I have flash your rom with burning tool and the standard flash options.
Have other people the same problem or i am the only one? Is it possible to look offline videos in the prime video app with an s905x box?
*OK, in the last 5 minutes, i have tested several scenarios. I have download a video and then i shut off wifi.
Then i restart the box. After that i go to the prime app and can play the offline video.
At second i have shutdown the box and start it again. After that i can play the video offline.
And at least i shutdown the box an disconnect the power adapter. THAT´S THE POINT! After that, i can´t play the video. It shows the drm failure.
Give it hope to solve this problem or is it unpossible?

[Q] Video Screenshot app

I'm looking for an app similar to screenshots but for video for instructional videos and such that will record what I'm doing on screen. any help would be awesome
Hmm.. hope you get a good reply, it'd be interesting to try out!
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2
I did a google search and found this app....haven't tried it though
http://www.android-markets-info.com/helpful-tools/android-screen-video-capture
I also see one in Google Market...but says it doesnt work with Tegra 3...I'd watch that cause eventually he will update it for Tegra 3
There is an app called "MyMobiler"...He just did an Android update, but the Prime needs to be rooted (and I am not). It will put the Prime screen on your computer monitor, and you can control it with your mouse....and anything you can do on the prime (including copy/paste, etc) can be done from the computer....With that, you could use your computer capture app to capture that portion of the screen. I used to use it with my Win 6.5 phone and took some videos with it. Hopefully the anroid version will work.
The website for that is:
http://www.mymobiler.com
Good luck

Cant play HTML5 videos.

Can you guys play HTML5 youtube videos from the youtube desktop page on your phone? I've been trying on Chrome but I cant get it to play ever. I get an error message.
I've tried both enabling and disabling HTML5 setting on the youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/html5
Also, I cant play imgur GIFVs. Both on the site or the app. http://i.imgur.com/B1Tq4QQ.gifv I can open that link fine on my computer but not on my phone.
Is it just me or does everyone have this issue?
Im using the Archidroid 4.4.4 kitkat ROM.

Thank you. I'll look into it.
I managed to get the Gifvs to work by wiping the phone and using Archi Kernel instead of Boeffla.

i wrote the differences between full Android and Android TV in the first post. under Note section.
On Nvidia forum, there are many, many posts about HDD and SD cards memory problems on 6.0.
Did you have sorted some Nvidia bugs,or you have just add your work on the top of their sw?
Beside of SD cards which can be used like internal memory,i dont see any point of Nvida 6.0.
Do you see some Nvidia improvements: like picture quality, speed, or something else which is crucial but was not in stock 5.1?
Does your Restyle version have something from Vulcan?
Thwnk you for your reply, Will this ROM have the castng hack as I have read marshmallow is stopping some app from casting ?
I wonder if this firmware support 4K resolution in Netflix and Youtube? As I understand, the full android firmware v2.2 don't support 4K resolution in Netflix and Youtube. Moreover, the wireless mode of the controller works? Because you mentioned the multi touch don't work in your note section in the first post.

I think that full Android 5.1 is the best firmware for SATV and the best firmware in the world with no exception. I have many many Android devices for my work, i'm sure on this.
But if you need a better stock firmware where you can download all apps directly from Google Play StockRestyle is for you.

Maybe i'm not clear, this is the stock firmware + stuff, you can do everything the stock can do + stuff.
If you have a 4k TV and a Netflix 4k account enabled, also on full Android 5.1 you can have 4k with the Netflix Android TV app. In general 4k h265 videos are working very very well with full Android 5.1
Thanks for posting this @zulu99!
As soon as I get my system up and going again I plan on flashing this! Can't wait to see what you did!

Alternatives my friend, just alternatives, because i think that the user must be able to choose and not be a monkey in the hands of big companies.
I like when users are the real owner of their devices, and i hate when companies force users in a direction or in another at expense of all others companies and developers.
The Root is the first thing to be the real owner of your device, because i don't think you can be sure when another person have the keys of your house.
It's just a metaphor, but in the digital world, the users without root can be forced in the directions that big companies want.

Amazon Prime Video working on Mi Box 3 running Oreo OTA Update

I just got the Oreo update on my Mi Box 3 today, so I decided to try get Amazon Prime Video working again. It was a success. Prime videos pay in 1080p with sound. I don't have the Mi Box connected to my 4K TV, so I am not able to test it for 4K. Using Amazon Prime Video for Android TV version 4.7.9.
The Amazon Prime Video for Android TV in the Google Play store still does not list as compatible. But the sideloaded app installed without any issues.
Search Google for "4.7.9-googleplay-armv7a" and the APK is easily found.
If the link makes the post. I located the APK here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/8qtsaa/prime_video_android_tv_479googleplayarmv7a_apk/
FYI Amazon prime video was already working running on version 4.5.17 last month running the marshmallow rom. . version 4.5.17 had some random video freeze issue.
few days before the Oreo update I was able to run v4.7.9 with no issues. Random freeeze issue was fixed.
Good to know. I had given up on ever getting it to run on Android TV version 6.
Hi! I also have android 8.0 on my mibox. I sideloaded the prime video 4.7.9 version for android tv, installed it without any issue, but when I start playing any video I get an error message which says "the video can not be played at this time"
Should I do anything else to get it running?
Thanks!
Solved it with factory reset. 4.7.9 is working.
Only 1080p

Hello [email protected],
I have the same problem like you with my xiaomi mi box 3 and amazon prime video. When you says to dactory reset, it's about the android box or the app ?
I have set the box and the tv in 1080p but i get the same error like you which says "the video can not be played at this time"
Can i have help
Guys I have a problem, I just bought the mi box 3 (international version) with android 6.0.1 and no updates available. I just can't use prime video, it always says "connection error".. I tried 4.7.9, 4.8.69, nvidia, but all giveme the same error.. How can I fix it? My 20 EUR box works just fine, I was expecting great things form xiaomi

You will need to update manually to at least MM 1901 or Oreo 2405. Try first on MM as there is no reverting backward once you are on Oreo.

Disney+ Sound

Not sure if this is the right place but here it goes.
I have both Tanix TX3 mini and TX9 pro
I've installed Disney+ on both but I'm having problems with the sound. Both load and can stream but there is no sound on most of the stuff (seems like newer stuff like starwars stuff, avengers etc.) But older things like early season of "Hannah Montana" stream fine. Strange thing is if you download the episode and then play back it's fine.
I've tried virtually all combinations of audio settings and no joy.
Doing some searching I think I saw something on the lines of its to do with the audio they use when streaming, needs a Dolby chip.
Anyone come across this? Or know a fix?
Or even recommend an Android box that works with Disney+
Thanks
Found this information on another site, seems similar to what your asking ! A long shot but worth a try !!!
Good Luck
Disney+ issues:
I've noticed on some of these boxes, videos won't play without having to first click the download button and then stopping download for it to play a video.
A way to fix that would be doing the following down below in Magisk. Another way is using Google Chrome, but before loading the web page, click the menu from top right hand side (3 dots) and click check box "Desktop site" to view in Google Chrome.
Open Magisk Manager and then go to the downloads section from the top left menu, and in the top right corner in the search bar type liboemcrypto disabler then download and install that module. It will require a reboot after you install the module, so please do so and reboot.
Now you should be able to play videos without having to first click download button and stopping it to play a video.
Remember this isn't the case with all boxes and I don't make the Disney+ app. This is just things I have encountered and found a solution to.

maybe your box doesnt support the encoders/decoders for the audio or not supported codecs ?
Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work.
Currently looking for a box that will play Dolby stuff built in.
