How to use default video player instead of website video player - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I have been using UC browser for very long time to watch online videos. Uc has its default browser which is very handy to use.
Now the India banned the UC browser, its time to switch.
Now i am switched opera, the main issue is that when i play the website video it uses its own video player istead of default opera video player.
How can i use the website video to different video player, tried every browser firefox, dolphine, brave etc. However everyone is playing the same website video player which is very difficult to use.
So please suggest me how to do so. Used the mx decoder method by making it default also but its not working.
Waiting for someone to guide this poor soul toward the heaven....

Hi. You'll need to be more specific. Online videos as in what exactly. Embedded videos on websites or video streaming sites.
Can you give some example of the online videos for us to refer?
Personally i use samsung internet, with its useful built in ad blocking plugins..
You can try to check your browser settings. Here is mine on samsung internet.

Thanks for your reply,
I think i am talking about embedded videos, However, the Samsung internet works after applying this smart video assistant.
Can you suggest some more type of browsers having the same feature??

trying to veiw streaming video

Does anyone know how to stream video from sites that are either in flv for divix format? I've been trying to get streaming video from say, watchseries.eu, to work but its a no go for me. I'm not sure if this is a limitation of mobile browsers as its the same way with my android phone. I would think streaming media of various formats should be something that is supported as these devices are portable media centers. Is there perhaps a downloaded browser on the market that works better for streaming media content or an app that will capture a stream and play it? I'm currently using the stock os, stock browser, and have tried the beta release of chrome but still no luck.

The Chrome beta is crap when it comes to flash (if you read up on it, it's not supporting flash at all), and won't help you. So's the stock browser.
Dolphin HD plays some flash, also Skyfire will play some... but there will be streams that you just won't be able to play on the TP.
I tried the pilot of Vampire Diaries and it worked...
I think it might be hit or miss with the actual server that is hosting the stream. I found one for the show I was trying to watch and it loaded. Just left it with the circular loading symbol going and it started about 3-4min later.
I will try a different browser over the weekend and see if there better compatibility.
-Thanks!

Browser connecting to Video Player

Well, Recently I got this app from MiKandi (Porn Market), Dnt judge me ....
I opened the app, there were lots of videos, So I selected a video and I got 2 Options. "Download" and "Watch".
I selected the "Watch" option, and the video was streaming in MX Video Player (My Default Video Player). I Luv this App.
And you guys know that P500 has No Flash Support, So u can't watch the video from the browser or it doesn't give you the advantage to Stream in any video player.
Is there any other non-porn app or Browser where I can stream videos with the video player. I hear this feature is available in Stock Browser of ICS.
Help me out.
Three options,
1. Go back to gb or cm7 for flash
2. Get a new phone, flash works on arm7 ics phones.
3. Get a gf or bf.
1 is the cheapest way, 2 and 3 will drain your wallet pretty fast.
skyfire .........
Go to mx player->settings->general-> untick the first option for play video links.
Better use skyfire on non ics roms or adobe flash player for armv6 ,
Google is your friend

[REQ]Video Player that plays flash/html5 urls

Hello. There's this website I watch TV Shows on, it has every episode in both flash and html5. I'm on ICS 4.0.3 and for some reason the html5 doesn't play in any browser I've tried and the Flash version works kind of well, but it stutters some times.
Anyway, is there any video player where I can browse or paste the link and watch it there? The site requires authentication to view them.
On the iPhone it simply opens it's native video app, much better than to handle the video inside the browser.

Youtube with 720p/1080p?

If some one got working youtube app with hd videos working please share,
I using Boat browser (and flash player on) but in "desktop mode" on YT site some videos works and some don't

With root and titanium backup, I just removed the youtube app that comes with stock.
After that I was able to reinstall youtoube from the playstore, choosing version 5.3
That version plays everything perfectly in HD.

Ok, thanks for the Info I'll check that
Update,
I don't know what is it but when I play video on that Youtube app (v5.3) when I choice HD (and I know in desktop is REAL HD) is streaming poor quality like I don't know... VGA maybe
from CC to HQ is like from very poor quality to poor quality so that was not my point. I want to play 720p or 1080p videos like on desktop
Strange, because I do get pretty good quality, definitely HD (by youtube standards).
Either install flash player and firefox, or dolphin browser and dolphin jetpack or install viral youtube app. Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579795

The viral floating youtube app doesnt support 480p or 1080p because google splits the streams in to. 720p works flawless and it hasnt any great difference with 1080p.
I forgot to ask you what version of android you have, if you have 4.2 jelly bean then adobe's flash player should work with every browser that supports flash playback (like firefox or dolphin). If you re on 4.4 kitkat though you need the hacked flash player as google removed from 4.4 some critical files that the flash player needed.

Yes i have 4.4 CM11 , like I wroted up, the haked flash work like a charm, but I switch to Dolphin browser because Boat browser do not played all hd videos on YT like I was thinking, but Dolphin does. Overall I think that Boat is beter browser than dolphin, faster, lighter and smoother but is something for something, haked flash player support Dolphin and is somthing in that flash code because videos that I can't watch on Boat are smooth playable on Dolphin.

I use firefox as a browser and if i want to watch youtube videos i switch to dolphin. Dolphin is not bad at all, its the only browser at the moment which can play flash videos in 4.4 kitkat with satisfactory results and supports plugins just like firefox.
Try Og YouTube from XDA. It's a modified Youtube APK.
There you can select the resolution like you do in the webplayer.
I'm running it and it works fine.
The only issue is, that you can't log in with your Google account.

Give viral a try. See sig
Use Flashfox or Firefox and download an add-on called youtube center.
For now I using Dolphin with jetpack and moded fplayer, and YT works like on PC no problem with 720/1080p
I dont really get it , why from the first place google messed up the resolutions.
Seriously... Why is this even a problem. Videos from the YouTube app look terrible. Sucks that we have to find a workaround.

I downloaded an older version of YouTube, 4.4 something and it shows HD videos fine.

I'm finally getting full HD with the new YouTube update

Play videos in app instead of browser

Hi,
for some time now basically all browsers switched to integrated video playback and I hate it.
The integrated player is simply said pure ****. Is there a way to disable the HTML5 player and open all videos in websites in a player app (e.g. MX Player)? I watch videos in fullscreen anyway so there is no problem with an app opening instead of this laggy **** player. (Also MX Player can run in Background while playing Youtube for example).

If it's an embedded Youtube video and you have the Youtube app, you can click on the link on the top portion of the video (or click on the Youtube logo) and it will open in the app.
Yeah, but it's not only about YouTube. A lot of news sites I regularly visit have their own videos.
