Slow motion video are not recorded - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Hi there, just bought Redmi note 9 pro global and the I have noticed that the camera in Slow motion 960fps and 240fps are not working:
- 120 fps is working fine : video is correctly saved in gallery
- 240 fps : clicking on button to start it launch record video but after clicking to stop it will save nothing (tested with SD card and with internal storage)
-960 fps clicking on the button will launch the 360 rotation effect on the button but after that nothing happen all is blocked, I must cancel the camera app.
Anyone can help me ?

Same here, global and exact same issues!

I'm on the XIAOMI EU ROM and habe no problems, 240fps is working fine and also saves the video.
Only issue I have is that slowmo recording with 960fps stops after 5 seconds automatically...seems there is a time limit for 960fps, what is really a bit annoying...

FIXED
Problem solved after having spent a long time to grind all the options, it seems that the problem is due to setting an animated wallpaper, indeed when I replace the animated wallpaper by a non-animated background everything is back to normal, now everything works perfectly.

Nice to read that you found the solution.
I'm interested if you still have the problems with 960fps that I'm facing, that the recording on this mode stops automatically after 5 seconds?
Also, the videos with 120fps and 240fps starts the first few seconds in normal speed, before the slowmo begins?

Yes I have the same behaviour you described for 120fps, 240fps, and for 960fps too I think it is normal, because recording with 960fps should be limited to a certain limited time due to size file reasons.

wow bro, you're a genius. solved to me also. Thanks

[Q] Video recording close-up doesn't focus well? (on screen panels)

I tried to record some real time data on some equipment's panel screen today (at work place) using the sgs2 stock camera app video recording..
Many had told me the video recording suppose to have auto focus but the wordings are very blur and I can't identify each words at all during recording and also when playback.
At the end I have to borrow my colleague's iPhone 4 to get the job done, it focus immediately on the screen wordings and appeared clearly..
Normally I never use video recording but now I'm bugged by it lol
Am I doing anything wrong here? I'm using Checkrom 3.1.1 though I doubt they have tweaked anything on the camera app, it looks the same as the stock one.

[Q] Touch-to-Focus while taking video?

Has anyone heard or seen any demos/reviews/preview videos of someone taking a video and re-focusing by touching the screen? Relying on only autofocus on the S2 made many unfocused videos unwatchable.
The One S has it (I played with it), as well as iPhone and the Razr.
YAY! Update:
According to the manual, touch to focus while recording video is confirmed!
5 Select [REC button] to start recording.
●● To change the focus, tap where you want to focus. To
focus on the centre of the screen, select [AF button].
●● To capture an image from the video while recording,
select [STILL SHOT button].
6 Select [REC button] to stop recording.
The video is saved automatically.

Update 2:
On another note, it looks like anti-shake is available for video, too, unless it was a copy/paste mistake from the Photo/Still Camera section of the manual.
Anti-Shake
Activate the anti-shake feature to reduce
blur caused by the device’s vibration or
movement.

On TW ROMs while taking a video? Are we talking ICS? I haven't tried taking a video on a TW ICS ROM yet.
Regarding the S2, I'm not the only one who sees this limitation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541019
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471112
Anyways, I'm concerned because I know stock ICS doesn't do it, so I hope the S3's camera app finally has TOF while videoing.
I flashed to the stock ICS TW ROM and verified that touching the screen while videoing does not allow for Touch-to-Focus, either. There's nothing in the settings to allow it either. When I touch while videoing, it says "Zooming is not supported while recording Full HD Video". When not filming at 1080p, it just zooms instead of focus.
Are you using a custom ROM, 3rd party app, or modified camera.apk?
Yeah I've seen many videos where this was done, Samsung even added automatic face recognition when you take a photo and instantly sends them to all your friends in that photo.
That's all fine and dandy, but sometimes, you want to control where you want to focus. Short of an unfriendly manual focus slider, touch-to-focus is a quick way to kick the focus algorithm in gear.
Relying on the auto focus to adjust itself doesn't work well on the S2. Sometimes it tries to refocus when it's already in focus and everything becomes blurry for the next 2-3 minutes, ruining the video. Happens a lot in low-light conditions (indoor).

I'm talking about the stock camera app. I hope someone can verify if touch focus on the S3 will finally have it.

Slow Motion video not working for me

Made a few test slow motion videos and it seems a bit hit and miss. Some of them just play back at normal speed and a few have a few seconds in the middle of slow motion. For example, last one I did was 17 seconds long:-
0 - 5 seconds - normal speed
5 - 11 seconds - slow motion
11 - 17 seconds - normal speed
Anyone else have this problem?

This is how it works. The phone shoots a slow-mo video file which you can edit after the fact. Just touch the screen to bring up the controls when you play back the slow-mo video from your gallery. You will see an adjustable slider in the bottom. You can drag and move it around to choose which part of the video should be in slow-mo. After you're done editing, touch the three-dot settings on the top-right and choose 'Save slow-mo file'. This will save your final slow-mo video into a new file. You have to do this if you want to share your videos. If you share the original video to another device , it will only play back in normal speed. But the new saved file will play back in all devices as a slow-mo video.
Thanks very much, got them sorted now?

Thanx for this useful tip jamiejako

Hi! I have a problem with that part. When I recorded a video in slow motion in my Mate 10 in HD quality resolution (1080p) it happens that when I SAVE my final slow motion video after editing with the bar, it saves with a resolution of 1072p! Why is that? Anyone has the same problem? Thank you.

Problem with the resolution of a saved slow motion video

Hi! I have a problem with the slow motion videos of my Huawei Mate 10. When I recorded a video in slow motion in my Mate 10 in HD quality resolution (1080p) it happens that when I SAVE my final slow motion video after editing with the bar (three dots --> saving slow motion video -with the selected "slow motion" part), it saves with a resolution of 1072p! Why is that? Anyone has the same problem? Thank you.
TL;DR: Saving a HD slow motion video changes the resolution to 1072p.

Hi. Update: my mother has the SAME phone and it also happens with the one she has. It seems like it's a Huawei problem, not a problem of my specific device. Have you tried to do what I said? Please anyone try it and tell me if it happens to you as well. I bought my device in Colombia.

Slow Motion doesn't work

The slow motion function does not record on pocophone f1, the screen is always black! I enclose the video to show. The problem is present with 120-240-960 FPS, black screen and video that stops after 3 seconds alone. Tested in version 8.11.15 / 8.11.22 / 23 / 8.11.29 / 30 / 8.12.6. never solved. Please help me

Check my video on google drive. Screen is "black" or with low brightness, and video stops after above 3 secs
Same problem with mine too ..
Slow motion video bugs
I am also facing the same problem....
The Screen is "black" or with "low brightness" like recording a video in night without light..
Even if i on my Torch i can't see the Scene (object) properly...... Very low Brightness in Slow Motion (on Full Brightness in Mobile).
Same thing happens in all fps (960 240 120).
Fix this Bug as soon as possible.
So we can Enjoy this Feature in our Poco F1 Phone.
Thanks & Regards.
