Development of roms kernel and mods for redmi note 9 pro curtana - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

I am just want to know why the development of custom rom kernel is not going on for our redmi note 9 pro curtana because its about 2 months now and there is no twrp that fully working and there is nothing much custom rom available for redmi note 9 pro why? Xda developers

Lol, same question I posted earlier today on another board.
I wonder, if the Note 9s/Pro isn't really attractive for users?
Or is it more difficult to build custom ROMs with android 10?
Or other reasons?

I think they have a problem with the kernel
Who are trying to fix it
But for twrp, mauronofrio has developed it as a test, which I believe will come in a stable version in the coming days.
I hope that in this post, developers will give us more information

I mean if it is easy develop it yourself. We have functional recovery which can flash roms. What are you gonna do more in recovery?

I started to regret to buy 9s because it has no stable aosp

Mokee marshmallow and CyanogenMod 13 are stable, I like slim rom. I have come full circle back to global dev mm.
Fortunately we got a separate thread between Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon version and the other Redmi Note 3 Mediatek version in XDA, so there will be easier for you to choose what ROM u wanna install on ur device and just make sure that u are in right thread.
We got a plenty custom ROM based on MM as well as Nougat and we all know that Nougat is still in alpha or beta stage so you may come across with particular bugs that came from the device cos we got some different versions like fingerprint sensor, camera, led etc, but in MM we have almost rock stable build, choose wisely.
And another thing that u wanna note that actually we have two version ot Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon, they are Kenzo (which ppl mainly use this device) and another one with codename Kate (special edition). What we look here, that Kenzo has many dev support whereas Kate doesn't and you may end up with bootloop if u flash Kenzo's ROM over Kate, but sometimes it will work sometimes ot doesn't. Also if we compare side by side between Kate and Kenzo, we look that Kate is bit taller than Kenzo, thanks to additional 4G bands.
That's all I think and I hope you are satisfied with ur decision like I did.
Last but not least, WELCOME. THANKS.

Realme 6 Kernal updates...

Will Realme release source code for Realme 6? Thoughts....
Seems it was released two months ago
github.com/realme-kernel-opensource/realme6-kernel-source
Ain't anyone developing custom rom for it?
Why isn't any one making custom ROMs for realme 6??
The redmi note 8 pro with the same chipset as realme 6 is very much a head in terms of custom ROMs and custom recoveries, developers have been doing so much hard work to bring custom ROMs to redmi note 8 pro as redmi devices especially with mediatek chipsets are tuff to get unbricked if something wrong due to the wierd EDL mode in their devices, compared to that realme devices don't have such user restrictions when compared to redmi devices, many people are eagerly waiting for custom ROMs for realme 6,please look into this thread, and can any one tell me at which time we will be seeing custom ROMs for this device.. thank you

Updates & ROMs

Why xiaomi didn't update the Redmi Note 9s to MIUI 12 yet?
For instance, my old Redmi Note 7 already updated.
And why there aren't any really stable custom ROM for it yet? I remeber when i got both my Redmi Note 4x and my Redmi Note 7, their XDA forum already had plenty of options of Official Custom ROMs to choose and i am not seeing it with this phone.
I've also noticed that at least 2 ROMs had their support cancelled last month. Should we worry about those facts?
AOSP by sooti is stable enough for me.

Redmi Note 9S testing has not started and MIUI 12 will come in september for this device maybe.
Talking about custom ROMs the development for this device has just started and all custom ROMs will be available soon.
There is Unified AOSP builds are there for Curtana called "miatoll" builds. Try it.

Currently no. Because there is no working TWRP for K40 Pro.
You can get around flashing without TWRP, but the issue is, it's a whole lot of work to make a kernel on A11 shipped devices with the GTK 1.0 and GTK 2.0 devices, which must launch an Android Common Kernel and store drivers in a separate partition, loaded after the first boot process of the generic implementation. Plus the 888 people don't really want to support (it's kind of a portable oven, throttles like crazy, and just isn't a good example of a Qualcomm product). Sorry to disappoint. I sold my K40 Pro Plus for these reasons. Only OnePlus 9 Pro seems to have custom kernels and ROMs, unfortunately. So I also talked to the dev that built the first custom kernel on that device; he said it took 3 months to inline all the drivers and make them functional (that's what you have to do on the new Google format), and honestly, most devs don't want to spend that kind of time on a kernel (hey, most of us have jobs).
