Use ONLY the Back Camera on Android 10 - Android

I need to use ONLY the Back Camera on my phone. The front camera is broken (dead hardware) and I need the Android 10 (Lineage 17.1 on Moto G3 Turbo XT1556) use and SEE ONLY the Back Camera as Unique Hardware on the system to take photos and record videos and this for default. An APP to do that will not solve my needs because the Internet Banking APP always asks for the NATIVE front/selfie Camera for access the account services and I can't because my camera is broken and I need INSIDE the Kernel a change that when every APP calls for the front/selfie Camera, it REDIRECT automatically to the BACK Camera.
Someone could help me???

[Q] Change front camera as default camera

Hello
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII, Android 4.3, rooted.
My Problem: I destroyed my back camera a few days ago. But i like to use WhatsApp Web... For WhatsApp Web is a QR-Code scan required but in the app i can't change to the front camera.
Is there any way to change android system values that WhatsApp thinks that the front camera is the back camera ? If i can use the front camera in WhatsApp i could scan the QR Code
Just replace the main camera, takes 5 minutes and costs £15 from eBay.

Can I switch the main camera?

Hi!
My HTC M8's rear camera in on short cirtuit (I suppose, because as soon as I open it the image starts to vibe, and the phone makes a strange BZZZZ never heard before).
But my front camera works fine.
For some application, like Whatsapp Web or Google Cardboard, I need to scan a QR code... and it's impossible, because the rear camera can't focus, and I can't switch camera from the applications.
Is there any way to set the front camera as default one?
Thanks a lot!

Endoscope as internal camera

Hello,
I have bought an endoscope for my Android smartphone. It is connected via USB. And it requires to install a dedicated app. I would like to know if there is any way to use it as and internal camera. I mean, something that allows to use front camera, back camera or endoscope camera when trying to record a video with the original system camera app.
Any idea?
Thanks

[SEARCH] Camera app using wide and normal

Hi everyone,
I (ecological reason) bought a Fairphone 4.
It's really not what I expect from a phone so I am looking to update some apps.
The main issue I get is this one on Camera.
Fairphone 4 doesn't allow to record video from the wide angle camera... Yeah... WTF !!!
It seems to be described on the sepcs, but why ??? How a camera can be reduced to not recording video ?
My old LG G6 does it with wide camera.
Whatever, I tried to use other apps as Open Camera, HD Camera and others but I doesn't find a way to switch, even for picture mode, from the main camera to the wide one.
Do you have any idea of which app I may use ?
Thank you
buy that phone yesterday, have the same problem! By any chance, do you find some solution? Also i want to change from defalutOS to calyxos, but again - big issue inside camera.

USB Camera/Capture as default camera hardware?

Hi all,
I've got a Lenovo Pad Pro 11 on which I've installed ZUI 14 (Android 12) and have also got it fully rooted with boot loader unlocked.
I have a usb video capture device which I use as a USB Camera to stream from my PC, and I want to make it the default camera device when I launch the camera app, so when I go on live in insta or TikTok or twitch for example, it's recognised as the default camera rather than using the onboard camera from the tablet. I understand this may involve some system file tweaking but I find it a bit too complicated to understand.
Could anyone provide some guidance or tips on how to do this?
Thank you
Unfortunately, this is near impossible (unless modifying the source and compiling it yourself) due to Androids camera system where every camera has its own id (0 for the primary rear camera and 1 for the primary front camera).
What you would need is to modify the source so that the OTG Camera is emulated as an integrated camera. I am not an expert in that field and can as such not give directions on how to do that.
I would recommend starting by reading the Android Source documentation.
Good luck and let us know if you find a solution.
