How to show more quick launch icons when you drag the menu down? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Odd thing I noticed. If I have the screen resolution at the default FHD+ there are 6 icons at the top when I drag down the notification panel. If for whatever reason I put the phone in power save mode and have the screen at HD+, when I pull the notification panel down I have like 8 icons.
This is just he normal single finger drag down, not both that shows ALL the icons that you can display.
Is there a way by default to add another icon or two when in a higher resolution mode?
Thanks,
-Nigel

Cookie Home Tab Qs

When the today screen is set to slide away, is there anyway you can get rid of the box that you touch to bring it back, so just a blank space that retrcts the slider.
you could find the icon and replace it with a clear image, perhaps?
search for transparent retractable slider. cab..........it should do some job for you
Here you go, one will remove background and the other removes it all together.

[Q] How to display notification screen without tapping status bar?

How can I display the notification screen without tapping on the top status bar?
Meaning, I have big fingers, so it's difficult to tap the thin top status bar to display the notifications screen (the screen that shows connection status, new text message notices, etc).
So, I am looking for a way to create a shortcut that will display the notification screen without the hassle of trying to tap on little status bar to display it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Click to collapse
+1 I want that for a long long time and i have no clue how to make that shortcut.
In Android we can do that but in winmo i don't know.
Ok,
found a solution, install mortscript and then just run the attach script
you can assign this script to a shortcut in screen or assign it to a hardware key
this script is only a mouse click simulation. if you change the coordinates you can point the shortcut to perform a click in a different screen location
done
CHT has the widgets for notifications. You should try it, if haven't yet.

[Q] "Upside-Down" Notification Panel?

Are there any mods out there (and if not, how hard would it be for someone to write one) that vertically flip the orientation of the Notification Panel?
Right now, the typical panel pulls down with a swipe, showing the Toggles first (if your rom has 'em), then the notifications, stacked in a list, last first. What I'd like is to be able to have the panel swipe up from the bottom of the screen, with the toggles at the bottom of the panel and then the notifications stacked in a list, with the last one at the bottom. In essence a completely vertical mirror of how the panel operates.
The closest I've been able to find is with PA, but it requires cranking the DPI on your device so that fonts are tiny, and the panel doesn't span the screen completely, it's just a little popup window with tiny icons. What I'm looking for is something that's perfectly identical to the standard panel, just upside-down.
Is this possible? Has anyone out there written a mod that does this? It seems like such an obvious hack (especially in light of 4.7" phones), yet I can't seem to find anything.

Is there away to keep the portrait window max out like this and then lock it up?

Everytime I close the game up. It reset it back to default window size.
Also why some of the portrait games won't resize on the max out screen? Snapshot below.
Using 3.0.206.
I know there is a bug on the hidden bar. Does that on some of the games. Even at full screen. Hidden bar will leave a black bar behind.

Changing color, activation of Notifications?

On the S6, when I swipe down from the top of the screen, the giant notification window shows up. This is marginally annoying normally since my home page background is 14% neutral gray, but EXTREMELY annoying at night when I'm reading on the tablet and accidentally cause the notifications to display... My bookreader is a dark-mode setup, and the notifications are blinding white when they display (yes, the screen brightness is about 10-12, but compared to the reader it's blinding)...
I've currently got the tablet in Night mode, which makes the giant notification thing black, so it's not as annoying, but it still keeps getting displayed 'cause of hand position and tablet orientation. And Night mode isn't great for "normal" use so I much prefer something that'll actually help with the notification display.
SO....
Is there a way, even if I have to use a different launcher (I'll need to know which one) to CHANGE the background color of the notification thing (and hopefully the navigation bar background)? I tried Nova Launcher, and it has things that SEEM like they should do something, but they don't change the huge white blob that appears when I swipe down.
Is there a way to CHANGE how notifications get displayed - turn OFF the swipe down from the top of the screen and use something else? If so, how do I set this up? "Do Not Disturb" mode doesn't seem to help.
Is there a way to COMPLETELY turn OFF notifications so swiping does nothing. I can't FIND anything in settings, but I figure I'm missing the "turn off notifications" switch.
I'm also interested in what answers may come. For me it's just about the color; even though I'm dark-themed everywhere using "Swift Installer - Themes & color engine", it doesn't theme the notification panel. Since the theme works everywhere else (even on system apps), this makes me think that 'notifications' is a special case, for some reason.
Curious to hear from others.
Have you tried QuickStar inside of GoodLock app from the Samsung Store? there are lots of mods you can do in there like change the color of the notification pull down.
Thanks. That works pretty well. I can change all the colors on the notification so at least the notification is a black background.
Status bar at the bottom is still bright but that's smaller than the big notification thing. Definitely makes me miss the old Android 6 thing where it just put a couple tiny icons at the top and I had to specifically hit them to see notifications. Never accidentally opened the notifications.
Is there any way to CHANGE the activation for the notifications so they DON'T show up when I don't want them to?
