the use of the maximum frequency is now distributed in the other frequencies making a better frequency scaling

Ahh okay. Thanks

Need help! I replaced these files, gave them proper permissions, was using solid explorer, but now my cpu frequencies are stuck at full speed! Literally every cpu is running in full speed! I checked in armory crate too, cpu speed was full, I used profiler to see some graphs and each and every core is at full speed!
Maybe I did something wrong! Is there anyone who can guide me step by step!?
Edit : okay so its working fine now! After rebooting I waited for like a few seconds and everything was back to normal!
Btw you did an excellent job! I had that problem where my phone restarts due to high temperatures! Its solved now! As long as I play any game with temp set to default in armory crate! Seriously thank you so much!

won't let me edit the file ..

As for me works quite good. Just copy&paste files and reboot Phone.

My phone wouldn't do a copy and paste either. I just used TWRP.

Maybe someone doesn't have the original files?

Will this work on Kirisakura Kernwl 2.7.5? Thanks

Works like magic. The temperature and battery life is equivalent to what A9 had. Amazing work.

[MOD/TOOL] *The Configurator 2.5. sense/aosp- I/O Scheduler - Undervolt*Updated 10/4

The Configurator 2.5 Sense/AOSP**
The easiest way to configure your device !!
Works on aosp except a few sysctl settings.
These settings will be there even after a reboot, and it can be turned off via the script.
Settings:
* Set CPU Governor (This lets you change you cpu governor, it displays what governors are available)
* Set Max CPU Frequency (This allows you to overclock your cpu if your kernel can do that)
* Set Min CPU Frequency (Minimum cpu frequency)
* Undervolt CPU (Thanks Viperboy) See Notes below
* Sick Tweaks (See notes below)
* Enable/Disable Virtuous OC (Obvious turns virtuous oc on and off)
* Configure Virtuous OC (Set governor and cpu frequencies for awake and sleep)
* Turn Off CPU Configurator (Turns everything off)
* Adjust LCD Capacitive Buttons Brightness (Allows you to dim and brighten the buttons on the phone)
* Optimize Mounts (Mounts /system /data /cache using ext4 settings, speeds up read/write speeds)
* Enable/Disable SD Read Ahead (Speeds up sdcard read/write)
* Backup Apps (Backs up apps to sdcard)
* Restore Apps (Restores backed up apps)
* Backup Configurator Settigs (Backs up configurator and virtuous settings to sdcard)
* Restore Configurator Settings (Restores backed up configurator and virtuous settings)
* Enable/Disable Cleanup (Clears dalvik, cache, sdcard/trash and sdcard/LOST.DIR on boot)
* Set I/O Scheduler (Changes your i/o scheduler see notes below)
Usage:
Code:
Open Terminal
Type "su"
Type "cc"
Both without the quotes
Turning this off requires a reboot to return the settings back to normal, it can be rebooted from this script.
Settings are remembered so they will be on after a reboot too. No need to set them again after rebooting.
See Post #2 for Changelog
Post ideas for stuff you'd like to see added or any problems/questions you may have.
Devs feel free to add into your roms, just give credit.
NOTES:
Sick Tweaks: These settings speed up the system dramatically. Improves responsiveness, speed, and genearally makes everything more snappy. It changes quite a few settings including tweaking the virtual machine, kernel, and filesystem. The settings can be found in post #2, it is a copy of the script. I can't explain each setting but if you are curious about one ask here or do what i did and look it up on google.
I/O Scheduler: This can speed up read and write on your device. each kernel has their own set of io schedulers but the script displays the ones in your kernel. You current io scheduler will have [ ] around it. To learn more about io schedulers check this out:
http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/6931
I use either sio or noop, seem to be the fastest
Undervolting: Your kernel must support this feature. If it doesn't the script will not run it so don't worry if you don't know if you have it or not. But if you want to see if you have it go to:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq
And look for a file called vdd_levels, if it's there you can use the setting, if not you need a kernel that supports it like Ziggy's or Tiamat's.

-Added Sampling Rate
-v1.1
-Added Virtuous OC
-Added Config for Virtuous OC (can be used if you already have virtuous oc installed)
-Added Ram Optimization Enabler
Notes:
-v2.0
AppsBak works manually i am fixing the auto backup but for now you can make the backup manually then update it through the configurator. Option #16 will update the backup on your sdcard reflect current apps.
LCD Capacitive brightness will make your buttons on the bottom brighter or darker. Settings limit is 50 = 100% brightness 0 = OFF.
Cleanup will delete all caches and cleanup dalvik. Will be done at each boot when enabled.
-v1.2.2
Fixed up sampling rate settings to work with virtuous oc, now has option to set sleep sampling and wake sampling rates.
-v1.2
Includes NEW virtuous oc daemon that uses the second core. It changes the governor and max/min frequencies so the second core can be on all the time without killing the battery.
Added Sampling rate but it can't be used with virtuous oc, because when the phone sleeps virtuous changes the governor which changes the sampling min/max meaning the settings you apply will not work. Conservative sampling min is 200000 and ondemand min is 10000 just as an example. So your settings get cancelled out. I may be able to make it work but its gonna take a little time. Currently the script will ask if you want to disable virtuous to edit the sampling rate. That way it will stick. Maybe in v 1.3 ??
Added the ability to enable the second core.
Added the option to remount partitions noatime
Added sdcard read ahead enabler.
-v1.1
Virtuous OC can be enabled and disabled through the script and can be configured with the same script. Just run cc in terminal. Settings are still active after rebooting. It can also configure virtuous oc if you have it installed or it comes with your rom.
Ram Optimization using juwe11's script can also be enabled through the script.
First.
Gunna try this.
Thank you!
I will try and report back.

And laptop_mode does work on android because android is a linux os. The phone does have an hdd as well. If it didn't function it wouldn't be there.

It should, i dont have the kernel to try it. I am incorporating virtuous oc into this now, will be posting it after some testing.
Now includes Virtuous OC daemon, can be enabled and disabled through the script. And it can be configured with it. See OP for details.

Tbh it's probably the rom. Synergy is an awesome rom but has alot going on. It's a good possibility thats causing the problems. I have steel rom and no errors. I'm not saying to switch roms this just may not be compatible with that one.
Can I control Dual-Core with this?

This only works on Gingerbread, not anything else. We are still working on finding alternative tweaks for ICS and JBThis is a MOD to boost the performance of the Adreno 205 GPU in the Xperia Play. (This mod should also work on other Adreno devices (Adreno 205+) and whilst some people have had some success I cannot confirm which devices other than the Play it works with)
This mod is a joint collaboration/venture of me and CosmicDan. However, as of version 0.2 CosmicDan has unfortunately left the Xperia 2011 range for better things. I wish him every success in the future.
CosmicDan was able to find a variant of the 'adreno_config.txt' file that contains settings that should work on our device. Since finding this we have found numerous combinations of settings that increase the performance of our chips. See below.
What does it do?
The configuration file consists of multiple options, each which do their very own unique 'tweaking' to the way the GPU performs. One of the most notable options we are using is 'triJuice', an explanation of which is below:
If our phones were to have their own driver application, what this would be doing is essentially moving the 'Quality/Performance' slider towards 'Performance'. This tells the GPU to concentrate on 'Performance' rather than 'Quality'.
See CosmicDan's explanation here:
It's common graphics stuff and the same for PC's, we have told the GPU to put a focus on performance instead of quality. But the quality is not sacrificed much, it's barely noticeable. Maybe some games will look not so well, you'll have to test and see.
It's like we've lowered effect and texture detail on a system-wide level, allowing the CPU and GPU to give more time to work on geometry and frame updates and such. Useful because many games don't have settings for graphics quality.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Another notable option is 'forceAutoTextureCompression'. This saves RAM and makes texture rendering faster, but the actual loading of the game might be a tiny bit slower - however once it's loaded it will have faster rendering.
A list of possible settings for this configuration file are below (For detailed descriptions please see attached)
Post 3 lists which settings tend to increase or reduce performance, I will not give instructions on how to modify this however if you to intend on making your own config file please use Post 3 as a guide.

IMPORTANT!! - Please ensure you thank 'CosmicDan' as well for this fantastic mod. A huge portion of the work has been done by him!
(See 5th post if you would like to 'Thank' him)
Troubleshooting
First, give yourself another reboot - Just in case!
If it still doesn't seem to be working for you, check to see if the files have copied to your device. Check the following locations for the following files with any file manager with Root support.
/system/etc/init.d - Filename: 93adreno
/system/etc - Filename: adreno_config.txt
You should also see adreno_config.txt in the following location if the init.d script is working correctly: /data/local/tmp
If this file is not in this location then chances are you do not have init.d support.
Black screen on boot? See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40013461&postcount=377
Extras
You can assist with the testing of some of these settings by doing the following:
Open a new text file in a standard text editor (Notepad++ or Notepad for Windows)
Choose values from the above post to put into your configuration file. (Use the attached adreno_config.txt file as an indication of what setting does what)
Save this new file as 'adreno_config.txt'
Copy this text file to your phones SD Card.
Open your File Manager on your phone (I use ES File Explorer)
Prepare adreno_config.txt on your SD Card for copying
Navigate to /Data/local/tmp and paste the file there
Reboot.
Please be aware that if you have any cleaner init.d scripts this will NOT work, as when you reboot /data/local/tmp will be deleted.
Devs/Chefs/Tinkerers
If you would like to add this to your ROM please simply drop a short request in this thread or PM.
After which, please ensure proper credit is given.
Current Antutu Highscore
(With the benefits of this mod) - By CrypticRook
Manually Uninstalling the Mod
Navigate to the following locations and remove the files.
/system/etc/init.d - Filename: 93adreno
/system/etc - Filename: adreno_config.txt
/data/local/tmp - Filename: adreno_config.txt
Tested Settings
Untested:
preserveZStencilOnSwap - enabling might improve performance at the increased risk of visual artifacts
Dangerous:
facenessCulling - Turning on causes crash on boot
FPSCap - setting to anything other than 0 (even to 60 or 100) causes unstable 2D rendering
2D.eglSwapMode=interrupt - Causes unstable/looping 2D rendering. Applications fail to initialize.
fullSurfaceDynamicUpdatePath - reduces 3D performance by around 10%.
Performance Boosts:
forceAutoTextureCompression - Turning this on seems to help a LOT with 3D performance. Might increase load times by a a tiny amount.
triJuice - setting it to the max value of 3 increases particle/shader/lighting performance a LOT with a minor loss in quality
forceMSAAMode - enabling this will force no anti-aliasing as long as MSAAMode is left at 0. Could increase performance on some things but make them look very chunky
2D.HwBlt - Enabling this should enhance GPU hardware acceleration in gingerbread. It says default is enabled but I've set it to 1 anyway.
oxiliForceVsSingleThread=1 - Must be enabled with oxiliForceFsSingleThread=1 for performance increase. Prolonged usage has negative impact (Needs more testing).
oxiliForceFsSingleThread=1 - Must be enabled with oxiliForceSingleSp=1 for performance increase. Prolonged usage has negative impact (Needs more testing).
oxiliForceSingleSp=1 - Must be enabled with oxiliForceVsSingleThread=1 for performance increase. Prolonged usage has negative impact (Needs more testing).
clockGating - Turning this on might save power consumption (Currently being tested more to confirm). However there is no performance drop by having this enabled
Seemed to hurt performance: (I did not test these much, could do with more tests one-by-one)
leiaEnableLrzExpansion - enabling might.... do something.
leiaEnableFastLrzUnresolves - enabling might improve performance
oxiliDisableChunkedUpdates - enabling might improve performance
oxiliForceShaderDirectUpdates - enabling might improve performance
oxiliForceConstantDirectUpdates - enabling might improve or reduce performance
oxiliForceShaderSingleContext - enabling might improve performance at cost of quality
oxiliForceSuperthreadMode - enabling might improve performance or reduce it. Probably conflicts with above one.
suppressTimestampInterrupts - enabling might improve or reduce performance
Null/No Difference - These options made no effect on performance from their default settings
shadowGmemInAppBuffers - no effect on performance or quality
Great! Really looking forward to seeing what you can do
Thanks for letting me know you opened a topic
I've been doing some research and here's what ideas I've found so far:
clockGating - Turning this on might save power consumption. Will need to test if it has a performance hit.
facenessCulling - Turning on causes crash on boot
forceAutoTextureCompression - Turning this on MIGHT save RAM and/or MIGHT increase load times/CPU usage.
triJuice - raising this value might increase performance but decrease quality of mipmapping.
shadowGmemInAppBuffers - disabling might improve performance but break some things
preserveZStencilOnSwap - enabling might improve performance at the increased risk of visual artifacts
fullSurfaceDynamicUpdatePath - enabling might improve performance at the increased risk of visual artifacts
forceMSAAMode - enabling this will force no anti-aliasing as long as MSAAMode is left at 0. Could increase performance on some things but make them look very chunky
2D.HwBlt - Enabling this might enhance GPU hardware acceleration in gingerbread. It says default is enabled but I've set it to 1 anyway.
2D.eglSwapMode - changing to interrupt mode might.... do something. LETS TRY IT!
leiaEnableLrzExpansion - enabling might.... do something.
leiaEnableFastLrzUnresolves - enabling might improve performance
oxiliDisableChunkedUpdates - enabling might improve performance
oxiliForceShaderDirectUpdates - enabling might improve performance
oxiliForceConstantDirectUpdates - enabling might improve or reduce performance
oxiliForceShaderSingleContext - enabling might improve performance at cost of quality
oxiliForceSuperthreadMode - enabling might improve performance or reduce it. Probably conflicts with above one.
oxiliForceVsSingleThread - enabling might improve or reduce performance
oxiliForceFsSingleThread - enabling might improve or reduce performance
oxiliForceSingleSp - enabling might improve or reduce performance
FPSCap - setting to 30 or 60 might help with all-round performance and reduce lag spikes. Maybe.
suppressTimestampInterrupts - enabling might improve or reduce performance
Right, that's a lot of things for me to try one by one. If anyone else wants to, go for it. Just remember it could completely break your boot
Re: [WIP] Adreno Configuration Settings [Improved Performance?]
I did lol.. In the adreno thread xD
Ill make it more clear next time.
I've just tried a few things... Managed to make Antutu crash lot. Just finally completed a full benchmark but then the OS died. Going well so far. Cya in about 7 hours!
Edit: it looks like you can copy it to data/local/temp and the settings will apply for next boot. After which it is then removed from the directory. Which for me makes things a bit easier!
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Oh by the way, copying the config file to /system/lib/egl/ definitely does nothing. I tested by setting FPS cap to 5, no effect. File needs to be at /data/local/tmp/ - it does *not* get wiped on reboot so its OK.
EDIT: THe file isn't removed from /data/local/tmp/ for me =\ maybe you have an init.d script that erases it or something.
Re: [WIP] Adreno Configuration Settings [Improved Performance?]
Possibly. Ill check.
Btw, I just managed 13fps on the OpenGL ES2.0 test on Antutu. It was hilarious, so many artifacts... But it passed it!
...Until it died on the SD card test. If you use Antutu I suggest doing custom tests and taking SD out. Or reducing OCs. I think my 1.6ghz may be the problem.
Or perhaps we should use stock clock a to base our tests on?
Edit: seems like almost every setting you try also kills the bootanimation lol

I can't get past the 2D/sprite test in Antutu (the little Androids) it freezes at the end lol. Boot animation was always OK for me....
Yeah, using a stock clock would be a good idea. But I'm on 1.4 ghz anyway because that's what I've always used and always been stable on.
EDIT: I think setting FPSCap to 60 was the reason for Antutu freezing on 2d test.
EDIT2: You are using LuPuS GB kernel right? Because Turbo Kernel has backported KGSL drivers, so that's probably why we not only have different performance scores but may have different results with these configs.

OMFG! LEGEND!
Gonna test on mine and report back ASAP. Gimme 10 - 20 mins, depending on when I can get a free sec @ work. Lol. xD
Edit: Unable to replicate your score at the moment. Getting stock scores, most likely something to do with those pesky init.d scripts. Deleting now and will report back shortly
In the next turbo kernel release I'll make the kernel do a symlink from /data/local/tmp/adreno_config.txt to /system/etc/adreno_config.txt (it will be linked before init starts so will apply straight away), that way we can include modified config with ROM's.
You could just make an init.d script do the same thing, but then the ROM will need to be rebooted again (because adreno driver is already loaded).

I think I'll include an init.d script with my ROM, so that in the event someone isn't using your Kernel it will still work as intended.
...At least, after a reboot.
Doing Antutu now btw, ITS CRAZY FAST OMG. About to give you results. UNO MOMENTO!
OMFG!
This actually brought a tear to my eye... Lmfao... XD

Yeah I realized that too, already done it for Turbo UI Classic (which is uploading now). This should work:
/system/etc/init.d/93adreno:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
#
if [ ! -h /data/local/tmp/adreno_config.txt ] then
ln -s /system/etc/adreno_config.txt /data/local/tmp/adreno_config.txt
fi
EDIT:Woohoo! Play broke the 7000 mark
Now I wonder how Jellybean on Turbo Kernel performs.... maybe closer to 8000 lol! And the visual quality of the orc fight 3D test looked OK for you yeah?

Will be good to know if the results on LuPuS GB kernel are worse, better or the same with this config.

My test was done on LuPuS GB.
Sorry - I moved back from your Kernel last night. =x
Thank's for the script. I'll add it to v0.5 Aurora now. xD
Edit: Agreed. JellyBean should have crazy scores... Right, I'm gonna test a few of the other configs. From that list you've done, can you 'tick' off which you have already checked please? Just so I can continue where you left off at.
Orc fight looked perfectly fine. If it were a HD movie I'd say it had a low bit-rate, but it's not... So I have no idea what to call it, but it does look ever so slightly more grainy. But this is barely noticeable at all.
I looked in /data/local/tmp/ and there was no adreno_config.txt I'm using joka wild any ideas did I have to do something before hand using LuPuS v6 480p I'm very interested because I use this a a gaming device as I have a nexus 4

That's OK, I'll still win the record by being first to test Turbo UI (JB) score lolz

You need to move the file there yourself.
See attached.
Move the file to /Data/Local/tmp and reboot. Ensure you have no init.d scripts that clear cache or tmp though, as it will not work.

-Sorry for that mate, i did not include specific instructions to make all things simple and easy to digest...
-Links above were provided click for your specific tweak and you will be sent directly to its original source..
-There you will have OP's specific details with regards on their tweaks..
-And by the way FOR VULPIX_3.1 just make sure your ROM dont have any tweaks.. coz it already have all the simple tweaks implemented and it may complicate other things like crossbreeder , direct injection and a lot of stuff..
Dont mix PIMP my ROM and Vulpix.. they are two different tweaks heavily customizes your phone so mixing them is not advisable.

Hello everyone! I'm here to share with you my custom kernel for lenovo vibe k5. this kernel contains overclock for CPUs and GPU, also undervolting and overvolting. 20 1459MHz
21 1497MHz -> stock maximum
22 1536MHz -> OVERCLOCK
23 1574MHz -> OVERCLOCK
24 1612MHz -> OVERCLOCK
25 1632MHz -> OVERCLOCK
26 1651MHz -> OVERCLOCK
27 1689MHz -> OVERCLOCK
28 1950MHz -> EXTREME OVERCLOCK
For LITTLE Cores:
1 200MHz
2 249MHz
3 400 MHz
5 499MHz
12 800MHz
16 998MHz
17 1113MHz
21 1209MHz
26 1335MHz
27 1866MHz
So... Stock clockrates is undervolted a lot and overclocked clockrates is overvolted a lot too, but i've been tested all of them and my phone didn't burn, i hope your phone don't burn too
Oh... I've added some voltage quotient adjustments too, so, in last frequency more 45mV will be added depending of system load and -25mV will be decrased too in stock frequency depending system load.
Another things... This kernel haven't custom governors because i'haven't time already for add them but have a lot of needed stuff for hardware what isn't installed on lenovo stock rom and another custom roms... Some of these thins are:
-Qualcomm SVS (Smart voltage scalling with clock);
-WCD9306 HiFi processor drivers;
-QDSP6v2 Ultrasound HW driver;
-Thermal scaling drivers;
-Hardware monitoring with ADC current meter;
-Thermistor support (for battery safety in subsystem);
-Qualcomm camera header 3.1;
-Face detection engine support;
I'm forgetting... I've been incrased SM5414 charger charging current too! So your phone will charge too much faster with more charging current matching with Qualcomm Quick Charger 2.0 specifications.
So... you can see the tests on the screens, on benchmarks i not see a BIG difference on scores (tested with Antutu Benchmark) but in games like asphalt extreme... im running in full configurations without lags! But... BE CAREFUL, CAN OVERHEAT YOU PHONE WITH EXCESSIVE LOADS!
For my tests i've been stopped core control, thermal engine, vdd restriction, everything what can drops performance if temperature incrases, to stop thermal-engine you can type in terminal this two commands: "su" and "stop thermal-engine" -> I'm not responsible for anything what can damage your phone, you do what you want.
Stock and moded thermal engine configurations can variate the scores because the ambient temperature can be influent in this things... on my tests, i've tested in a 25C room (my work laboratory).

Kernel flashable zip via TWRP Link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=138556 -> Future updates will be added here!
Tested on Lenovo VIbe K5 A6020l36 with Snapdragon 616! (1,5GHz BIG - 1.2GHz LITTLE) - Dont work on Snapdragon 415 versions because this kernel have a really big overclock in both clusters in clocks driver.
Changelog 06/12/2016
Added more governors
Added more overclock
Added Adreno Idler
Linux 3.10.51
Power Efficient Workqueues
Incrased UnderVoltage at stock clocks and lower clocks also, reduced the maximum overvoltage with overclock too ( -20~ -60 ~
-60 ~-120 )
Changelog 28/12/2016 - The last of the year 1
AnyROM Patch (thanks to @Dreamstar);
Added Faux sound control (thanks to @Dreamstar);
Added Simple GPU Algorythm;
Improved Adreno Idler;
Added Dynamic Fsync for higher I/O performance causing overall UX performance;
Added User Level thermal control working with thermal-engine -> this allow user control one of throttle temperatures (in this case pm8916tz, the temperature of power management IC);
Added Pocket Mod (for future ROM compilations);
Incrased swapness for an acceptable value;
Added O3 optimizations in kernel build;
Updated voltage mode battery management system with last codeaurora updates;
Reduced ncp6335d regulator slew rate and incrased maximum frequency from 670kHz to 710kHz to improve power efficiency and reduce overheating incrasing inductors impedance of buck converter;
Reduced fan53555 regulator slew rate;
Reduce stock frequencies voltage tables again (more automatic undervolt, something about -52mV for stock frequencies (1.49GHz and 1.20GHz);
Make mdss bandwidth value adaptive - 2,1GB/s ~ 2,35GB/s (Stock is 2GB/s);
Incrased a little more AC Charging current (but, its matching with SM5414 Charger IC limits);
Updated a little KGSL drivers;
Updated 2 years old some SOC audio files;
Minimum GPU Frequency reduced to 19MHz when in really IDLE state;
Added Alucard Hotplug;
Maked Power Efficient Workqueue enabled by default for awaked CPUs to save some power;
Overall Linux and Drivers minor update;
SW2Awake and DT2W is under developement, but, for DT2W you can use "half" function to awake device;
Code:
#include <some audio optimization file for enable 192kHz sample rate by default>;
#include <optimized init.qcom.post_boot.sh>;
#include <optimized thermal-engine for balanced heating / performance>;
#include <wlan.ko module>;
Now a little tutorial: How to obtain maximum performance with this kernel in benchmarks.
After installed, disable any powersave option from kernel configurations with any kernel configuration app, disable hotplug, set the maximum temperature to arround 63C in kernel configuration app, and enable all cores, set they frequency to maximum as possible (1,95GHz for BIG and 1,86GHz for LITTLE); Now the dangerous part: go to terminal emulator and type:
Code:
su // to obtain superuser privileges
stop thermal-engine //to stop thermal-engine service
Now, go to your benchmark app and test, i recommend to you do this ONLY in cold days or with good refrigeration, for example, you can use the family's fridge for this .
Remember: the kernel doesn't enable automatically overclock, you need to do this by selecting maximum frequency you want, by stock I selected default frequencies to safety.
-Changelog 30/12/2016 - See you soon...
Updating regulator voltages for more undervolt at stock frequencies again (more again);
Added ClusterPlug for hotplug LITTLE Cluster when the system aren't in heavy parallel loads and enable all little cores when high parallel loads start;
Added an sysfs file for user put desired charging current (explanation at end) sm5414 charger specific modification;
Another updates in linux base;
Alucard hotplug disabled by default, but you can enable it to hotplug BIG cores based on system load;
Re-enabled Adaptive Low Memory Killer;
Updated sleep drivers;
Debugging DTS-Eagle API Driver to full support at DSP;
Added kernel level 192kHz for sound driver;
Some audio routing corrections;
Incrased torch brightness a little;
Thermal throttle set to 65C;
Added new bootlogo, if you dont desire this, download the version with stock bootlogo;
Gesture functions stay buggy, only working half DT2W
-Changelog 07/02/2017
Under and Over voltages regulated again;
GPU Overclock Frequency reduction and added more frequency (powerlevels) steps to GPU;
Modification at DC/DC converters (clocks and maximum currents);
QuickChargeCurrent file minimum value modification;
ALSA updates;
Stills with UBER 4.9 TC;
Light RAM Overclock;
Bandwidth between GPU and Display reduction to reduce random reboot chances;
Little updates at Linux base and KGSL Drivers (kernel side);
F2FS Support;
Gesture functions stay buggy .
-> for user control maximum charging current:
--This mod will allow user set the maximum current of USB port when connected in AC charger, when is on USB, the charger is't changed, always 500mA!
--The SM5414 IC can deliver 2500mA without problems, but i limited the maximum at 2250mA.
--For the normal charge, i set 1650mA maximum, but you can go up to 2250mA without problems, also you can set values of 100mA to 2250mA with 50mA steps, for example: 100mA to 150mA, not to 120mA or 140mA, the driver will make approximations to the next or last step current. But you can jump for example of 1000mA for 2250mA, after 1 minute you saved the value the charger module will read the new value and set maximum corrent.
--The file is /sys/modules/sm5414_charger/parameters/quickchargecurrent , when you open file you will see 1650 number, this is my default value when maked the mod on driver, you can set according already explained.
OBS: if you try to set values up to 2250mA, the driver will not read and set to the maximum limited value, in this case, 2250mA.
OBS2: the readed current in apps like ampere or hwmonitor is an post-regulated current, so can be more than the USB current because inside we have buck converters, this converter type reduces the voltage (in case of charger form 5~6V to 4,4V for battery) and incrases the output current, because P=V*I in both sides, input and outpt (in ideal mode).
So... For 2016 its this.

I dont know, you need to test it, but i think works too.
Is there any chance we can get VOLTE?
Which build of CM 13 should i install to use this kernel? Because latest one include caf, and CM 13 which dont have CAF is very outdated.
Any way to use this on CM 13 based other ROM?
Plz make a kernel for cm14.1 based roms......android 7.1 roms are stable now bluetooth and video recording fixed in AICP ROM
Here is the link http://www.androidpit.com.br/forum/728429/lenovo-vibe-k5-rom-7-1-unofficial-aicp-android-ice-cold-project-12-1-lenovo-vibe-k5
So, are there no custom governors, not even the ones in the @scritch007's kernel?
Thanks man ! Finally I install this kernel on CM 13 (latest)
Auto brightness fix
So smooth no lag at all
battery drain
Very very very good battery life as compare to stock.
So only problem is crackling audio.
I think minimum sound is very loud.
Man we need more kernel then ROM.
Any other kernel with custom governor, and for better battery life.
Please!
BTW My device is vibe k5 plus a46 2 GB

UPDATE- hotplug not working.
I think CPU/GPU never throttle no matter how much battery/CPU temperature is.
So sometime it heat device.
Any way to throttle CPU .
I am gonna try kernel adiutar.

+1. And yeah, having to press power button each time to wake the phone isn't so ideal. It would be very nice if double-tap-to-wake feature is implemented
In my opinion, you should also reduce the maximum frequency CPU to 1.7-1.8 GHz and add you custom governors.
Everything you do is great. I am very grateful for your work. I hope you will listen to the advice, then your work will enjoy many owners of our devices.

I test it only once and it was great, now I'm using cm14.1 and waiting for a custom kernel for it.
I was thinking that maybe 1,8 and 1,4 ghz and governors will be great
Thank for your feedback guys, i'm learning to make more modifications in kernel... this is my first mods in a kernel, i also learning about custom governors and this feature (double tap to awake) and another things... i hope you will be patient, i'm doing this only in my free time (arround 1~2 hours by day maximum at night) and this will be a long developement process i think... now i'm will compile an cm13 with this kernel and after cm14.1 because my internet connection have an really poor speed. If someone wants help-me make contact =D

ArrowOS
ABOUT
ArrowOS is an AOSP based open source project started with the aim of keeping things simple, clean and neat, both for the Android system and users. We understand the pain of unnecessary and sometimes rarely used mods/features being shipped with custom roms nowadays which may end up causing battery drains and/or memory leaks & crashes. This is being strictly avoided on our side keeping everything to a bare minimum, delivering stable performance all the time without destroying the AOSP interface. With users getting more used to tweaks and features, we added just the right features and customisations that will be actually USEFUL at the end of the day.

FAQs
Q: VoLTE icon is missing! How can I enable it?
A: Settings -> Display -> Statusbar icons -> Enable VoLTE icon
Q: No dark mode in Phone and SMS apps!
A: Either install Google Dialer and Messaging from the Play Store, or enable "Override force-dark" in Developer settings
Q: Where is Dirac audio enhancer and how can I enable it?
A: Go to Settings -> Sound -> scroll to the bottom
Q: 2 Big cluster CPUs are always offline! Not able to turn them on!
A: When CPU load is low, these cores are turned off to save power. They will turn on automatically when CPU load increases. If you still want to turn on cpus disable core control in EX Kernel manager or a similar app.
Q: HELP! everything was fine until today but suddenly my screen stopped responding to touch and I had to reboot!
A: It turns out that k5/plus units with certain display panels have some issues with DT2W (double tap-to-wake) enabled. You can go ahead and disable it in display settings, the issue should disappear after that.
How to download this ROM?
I keep failing
Hi adityhya rom I use the way you say performance has increased really good rom now I wish you more success and new privatization plenty of roms waiting for you to meet us
I used this rom for a short time (I'm still used) It is very stable at the same time and curious item, the front speaker played ringing sound (too useful because my rear speaker is rusty)
Launchair bug does not open after reboot
And the battery consumption is very high, consumes a lot and it takes a long time to charge.
Other than that, great rom.
V smooth so far, it's the third day i m using this rom, no issue at all, the enhanced sound is v nice feature,
The battery consumption is a bit high, even in deep sleep
Thanks so much ,Good job ??
Dev kind request can you add rotate settings for rotating screen 270* because lower half of my screen doesn't respond so i have to use it in reverse
Please help
CPU core release does not work. After performing the procedure, the cores are momentarily unlocked but after a short time lock again.
Can i update it dirty ? Or it has to be clean flash ?
Is it possible to pass safetynet with this ROM and microg?
Thanks for the rom.
How can I turn up the volume on my headphone?
And the call recording option isn't working, you can't hear what the other person says
The phone freezes randomly from time to time and it goes to lock screen where I have to enter the password to unlock the phone
How can this be fixed
What causes it ?
Cast screen restarts the phone suddenly
Im using the last update 19-1-2020
It used to work with the previous updates
Thanks for still keeping alive this outdated device !!!!!
But i am missing Dolby Atmos that bassy speakers ....
I tried installing dolby from magisk module but the rom crashed. can anyone give me link for the dolby Atmos which can suppprt this rom...... Thanks for the rom
Poor call quality reported by person on other end of the line - A6020, Q, Arrow OS
Hi,
First - When I call or someone calls me, the voice of the person on the other end is loud and clear. But the person reports that nothing of what I say is audible. There is too much of noise, or a howling voice is heard from my side. The issue normally occurs when there's HD calling b/w me and any other user (And both have Volte active).
Second - Google voice typing, WhatsApp voice messages and voice recorder does not record anything from the microphone.
Third - Pls add a tweak for mapping hardware buttons in settings.
Fourth (And of very little need from my side)- Pixel Launcher crashes with full gesture navigation activated. Up to 2 button navigation, everything is fine except that from 2 button navigation, the Google app seems to stop working, often executing after a minute from being tapped on the icon and Google assistant doesn't activate.
Encryption worked for me, many thank!
First, thanks for extending the life of this model , second I have noticed that the battery consumption during use is high, I have activated the minimum, no application that works in the background, the only thing that installed extra was the magisk

Hello Everyone !!
I need help I bricked my phone , I was just going back to my stock rom then I am facing two problems ..
( I am not blaming this thread developer , I appreciate him for his work as I also used his ROMs )
Now my problems are :
1)-When I flashed stock rom using Qfil tool ,its showing baseband version unknown and I don't have any backup file for this ... So can I restore my baseband version.(does again flashing stock rom will fix it?)
2)-this is my main issue that my device is boot only when connected to charging. If I disconnect charger it suddenly turn off and won't turn on without charger...
And my battery is at good condition so I don't think its a battery problem.
Thanks for reading !!!
I hope anyone wil help me ...!!!
