When I flash custom firmware onto my phone I get the error "SECURE CHECK FAIL : boot" - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I flash custom firmware onto my phone I get the error "SECURE CHECK FAIL : boot"
Hello,
I am trying to flash an Android 11 preview onto my Samsung Galaxy S9 (SM-G960U1) with Odin; Here is the Odin log:
Code:
<ID:0/006> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/006> File analysis..
<ID:0/006> Total Binary size: 1399 M
<ID:0/006> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/006> Initialzation..
<ID:0/006> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/006> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/006> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/006> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/006> boot.img
<ID:0/006> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/006>
<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I am using a file called android11.tar, it contains boot.img and recovery.img; boot.img was originally called system.img and is an Android 11 GSI, and recovery.img was originally called vbmeta.img. I got the GSI from https://developer.android.com/topic/generic-system-image/releases (ARM64). When I receive the fail error in Odin, on my phone I see "SECURE CHECK FAIL : boot"

I don't think any of the solutions there work. I think I'll have to make an MD5 signature.

[Q] Error when trying to flash stock rom with ODIN

Hello, I am having trouble flashing a stock rom (as I am soft-bricked).
I originally tried the rom from here but that gave me an error similar to the error that the person had in the following thread.
I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433963&page=2 but when I tried to flash the provided ROM it gave me this error on ODIN:
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> sbl2.mbn
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> sbl3.mbn
<ID:0/004> rpm.mbn
<ID:0/004> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
The error on the download screen is as follows:
SW REV. CHECK FAIL : fused : 5, Binary : 3
Not sure what to do here. Can't seem to flash anything with out it giving me some sort of error.
What I was doing that soft bricked me was I successfully rooted and then tried to flash TWRP onto my phone. Now it just boots straight into download mode, or if I boot it into download and cancel just reboots into download mode.
Any help? Thanks!
EDIT: Found another thread after further research. Think I found a working recovery. Trying to flash this. No errors so far. Will get back to you if it works.
EDIT2: Got it to work! I used this if anyone else had a similar issue.

The reason it failed in the first place, just so you're aware and for others who encounter your thread, you tried flashing a firmware older than the one installed on your phone, perhaps from an OTA or just straight up an older rom, and the FAIL (Auth) error is what happens when you do that. You have to flash with a rom version that is the same as or newer than what's on your phone.

1. There are newer tar's here, but that won't help.
2. Are you able to boot into Downloadmode or System /ROM?

How can I fix this? Help would be appreciated.

Hi there. did it work out with u? please let me know. i have also SM-F900U variant and want to flash SM-F900F to enable esim in UAE. all responses are highly appreciated brothers.

Esim on us model unlocked?

There are pics of the Australian fold with settings that allow esim.. I know the US model has the hardware for dual sim nano and esim.. Does anyone know if flashing an international firmware with esim allows a US model to gain that capacity since the hardware is in the fold?
I have flashed international software and no change because once you insert a sim the phone does apply that carrier settings so I am thinking you may need an International sim. I however do see my esim number and heard you can provide that to the US carrier and it is up to them if they want to activate it or not.
