Note from 2020-07-25:
This is quoted from my (abandoned) Bootleggers thread.
I did not (yet) test dualsim on my j5xnlte.
I will do it this evening/night (UTC+2), I'm on-call this weekend and can therefore not test it during the day.
This works for me on my test j5xnlte:
It doesn't matter which sim is your data-sim.
Before setting your data sim to 3g or 4g (aka LTE):
make sure to set 2g as preferred network on the sim you do not use for data.
The data sim can then be set to whatever you want.
Never ever try to change the sim after you started a call, if you do so you most likely have to restart the device to make things work again.
Before restarting the device you can try to set both sims to 2g and switch the data sims twice (easiest way with the QS-tile)

mighty cool - danke Jens

Thank you so much Jens for all you do to keep this device alive /

I have tested this ROM and il like the look of it because it is almost pixel skin, but i'm wondering why the blissROM is faster then any other Q ROM for this device?

@abdogeni - do you mean BlissROM boots to your home screen faster, or it's faster running and working with apps, or both? If one or more app(s) lag for you in this DerpFest ROM, which one(s)?

@RootedLee - ok, it's faster running apps and in transition and more responsive, at first I thought it's the window and transition animation but it isn't, I can't explain the difference but the only name that's cames in my head is the speed. It's like you use a 90Hz screen or something.

Gapps (recommended: arm64 nano/pico)
First time installing crDroid to your Moto G5 Plus, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery ( TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
Inbuilt Super User included for ROOT. Enable it from developers option!
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
You need to flash GApps every-time you flash the ROM.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Sorry for bothering u , I should have taken a SS with the included kernel. I know u work hard to develop a ROM , I'm a not a guy who nags the developers by posting some unusual stuffs. Relax and do the good work. Cheers

crdroid 7.1.2 is my daily driver. amazing rom.
I've installed many 8.1 roms but most builds after 15th january don't work, they always show no sim card installed. In the latest crdroid rom, the phone says only emergency calls. Bad luck?
@coldhans hey I really hope I don't come off as demanding or rude by asking this but I'm curious. Will this room ever pass safety net out of the box? This room is really good. Thanks for maintaining it for us!
Did the new build pass safety net?

No worries! Don't confuse my lack of emojis for irritation in these threads, I just try to keep my answers short and to the point.
crDroid comes with inbuilt root, which as far as I know can't pass SafetyNet. If you still don't pass SafetyNet after flashing the latest Magisk and/or the Universal SafetyNet fix, I can bring it up with the developers.

I just installed your ROM and I love it, only thing I have to say is The camera issue and audio, I hace tried to fix both but I did not get good results. I'm new in this kind of things and always try to read carefully. Your recommendations will be very welcomed.
Thank you again.
Plz Can You make Android Oreo rom for Samsung galaxy on5 or on5 pro cuz i don't think Samsung will ever push oreo for this. And if that rom supports PROJECT TREBLE. PLZ PLZ PLZ
Pleeeeeeeeeeease build again. I'm quite sure sound and camera can be fixed if we all put our heads together. I'm willing to test any time on any day fixes for anything with this or anything for my On5. You did amazing work with this for this device. You are very appreciated!!!! :good:
I stumbled across this thread randomly. What you did here is fantastic.
I hope you go back and resolve the couple of quirks in this rom or release the complication so the community can do so.
The On5 was always a great phone with was crippled by all the bloatware from Samsung.

Yes, it works perfectly, with the exception of can and in and out audio not working
We need an update.
Honestly, this is a good rom, but it really needs a rebuild since camera and sound dont properly work well, except with headphones. I do own this device, and we seriously need an update to this. Its almost a year since you first uploaded this. Maybe consider using Oreo for this update? Or Pie?
This works on SM-G550T?

Download the latest build
Put it on your device
Reboot to TWRP
If you want to be sure wipe the device
Flash the latest build
Clean Cache and Dalvik if you want
Reboot and enjoy
Others
Easily rootable with the great Magisk (stable) by @topjohnwu.
I use it as daily driver without major issues, except mobile data (see above).
I use microG as google replacement and for push-services, signature-spoofing is already build into the rom but need to be enabled in "Settings -> Bootleg dumpster -> Miscellaneous" and granted in "Settings -> apps" and/or in microG-Settings.

Whenever you upgrade between major revisions of android, you always clean install. 4.2 is 9.0, 5.0 is 10. Clean install it.

You need to use the official TWRP 3.3.1 otherwise it won't work. (At least from my experience)

Unfortunately, I'm still using Bootleggers because it's very stable, Do I still need to flash the stock firmware or just fully wipe Bootleggers and flash Bliss?

I made a backup of my apps with migrate and copied /data/media (internal storage) to my sd-card and made a full backup with TWRP to be sure.
Then I wiped data, and internal, system will be wiped during install anyway.
Then I installed the rom, booted once (not sure if it is necessary), went back to TWRP and booted Magisk and the Migrate-backup.
Then it was time to restore my apps ( a little bit tricky, because I use microG and an additional work profile), but all works fine now.

Thank you for your detailed explanation
Firstly a very great Good Morning to everyone. I hope everyone will be fine in this adverse conditions. Now coming back to the topic , I tested this rom yesterday and I am happy to say that it worth my data. Everything is smooth no crashes until now, tons of customizations never saw in any roms. I don't like to use the word 'but' but unfortunately I have to use that so please don't take it on a wrong side. So the only issue which I am facing is with the ringtone. As I am from India, we have to use volte on 4g networks for our needs such as calling, messaging etc. And to counter that problem there is an app named jiocall which lets us to use volte services using its jio Sim on any 4g enabled device. Now the problem is that whenever someone is calling me, I am getting the vibration feedback from the device but the ringtone is not playing up, I had also enabled the ringtone from the settings but the problem is still the same. It does work on all other roms but this is first time I am experiencing this issue. Might be there is something which I am missing so if anyone can help me in coming out from this problem then it will be great , thanks!

You know it will be a lot helpful to provide some logs... Install apk that cach logs and just let it run in beckground whan crash provide the log..
Three questions (don't hesitate if you can only answer <=1 of them):
1. Our J5 2016's have a 64bit ARMv8 Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) Cortex-A53 CPU, accdg. to both, Samsung's specs and CPU-Z. Is this ROM here also 64bit and able to run 64bit apps? If not by default, have you gathered sufficient solid experience after swapping the kernel with a 64bit kernel (provided that's at all possible)?
2. If this ROM is 64bit: are you running a compatible and current Google Camera app mod which includes the AR (Augmented Reality) module (64bit only!) for Google Maps' neat Live View feature?
3. Do you reliably run EdXposed with this ROM?
Side note: nowhere in the J5 2016 forum section did I discover any ROM which is explicity declared to be 64bit, not even in any description..

Dolby missing?
Hi bro. I just installed this rom. It's really good. But, in youtube videos, I saw that this rom has Dolby pre installed.
But, I don't see it on my phone. I clean flashed the latest build.
Is it removed now? Or am I doing something wrong?
Magisk installation
Hello and kudos for your great job.
It's been a while since I last got involved with android and I find it difficult to get Magisk on this rom. Could you provide an easy way to do it?
I tried patching a boot.img and then installing through fastboot (recoveries just cannot mount the internal storage), but this does not seem to work. It finishes the command without error but there is no root support on boot.
Thanks in advance

dolby seems to have been removed in latest build. I also cannot find it
Dolby didn't work anyway when it was there
Can we expect AOSPA app lock in upcoming builds??
This ROM is lovely, but I have a few issues to report on my Joyeuse device.
1. The latest 04/12 OTA update fails to install/flash with TWRP reporting an error with: "@/cache/recovery/block.map"
2. As of the 03/12 OTA update, Magisk patched boot images don't seem to work and result in never ending boots. Flashing stock boot image in fastboot fixes this issue, but then I have no root.
3. Toggling the SELinux option in the Xiaomi Parts just kicks you back to the main settings page without enabling SELinux enforcing.
4. Not an issue, but the Quick Unlock feature is missing from this ROM. Even though it's small and simple, it's makes a large difference in day-to-day usage and feels strange after coming from other ROMs with this feature included. Would be amazing if this was added in a future update.
Other than the above, this ROM works a treat and runs beautifully. Thanks for your hard work.
Latest 05/12 OTA update also fails to install with the same error in TWRP as above.
Edit: I'll be switching to another ROM for the time being as root/Magisk is essential to me.

I have used arrow in the previous build. Magisk 21 works just fine. Flashed it via PBRP.
I like it because it is updated frequently and is stable.
I'm using gesture navigation.
When the screen rotates, the navigation bar does not move to the bottom of the screen, and some touches may not respond.
In that case, it will be solved if you return after displaying the app history.
on gapps Ver.
If I am using double tap wake up and sleep function even though with my screen pattern lock+ Finger print,It bypasses and automatically opens up .Even after manually clicking on the power button to sleep and wake up again doesn't work. Shortly I mean: Screen lock disappears and directly pops up into the menu.

Use magisk V21.0 .I am using the same to root
Update: after a day use.while using browser.Phone automatically Rebooted itself.Dont know why
1. My advice: Do not use OTA update. Causes a bootloop.
Edit: With OrangeFox Recovery OTA updating works flawlessly. Repatch Magisk afterwards.
2. If Magisk Hide is enabled, there is a signature error (ro.build.type set to "user"). With it disabled my banking app does not work, but signature errors are gone. It would be great if you could fix the signature error, @SonalSingh18
Edit: Came to the workaround by this old thread [CLOSED] [OUTDATED] Magisk and MagiskHide installation and troubleshooting | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
Greetings and thank you for this great daily driver! ☺
