amazfit gtr problems - Amazfit

hello
Yesterday i bought a new, neverused amazfit gtr from a guy and i have some problems with it.
1. My wrist wake up doesn't work (tried all the apps i can to set it )
2.It does not count my footsteps. When i activated for the first time it told me that it will use the phone gps to count , but i never found that option ..and I reseted to factory uninstall everything but I sill not find anything about that
I use it with my mi9tpro..
please help me if u can.

Have you tried the app 'Notify & Fitness for Amazfit'?
If not, there you should find the settings for it (i have them).
If you already tried it, it could be that the hardware is not functioning as it should.
The phone used is not of any influance as far as i know.

well.. i have the app installed , but what opt you reffer tho? i really want that steps counter..

Problem solved.. IT was defecți e.. IT seems that when the wrist turn to wake up is defecți e nothing works good on it, compas. Steps not tracking.. Sleep mode detects very bad.... S-o be carefull. Hope it helps

Amazfit bip watch

Hi everyone,
Just wanna ask if anyone encounter problem connecting to the smartphone after the recent MIUI update?.
Just to share.. I had.. I couldn't even get it syn repeatedly even uninstalled and then reinstall the mi fit.
I have already sent this complaint to the respective people... Hope to hear and see that they can rectify this error...
Now my watch is lay there... Not able to use at all. Have to get another smart band/band for my activity tracking...
If anyone have solved this problem.... Please share.. Appreciate

Did you grant the app all permissions in app settings, and removed it from any battery saving service?
Not sure where to ask but rather making a new thread. Does the BIP have good custom ROM potential? If not, which Amazfit, or any smartwatch with month battery should I go for?
I have looked around and only found stuff for Pace. And also those sideloaded Google apps, is it possible on the BIP as well?

The Bip does not run Android, it runs a custom OS, no sideloading of apps at all and no ROMs

Wrong time on the watch

Hi guys! My wife's watch (stratos) since the update has changed the hour to +1, i mean when it's 10' it says it's 11' and so on.
This is a very annoying bug, i've searched for an answer but didn't have sucess...
Please, someone can help us?!

It is happening here in my Pace just like this but not because update, but because summer time that should be started yesterday but was postponed.
I tried everything: restarted watch, phone, disconnected and reconnected bluetooth, but no success. The time on watch keeps wrong while on phone is ok.
I don't know what else to do!

I'm with the same problem, I believe all of Brazil. I've tried syncing and all the ways, bluethoot, Wi-fi, Usb, and I can not change the time. My notification center also stopped working. I no longer receive Whatzap alert, email or facebook for example, but all activities including the step counter is working.
Anyone have any idea how to solve it or will we have to wait to enter daylight hours to normalize?

If you are running a custom Rom, you can install this tzdata updater .bat in your windows PC or just use the commands inside the .bat if you use any other platform on your PC.

Or if you are in stock Rom with unlocked bootloader, just install temporal root from Pacified or Stratosfied Rom and run the updater .bat.

How can i change time zone in my amazfit pace?
The time is wrong. I live in Brazil
The time is wrong only on locked screen on my watch, but after reboot is ok now.
Time zone +2(Plovdiv, Bulgaria)
Same here in Germany. Active screen switched to winter time, but the locked screen showing still summer time.
Edit: fixed after reboot.

You can't find where to configure date and time on your own phone? Disable auto update, then change the time zone to any GMT-3, like Buenoes Aires or Recipe. Then 4th November go back to Brasilia or Auto, when DST will actually start this year in Brasil.

Phone calls from S10E to Verge

Hi there,
I don't seem to be able to use the phone function on my Verge. I have the latest software update but I didn't find any way of making the watch get notification from the calls coming into my S10E. is this a Samsung issue?

Be sure you have latest update of:
Watch app (3.2.0-Play) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager&hl=en
Watch Verge (ROM) (3.2.5.0)
Then go to Amazfit watch app:
1. Open app
2. Profile
3. Amazfit Verge
4. Scroll to down
5. Notifications settings
6. Must be market/checked these: a) Push notification (must be red dot) b) in Push notifications must be added app which in yours phone is responsible of incoming calls. Also keep in my must be all permissions enabled, after update sometime need to enable it again. If still will not helps, do factory reset of watch Verge, with re-install app Amazfit in yours phones (I doing like this often, helping me), but without restore of data in Amazfit app. It's important !!!
IMPORTANT: After factory reset in watch you will lose that day activities information. But don't worry it must be show in Amazfit watch app anyway, you just couldn't to see it in that day when you will do factory reset in watch, past days must be showed. For me working everything like this

Sad Did you tried to connect/pair with other smartphone? Factory reset of watch Verge for me most time working, re-install of Amazfit watch app asking all the time to give permissions from new, so you ca be sure that you will gives it 100% right, but if you after all these steps still have this problem, you just can try to connect/pair with others smartphone, even with the same account, if working on others smartphone, that's mean with your S10 something wrong, if no and problem persist maybe you using AmazMode app or something like this? Then developers will help you better
My smartphone is not rooted, in watch is official ROM and I using it without any 3rd parties apps software and ect.
yes, with Pocophone it works very well. THe issue with Samsung is double sim. If I turn off one of the two sims the calls arrive to the Verge about once in every 10 tries. The other 9 the Verge vibrates a bit then stops and the call is not shown. I only get the notification of missed call. If I turn on both sim cards the Verge doesn't receive the call. Is there a way to inform AMAZFIT developers of this?
Are you using the stock Samsung ROM? Did you try installing a third party app for calls, like Contacts+?

I think it not just for call If you using everything stock then strange and I advise you to talk with Amazfit Support in https://en.amazfit.com/support.html (Global, via mail) or https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us/categories/360001563933-Verge-Smartwatch. But I don't know why, but I have feelings that you doing something wrong, it can be that you did not gave permission for call notifications. As I mentioned try to factory reset (sometime it helping after several times), app to delete and re-install after reboot of smartphone, I don't have smartphone with PIE, but in these steps I don't think is something big differences as is in Marshmallow Good luck :highfive:

Stratos 3 4.2.4.0 firmware bugs

Got my stratos 3 just before Christmas and I'm suffering several annoying bugs with 4.2.4.0
1. After changing from ultra to smart, touchscreen doesn't work. If I reboot the watch again the touch comes to normal;
2. During some sports sometimes the screen doesn't update, I have to unlock to get updated info such as time;
3. When following a GPX track, if the track name inside the GPX is big, the watch render the trail twice with a distance between the renders turning it difficult to follow a track;
4. Not really a bug, but annoying: It's slow to change between tracks on music player (bluetooth) my old amz pace was instantaneous;
5. When hold the back button it return to the watchface but make all physical buttons unresponsive. Also happens randomly;
6. App doesn't shows vo2 info;
7. Impossible to transfer a large mp3 file (140mb podcast) thru file manager.
8. After a factory reset, tried to transfer 5 mp3 files (~20mb each). Transfer was interrupted and usb was not working. After a watch reboot usb got working again and I could transfer each file individually and waiting some seconds between transfers.
It really seems like a unfinished firmware with some simple test problems, the touch problem is really simple to test but maybe it's just me.
Anyone suffering from the same problems?

no pb with touchscreen for me ( switching from ultra to smart)
pb with update screen i've noticed some bugs sometimes
Did no try GPX since a long time but it was working well
no pb with back button.
Vo2 max is only working with running workouts.
i face a pb with altitude in smart mode on the watch it seems ok but on the app/strava i have not same values...
it is only in smart mode (in ultra seems ok)
during workout altitude in standby vs active is not the same.
hope they'll publish a new firmware soon

Notifications works for me. I'm using a mi 9 lite miui 11 global version stock.
For notifications you need two things:
1. Amazfit Notification access permission (Notification access in miui settings)
2. Mark apps inside amazfit app on notifications settings

Checked once again. Push notifications are ON, and ALL apps including also system apps are checked. Strange.

Chacked also this once again, Amazfit app has notification access permission.
And all apps in app notification setting are marked - notifications allowed.
Could be a MIUI beta thing maybe.... I will try later today without batter optimization. That's the only thing that comes to my mind right now.

Seems like a phone/rom problem.
I would clean reinstall Amazfit app first.
Maybe you have access to another smartphone just to test.

So it was a watch problem.
Really annoying how buggy this watch behave.
My touchscreen stopped working after coming from ultra to smart. The issue is that it does not work even after a reboot or factory reset.
In Ultra mode, still working.
In ultra mode, display is Blank. I try everything to fix. from reinstall official rom, and some official option in developer mode, to external script founded here on XDA. Nothing helps.. i call that a bug

Stratos 3 Not Connecting to Phone

Yesterday i created an intervalled trainning, synced to watch and because a bluetooth phone is necessary for use it, i decided to connect my Samsung Level On to make my run.
What happens is that after disconnecting Level On fron phone, my watch doesn't connect to phone anymore.
I tried everything i could imagine: forgot Level On on watch, cleared bluetooth cache/data on phone, restarted phone/watch, factory reset on watch (paired and configured ok but not connected after that), reinstalled Amazfit App, etc
How can I solve this?!

Mines doing this too, it connects briefly but as soon as it trys to sync with the app it disconnects and won't reconnect again

Exactly what is happening to me and same time that i took mine!
Yeah mine is doing this too. I am however still getting notifications and such to my watch. I think it is a software issue or server-side issue on Huami's part

Another thing that i just realized is that it starts charging and after 2 or 3% stops charging.
Switched in 3 USB ports, tried another computer and even with phone charger.
Always happens the same..
Later i'll unlock bootloader and install PaceFICATOR Everest ROM 2
+1 fiddling the whole afternoon. reboot factory reset.
Visit XDA and realized it's probably an amazfit server issue

I don't believe that is the problem because the connection is between watch and phone not to servers.

I have the same issue, tried to switch to Ultra mode and connection looks better, but still not usable as Ultra mode is rebooted every few moments.
I also noticed some issues during work out (HR not monitored, calories not calculated even once HR is monitored and sometimes time is stuck with some "random" very high value like 472384:45:00, or something like this) And to add to my insanity once I noticed sync issue I tried to log out and log in, as advised on Amazfit website, but the app was not able to log out my account so I had to force log out and I lost all weight data from connected Mi Scale (not just recent but like 3 years of data).
I tried to contact Amazfit via Facebook Messenger, but I am still waiting for a reply (in past replies were pretty fast).
If I will receive any useful information or official statement from Amazfit I will post it here.

In the amazfit app there is an option to give feetback to huami, that's what i did.
Wow, i thought its only me... Did everything imaginable yesterday. And at the end decided to go for my wife's phone - only to realize i cant get again in my account - but it was still active on my own phone. Decided to do new account - that fixed it for me. Now i use new account since i got the watch 5 days ago. Problem was constant disconnecting and connecting and i thought the reason was starting to happen after i installed an app called "notify and fitness for amazfit" or something like that from the play store.
After 2 MiBands (1 and 2), 1 Pace, 1 Stratos 2 (stopped work), 1 RedMi AirDots (broken less than 1 month) and now 1 Stratos 3, I'm done with Xiaomi and cia.
Last 3 experiences was very disappointing and waste of money.
Next shot will be in a Garmin Forerunner that should my first option instead Stratos 3. Regrets.

That's not the problem. Actually Notify and Fitness is much better than Amazfit App, that is terrible!

I was thinking here with my buttons and imagining a crazy thing, if Amazfit/Xiaomi had programmed/scheduled software to be bugged about this time, because this issues is happening to everyone around the world without any update or something!

Yes, i did leave the original amazfit app on the phone. I just shared my thoughts back then, before i find this thread. I guess it was just a coincidental that i installed at the same time the watch start missbehaving...or even more likely - it was missbehaving before - i just noticed it after i installed and starting to tweak the new app. Thank you for reassuring me tho, that this app is okay. I will give it another try. I just wonder - did the issue go for all the people ? If so - was it around the same time for everybody? Also - i just wonder why would huami not push a message just to tell us there is a problem and they are working on it, instead of us calling shops trying to return the watch

Already put mine for sell.
This, together with what happened yesterday, is a deal-breaker for me. I went for Stratos 3, instead of Garmin because i didn't know i will have to pay such a hefty price for that double less money initial payment...but now i regret it tremendously. Altho Design of Stratos is superB in my opinion - i prefer flawless experience more

No, my stratos 3 is working fine with amazfit app however since the last update of app I have problems with sync some workout data to Notify&Fitness.

Indeed, support is the worst of this all huami stuff. To correspond with such idiots who don't know own devices you have to have a lot of patience .
I'm also wondering about garmin, polar or suunto but at the moment price and working amazfit effectively stops me .

Same here, tried everything used factory reset of phone + watch. Raised a ticket for amazfit support, will update if I get any wrk.
