Same problem.
I realize this sounds unhelpful, but just stop trying for 2 days, repeated attempts make the server to think that you're a bot or something. I left mine alone for 2 days and on the third day, it unlocked. In fact, I unlocked it just about half an hour ago.
Installing the beta developer ROM solved this problem for me.

I don't think it should be a problem there, steps are simple:
- First, install a dev MIUI ROM 6.x.x (if possible, chinese one, which comes in both chinese and english) through MiFlash
- Boot the phone in this dev ROM and make sure you login your MiAccount, the same one you used to ask for unlocking bootloader permissions
- Make sure you have both ADB and OEM unlock activated on Developer Options
- Once you make sure you have that account logged in, just follow the steps in the MiUnlocker program (fastboot, connect, etc)
It should do the trick, if you still have some kind of problem, do the typical tricks, try to use another cable, connect through a 2.0 USB port....

Trying with developer rom will solve the problem.

Same problem with global stable ROM and flash to Global dev ROM solve the problem for me
I had this today i was on global beta. What i did was turn my phone on goto to mi account and ensure my device was activated on find my device. Logged into mi unlock tool with my phone number eg +447509##### and opened windows firewall to the unlock program. Took 10+ attempts then worked. I think the key to my problem was my phone had to receive the validation sms for my miui account before proceeding
Hi everyone.
1 - After my xiaomi redmi 3 Note Pro was in bootloop I flashed it with MIUI Global 8.1/ Stable 8.1.1.0
2 - At the first boot, when I had to sign in to my Mi Account, the phone started saying "Checking Find device status...", without letting me even try to sign in.
3 - So i tried to flash the phone again but it doesn't work now: with every image version and every MiFlash version I try in MiFlash says [error:"Flash tz error"]. I've seen that this probably happens because my bootloader is still locked.
4 - So I tried to unlock it with the standard procedure with MiFlashUnlock, and after all the procedure I received the message, but when I try to unlock it says: "Couldn't verify device, current account is different from the account info on the device". So I've seen that this is because I can't login into my account in the phone (see section 2).
5 - I noticed that I'm able to access the apps and the settings of the phone even if I'm in the mi account login screen (see section 2) holding the center button and going to google now and searching for settings or app names. I tried from the settings to reset the phone but it doesn't allow me since I'm not logged, I also tried to update the phone with the update app, but it doesn't let me.

After I installed face id in my redmi note 4 Sanpdragon version through red wolf recovery , I m facing serious issues like can't be able to change pattern and can't be able to add face id and finger print also. Whenever I try to change pattern or add face id it will it come to pattern , but when I just click on it went back to lock screen & security setting . Please :goodlease any one had this issue and fixed help me to get this fixed . Thanks in advance

Hello XDA , yesterday i bought a second hand Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 3gb ram from someone , phone was working great but when i got home i reseted it to factory settings using power button and volume up from the menu , now it asks me to activate the phone ..
The person i bought it from is not answering his phone number nor on facebook , is there anything i can do to unlock it ?
The phone is 100% stock no recovery installed only stock stuff , and is running miui 10

There is nothing you can do without mi Account.
Hi i bought brand new mi 10 global version
And i noticed its getting very lagy in some point
Like gboard app and on recent apps menu
Also when i unlocking it by password or fingerprint
I tried to reflash the software on mi flash i get error message "erase boot error"
any help ????
