That is something you will have to try learning how to do for yourself. Don't expect anyone to do it for you because that probably won't happen here.
This website functions by the user doing their own work for themselves. We answer questions here, but we do not spoonfeed answers to the user, we do not hold anyone's hand step by step and we do not do the work "for" you. Everything you need to know in order to modify the app in the way that you want, is made available here, it's your job to find it and do it.

I really appreciate your reply, I'm new here idk how to modify apps but yes I will try doing it on my own, I would also appreciate with some help though if you know how to modify apps can you help me with the links? So that I can watch the process and do it for myself. Thank you

If someone can look into it, or ask to PAPER CAMERA developers would be great

Maybe i misunderstand your English translation as you are asking someone to look into or modify an application or one of the XDA users to ask Paper Camera developers instead of you asking them yourself .

Yeah, my english isn't perfect, and I don't see the connection with my post that is there to provide information that could solve a problem on ICS video recording, but hey next time, I could do without the desire to give information / advice. Besides the fact that deletes a post because I made a duplicate unintentionally, and remove the one with full title
I do not ask the developer changed the application of CAMERA PAPER, only to see why it works and making the change in the native android application.
In short, I would have done better to have no consideration, and you want to help you be bored !
great, great <3
as far i understand you video cam doesnt work... am i right? update the ROM or reflash it. its been a while since SGS2 camera works just fine. even on AOSP.

Can't use camera app and camera required apps.

I can't use the camera app. Sing! app by smule is also not working perfectly. When I start to sing with the video recording turned on, it starts recording nicely and my face is shown in the screen through my webcam. But after my recording, i can't see any video that recorded. A black screen is showing instead of that.
So please help me....
I am using Remix OS for PC.
If the camera is not working, it means that the drivers are probably missing from the kernel.
There are threads here that deal with replacing the kernel, so you should checl them as they may help.

Sorry about the late reply, I don't have as much time as I used to have.
As I has already stated, there are multiple threads dedicated to that purpose, you just need to search the subforum, and I stress this, the is a search function, you need to search and read.
And here is a (recent) example of such a thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/remix/remix-os/remix-os-updated-to-kernel-android-x86-t3596789

S9+ - no more video recording button after Pie Update ?!

Hello S9+ Fans,
yesterday I updated my S9+ to Android Pie. Lots of new, nice things.
But in the new camera app the video recording button is no longer available. You have to FIRST switch to video mode and them press recording button. To have two buttons, one for Photos and one for videos was a brilliant, very much loved thing. As when you are 'in action' you simply can decide with one click what you aim to do, without priorly having to switch the modes !
Does anybody know how to get the second button back ?
I am even extremely thinking about bringing the old camera app back if it is not possible with the new one. Is there any way to do this please ?
Sorry if I might have overseen a thread handling this already.
Kind regards
Any fix for this?
First they took out dual camera mode then these "dual shooting buttons"... and moved the clock to the left whyyy samsung??!! Not happy with the Android 9 pie s9 s9+ plus update.
Moving the clock was a Google decision, not Samsung's.

The real fail here is the manual video mode removal :silly:
Very stupid decision
This change is a minor annoyance and I'll adjust but it is an annoyance none the less...
I wonder what the thinking was here? Surely no one can consider this an improvement..
This is a freaking useless change and it's totally impractical. Nobody asked for this stupid change and yet, as usual, Samsung decided to implement it...
With android, you just root and change whatever you want. Or use another application suitable.

Yeah but that's not the point. + with Samsung, if you want to use most of the Knox features, root is a no go.
The point is that a software update removes a feature, which is not only useless but also detrimental to the user.
Hey, at least I can find the video mode now because it says the word "video". I had to spend 10 minutes on google to discover how the hell to record video the first time I wanted to do it on my s9+ because there wasn't anything anywhere that looked like it would make video.

.......and therein lies your answer to why things like this happen...
I'm sure a number of people in this boat complained to Samsung the first time around and so they removed this useful feature.
This is why we can't have nice things...LOL!
We live in a planet full of morons. I can't believe that there are people that they need to see the word "video" to understand the place of the function, but can't understand the red dot, the international symbol for video recording. You are so right, we are doomed to never have good things on this planet.

I'd rather hear his complaint than the ones that can't get used to companies changing things. What's the term I'm looking for? Adapt other die? No, that's to harsh and don't wish death. Get used to it? I don't think that's clear enough. Maybe people should just stop recording things, I mean, if someone did that to you you'd tell them to stop. No, you won't be YouTube rich any time soon kids, sorry
why do we have to get used to "changes from companies" that downgrade the abilities of our phones? You must be trolling, there s no other excuse of your unreasoning way of thinking.
Is there any way to install the old camera still having the two buttons ?
Does anybody have a link to download the app please?
I do see the positive other changes, but rather would use the old version to get my two buttons back.
your only practical choice may be installing a third party video camera app from the play store.

This is not an option for me as it would put me in an even worse situation. Samsung's camera uses the camera at its most. Any other app has not that brilliant pics + vids with that device.
So does anybody know how to bring back the Android 8 cam on S9+ having Android 9 installed ?
Thank you in advance.

This was no red dot, not until you first found the obscure and utterly meaningless red-dotless icon that switched from camera to video mode. That's what I spent 10 minutes on google looking for the first time I tried to record video.

On my Chinese version it do come with the call recorder, working fine.
I find it seriously disturbing that people are still asking for call recorders on their phones. I would be pretty p'd if someone recorded me without my permission and I am pretty sure you would need to make it pretty clear to the other person that you're recording them.
This is just creepy people.

No depends on why you are using it as to whether it's "creepy" or not. Only time I use it is to record calls from businesses especially the ones that say one thing and then say something else the next time you ring. Which I've had alot of times in the past and wished I had this technology back then. I have set mine manually to record certain calls and just use it as backup for phone companies, credit card company's etc.

+1
Useful also in case of harassment, insults and threats.
Moreover recording is still possible on POTS lines, and even on mobiles if using the speakerphone and a separate voice recorder...
I use phone recorder especially for notes during the phone call business.
I miss this!
How to enable it on the European version?

Google has been actively fighting the ability to record raw audio from phone calls for a while. In North America the laws for 'single party consent' are a nightmare, and totally different from one State to the next in the United States. Recording a phone is never illegal, but in most areas "benefiting from it" is if you act on the knowledge gained and the other person did not consent. Tricky court cases, but the laws have been in place forever. They kind of work like slander/libel, where the grieved party has to prove that they have been 'injured' in some way by what happened.
This is why the games with call recorders, where they have a dozen different ways to record audio. Especially on a rooted phone, it should be child's play to record raw audio from those channels - but it has been a battle for a while. Right now the only thing you will for sure be able to do is to record from the mic, which if the phone is on speakerphone will pick up the other person in the call.
Some people say that the modded .apk for ACR Recorder is able to record proper audio without being rooted, but I haven't tried it. You can search for 'Cube+ACR_v2.2.132 Mod' if you want to look for it.

The apk is the easy part, a simple Google search will find it for you. The problem is installing it. It won't install unless it's in the system folder. Pretty sure you'd need to be rooted to get it to work.
