Dual Screen Launcher - LG V60 ThinQ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I'm wondering if anyone found a launcher that works on both screens. I have tried nova, Microsoft launcher and one called split screen launcher. Anybody have better luck than the stock one?

hi
any luck>

Nothing. There is another tread under q and a that says that the Microsoft duo and v60 use a different api for the extra screen. Cross support is probably ruled out. Still waiting.......

I've actually been developing a dual screen launcher for a while now, it's still in early development but there's an internal testing program available and I could always use help with testing and ideas.
It's called Duality Launcher, if you're interested, come visit my sub on reddit for more info: http://reddit.com/r/GrayMatterApps

Check the past right after yours. I'm testing this launcher right now. It's early days, but it's definitely getting there. It's coming along nicely, and the dev will welcome ideas

Is there some kind of macro that can be used when I go home?

Hi Everyone,
I just got this device. I am wondering what the status of Duality Launcher is. Are folks using it? What features does it have? Can someone post some screenshots?
Thanks!

Here's the way to use nova launcher on both screens:
LG Dual Screen Launcher
I have an idea You can try installing some launchers (like Niagara for example) And then set it to launch the app launcher automatically when opening the dual screen. Hope it works for you

[solved] Continious scrolling of home screens suddenly stopped.

Hi,
Up until several days ago/yesterday you could scroll through the home screens in a circular manner( ie swiping the finger in one direction while the last screen would be replaced by the first one). Now all the sudden I see that my screens are like between two walls, when you reach the right or the left end you can't continiue further.
What happened? Is this some change in the settings someone made accidentally?
I've been through them and I see none....
Android 4.1.2.
Thank you!

Launchers are different for each Android version, each OEM and we have tons of custom launchers on Google Play and on XDA...
So it would be helpful if you could mention the launcher you are using.

Uhhh... you got me there. I thought it would be a piece of cake, simply go to the manufacturer website, look at the name of his firmware for your phone andthere you go- but no, apparently you can't download the firmware from LGs official site.
All I can say is that the android version is 4.1.2, and the phone is the phone is LII p710.

LG's launcher app isn't available in your drawer? If threre's no setting to modify the scrolling I think you should take a look at another launcher like Nova.

I haven't actually found any native launcher app that came with the device, but your message prompted me to revisit all of the settings again and I found one that I could swear was not there previously, it is called "Scroll screen circularly", eponymously enough...XD
Anyway problem solved, thx!

Yes I am aware of these. My problem with them is that they add alot of background data seeing as they are whole other launcher. Also they do not "replace" per se as they only overlay it with floating windows. What I want is a full blown retheme and/or replacement of the real launcher

That's all I can think of, I don't believe it's possible yet to totally remove the wear launcher. Android wear isn't yet as customizable as Android for smartphone :/

Yeah would love to have seen layers support like in stock android 6.0 but like that was gonna happen lol. The 5.1 and 6.0 ui are almost identical it's so annoying

That's true. But notice there aren't many ui changes in 6.0 for phones either.
I feel like my watch is more responsive though. I can't say for sure cause I only got the update for a week but still

You may want to check Quick Launcher: free and uses less resources than min launcher (no background services running on phone either).

Try Apollo Launcher, and install the 1.0.9 version (easily found on the web!) as the 2.0 version on the play store now pushes freakin pop ads on your phone, so just manually install on your phone and you will see it solves all of the problems with the port, also check out AppFour products, worth the price for package deal of all of the apps, but the Apollo launcher makes them all a complete package. I wish the Dev at AppFour would design his launcher like the Apollo's product or at least copy the quick app launch built in to the watch face! Good luck!

Might be a stupid question..but
Does CM Launcher not work in landscape mode? It's not rotating and no setting for it. Can't imagine it doesn't in 2018..
What am I missing here?

Samsung calls this a feature of not allowing wallpapers to rotate. Only icons, app drawer, apps, and such rotates. I use Ultimate Rotation Control to assist with rotating icons, app drawer, apps, and such. Yet won't rotate wallpaper, due to Samsung feature of no wallpaper rotation.
I talked to Samsung reps on this. That is when I found out that this is a Samsung feature since Android Oreo. No further information at this point if they are going to change that feature to allow wallpaper to rotate.
I know that this doesn't seem logical.
Sorry.
PS - I am using Nova Launcher.

Thanks for the reply..
Is CM Launcher support DEAD along with so many others?
Trying to finalize on a launcher, before spending a lot of time configuring organizing, etc..Don't want to use a dead(no longer supported launcher for obvious reasons.) Currently using Next launcher and that is now also dead.
Landscape mode and wallpaper rotation works fine in 90% of the launchers including TSF Launcher, I believe CM Launcher's company bought out. Why wouldn't CM Launcher be able to?
I am all about "Eye-Candy" and 3D effects in a launcher. (I know many want more lighter/efficient) TSF Launcher was one of the best.. however the company was bought out and it turned into CM launcher.
So first question, since so many "Eye-Candy" launchers have been dropped or no longer supported.
Is CM Launcher still alive?
Another question is why couldn't CM Launcher use the dead TSF launchers 3D effect ass-on's ?
It's just sad, TSF launcher had so much potential...to bad they got kicked out of the competition Home Launcher game.
Starting with Android Oreo Samsung has changed so that your wallpapers don't rotate in Note 8 (at least without some kind of modification that I don't know of).
That said:
I don't use 3D interfaces on mobile devices since SPB launcher for Windows Mobile 6.x.So I wouldn't know your answer outside of what Samsung reps told me.
Since 3D interfaces are so much different from Google's material design I believe caused the popularity of 3D interfaces to wane on Android. There has been design movement away from "3D" design for awhile now. You see that in iOS, Macs, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Android. Neat as 3D interfaces are, they get in the way from the focus of what these tools are designed for. It is like word processing in VR 3D. Maybe in the future 3D interface designs will get better in not be so distracting from the work at hand for many people. As well as views and tastes will change in the future.

Launchers

Hello everyone, I’m back in the Android family again and I see a lot has changed in the last 3 years. I went into the playstore and don’t see all of the apps I’ve purchased, and I’m assuming that’s because of Android OS compatibility. I was very happy to see some core apps I use were still there, but what happened to the launchers? The variety is nothing like it used to be. At one point in time, I had between 10 - 14 on my phone that were similar but also different for one reason or another. Thankfully Nova Launcher which is my number 1 pick is still available. I think Apex Launcher is also, sadly TSF Shell and Next Launcher are gone. I liked those, but I see Go Launcher is. Now I haven’t used that launcher in at least 7 or 8 years, because they began charging for things that used to be included for free. I remember when that was the top launcher and was worth using. The reviews I see are terrible to say the least. I tried to visit their website and got some message basically stating the site isn’t up as far as I’m concerned. What is going on here, and what could they possibly be selling for an in app purchase for $109? I would never spend that kind of money for an in app purchase. Are there any other good launchers available that I’m missing? I saw a couple of launchers that were based on Windows Desktop layouts, and a MAC OS layout.
Launcher choice
I didn't like how the stock launcher only gave you only a few applications to choose from on the top screen when you were in 'T' mode. I played around with Nova Launcher and changing the options to auto rotate seems to work pretty well. Let me...

Microsoft Launcher seems to also work well with the Wing.
You will lose the Carousel Apps though in swivel mode.
But it seems to take care of the 5 second delay that KLWP has when launching Apps from the Home Screen.
Nova also takes care of that though
Wow that looks good. Is that KLWP also? I haven't played around with a build your own widget since UCCW.

Yes, mainly KLWP. Not really a widget but an entire theme built using KLWP.
It's a fairly steep learning curve, but works well on the Wing

I switched to Nova to play around with KLWP, because I am not entirely sure if Win-X Launcher (NO ADS) is compatible. Its either that, and/or I really just don't know what I'm doing yet. I plan to learn more about to use it this weekend.
I use Total Launcher and have for years. It gives you a blank palette to place any widget, any icon, anywhere. Allows for windows with swipe actions. Use of any icon pack in the play store. Mix and match icon styles. Completely customizable. Works with KLWP and KWGT. Has Tasker plugins.
Overall, IMO its more freedom to customize than any other launcher. You be the judge. Happy Launching...

No, I was asking if you are using the default 1+ launcher, which apparently you are.
I was referring to alternative launchers (home screen) such as Lawnchair, MS, Nova, and others.
looking at the play store reviews ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.oneplus.launcherlooking ) it seems you aren't the only one with issues.
try a different launcher

Thank you for your answer. The link does not work for me... Which launcher do you recommend?
Nova has a huge fan base and is well liked
I haven't used Lawnchair for a while, but it used to be very pixel like
I've been using the MS launcher for several years because I like how it handles the app drawer and home buttons.
Try various ones. If you don't like it just go to settings/default apps, change the Home app back to OnePlus then delete the one you didn't like and try another.
Okay I have recieved an update because phone is not mine, but the owner of the phone already tried changing the launcher to google now launcher. It did not fix an issue. And just to add something to the post the shortcuts are missing after every reboot of the phone and not after updates it was my bad at the first post.
Sorry, of it is happening with the Google launcher and the OnePlus launcher after each reboot try asking in the OnePlus community
