CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled ROMs, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best ROM we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub...
What is PAX?
Our release of Android 10, titled CR-8.0, is codenamed PAX after the latin word for peace and Pax, the roman godess for peace.
PAX provides you with the features you need while keeping the focus on delivering an elegant, smooth, and well polished experience. PAX delivers a set of unique features, like a systemwide font engine that also allows for applying fonts on user apps while supporting user fonts through custom APKs generated on fonts.carbonrom.org. We are confident you'll love it, and there's many more things to discover
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! As always, make sure to do backups.
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server or Telegram group! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
Requirements:
You should start off with the latest OxygenOS on both slots and then proceed to flash Carbon.

Finally CarbonRom Officially for our Oneplus 7

Need a short review please. Great to see another official rom

Is it the same flashing installation process? Nothing special or things that needs to be done before flashing this custom ROM?
Want to give it a try

OP updated with instructions.

sir, thank you for the official build! I want to know how things are with vibration? Is it the same as on the drain? What about the battery?

Thanks for add OP7 to your official support phone. Been using carbon since Nexus 4 and I'm looking forward to flash this

Great. I have to try this ROM as well I guess.
Thanks.
Cool. Love this ROM. Really great.

Very clean and minimal ROM and customizations where you require it.
On the latest weekly build, seems that you can't connect via Bluetooth if you already have wifi hotpsot enabled and vice versa. This issue doesn't exist on LineageOS and stock OOS build, so maybe a bug with rom?
Thanks for the awesome ROM

@DigiGoon
It is very nice rom .thanks man
But FP is very slow and inaccurate .
Running stock rom last version without magisk and default kerenl. Clean flash

Getting error: Packaage is for OnePlus 7, expected OnePlus 7 Pro.
I downloaded correctly from: https://mirrorbits.carbonrom.org/guacamoleb/CARBON-CR-8.0-PAX-RELEASE-guacamoleb-20220320-1455.zip
Any help please?

What is OMNIROM?
Omni is what custom ROMs used to be about: innovation, new features, transparency, community, and freedom. While other ROMs may water down their distributions to ensure they pass Google’s approval, Omni offers you an alternative: an Android distribution that remains compatible, but which doesn’t compromise on your experience. People install custom ROMs because they don’t feel their needs are met by the preinstalled ROM on their device, and Omni is about ensuring your needs are met.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and we know you’re frustrated when you are told, “no bug reports on nightlies.” You want to help out more, and now you can: Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
================================================== =============================
Disclaimer: All the firmwares, custom ROMs, official firmware updates, mods and tools mentioned here belong to their respective developers/owners. You will be doing everything at your own risk. We or the developers cannot be held responsible if you end up damaging or bricking your device.

thnks for your report im try to make more faster and stable rom
any other bug report here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=1189#bugReporter
cheers.
May I ask why you and the other dev put up separate threads for the same ROM from the same source (??) at the same state?
Is it because you are adding, or planning to add, something out of the source?
If not, I really think it would be better to collaborate at this point.

M2P won't be as preety. Just saying.
It optimizes the system by cutting down on the fancy stuff and going for the more responsive and fast route of doing things. They'll be at least 400+mb of ram in the M2P version unlike M2 which usually has less

Will the battery life be same for both version or less for M2P??
Is it possible to dirty flash M2 and/or M2P over RR-Milestone1?
withch is better and more stable ?
if m2p is better why make m2 ?
Is "lblbuild6.zip" the M2 zip for LBL??
If this rom is more smooth than FlexOS... I will reflash my phone for the 5x today !
It's just beautiful the number of ROM which goes out this month !
(MIUI, FlexOS, Vanir, RR M2P, ...) and finally the team Revolution.
Wow. You are Incredible @Furrydaus and the others. :good:
M2 and M2P are different
M2P is more ugly with no gradients but it has more performance. As for battery, I didn't fully tested it.
M2 is more aesthetically pleasing but is slower at times.

All the other ROMs don't have 2 editions. So which of these two scenarios is right?
1. M2 graphics = AICP/CM/PAC/Vanir/FlexOS graphics and M2P graphics are worse
2. M2P graphics = AICP/CM/PAC/Vanir/FlexOS graphics and M2 graphics are even nicer
i dont understand , which one is the best?m2 or m2p?

FAQ
Q) No SD bug after flashing build?.
A)Run these commands in terminal emulator:
su
restorecon -FR /data/media/0
Q)cm12 themes fails to install.
A)Use those kernels having 'themes' added in service_contexts.
Or use a kernel that comes in 'Any-kernel' format. I use ZEN-KERNEL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...3-10-zen1-dollar-drink-night-bfs-msm-t3062814)

OK, you how have both the coolest avatar and set of rom offerings for this device.
I'm flummoxed.
But the anachronistic creation and last updated dates are icing on the cake (how'd you do that?)...looks like I'm posting whilst you're editing.

Thank you! Downloading now! Was saddened when they closed the other thread and stopped building for shamu.
you sir just made my night/day! i absolutely love this rom! thank you! you kick ass!
Just out of curiosity, will this eventually be RRO Layers or continue with CM Themes? Rom is pretty smooth so far. Thanks again
So happy to see this here. Will flash as soon as I get home. Exactly what I've been looking for.
@VECTUS
Hey,
I'm from the SAOSP dev team. We know it's open source and all, but at least as a courtesy we'd expect you to ask permission before opening a thread that's built over our work.
I also see no mention of the original contributors ( except Banks, who is not even a part of the team anymore ). I don't want to sound rude but I never expected this from a mod.

Great and very smooth rom.
Can you add the ability to customize the navigation bar in Candyshop?
I personally prefer the back button to be on the right , not on the left ,which is the default pixel position
Thank you.
@op
Can you make Screenshots immediately editable just after you take them ?
Can you also add to the ability to take a screenshot of part of the screen?
Thanks in advance

CandyRoms Device Maintainer Requirements
If you are interested in becoming an "official" Device Maintainer, we have some basic expectations of a DM, but nothing too crazy. We want to avoid "one hit wonders" that come and go just as fast. So be prepared to show us at least a few months of your source code activities, with proper authorship. You should also be able to use Gerrit code review to push and pick/pull changes.
If you are a device maintainer, want to build/support your device on CandyRoms, and can meet our DM requirements please contact the admins here to be considered.
We mostly need to see some history of your activity, how you use Github (and Gerrit), and maintain authorship. User interaction is considered too, as well as bug fixing and timeframes to do so, so a TG channel link where you are active, or an XDA thread you created for unofficial is recommended.

Hi! I would like to inquiry about, is there any option to show front camera in apps? Because I think it's pretty annoying when an app not using the full screen and there's a black bar at the statusbar because of the notch/holepunch. I tried the full screen apps option inside of the display settings, but unfortunately it's not working. Maybe this is a bug? My phone is Realme 6 (RMX2001) and using the latest Evolution X (5.9)
I found another bug. If the press to unlock enabled inside Pixel Imprint, it will acceps any finger for fingerprint authentication.
When i use to switch normal mode to macro mode in the camera go, it use to stop working.
Any solution..?
evox 5.9.2 is the most optimized rom ever created. This rom is super fast and smooth.Very nice. Huge update.
