The OEM unlocking option doesn't necessarily have to be grayed out to indicate that bootloader is unlocked.
The option has to be enabled tho if bootloader is unlocked.
Try reflashing stock firmware via Odin. Then try to unlock bootloader again.

I tried flashing another rom aswell
As my binary is U, could that be an issue ? Once I click volume up button to unlock bootloader it just restarts nothing else happens

Binary version is not U. It's UX where X is a number. For A10, the latest binary version is U3
Did press volume up or did u hold volume up?

When you root a phone does it also automatically unlock the bootloader?

I used the one click method for my Nexus s 4G... does that method unlock the bootloader also or is there a seperate step?
If you didn't need to wipe out everything on your phone, your bootloader is probably still locked.
To confirm, first turn off your phone (power it off completely) then turn it on while holding the up volume button. This will boot into the bootloader which will display whether or not it is locked.
Also, during a normal boot, you'll see an unlocked padlock icon where the boot loader is unlocked.

Rooting the phone will not unlock your bootloader. But seeing how you have a Nexus, the bootloader is super easy to unlock. Check out the nexus s forum, but I am pretty sure it is just a command in ADB..."fastboot oem unlock". Don't go off of that though, definitely check the forum.
yes using the one click will unlock your bootloader, its how the nexus s devices root
also to get bette rhelp on it next time post in the thread of the tool

Is your bootloader unlocked?
As stated above you need to make sure you have an unlocked boot loader in order to flash any ROMS onto the Atrix. Here is a guide on how to accomplish this task:

You can have an unlocked bootloader and not have "unlocked" on your boot screen.
Please see the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15573674&postcount=1
The only true way to know if your bootloader is unlocked is to check /sys/firmware/fuse/ReservedOdm.

But still he will have to flash the pudding file to make work the unlocked bootloader which is given in the unlocking thread and will display "UNLOCKED" on the bootscreen. He is on failed to boot screen how can he check ReservedOdm he will find about the bootoader when he will use the fastboot command for unlocking which will display "already unlocked" if his phone bootloader is unlocked.

I cant exactly remember the steps but one of them alows you to unlock your bootloader
If its already unlocked then it will give you an option to relock
It should provide all other instructions i havent explained here
when I click the BLU button on flashtool it says connect your phone holding volume down. whe I did that, the proces was cancelled. and I still cant re-lock the bootloader.

Do you have all the drivers installed for Z2, fastboot, flashmode and adb?
Power off your phone
Plug in holding volume down
Blue light should show up

Thanks man! The problem was that I didn't had the "oem unlock" option in developer settings activated!! That's the reason I couldn't unlock it! Thanks!
Now that I have my bootloader unlocked what is the safest method to root it? Do you know?
Install TWRP and flash Super SU. But I didn't tested it yet.

[Q]How to lock bootloader on Xperia 10 plus ?

Hi there . Recently i just rooted my phone and unlocked the bootloader but i want to roll it back to stock status.
I read a lot and i can not understand ,
Is it possible to lock the bootloader on that phone or not ? If yes ,how ?
EDIT : I tried with fastboot commands oem relock but it didn't work .I removed the root but still need to lock the bootlodaer
Hey, you can flash official firmware into your device and get back to the stock firmware without root. But you can't re-lock the bootloader. I have tried so many command in fastboot and any of em doesn't work.

I was able to remove the root manually so no need to reflash stock frimware, but about bootloader still not successed to lock it even via flash tool BLU option. There should be warning that you can't lock it once its unlocked damn..

Yes indeed. I've tried that too. apparently you can't relock the bootloader in newer devices. Only thing to do right now is, hope that Sony will release some kind of commands to relock the bootloader. Unless there's no other way.
