Anyone achieved to get grayscale mode? - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

"Digitall wellbeing" app, should enable this mode when you select "sleep mode" in notification shortcut, in my case, this turns on DND mode but screen remains with color. Anyone know why or how to get "grayscale mode" button (and not going to developer setting>simulate colorspace)? I'm on XIAOMI.eu 11.0.11

OK, I solved it moving "Digital Wellbeing" apk to "priv-app" (system app). For this, dm-verity should be disabled or you'll get bootloop

Hey I found a simple solution for this
( I'm currently in miui 12 btw )
1) Long press the reading mode toggle and switch on reading mode
2) Two option menus will be there in which select that ">" button
3) In colors option select black and white!
There ya go whenever we toggle reading mode we get greyscale!

[Q] pull down menu

has anyone worked out how to edit the pulldown menu on the Sg2?
I would love to know how to remove the Sound Vibration and Auto Rotation buttons from it as i never use them. Would also prefer to have Airplane mode on there instead.
You can have Airplane mode if you press Power button for a second.
Besides I don't think there is a mod out yet which will allow you to modify the Notification menu items, if you want it badly then only option is to go for a Custom ROM.
Regards.

[Q] Wifi won't auto connect

Having a small but annoying issue here.
I find that if I turn on wifi with widgets or quickpanel in SystemUI, the wifi will take very long, or sometimes never auto connect. However, opening up settings and pressing scan results in instant connection.
Thanks in advance.
I don't have your issue and I use a notification panel created by the Power Toggles. (this was not an advertising message)
Try to create a shortcut to the WI-FI settings by:
- long press on 'desktop'
- select 'Shortcuts'
- scroll to the 'Settings shortcut', click on it;
- scroll to the 'Wi-Fi'
I know this is not so fancy like a widget or another setting app, but should be more quickly to access and I think is a workaround for your issue.

How to hide / deactivate the notification bar when power saving mode is turned on?

Dear people at xda,
I've been using OmegaDroid ROM (see omegadroid DOT co ) for more than five years now on different phones. First I want to say thank you to all (you?) developers for creating and improving this great operating system! I bought all the apps to support you, e.g. OmegaDroid Pro.
Here is my question:
Android 5 comes with two power saving modes, the (normal) "Power saving mode" and the "Ultra power saving mode". When the normal Power saving mode is turned on, a notification bar is always shown on the wipe down menu as you can see in the attached screenshot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik...roid-5-notification-bar-power-saving-mode.png
Do you know how to hide or deactivate the notification bar while keeping (normal) power saving mode turned on?
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F
Android version: 5.0
Kernel version: 3.4.0-Omega-1.0 [email protected] #1
Build number: Omega v18 -XXU1POFA
I found the solution!
It is actually pretty simple. Here are the steps:
1. Wipe down the menu so you can see the notification
2. Click and hold the notification until it becomes grey and a little "i" in a circle is shown
3. Click the i
4. You should now see app information for the app "Settings"
5. Uncheck the box "Show notifications"
6. Notification for "Power saving mode" is gone
I don't know if there are any important notifications the Settings app is now unable to show you. Does someone know?

[GUIDE] Easy way to get vibration mode on nougat

After getting my op3t I was quite disappointed when I saw that you couldn't have silent-vibration-normal modes on the slider. Neither you can hold the down volume button to get to vibration mode.
I tried many apps that tried to modify the slider setting but none of them really worked. But finally I came across this.
This app won't substitute dnd for vibration mode but it will give you fast and easy access to vibration mode. Just download it and set the quick setting tile within the first 5.
In the screenshot you will be able to see there is the vibration mode symbol. That is the tile I'm talking about. You only need to press it once to get into vibration mode. And to get volume again you only need to press the volume up button.
But it gets better. Even if you can get to silent mode from the tile. When the slider is on the silent position this title will change to silent and won't change even if you press it.

Working like charm
thanks.

It works very very great. Nice app.
I use Power Toggles.

Camera Flash for Notifications

I know some miss having a notification LED. I went looking for an app to use the camera's flash for notifications. The first several which I tried would not work on the Nokia 8, but I finally found one which does. If I find others that do work, I'll add them to this post.
"Flash Notification for All App." It sadly does have advertisements inside the app. You must set your flash type to "2" in the settings. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manzy.flashnotification&rdid=com.manzy.flashnotification

Thank you, this was of great help! I really miss the LED notification. I think it is a shame that HMD has chosen to omit such a useful function on a flagship telephone as Nokia 8. The only solution is to use the flash LED on the back or the screen. However, to get notifications to work reliable, I found that you need to disable Battery Optimization for the notification app. Otherwise it will not work in sleep mode for some apps.
1. Go into Settings/Battery
2. Push the settings menu (the three blue dots at the top right corner) and choose "Battery Optimization".
3. In the blue drop down menu choose "All Apps"
4. Scroll down and disable battery optimization for "Flash Notification 2"
In the "Flash Notification 2" application you can choose exactly how fast and how many times the flash LED will flash. You can also set the repetition interval and repetition period. You can also choose between to use the flash LED or the screen backlightning or both. And to get rid of the ads is not expensive. The only drawback with the method is that it increases power consumption of the phone.
