I cannot run "WhatsApp", please help me! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hello!
I am using the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact with the CyanogenMod since 2014. Until now I didn't need WhatsApp, but now I do.
There are no google play services installed, so I downloaded the ".apk" from WhatsApp and tried to install it. The installation works, but WhatsApp does not start, it says: "WhatsApp has a problem and needs to be reinstalled ... ".
Does anyone know what it is? Maybe because of the missing google.play services? And where can I get these services for my smartphone/Android 4.4.4. ? As far as I know there are no more CyanogenMod updates for the Xperia Z1 Compact?
My system:
Smartphone: Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Android-Version: 4.4.4
CyanogenMod-Version: 11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-amami
Kernel-Version: 3.4.0cyanogenmod-g1b20e398, [email protected] #1, Tue Nov 11 20:58:01 PST 2014
Processor: ARMv7

Hello!
I wanted! Via the system, i let it check for updates and it reported that no new updates were available? So I thought there weren't any more.

Look in the Xperia Z1 Compact section for an updated twrp and then choice a new rom... The old rom u can't update not more

X10 mini pro is produced in 2010, and mini pro is produced in 2011 so the answer is no, you will not get android 4.0.x from sony

well, thanks to developers, they developed a gingerbread rom for us. and now, we have beta ics rom. it seems like our phone have a new life

Supported models from SONY are those, with SONY LOGO and SONY NAME ONLY. If you have SONY ERICSON logo/name on your phone - it is no longer supported from SONY side. XDA developers supported (unnoficial) all models - so am glad and proud to be here. and thanks to all of them for their great work!

Hi Yesterday, Xperia Blog gives information about an upcoming Video Unlimited update to version 12.0.B.0.3. Anyone downloaded it yet? Recieved this update on my Xperia Z1 Compact but nothing new on my Tablet Z running newest kitkat 4.4.2 update... Is it possible to upload the apk? Thank you very much

Sony confirm update the android 5.0 lollipop for the Xperia Z series? but my Z2a can't get update lollipop? Why? Z2a it's not Z series? WTF sony mobile? :crying:
if you search in the general section of the forum, you will see that sony has released the update only for nordic and baltic regions till now. No other parts of the world received the update.
