Problem installing custom Rom mi 10 - Xiaomi Mi 10 Questions & Answers

Thanks to a member here, I was able to recover my MI 10 from certain death ? and since I now know how to recover it, I decided to take my chances again and installed twrp and the latest xiaomi.eu stable and also the latest globe Rom. The xiaomi. Eu one, keeps crashing almost all my apps, such as chrome, YouTube and so on. And the globe Rom, when installing through twrp, gives me always the same error at the end, it installs the Rom, but can't apply globe Rom modification because can't mount system. It's my 5th xiaomi and never faced such errors, even though I format data and so on and so forth. Do you experience the same? (mi 10)

You can try switch twrp. Also try re-download rom again.

RedMi 3 bricked

Hi!
I flashed CM 13 on my RedMi 3, after some weeks I wanted to go back to XiaoMi.EU MiUi so I wiped dalvik, cache, data and system partitions then I restored the backup but it didn't boot up (it showed Mi logo then it reboots); I tried to make a clean flash but it still didn't boot up.
I flashed latest china developers firmware but it didn't boot up too; I tried with global developers and I found that the bootloader has been blocked (I don't know why), I unlocked it and tried again but it still didn't boot up.
I tried to flash vietnamese unbrick firmware but it stil didn't boot up.
I reflashed CM 13 but it doesn't boot up.
What's happened? I ran out of ideas. :silly:
Sorry for my bad english.

It didn't work. Thanks anyway.
After a lot of experiments I got CM 12.1 working; unfortunately it's the only one ROM that boots. :|
@Anik_khan: Have you ever tried to go back to MiUi from CM 13?
EDIT: Sometimes when I try to turn it off it reboots and sometimes it reboots 5/6 times before boot up.
I tried to flash English unbrick ROM and XiaoMi.EU fastboot ROM too but they don't boot.
On CM 12.1 audio doesn't work. I start thinking that's an hardware fault because I tried all possible solutions.
I tried latest @Anik_khan's CM 13, latest XiaoMi.EU weekly and FlyMe too but they don't boot (on CM 13 I don't even see bootanimation). If I flash a custom Kernel (for example MYKernel) on CM 12.1 it doesn't boot anymore.
I suggest you to go to Mi service center.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x Reboots constantly

Hello, I have a Xiaomi redmi note 4x. I wanted to install a custom ROM, so I rooted it and flashed twrp. Then I installed nitrogen os and when the device booted it showed me the error that the decryption was unsuccessful and I should do a format to fix the problem. I formatted the phone via twrp but then when it booted in nitrogen os the phone was constantly rebooting. After every reboot I continued from the place I had left. So I thought that this was a ROM problem and I flashed Resurrection Remix ROM. The reboot problem continued, so I flashed lineage ROM, but nothing changed. The device was rebooting every 1 minute. At the end I flashed mido global images for redmi note 4 with XiaoMiFlash tool. The MIUI rom was installed but the reboot problem continues. I haven't manage to set-up my language etc. at the start of installation as the device reboots all the time. Also when I should select a wifi network during the installation, it doesn't even scan for wifi network (it's like the device has not wifi).
Any help please?

Did you try installing miui rom from recovery? Maybe the firmware is bugging out. What exact steps do you take when flashing a rom?

I tried and I got an error or the reboot problem didn't stop (I do not remember exactly) . When I was flashing the rom, firstly I did a format in twrp and then installed it. (In twrp I selected to wipe everything except usb-otg and micro sd, which I do not have)

ohh man you dont have to wipe everything. just system, data, cache, dalvik.
Ok so, stock twrp does not support miui zips, so you gotta use redwolf recovery. Try flashing the file with redwolf and reply what happens.
Also format data and wipe before you install miui

I installed MIUI but the phone keeps rebooting. I noticed that when it booted the first time it did this: Firstly at the middle of the screen the mi logo showed up and at the bottom it said unlocked (because my phone is unlocked) and after a while where "unlocked" was it started show the loading animation. This was normal, but after a little time the screen blink and it started all over again and then the phone booted. Again I managed to go up to Network set-up (before it rebooted) but no networks was shown (like i have no wifi)

Random reboot in MIUI, but not on Pixel Experience CAF

Hi. I bought a Pocophone last February. Since then, the phone keeps randomly rebooting and shutting down. I have flashed EU roms, Global & Beta fastboot roms, OTA roms, custom roms etc. But the random reboot problem was persistent through out all roms.
I flashed the latest Pixel Experience CAF rom a few days ago, along with DFE and latest vendor. The phone has not been rebooting and the experience and smoothness was very good, apart from some force crashes in some apps. I flashed the EU rom after the random rebooting was stopped, thinking that may be the problem was solved in a vendor update. Sadly, the issue persists in MIUI rom. So I flashed back to PE.
Now my question is, why is my phone rebooting in MIUI? How was this solved in a PE build? Am I missing something, like a particular step, when flashing a rom? I have searched through a lot of XDA posts but can not find a proper solution. I would like to use eu versions of MIUI as I have been a Nexus and Android One user since Nexus 4 days and now crave something other than plain stock android.
Also, I bought the phone without warranty through an unofficial local store and returning the phone to Xiaomi for checking hardware defects is not possible.
The steps I follow in TWRP is usually:
1. format data, 2. reboot to recovery, 3. wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, data, 4. flash vendor, 5. flash rom, 6. flash DFE, 7. flash gapps, 8. flash magisk, 9. reboot to system

If you really want a miui base I suggest following instructions on say how to install xiaomi.eu which says "FORMAT /data partition (NEVER wipe System or Persist!)"
Start of with a clean miui base installed using fastboot and after that do the following,
1.install twrp or orange fox (any that supports decryption)
2. format data
3. reboot to recovery
4. flash rom, reboot.
5. Setup device, reboot.
6. Flash magisk. Reboot
7. Never ever flash fde/fed just throw that zip in the trash.
8. Do what ever you like, miui is working for you
9. Buy me a beer.

Flashing custom rom not working (recovery loop - messy data folder) MiNote10 (tucana)

Hej everyone,
I flashed a custom rom from mi-globe a few months. It was working great. Then I had the not so incredible idea of updating with latest miui eu 12, because the weekly update from the update menu was not working. It kinda worked, but it got too buggy. So I wanted to come back to a xiaomiEU Stable Rom.
It is now that problems begin. When I flashed miui eu 12, I got recovery loop. Lost all my data trying to fix, but I was able to flash the stock rom via the amazing XiaomiADBFastbootTools in my GNU/Linux distro. It worked! But the main issue is can not flash the custom rom again. I download the custom rom in the internal storage, flash the twrp via fastboot, enter recovery, create full backup, wipe to factory reset and flash the custom rom. Everything seems successful, but then I get a recovery loop again and when I try to restore the backup, the data folder is filled with folders and files with random chars in the names. Apparently the data folder becomes read-only for some reason as well. Then I have to flash the stock rom and tried everything again. I have done it at least 5 times now. I have searched a lot for some solution and nothing works
I have tried the OrangeFox recovery and the mi-globe rom, same issue. I really want a custom rom :fingers-crossed:, but I have no idea what to do anymore. If I could at least restore my backed up stock rom, it would help a lot.
Please help me out and sorry I posted in the wrong section.
