[Q] How can CWM be built in a kernel?
Well, the difference between and old version and a recent one is that the newer version has more features and maybe some bug corrections. Just like Windows 7 and 8, or iOS 6 and 7...
It's pretty hard to update your phone by yourself. You would need to learn about bootloader, firmware, rom, recovery...
And then, you should have a custom recovery. You should port Android 4.4 for your phone, and flash it through the recovery.
And maybe you would need to unlock the bootloader.
PS: What phone you have?
Sorry for my bad english.

Hello! How to upgrade already rooted g925I to rooted marshmallow?

Hello all,
I have a galaxy s6 g925I on 5.1.1 and am using Xstreo Lite version 2.4 and TWRP version 2.8.7.1.
I am wondering how to upgrade to a rooted version of marshmallow (preferably using xstreolite again). But as I understand it, the process is a bit more complicated than usual. Therefore, my questions is a simple one: how do I so keeping into account all the new steps (updating the boot loader, updating TWRP version etc).
I tried searching but could find nothing that compiles all the information or says it at one place (or I might just be deficient in searching. Apologies in advance!)
Thanks so much.
Cheers!
Hi! Thanks for the reply. But if I do this won't I lose my root? Also will smart switch work with a already rooted phone?

Honor 5x hardware differences?

Hey everyone,
I've just bought a 5x (a KIW-L24) expecting to be able to install Lineage. I have had issues trying to do this, and the error I'm getting indicates that I need to update to stock Marshmallow before I can do this.
I can install the C567B130 ROM (United States,Channel-Others) firmware successfully, but there's no Marshmallow patch or version. Both of the other stock ROMs (C567D003 and C567B140) cause a bootloop if I attempt to install them.
Does anyone know whether there are hardware variants that may account for the issues I'm facing? Failing that, can anyone recommend an alternative ROM that I can upgrade to from an Android 5.1 stock ROM?
Thanks!

Huawei P20 lite flash firmware

Hello guys. Happy New year.
So, I have this P20 lite ANE LX-1 8.0.0 1.4.4 (IRL C368)
I don't get OTA updates for 1.5.6 or higher. Can I flash the c362 firmware using dload thing? Never done it but seems simple. I am asking you because I don't want to mess up with my phone. I just want to have the turbo gpu and the gestures, things that I cannot find in 1.4.4. update.
So, what should I do? Thank you very much in advance.
PS: the phone it's stock, nothing changed.

Possible to flash SM-205W (Canada) to stock ROM with Android 10?

Hey guys,
Canada has not received the Android 10 update for the A20 (SM-205W). Is it possible to flash the stock ROM from another country? I'm looking for a stock Samsung Android 10 experience as I would be using this to test my apps, so no custom ROMs.
Did you get this figured out?
I am kinda looking for the same thing lol. I have SM-A205W from Canada on Android 10. I am trying to flash stock rom but it has frp lock and oem lock on. So i have tried to find a combination firmware that works to no avail. Did you manage to get yours flashed?
No sorry, I never needed to since it got the Android 10 update!
