Since today we were informed Asus is selling usa models by themselves, Asus, Amazon, B&H, mobileadvance.
And for suppose 12gb/512gb, part number is mentioned as 90AI0032-M00420 (US)
I have only enquiry, can anyone explain the difference between this US model and the Taiwan model. Which has part number as 90AI0032-M00350 (Taiwan)
I am a small reseller and wish to gain any difference info. As the Taiwan model is available to me from overseas at 899 USD. And this US model is for 999 USD. (both at 512/12)

LMFAO, they are both a version, so both the SAME, ZERO difference.
They are the same. The different part number is because of the charger pin and voltage.

No idea why everybody is talking about that it is locked? The Pocophone was inteded for the european and indian market and that is why these bands are unlocked out of the box. There is no US version or something so that is why probably these bands are locked. If you want a US version I would wait for Xiaomi to bring out the official one
I've just ordered the 256Gb Reno 10X from Amazon Spain which they are shipping internationally to me. The website does not make it clear, and they do not seem to be sure, whether the one they have is the Chinese or International variant. Will it be obvious when I get it which it is - the model number on the box or anything else? How can I tell?
Amazon Spain will ship the international version usually, of course you will see what version is inside the box once you got it.
Chinese version is PCCMOO, international should be something with CHP1919 or something like this...

Thanks. I'm sure you're right. I just wanted to be sure whether it is obvious which it is when it arrives. Amazon confirmed that they would pay for my returning it if it is the wrong one.

With the 8GB/128GB variant here in India, we didn't get extra of these rubber tips.

I'm not surprised. 8GB RAM and 128GB version is called Tencent version and that one is a cheaper version of Asus Rog phone 2 so it does not come with all premium stuff that the global/elite edition does.

Actually, The 8gb/128GB version released india is not a Tencent Version. its a ROG version.
The Tencent Version is only for the Chinese Market. The tencent Version also comes in 12GB Ram/512GB Flavors.
I emailed Asus about the rubber tips and have yet to hear back from them

Wrong, tencent is apparently available in China, India, USA and few more countries and only comes with 8GB/128GB according to Asus and all the googling results and that is Rog phone 2 still. While Global is elite edition of Rog phone 2.
Only global version comes with 12GB/512GB.
So far I have not found any site or a video showing tencent version with 12GB and 512GB.

I don't use VPN and Google hasn't given me any proof of tencent with 12GB/512GB and I doubt that banner image is really tencent version. Secondly when I Google up Asus rog phone 2 tencent version. I get over 20 results about tencent version with 8GB/128GB but 0 results of 12GB/512GB so I still think that banner picture is misleading or they possible just cheated a bit by using same phone picture.
If you check etc YouTube you will find all sorts of people reviewing tencent version from USA, India and much more. Unless they bought theirs off China market.

That is precisely what is happening throughout the world, with myself included. I bought the cheaper tencent subsidized version.
There's even a thread with a guy that got both the 8gb and 12gb tencent versions and was comparing LTE bands. Everything is fake?
The tencent versions were only in china, malaysia, and few other markets. If you see it somewhere else, its imported. That banner was taken from Asus Official announcement in china back in june or so.
Announcements for the Chinese market are sometimes done through other channels for example Weibo or other news outlets.
Again, if you see a tencent CN model, it came from the Chinese or SE asian market. That variant was never sold by asus USA directly. Anyway, I'm unsubscribed to this thread now.

Looks like there's so many variants out there, with different versions for different regions its all very confusing.
Better wait for few more months guys, there's no clear information regarding which region will have which version bands because there are global variant of the device with both version A & B bands out there.
I've removed previous info as to not create a confusion.
Is the US version that is coming out going to be version A? Or different?

Only version A according to US product tech specs page.
6A020EU is NOT an a version. It doesn't have the extra bands.
As per bs3pro please confirm if the EU versions are A or B.

Both 6A020EU and 6A021EU are B versions. I looked up both on ASUS's German eShop and both have the CDMA bands of the B model listing (short so easy to compare).
I don't think I've seen any A listings yet so I'm not sure what to search for to find those model IDs. Would it be so hard ASUS to list them on the product page?

The taiwan version is a. Has all the a version bands. It's $2k. LMFAO. Just waiting until end of September to buy a na global from Asus.

That's weird, some other 6A020EU have all the version A bands like Belgium & Spain, so band support is different depending on region?
ASUS Germany lists only version A in their product page and then has only Version B device for sale in their store?

According to this article, Looks like the ROG Phone 3 has shown up on the FCC list. That makes it one step closer to official release.
