HL-PC1088-HD new android - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, im new in android and i`m looking for how to install new firmware on my android netbook HL-PC1088-HD. Biggest problem i have is keyboard language i want to change it but it`s not working. :crying: Also i change the keyboard for another one with another layout and in fact it`s not the problem with keyboard but in firmware. Can somebody help me how to open recovery mode and install new software?

To flash a firmware other than the stock one you as 1st thing of all things have to install a custom recovery: the stock recovery only allows to flash stock firmware.
Wondering why you don't simply install GBoard - the Google Keyboard?

[Q] Arabic fonts

Hey guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy Vibrant from T-Mobile. I was successfully able to root it and able to load the Clockwork Recovery from Rom Manager. I'm wondering if there is a possiblilty to load Arabic fonts on this phone with the letters fully connected. I tried looking up a CM rom to load then flashing an Arabic package (as various Android phones from T-Mobile does this), however, there is no CM. So is there a different way, perferably one that allows me to keep my current 2.1 update software?
Hi,
I notice it is possible to change the default fonts file to another one. So I think what about to change a font include Arabic characters? I'm not sure about it , But you can have a try..

[Q] Norwegian Stock Keyboard

I've sucessfully flashed
XXKG6
Android 2.3.4
This package has: PDA:XXKG6| PHONE: XXKG6| CSC:XEUKD1
Download:
XXKG6 Stock Kernel:
Password:
and rooted via CF-Root
Thing is I cant find a thread that would guide me to installing stock samsung keyboards. I need the scandinavian keyboards and dictionarys...
can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
I've never managed to install Norwegian keyboards/dictionaries on ROMs without them, haven't got the know-how. Never found a guide/tutorial for installing extra languages either, but can't say I've looked too much..
Leo's custom ROM Revolution has Norwegian support for KG6 in the newest version - 2.5 - I believe (haven't tried it yet, still on 2.4).
I got Better Keyboard from the market, it's grown on me so much it's my default now.
Lykke til
Well wow, way to bump, but anyways, you think this'll work on ICS?
You see, I kind of have a problem with finding a replacement keyboard, with Norwegian Layout and the three scandinavian letters "Æ Ø Å"
Sure, they're there but not as their own button.
And I couldn't extract the stock samsung keyboard from the Android 4.0.3 "Samsung Version" either :C
For the stock keyboard go here:

Not sure about Norweigen layout though

[Q]how to put stock chinese keyboard to other rom

most of rom do not have stock chinese keyboard
anyone know
how to extract stock keyboard & and put into other rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1075278
http://www.multiupload.com/RLEHXYE5UG
here is the hong kong rom show in upper xda thread
do anyone know the method?
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189122
But I guess you either have to use an odexed rom or deodex the files yourself. I am using a deodexed rom (Cognition) and copying the chinese input files doesn't work for me.
Also here are some roms (LeoMar75 Revolution, Cognition, Litening) that are supposed to have chinese input added: http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=568&t=2188818&last=30702086
I have not tried these though. They haven't been updated for all of the new versions.
Unless you have particular affinity for the stock keyboard, just download sougo from android market, much easier.
The fullscreen handwriting in the stock Samsung keyboard is pretty good. Not all of the Chinese keyboards on the market support fullscreen. I know Baidu does, but not sure about Sougo.
I also like Google Pinyin (from Market) for typing traditional characters with pinyin.

Going back to stock rom on Xperia mini pro, but I need the right keyboard layout

i tried to root my old Xperia mini pro and flash it with cyanogenmod 9.1 some time ago. I experienced some issues, for example that the hardware keyboard did not work as i wanted it, and that i couldn't change the layout, so i decided to go back to stock rom...
But now, I can't find the right rom to flash it with - all the roms I have tried, is the wrong layout for the H/W keyboard.
So more specifically, I'm looking for the stock rom with the Danish/Nordic Layout (we got some special letters like Æ, Ø, Å, which are quite crucial!). If anyone knows where to find that specific rom with that specific layout are you more than welcome to post it (and i will thanl you for all eternity!!)
Here should be the right ftf for you. It's an old gb rom (4.0.2.A.0.42), but you could update with pc companion on ics and flash a prerooted kernel to gain root again
