Netflix error 500.-116 - Xiaomi Mi 10 Questions & Answers

Since today in the morning I am getting an error when whatching Netflix. Yesterday everything worked fine. I saw the Netflix app got updated during the night but even affer I downgraded I still get ghe same error affer approximately 5 min of watching. The app shuts down with the error code 500.-116. I then have to restart my phone to make Neflix work again, but it soon crashes again.
I am runing miui 12 global rom and have been for a month now. Everything worked fine till today. Anyone else? Google gave me no useful answer.

When I am on miui 12 global rom I cannot run Netflix. It simply cannot be installed. However I can run Netflix without problem on eu miui 12 rom.

There are multiple types of error in netflix. I have made a guide related to the same. It's is almost complete. I will drop down the guide link here when it is finished.

3.2.1 Update in US

Just upgraded right now. Didn't test it yet.
updated an hour ago. i had error opening the ps store and video unlimited app after the update. but it works fine now after i restart the device. i guess it just needed a restart. screen rotation does seems faster and performance does seem a little smoother. i dont notice any thing else different yet.

MIUI nonstop vibrating.

I've searched and couldn't find. My bad if i missed it.
So I flashed MIUI and followed the steps of each MIUI rom thread. Everything works perfectly except for one thing. The GPS. It seems that everyone gets the gps to work except for me o.o. well it worked once but after that each time i load up the gps, the app freezes and my phone keeps vibrating. (i have to set the phone to silent using volume keys to stop it) after i stop it every time i hit my home key it vibrates again, nonstop. then everything i try to start up FCs anyone got a solution for this ?
i tried the privacy>reset phone thing but didnt work either.
i've also tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1370910
by the way i tested this with other roms. every rom i tried it on worked. the only roms that didnt are the MIUIs (all of em)
and no i did not drop the phone in water nor is there any sort of damages to the phone.
Have you tried other kernels, my Galaxy Brethren?
yes. i've tried just about every kernel that supports miui.
BUMPPP

If you are gettting it with Google maps - I think its a known bug. I got it all the time to.
Try flashing MIUI via my guide.
So it seems like there are two threads about the exact same issue. Here is the same answer repeated again:
I had this same problem for awhile. I used the Yet Another GPS fix and after that I would wipe the GPS data and force it to download new data. This would fix it every time.
THEN today I updated to the new MIUI-112300 and it worked first try without me having to tweak anything.
Good luck!
I've had the same problem - Using Lithium 360 (another MIUI) rom. I haven't checked to see if it's still happening after updating to Volt.
since I don't need GPS too often, it's usually off but last I checked I still had this issue going into Google Navigation I believe.
I'll try Lizeroy's fix and check it out today.

Youtube app, "Connection to server lost."

Hi there,
First time poster - So, "Hey guys!"
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (Hence the post in this sub-forum,) running on Cyanogenmod 9 (10/04) nightly.
For quite some time, i've had issues with loading videos from the youtube application on my mobile network. Wifi works perfectly fine.
Whenever I go to load a video, it always comes up with, "Connection to server lost, touch to retry."
I'm able to bypass this, by enabling HQ (On or off) and the video loads perfectly.
However, this is only a work around - The issue still remains. It's quite annoying, as It's worked once or twice in the past (This was when I was running stock, without root.)
I've tried everything I can think of. (Reflashing to stock (Rom and kernel,) rebooting, fixing permissions, clearing dalvik cache etc, etc, etc...)
I searched for this exact issue all night last night, and half the day today at work - All to no avail.
Does ANYBODY have the same issue and or know about fixing it?
Many thanks,
Josh
Uninstall ur youtube and install again from play store. Or try to remove google account and re-enter ur account.
I am having the same problems.
Does this not have something to do with the 4.0.4 data problem that has been reported?
Reinstalling youtube doesn't help me.

just refresh it a couple of times .. works for me
OK I messed about with different ROM versions and nothing happened even after a factory reset.
Also updating youtube didn't work.
However I have just installed the latest build 31 of Team Kang and installed an older gapps package from Feb 12 (instead of the Mar 12 package).
Youtube then updated itself automatically on reboot and now works fine off wifi.
It didn't have anything to do with 4.0.4. I stand corrected.

I have a Galaxy S2 running CM9RC1 and I'm having exactly the same problem. I've tried GApps packages signed from March and April to no avail.
YouTube's mobile site works fine. The YouTube app works fine over WiFi. It fails to load any videos when I'm connected using 3G though and returns the error above.
I've tried a factory reset, cleared cache, uninstalled/reinstalled the YouTube app, tried enabling/disabling HD from within the YouTube app, tried a number of different APNs, selected/deselected the option to preload videos, ensured my flash player is up to date, reflashed CM9 and reinstalled GApps. I've been Googling a couple of hours now and I'm beginning to lose the will to live! :crying:
Everything worked fine prior to me rooting my phone and flashing CM9. I was originally running the official Vodafone UK ICS rom.
I'm beginning to lose faith that I'll be able to fix the problem so would appreciate any suggestions?
TIA,
Bob.
Edit: Well no sooner have I posted that I think I've managed to crack it. I navigated to Settings > Location Services > GPS Source, and noticed that the radio button to use the internal GPS wasn't depressed. I selected it, backed out and now things seem to be OK.

I'm having the same problem. My GPS Source was also unselected but selecting it hasn't made any change to the situation. I'm not sure how GPS can effect Youtube performance?
I've had the same issue with youtube on both my Epic Touch 4G (Galaxy S2) and Nexus 7 device.....but only at my house. Youtube works perfectly elsewhere. Can it be something with my home wifi network? The nexus 7 is wifi only and I have never been able to get youtube to work at my house but it works when connected to other wifi networks elsewhere. Also, my mother-in-law is visiting this week and her kindle fire will not play youtube while in our house, getting the same "Connection to server lost, touch to retry" error message.
All signs point to something being up with the wifi network but I don't know how to solve this issue.
Wound up being Comcast's throttled DNS. All good now.

Try looking at the apn you are on in your settings. Mine was on EPHRD. Moved it ti LTE and now you tube is working again.
I have the SGN2 WITH SPRINT.
disable "restrict background data" from data usage. or if you have any firewall apps disable it then try. hope it will work for you as like me.
sorry for my bad english

Issues after latest 5.1.1. Update on S6 Edge

I notice after the 5.1.1. update recently. My phone starts to overheat (severely) you can cook bacon on it. I have done factory reset, wipe cache partition and still the overheating issue.
2nd, battery drains very fast. Before, i use my phone for more than 24 hrs. now maybe less than 16 hrs.
anyone had the same issues?
Try updating your prl and profile. It sounds like a searching for network issue.
I have another problem after last update. I can't connect to internet. I connect, via wifi or mobile data, and every page I open says "Connection refused". Even whatsapp, even chrome, even everything. So I restart the phone and works for 1 minute more or less, and then the same. So I downgraded to first 5.1.1 and works perfectly.
So strange

Hey there. I`m having similar problems with wifi since last 5.1.1 upgrade. How did you do to downgrade to the first 5.1.1? Thanks a lot!
