Yes, you can. But all your data will be deleted, so back up everything before doing so.

Unlock Bootloader and flash official MIUI fastboot rom. DONE.

Have to keep unlocking every time I want to flash

Hi All,
So I have a strange problem, I applied for the official unlock via Xiaomi, then ended up getting a replacement phone because the audio jack wasn't working. I thought I would try to unlock the replacement (same phone, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Snapdragon) - the unlock works however it appears to lock straight away after I've flashed something, meaning I need to do the whole unlock every time, is this normal?
So that's been happening for about a week, then today my phone goes into a bootloop with MIUI 7 Global on it, I installed it maybe two days ago. Now strangely enough, any MIUI ROM I try will have the same issue and I've done the full flash with MiFlash and a fastboot image, including the one I know I flashed about 2 days ago. However CM 13 works just fine.
I'm at a complete loss of what's going on here.
TLDR:
1) Have to unlock every time I want to flash, otherwise the bootloader is magically relocked.
2) MIUI will no longer flash, despite it working fine earlier tonight. I've tried 6, 7 and 8
My phone was officially unlocked from global dev rom. Used mi flash changed to cn miui 7 dev rom, always used alka twrp to flash full rom and now was updated to latest miui 8 cn dev rom without problems and my phone remained unlocked. Importance your phone must be log in to mi account else may had problem.
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
The thing is
If you have lollipop bootloader and if you try to flash Marshmallow roms (with marshmallow bootloader)
your bootloader gets relocked
Some CM 13 roms uses lollipop bootloader so some roms dont relock your bootloader
This is normal
Even if you try to flash a fastboot rom with CM 13 previously installed on your device, it will relock the device

Downgrade from Flyme 7 Global to Flyme 6 Global

Is it possible to downgrade from Flyme 7 Global to Flyme 6 Global, both Stable versions? I have Pro 7 Standard M792H.
If positive, can someone post the right steps? Also, where can I download Flyme 6 Global Stable for Pro 7?
As long as I used Flyme 6 I didn't check if Root is possible on Global ROM? Can someone confirm this? (this is the main reason I want to downgrade to Flyme 6 - I'm hoping Root could be possible in a Global ROM).
Thanks.

Thanks, since my first post I found that I can downgrade, upgrade and perform root on every ROM, Global and China, new and old
Guys, can you please tell me how to downgrade from Flyme 7 to Flyme 6?
I tried to factory reset from options and hard rest with Power+Volume Down, but it is always starting Flyme 7 again.
I found info from this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/meizu-m2-mini/how-to/rom-flyme-6-2-1-0g-t3889893
that it is possible somehow to install it, but I don't know how? Someone told that he put this "update.zip" file on the root, but my root is only 1.4GB and there is only 25MB free...

You have to turn off your phone. After half a minute, turn it on by keeping pressed Volume Down and power button. After the screen lights up, let go the buttons. The phone will boot into Recovery. After Recovery is loaded, connect it to the computer and transfer your ROM into the drive that opens (Recovery). Just make sure the ROM file has the name update.zip. After the transfer, check both options in Recovery and touch Start button. The phone will perform the update (downgrade in your case) and will reboot. If you chose the right ROM file, everything should be ok. If not, the update process will fail and the phone will reboot the existing ROM.
Nothing could go wrong, the internal storage remains untouched but the system will be refreshed and all apps and settings will be lost.
My Pro 7 is M792H Global version.

Worries about system modification

Hi, my note 9 pro jut arrived, and it turns out that MIUI dropped their dialer, calendar and message apps on european phones, I wanted them back so I want to install xiaomi.eu ROM, but I am aware that google has been a little [bleep] with bootloader unlocking, my questions are simple
Will safetynet Pass even if I don't install Magisk?
I've heard something about altering the /persist partition will make the device to lose any HD video playback capability, is there a way to back it up? dd'ing I guess?
Can it be restored?
I will not touch anything until I have any consistent answer, but the google thing really pisses me off (anyway I have to wait the seven days before applying for unlock)
Thanks in advance
I'm using the Note 9 Pro global version. If you unlock the bootloader then SafetyNet will fail but locking the bootloader fixes this issue on stock miui. You won't be having SafetyNet related problems with xiaomi.EU even if you root it with magisk.

My phone didn't receive the Android 11 update.

According to the people on reddit it is because I have debloated my phone. I also tried to install the Pixel Experience Plus custom rom at one point but it didn't work, I did reinstall the stock recovery an relocked the bootloader after that.
I did factory reset it and even flashed it with an ozip file still no update.
also found an ofp file for the Android 11 update but relme flash tool wouldn't work with it.
Is there any other way to manually update it or force it to update?
Thanks in advance.
Do you really want it?
I think it's a bloatware dud.
The "security" is not needed and comes at a stiff price as you will see if you load it.
Scoped storage sucks.
Rule #1, if your OS is running fast, stable and fulfilling its mission... let it be.
You do make a good point.
But if it is possible and I don't like it I can always reverse to Android 10.
At this point I just want to try it out and try the Pixel Experience rom.
If it isn't, well both my phone and I will survive.

You can go back... as long as it doesn't update the boot loader version too.
As a Samsung user I'm all too aware of that trick.
I would investigate what advantages R has over Q that would benefit you. Scoped storage isn't fully implemented on Q apparently and seems to run as well maybe better than Pie. In Q it's scoped storage in all it's blazing cpu cycle sucking glory.
Is there anyway to do it using adb?
I got Realme 7 Pro from Amazon Warehouse with somehow broken security - figerprint scanner didn't work and the phone didn't want update itself thru OTA, even with relocked bootloader and when connected via VPN to Germany, Italy etc. It actually updated to Android 11 C23 using OTA when I changed phone's region to Singapore using the service code. Then I was still able to go back to Android 10 using OZIP file (like described in this guide), or it was also possible to flash individual img files from fastboot using adb as described here. But OTA updates and fingerprint scanner were still broken until I sent the phone to Realme service and they reflashed it completely within warranty - after that fingerprint sensor works properly and I got OTA update to Android 11 C26 right after connecting to Germany over VPN.

Installing a custom rom

Hello
First of all, i know its risky and i don't mind it, because the emui os is totally ****ty. So i was trying to install a custom rom, but i ended up in a big unknowness. Recently I installed a custom rom on a samsung device, but that doesnt compare. My version of the phone is ANE-LX1, having EMUI 9.1.0.392. From what i know i should get an unlock code from dc-unlocker (however i totally don't know how ) and then just type some commands and get to TWRP, but from what i read there are a lot of errors so if anyone is very kind and guides me i will be very happy.
Take care!
Dc-unlocker doesnt work on emui 9. You have to go back to emui 8 to use it. And if i recall corretly you can't use emui 8 dload packages while emui 9 is installed. You can however use hisuite to rollback to 8. Dc-unlocker doesn't work in the version hisuite puts you to. So you have to downgrade little more with dload packages. I unlocked mine in build .125 or something. Just follow any youtube video demonstrating dc-unlocker once you're back in one of the compatible versions. Dc-unlocker is not your only option btw. You can use a tool called potatonv to get your code. With dc-unlocker you mess with software but with potatonv you have to short some pins on your phones board. Software or hardware, choose your poison.
Ok i understand now. However it's not the unlock problem, but after the unlock i don't know how to flash to TWRP. Can you please tell me what to do?
And one more thing @Frax3r . I was planning to install Pixel Experience 11 plus from @-Alf- , and it requires emui 9. If i unlock the bootloader on emui 8 i can upgrade then to emui 9? Thank you

Yes,
- via System (OTA) update,
- via HiSuite & PC
- using dload method & Service ROM (aka full stock ROM).
Ok thank you very much. I'll keep you in touch if something happens.
Cheers
No problem
