After failing to find the latest RUU i found an old Nandroid that i had and so i proceeded and flashed it on and flashed the boot image as well and the phone booted up and everything is perfect.
however, as i said, this is an old nandroid so it had the old build 1.14 i think and i received a notification with the OTA update for 1.17... and so i downloaded it and when it restarted trying to flash it on, it went to CMW and failed to install it.
so i relocked the bootloader, hoping this would help, but now when i try to install the OTA update, it just boots to the bootloader and doesnt do anything.
what should i do, please help
for official OTAs you need an unrooted phone with locked/relocked bootloader and stock recovery

If you flash the RUU, you will get the stock recovery and also you should be able to receive the OTAs

i tried that before but my HBOOT version is newer than of any of the available RUUs so i get the 140 error.
i found the stock recovery from somewhere and it's fine

Hi. One of the chance to solve your problem is like this:
1. do a full backup of your contacts; reflash stock firmware 124 ROW or Chinese Firmware.
2. reboot at least one time.
3. perform OTA update.
4. Voila KK.
5. Follow the instructions in my post and reinstal TWRP and then Root.
Second way is to flash only stock recovery from your firmware then ota update.
To do that you need stock firmware, open flash tool, load scatter file, unceck every thing except recovery, check DA DL ALL WITH CHECKSUM, then press Download and only now plug your cable in the phone.
So if you've updated to the new security patch. It patches twrp. Meaning you can flash it. But it instantly get patched by the stock recovery. Im thinking if we can find a way to downgrade the firmware. We can get twrp and root and the custom roms :highfive: Bc
we can use the fastboot to get into twrp and flash something to downgrade us but thats about it. If you can Id really love the help of you guys! Just don't update to the new patch. I did with twrp causing this whole mess on my end .

it's common sense you need stock recovery and stock system to use an OTA update.
And yes if you choose to install an OTA update with TWRP installed it will get replaced with stock recovery.
It's no big deal you can use the dload/update.app method to update the phone and then simply boot TWRP and Install the TWRP.img from TWRP
by using Install / Image / yourTWRP.IMG

1)You could unroot via supersu if you rooted with it, then
2)You could restore the stock recovery and stock boot partition found in your firmware files.
3) If not working, you'll have to flash firmware to a stock build.
By the way, the stock backup app is working great.
Can you actually download the update via ota on your rooted B150?
Does your capacitives buttons are actually working on rooted B150?

I have a F3212 model with Marshmallow, build number 36.0.B.2.109, baseband MOLY.LR11.W1535.MD.MP.V42.T1, and my bootloader is unlocked but the phone is not rooted and I didn't install TWRP. I don't receive any OTA updates and everytime I try to update to Nougat through Flashtool I end with a bootloop and the phone is not usable. What can probably go wrong? Is it because I am flashing a wrong version of the firmware? Is it because I don't flash properly? I need help please, any tutorial telling me what to do exactly. Thanks in advance
