Why do you want to use that chinese crap? There are far better alternatives out there. Any specific feature you are missing? Anyway, for your solution, you can try extracting the apk from recovery rom zip and install it again or download it from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaom...-2020101000mivideo-gp-2-android-apk-download/

Is there any rom for the G9650 variant without Facebook pre installed?

The title says it all, I'm looking for a G9650 (Snapdragon) rom without Facebook pre installed
I'm currently using the ZTO unbranded ROM and it came with only a few apps, which is great, basically some Google Apps, MS Office and Facebook, but I want to use a modded Facebook app and it's impossible to remove the Facebook app without root, and I don't want to root because I'll lost Samsung Pay.
Is there any solution for my scenario?
I have the chinese version and it does not contain Facebook neither google apps (playstore and google services ..) i did install them from apkmirror

I'm no expert. But if you open the APK of the modded app, it's just a compressed file, you can rename it and install it side by side with the old app.

Google Dialer and VoLTE

Hi guys,
I got my Xperia 1 last week but I have a couple of questions I cannot find the answer to.
1. Has anyone managed to get VoLTE working on Three in the UK? VoLTE Provisioned is disabled and greyed out in the phone testing menu (*#*#4636#*#*)
2. To troubleshoot the above I loaded on the customised UK firmware from XperiFirm which didn't help, but in doing so I've lost the ability to install Google Dialer from the Play Store. When I try to sideload the apk I get an error about a missing module. When I got the phone it came with Google Dialer and it was installable from the Play Store.
Thanks!
Wow really you had Googler dialer when you first had the device? I noticed the Xperia 5 had it but didn't realize the Xperia 1 had it also.

It did, but no matter which FW I flash I cannot get it back. It's weird.
I would also like to know which firmware customization the google phone app has pre-installed.
Has anyone figured it out yet?
Otherwise I have to flash all customized firmwares and look which has it xD

Can't answer the question about VoLTE, but which APK did you manually try to install?
I've got the customized NOBA firmware on my X1, and while it didn't have the Google Dialer preinstalled, I got the APK from APKMirror and now my phone even gets updates for the dialer app through the Play Store.

For some reason, I was unable to get the dialer from the store and I had to download the APK. The contacts app however, was available from the store.
I am from Austria and have the EU customization. I can not install the Google phone app from playstore, because my device is not compatible. I think, this is due to the missing of the google dialer framework.
But we actually have Android 9. Android 10 was not released yet in EU customization.
Is this a normal behaviour with Android 9?
Do you guys know, if they just made the phone able to install the google phone app with android 10?
Edit:
With latest Android 10 it is possible to install the Google phone app, therefore, solved for me
thanks

!!PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE CONTINUING. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY!!
I've managed to get VoLTE working on the Xperia 1 by using a guide given to me and I'll share what I've done to you now, I've only tried this on Android 10 not Android 9 If your on A9 then try it at your own risk.
1. Root
2. File Manager with root support
3. Go to /oem/modem-config
4. Delete "anysim" folder
5. Rename "S9033.1" to "anysim"
6. Go here " https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80231731&postcount=395" and download "VoEnabler.zip" From the Google Drive link
7. Put "VoEnabler.zip" onto your device and install via Magisk and reboot.
8. You should now be able to use VoLTE and VoWiFi.
I asked why this wasn't enabled from the start and got mixed responses, though the most common was: Three UK doesn't sell the device so they told Sony not to enable it.

Automatic call recording POCO X3

Friends now Automatic call recording can be enabled by installing Boldbeast call recorer. Remember to select mode 12 in settings.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAgb9-Wifp8
On xiaomi.eu ROM, call recording works out of the box (you can set to automatically record all calls)
Can you please explain more?

xiaomi.eu ROM's have call recording option in dialer app, also have option for automatic call recording, but you need to unlock bootloader to flash xiaomi.eu ROM. See my screenshots below:

or even her on XDA we have thread for POCO X3: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc/how-to/rom-xiaomi-eu-rom-poco-x3-nfc-t4165247
You don't need to flash anything, you can stay on global rom to have automatic call recorder. You need to follow this tutorial https://how2foru.com/how-to-record-phone-calls-on-your-android-phone_457/. If you want to unlock bootloader then better to install custom rom (instead of any xiaomi bloatware) such as Nitrogen OS android 11 it has automatic call recorder in the dialer .

Just to remind, any custom ROM other than xiaomi, have bad image quality, tested almost all what we have now in developer section.
In my case I stick to xiaomi.eu because:
- have less bloatware than global or EEA ROM, you still can remove if you don't need any app via ADB
- have call recording working out of the box
- and have good picture quality in stock camera app.
- battery is good enough, I got 3days and 11h SOT so it's not to bad

My remarks:
- I don't think you can remove bloatware through ADB at least based on my tests it only HIDES apps so current user doesn't see them but they are still on the system partition. That's why you can easily revert changes if you want app to reappear.
- have call recording working out of the box - same with Android 11 custom ROM (i.e. NitrogenOS)
- and have good picture quality in stock camera app. Agree but look into Gcam thread and you will find that for many people gcam already produces better pictures than stock camera (and it will get better over time). Gcam is much worse than stock regarding videos not pictures. And that's the only reason people may stick to stock ROM.
- battery is good I agree. Again it can by slightly improved on custom rom espacially if you decide to de-google your phone. This option is unavailable with Xiaomi ROMS.

- you never heard about XiaomiADBFastbootTool ? here you go: https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools you can remove any app, backup will be on PC so always you can restore them through ADB. Or you can also freeze any app like you said.
- about the camera there is difference in quality in case where gcam was used in stock ROM and same version of gcam in custom ROM, it's hard to explain, it's like stock ROM have some extra libs or whatever make pictures looks little better. Not sure, but I did few tests, and gcam pictures looks better in stock ROM than in custom when you focus on details in that picture.

Thats the quote from FAQ of that tool
What's the difference between uninstalling and disabling?
The OS sees which apps have been disabled and it can re-enable them whenever it pleases but it cannot do the same with uninstalled apps. Apps you disable may come back anytime and you can also re-enable them in the Settings, while uninstalled apps will only return if you reinstall them (using ADB or an APK) or factory reset the device. There's no difference when it comes to their impact on the system, however, functionality or performance wise, so I recommend uninstalling apps which you believe pose a security/privacy risk and disabling everything else.
What apps are safe to uninstall?
All applications in the list are safe to uninstall. You might lose access to some services but the device will keep working just fine. Some other apps, like Gallery or Security, aren't listed because uninstalling them would soft brick your device.
Do uninstalled system apps affect OTA updates?
No, you are free to install updates without the fear of bricking your device or losing data.
Do uninstalled system apps come back with updates?
No, uninstalled apps should only come back when you reinstall them or factory reset your device.

Can you document this finding of your -- e.g., screenshot an app you have previously removed still present in the filesystem?
I reckon that would be an important element for understanding our PX3 modding limitations.

I tested it almost two months ago since then I'm on custom ROM. It is very easy to verify whether I'm right or wrong. Running global ROM try to remove one of the system apps for example youtube with this adb tool. After successful uninstallation go to playstore and choose youtube app. Playstore will offer you to install or to update the app. Then you will know if system app was indeed uninstalled or just hidden for current user but still installed in the system. I already know the outcome.

You're right. If you want to remove system apps 100%, reboot to twrp, mount /system, navigate to /system/app & /system/priv-app than remove apps that you don't need.
That means that you can't remove system apps without root. ADB will just disable them & uninstall app to fabric version.
Hello, I have the Poco X3 NFC with the global firmware.
These apps don't record anything (neither Boldbeast nor CubeACR)
I'm trying to install the Indian firmware, as it has the call recorder in the dialer out-of-the-box but I get this error: "Looks like current ROM's Network carrier type is different from that in the Recovery package"
Any tips on what to do next? Thank you in advance.

(Guide) (Magisk Module) POCO X3 INDIA - ENABLING MIUI DIALER, CONTACTS, MESSAGING

Dear POCO X3 Indian (6000MAH Non-NFC Variant) Users,
I have been looking to enable call recording on my device and finally got a workaround. The process is long and very difficult if you are new to this. Read carefully and do some searching to get them done properly. Here is the procedure step by step:
1. Upgrade to the latest ROM that is to say MIUI 12.0.10. May work with all other MIUI versions.
2. Unlock bootloader.
3. Install custom recovery.
4. Install Magisk to gain root access.
5. Install the Module inside Magisk App from SD card.
6. Set default apps and give all required permissions in settings => apps => manage apps => show all apps/default apps and by finding contacts and dialer, messaging app etc.
Congratulations... You have installed MI Home, Phone, Contacts, and Messaging app. (Enjoy)
Update- 17.05.2021: Now you can get MIUI Launcher also. No need to use debloater. Its included in the module.

Do you use floating window? Scrolling on floating window is not working in Indonesian rom if another overlay is enabled. For gaming i need to use floating window n overlay. 12.0.10 doesn't have this problem. Also the visuals, of miui 12 is better, battery also is better if u uninstall the update of security app.
Moreover, u may restrict background activity of magisk in settings.

Hi,
Did any1 got any solution for this?
Hi, is there a similar module for global version too? Also is there a module with miui dialer and messaging only? I prefer poco launcher over mi launcher the versions they have on telegram groups work for android 10 only and not for 12.0.10 global(android 11)
Anu updates guys?
Hi,
Updated Answer - I tired the above Magisk Module, found no issues using Google Chrome, Call Recording, Gallery. Only thing missing was Call Blocker.
I am even using POCO Launcher & Call Recording works without any issue.
Using POCO X3 Indian Model (Non NFC)
MIUI Version (For Poco) - MIUI Global 12.0.10 Stable (QJGINXM)
Poco X3 Model - M2007J20CI
Tried installing in Poco X3 non NFC latest version 12.0.2. but it gave bootloop. Hope it will get updated with latest version

I dont know whether i can push it to system using adb without root like disable/uninstall system apps..

The SMS app and the contacts app can be installed without a problem. The problem is the dialer, it doesn't install because of missing libraries.
Bought this phone last week and I already start to regret it.
The GUI is inconsistent with the google crap. Google dark mode ain't black, which is a must for me with an Amoled screen.
Also no native calender app, also google, no native email app, have to use gmail, no native music app, a music app is non existent. All these should be OnePlus app.
Also you can't uninstall or disable the google apps, a complete bummer.
We definitely need root soon and the missing libraries to get the OnePlus dialer working

I too feel the same... Not even providing native music app which all the other brands provide with good music enhancements like equalizers, etc.
Which versions of the contacts and messages app did you install? Tried a few versions and non of them could be installed.
Both from apk mirror:
Messages app version 6.0.0.4.201116173059.68fcf22
Contacts app version 4.0.0.0.210609212556.9580ebe
The latest Messages app doesn't seem to install (6.0.0.6)
For the contacts app I first had a December 2020 version and just updated it to the version mentioned above.
Maybe waking up OnePlus by requesting these native apps on the OnePlus forum and mention it in several other threads regarding software etc. I've laready mentioned it in their OTA thread and I also saw some more people requesting this elsewhere on their forum.
The same thing has also happened to me, you can install apk one plus messages and contacts ... but not dialer (phone) ... by adb I was able to activate joneplusjools but it is useless without dialer ... which for adb I also knew that the error is lack of qualcon library ... obviously it does not have them ... hence the error ... let's see if someone will soon release a version of dialer with mediatek library ... to be able to make it functional also in nord2 .... thank you.
Finally rooted with working twrp thanks Dev's.
But there are some flaws in OP you can follow this tutorial video

Yes you can - I'm no pro myself, but using a computer with ADB to remove unwanted apps was very easy. No root required at all.
