For rooting you need unlock bootloader , But LG isn't gonna provide unlock.bin to do that , So we have to unofficially unlock it by workshark or any other softwares ! It's a quite a headache work and no is willing do that for cheap ! You have to pay atleast $5k in order to get root

I AM THE OP ON A DIFFERENT ACCOUNT
Quite the hefty price but for something like this it is quite understandable because I'm sure it requires extreme patience and lots of trial and error. However, I'm no longer worried because I just grabbed a OnePlus 5t recently and will be back into the modding scenery. I appreciate your reply!

[Q] Possible to unlock from 10.4.2.16

Hi XDA users
My prime is in RMA waiting to be fixed as I had bricked it. It will cost me $200AU to fix the motherboard apparently, but before I pay them I was just wondering if I am able to unlock the device and root again, as some people have posted that they are unable to unlock or root after RMA. I asked the tech and he said it will come back running 10.4.2.16, I was just wondering if there was a way to unlock and root the device, or is it on a firmware which is going to be stuck on stock forever I have only a few days to reply to the tech, so any information, steps, or guides on how to unlock and root (unlock mainly) would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys and gals
Also if it helps I am in Australia

I would check back with him that you have the correct build number. 10.4.2.16 was not a public release.

[Q] HELP!! Moto E XT1021 from Cricket, can't unlock bootloader/root

HELP!! I have a Moto E XT1021 from Cricket, and it doesn't qualify for unlocking bootloader from the Motorola website. nor can I gain root with any other methods without unlocking the bootloader. Rooting my device is all I'm interested in. Has anyone found away around this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....

If unlocking downloader is not possible then as of now there is no way to root.

Yes, help! Cricket has released the Moto e xt1021 to Walmart and the bootloader is not supported for unlock. Please, this is a nightmare! It doesn't work right and it has 4.4.4-7 on it already! The people of Walmart need help. This is a disaster!
Any idea why Cricket/Walmart have this policy? Is there a link to a statement about it?
I just bought a Moto-E from Ting and unlocked the bootloader without a problem. Return the phone and sign up with Ting. It is potential a cheaper option anyway.
me too

At&t owns aio /cricket. At&t refuses to participate in Motorola unlock program. They are a real stick in the mud. Well, that's fine. We don't have any rebels here anymore. I suppose the days of doing things like this just to say you did them are coming to an end. Maybe Sunshine will update. I hope AT&T GOES OUT OF BUSINESS. I am a humble ewok, I am no match for the Death Star. All I can do is put my phone in airplane mode and throw it at them; like a rock.
Sunshine may support it when the 3.0 version comes out.
Is anyone willing to experiment with their phone a bit at the risk of bricking it? PM me! I wanna try to get this thing rooted.

I got one of these today. It goes back tomorrow to be replaced with one that is NOT Cricket (AT&T) or Verizon. I got it for $52.00 after tax and it would be WELL worth the extra cash IF any to get one that can be rooted. AT&T might as well merge with Apple. It is a match made in Hell.
So...
Bump, with info.
What about this? http : // blog.azimuthsecurity.com/2013/04/unlocking-motorola-bootloader . html (I would have made it into a link, but I'm new... all I did was add spaces)
I don't know much about phones but if there was a way to issue a command to blow the appropriate q-fuse, it should (in theory) unlock the bootloader right then and there, allowing the whole rooting process to happen... I just don't know what commands to issue or how to do so. Could someone smarter than I am please look into this? While I'd rather not brick my phone I'd be willing to test a couple of things if need be... (Moto E second gen). The author of that post seems to have actually been successful in unlocking a bootloader that way, but I don't have such extensive knowledge.
I spent a good two and a half hours with Cricket, going around and around. They are NOT owned by AT&T, they just use their towers. Or at least that's what two different representatives from some call center said. *shrug* I still think they're in bed with each other, so they're still crap any way you slice it.

Because Cricket belongs to AT&T, and AT&T are the spawn of the devil.
If it's good for the consumer, AT&T are against it.
I feel like we can get somewhere with this article:
https://bits-please.blogspot.com/20...howComment=1460300020367#c6394063953558572651
I've tried downloading the code, installing Python, and executing the script, but I get a syntax error on line 45. I know practically nothing about Python, so I'm stuck, but I'm hoping there are some expertise here that can help.
Help unlocking bootloader for XT1021 Cricket variant
Has anyone come up with a fix for this? I have the same problem - replaced my broken older Samsung with a gently used Cricket variant of the Moto E XT1021. Seems like this is the only one that Motorola will not allow the bootloader unlock? Anything to be done?

How are you with technical stuff? I'm by no means a developer, but I posted a link just before your post (see post #14). I understand the concepts, but I can't tell what's going wrong in my Python execution. If you can visit the Git linked in that blog, I've posted an issue in hopes that the original developer might help, but haven't gotten any love yet.

Shame for Developers

I am not writing this thread to abuse developers but I was very disappointed with this thread. I thought Developers are the real soul for mobiles. But there is not even one developer who can root LG V10 At&t model H900. and provide us a custom ROM. I am very disappointed. Please if there is any developer who developed any ROM with Root for This model. I will appreciate if somebody can post custom rom and method for this dying beauty.
Pls..........

It's not their fault. It's the AT&T that doesn't allow bootloader unlocking. I waited for a whole year for root and then sold the device because of lost hope. Lesson I learned: Should do more research before buying a new phone.

Lg v10 h960a
While unzipping rootedsystemh960a.tot I get the message: " data stopped unexpected "".

How to get device unlock code ?

Hello,
I've an old Huawei Y6 (SCL-U31) and I'd like to unlock it to install a custom rom but I'm struggling to get it to work since Huawei doesn't provide these codes.
Any idea how to get my unlock code without paying ?
Thanks in advanced.
there is no way some country support apps may help but i ve tried and got none. hate this phone, app2sd blocked, 16gb but i have 3 gb after setup. cant install any app because of that. all people asked for huawei to unlock that feature but answer is always a no. this brand works for only top edge phones.

I used DC-Unlocker to read the bootloader code, its a paid service though (4€)
I think it's totally worth it, i'm now running Lineage 14.1 and my SCL-L01 already feels like a new phone. This phone was never good but at least now it's a decent spare.

There are people working to make it happen as we speak but you will have to be patient

There's no root and no ESIM for the US S21s. Maybe in the future (T-Mobile said ESIM is coming "soon"), but nothing is known yet.
As for Root, unlocking the bootloader will be a paid service by a fairly shady source. So prepare to spend like $100-150 for it.

You say fairly shady source? I disagree, payment is made through PayPal... A shady service doesn't have hundreds of people inside of a private telegram group that you can gain access to once you purchase and shady services don't have someone to always answer your questions and help with issues... interesting
Thats my *understanding* of the source...
