CURTANA RUSSIA, TURKEY, INDIA is can be used in GLOBAL ROM? - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

Is it safe to flash other region rom like RUSSIA, TURKEY, INDIA on CURTANA(Global rom) devices? i have unlocked bootloader + miui 11. i was thinking about flashing other region miui 12 rom on my device

As long as it's a curtana ROM being flashed on a curtana device, you should be fine. I have a global 9S (QJWMIXM) that came with MIUI 11 preinstalled, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the Turkish MIUI 12 fastboot ROM onto it (QJWTRXM). People have also reported success with the Indian one (QJWINXM). As far as I can tell you only get a bootloop when you're trying to install a ROM from a different region as an OTA update, and the "fastboot doesn't work" type bricks came from people trying to flash TWRP, custom ROMs, or curtana firmware onto joyeuse.

go to higher version recovery zip file from rooted miui 8

hi
i have miui 8 lolipop rooted and twrp. now i want go to miui 8 marshmallow with official recovery zip file. what can i do to not locking bootloader again and get rooted ?
if i change boot.img from new downloaded rom with kitchen that will work ? or needs do more other works ?
thanks
Why rush to Marshmallow?
But, if you want to flash it, there is a thread on MIUI forum for Marshmallow Kate ( bootloader unlock, TWRP and root ).
My suggestion would be to wait for a while, and see how the situation with MM works out. No need to rush. It's not that you REALLY NEED Marshmallow in your life.
And whats wrong with MM?
my china dev 6.11.3 is stable and smooth, also inbuilt root
you need cofface or ZCX twrp to flash official ROMs without patch.
also if you have official unlocked BL then you can unlock it as many times you want/need on dev rom.
i suggest china dev, china firmware is better imo and I have tried all 4 variants for kenzo.
you can also flash it through miflash with fastboot ROM, thats how I do it, I got bootloop few times when flashing recovery and I used cofface twrp...

(ROM Changing) Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus (vince) China rom to global rom changing problem.

I have Redmi 5 Plus (vince) with China beta ROM installed.
I just unlock my bootloader and flashed global stable and beta ROM from here:
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
http://update.miui.com/updates/v ... bal&b=F&r=global&n=
vince_global_images_V9.2.13.0.NEGMIFA_20180302.0000.00_7.1_global_cf18fc4bbc.tgz
Fastboot ROM flashed successful and working fine. But problem is when I relock my bootloader again, device not booting. Its goes directly to miui recovery and giving message "the miui version cant be installed on this device" type message. But if I unlock again, device boot and working.
But I want to use my device with locked bootloader.
Please help me if anybody know how to use global stable or beta rom with lock bootloader for Redmi 5 Plus. I want global rom with google service without any error. China rom giving google service error sometime
I still use miui eu but i saw many post about stock china change to global ....certainly only way is unlock bootloader and flash rom by mi flash of xiaomi...your case just happen when u use method click to test point in mainboard....
I think you should to lock boot loader because it good when fone bug
You have to flash china stable rom using test point method. Flash and lock in miflashtool. Then you can unlock bootloader again with no waiting and flash global ROM this time with clean all and flash in miflashtool.
I had to do that procedure last week. Same problem than you

Question MI 11 lite 5g Global EEA v13.0.4.0.SKIEUXM stock rom flash fastboot method to EU v13.0.8.0.SKICNXM fastboot rom.

Hello Everyone!
Im newby here... have some questions.
I have MI 11 lite 5g renoir EEA v13.0.4.0 stock rom SKIEUXM type. Flashed ROM: renoir_eea_global_images_V13.0.4.0.SKIEUXM_20220224.0000.00_12.0_eea_d58b0aec96.tgz
Im bricked my phone about 3 weeks ago fastboot bootlop with twrp install method, so Im a little bit confused to do a fastboot flash to EU rom but I saw only SKICNXM fastboot rom with ZIP format like: xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Lite5G_V13.0.8.0.SKICNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip
Is it possible to flash over my stock ROM to the new EU based China ROM or forget it, or this cross-flashing will damage my phone again?
Thank you for your replys.

Can I relock bootloader on China > Global stock ROM

Hi all,
Recently I purchased Mi 10 Pro (basically same as Mi 10) from my friend, and it was a China device with China ROM installed, am I able to change to Global ROM and re-lock the bootloader? Not planning on root and changing ROM all that. From what I heard if changed from China ROM to Global ROM and LOCK the bootloader on a China device will result in a brick, is that true? Coming from Android One device so not really sure about this. Thanks for the input.
