An idea for a possible solution for the flickering AMOLED displays

Hello everyone.. You might have that problem where your phone's screen (probably a samsung phone) flickers and goes crazy in low brightness settings.. I've done a lot of searching about the problem or a possible solution. The only working solution I've encountered, which is a software one and requires root, is setting the brightness slider on the lowest point that doesn't cause flickering, then, applying a black overlay to lessen the brightness. I'm wondering about the brightness control mechanism... is it based on hardware and software mechanisms?(case1*) or based on hardware only? (Case2*) In case 2: at least we can adjust the minimum current the phone delivers to the display in order to disable brightness settings that cause flickering. In case 1: we would do as suggested in *case1, plus, we would let the software mechanism kick in to lower the brightness when the hardware mechanism is delivering the lowest amount of current that doesn't cause flickering. It's just an idea.. applying it might be as easy as changing some values in the phone os somewhere or flashing a custom kernel!. But finding that change is what i don't seem to have a clue about.. I have a SGS 5 mini duos.. but i think it doesn't matter as the problem presists in other models (S5, J7) I hope I'm posting in the right forum And i hope someone will figure out a better solution and thanks for reading

Screen/Display brighness is low

I have noticed in my POCO F1 that screen/display brightness is less than my bros POCO F1 device. After trying all settings in display or keeping same settings in both POCO F1 devices still my display is not that bright. Is this Software or Hardware issue? Kindly help. Thanks.

Different phones have different Displays, a different company produces them. You may have a different panel then your brother has. But then again, the difference shouldn't be very big. Also, did you buy the phone as new or used? If it's used, it could be that the person who sold you has replaced the touch and display already, and those third-party displays often have lower brightness including different colour temperature and colour accuracy.

help a big screen problem (different from the glue gate)

Hey all
I have a mate 20 pro that I use since its release. Currently I have a problem with the screen (LG unfortunately) when the lighting is low I see the Huawei logo in the background especially when the background is white, you find the photo attached, is someone of you has the same problem? Is there a solution? Does this affect the life of the screen?
Thank you in advance.
Its called "screen burn" its a known issue for amoled displays
Lol you had Huawei written background for so long?
Its definitely screen burn
Try runing led burn fixer app from playstore for i donno may be several days see if it helps
But mostly wont, just give it a try

Question shopping tips ...

I would like to buy the Motorola EDGE 30 PRO, I have already tried the Realme GT 2 PRO but it did not convince me, completely similar to many other smartphones (oppo, oneplus, etc)
I need your help:
1- Does the edge 30 Pro have the always on display?
when the smartphone is not touched for some time, does the display continue to show the time? or the display is completely off and turns on only when a notification arrives or the smartphone is lifted?
2- If I double-touch, does the display turn on and off?
3- If I place the smartphone on a surface (with the display facing upwards) it remains completely stable / stationary or by pressing on the display on the sides / corners, is the smartphone unstable?
I hope some of you can help me.
Thank you
Claudio
