POCO X3 (NFC) (surya/karna)
Note: These are enforcing builds. Safety net checks pass out of the box! No need to flash magisk modules, which might in turn break the integrity!
Builds have been unified now under surya codename for both NFC and non-NFC variants
Tip: Select OEM -> Device, choose Arrow version, choose build type: "GAPPS" or "VANILLA" to download.
Latest Instructions for OSS builds (w.e.f 10/05/2021)
If migrating from pre OSS builds
Flash the latest available MIUI 11 firmware. (Flash global or any if you can't find your region)
Download and copy arrow build to a OTG prendrive or sd card.
Now flash Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
Reboot.
Fresh install coming from MIUI
Flash latest available MIUI 11 if you aren't on it already.
Install any suitable recovery (mentioned below).
Download and copy arrow build to a OTG prendrive or sd card.
Flash latest Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
Reboot.

Note: This build of twrp will support decryption on ArrowOS OSS builds.Download
ArrowOS Recovery :
Note: This is a very basic aosp recovery only intended for OTA installs. Do NOT expect other functionalities.Download* Do not use with DFE or while unencrypted.F.A.Q :
1. My WiFi, bluetooth and network aren't working after updating to OSS build?
A. This happens if you're still on the old Q firmware. Flash the latest available R firmware and then follow the above give steps to properly flash the rom.
2. Unable to update OTA's using TWRP?
A. The current available recoveries are outdated and are no longer supported for OSS builds. To have a hassle free OTA experience use the above mentioned ArrowOS recovery.A. Two of the currently supported recoveries are mentioned above.

Wow, so many great developers for this device. Thanks a lot!

Wow it's official already? I might buying this phone. And could you also include the TWRP that you use in the post too ? Thank you

SELinux
Just want to clarify, that with root, the ROM's Selinux still runs as enforcing and not permissive? If that's the case, then I'll happily switch over to this ROM.

I know that permissive seLinux was required by some mods for it to work as it gains more control over Android and it's less secure while enforced is more secure now & there is no need to be on permissive seLinux because no app needs it nowadays. seLinux is also present in Linux distributions.
Read more about it here: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/SELinux/Tutorials/Permissive_versus_enforcing

Enforcing is overall more secure than Permissive. With permissive, you're more vulnerable of having your data stolen. Also banking applications do not work with permissive mode on, although there are some ways to make it work on permissive, such as using magisk hide as well as hiding the magisk manager (by renaming). There are some benefits of permissive, though, using mods such as Viper4Android - whereas on Enforcing it does not work (from my experience). It's totally up to the user to decide which mode is best for them. If it's your main phone and you have banking apps and important information on, then I suggest Enforcing. Whereas if it's your secondary phone without any important information on it, then use permissive and mod it to the fullest extent.

Happy to see you here

There is visibly some intense git push activity on this ROM's repository, that is nice, ota seems to be being setup , if not already active.

Does it install on updated Android version on Poco x3 nfc?

So microSD card should work unlike on NitrogenOS?

I have tested the stable ROM (surya) and in the android configuration screen where the language is selected, something that says UI stops, then it continues with the configuration and at the time of activating WiFi it does not search for networks, the configuration can be done with mobile data but it is a great impediment, currently I have installed the unofficial experience pixel ROM for surya with the same installation method and it is perfect

Thanks dev for providing support for this device.
Can anyone confirm if CTS profile is passed without magisk?

Pardon me, which TWRP did you use to install rom ? There are like 3 versions of twrp right now and i don't know which one to use. Thank you

Easily the best rom for Karna. I would've loved some more customisations but in terms of performance, battery life and stability I'm very very impressed. Thanks Dev

First time installing crDroid to your Moto G5 Plus, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery such as TWRP
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Now we're talking! I'm still on 3.8.8 - excited to make the jump once stable. Keep up the great work.
EDIT: First of all, thanks for porting crDroid PIE V5.0 [Android 9.0] to G5 Plus!
Looks promising.
Install worked without problems, booting up and first conf as well.
What i missed was a setting for seeing mobile network status in the navbar and the cam app crashed.
Another thing i couldnt find was the inbuilt root. As far as i can see the inbuilt root is not working.
And after writing back my backup it tells me that my pin is wrong. why is that?

Was using previous build for a couple days, everything running very well except safetynet didn't pass in Magisk (but had root & modules worked fine). Yesterday was surprised to get an update notification, downloaded and dirty flashed in TWRP only wiping cache/dalvik at the end before reboot, after reboot all was fine and now Magisk passes safetynet. ROM has most of the crDroid Settings working including built-in Adaway with 15 host sources, it's a nice 9.0 ROM and would recommend to others.

I think this may motivate another "piece of Pie" for me. I have tried several flavors but fall back to the comfort of Oreo due to issues and missing features. I did try the last build of crDroid but was not getting Magisk, at all. I learned, later that a few reboots would have remedied that...
*** I am in ***
Looks very good and stable, thus far. One thing that I thought was there in earlier build (probably wrong) was the grid view of recents. Not a big deal but much preferred over the rotating tiles. Great work!
*** A few more notes ***
BT headset (Skull Candy) not working with phone audio. Media is working fine.
BT phone in MB working
V2T option not available with GBoard
Rebooting to recovery option not working - boots back into system
That build is amazing, runs smooth af.. Use GCam or Moto Cam as alternative of the included one!
Encryption doesn't work cause after the first boot I can't enter the pin code, it's just showing the patern lockscreen.

The AospExtended team did not respond to my official request or pm asking for official status. I have no idea why. Perhaps if members ask for it as well, they will be more likely to grant official status. Feel free to lobby them for me. Also, please discuss AEX related things on the AEX forum post I have created.
I plan to skip to AospExtended 6.7 as I have not had much time latly.

SELinux is currently enforcing. You can set it to permissive by typing in:
Code:
setenforce 0
into an android terminal or flashing a permissive patcher. I use Google Drive because I like it and I have unlimited storage space.

Signature Spoofing and Root ADB
HI all,
Do this build have signature spoofing disabled? In CRdroid there used to be a switch to enable signature spoofing and afaik there is a patch on upstream that suggest the signature spoofing is enabled by default:
hXXps://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_packages_apps_crDroidSettings/commit/fe45b12172edf660533f57fc36c7d01e9f0bf0c4
I've tested and seems is disabled, so I'm not sure if there was a patch on this specific build to disable it. I would like to use MicroG on this ROM , and as Xposed is not yet available for pie...
BTW, is it not possible to access ADB as root on this room ?
# adb root
adbd cannot run as root in production builds

Your commit link doesn't work, so I can't help you with that until you fix the link. As for adb root, it does not work in "userdebug" flavored builds. It is customary to build "userdebug." If you want root, try using Magisk.
You can read more about build flavors here:
https://source.android.com/setup/develop/new-device#build-variants
Works ok on a XT1607 (2GB of RAM), however is a little laggy. I ran antutu benchmark in this rom, here's a little video i made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loiqq8OBpzY
HI all,
I see my last post was a bit missunderstood.
In CRdroid there used to be a switch to enable signature spoofing and afaik there is a patch on upstream that suggest the signature spoofing is enabled by default:
hXXps://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_packages_apps_crDroidSettings/commit/fe45b12172edf660533f57fc36c7d01e9f0bf0c4
(Please, notice XX on the url. I cant post URLs, so please replace hXXps with https)
Anyway, on this build the singature spoofing is disabled. I would like to use MicroG on this ROM, and signature spoofing is important as I would like to avoid installing Google Apps.
Apart of this, I'm used to use ADB as root on LineageOS and other rooms. In this rom looks is not enabled. I have of course rooted the phone with magisk and I have set on the options "SuperUser access: Apps and ADB".
I can use applications as root, but when I try to connect via ADB as superuser I get this error:
# adb root
adbd cannot run as root in production builds[/QUOTE]
Is there something missing on this build ?

LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

sorry ,noticed it now
Thxq for the ROM hope all devs will come now in for.this device
One question ! Why isnt necessary to format system before flashing the rom ? I come from another brand and the process was both cache , system and data .
Thanks for your work MAN ! HURRA
@karthick mostwanted What's the difference between your port and using LOS GSI?
Nice!
Does autobrightness work?
Works but not as good as stock.
You have to set up the brightness manually a few times for it to work better or else it will go full brightness most of the time.

@karthick mostwanted Appreciate your efforts, waiting for stable build with bugs squashed
You were one of the developer of tomato too, right?
At last we have the 1st custom rom for our X2 Pro. I'll try to flash this today. :victory:
So need to unlock bootloader first then install provided recovery and at last the rom?
Is the fingerprint working ?
And Google pay?
Thanks for great work.

fingerprint yes
Never unlocked bootloader nor rooted the phone.
If Y unlock and install latest twrp, will it break the FP sensor ?
And any brick risk ?
I saw so many people here bricking there X2pro doing that...
I've had Lineage OS 17.1 for about a 2 weeks now and I have too much trouble with apps that don't want to work banking, financial, games etc - it gets picked up as custom rom and I'm not even rooted.
I am considering going back to stock (not ideal) or using an older version of stock android. Android 10 also have too many issues.

2 weeks? Check the date of the release & if you don't know how to fix safety net issues you cannot use those apps in any custom ROMs
90 Hz Question
Does the 90 Hz work? Any other things that aren't stable? I have heard from forums that guide on GSIs say that the ROMs had little functionalities and recommend going back to stock. Nice to know that the fingerprint works! I'm currently on stock with unlocked bootloader, which unfortunately disables FP in stock. Hopefully I can get it to work in LineageOS.

I am on beta Android 10 C22 with unlock bootloader and twrp recovery and i can tell you that FP works fine here.
Flashing Magisk is what breaks it so if you uninstall Magisk you get FP back.

Lol some people have been running Lineage OS 17 for months now.
@AndyYan has been posting updates for treble devices:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/andyyan-gsi/files/lineage-17.x/
In any case, I did not have safety net issues on some of the older versions so I'm still experimenting.

Okay sir.
Eager to try this ROM
---------- Post added at 07:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:53 AM ----------
I am on firmware 12.0.1
Is that fine?
Would like to see Android 11 on your other ROM, Ancient OS.
I haven't tried this ROM yet. Am guessing it's as good as Ancient?
can use custom kernel uncle?
My SD-Card appears as corrupted and I can't read any data from it. Does anyone have a fix for that?
Also the hide notch functionality doesn't seems to be working at all. When I select it, it just goes back to "Default".
The Volte toggle is missing, I would like to know, if the default is off?
Otherwise super smooth and fast rom, keep up the good work!
Edit: after a reboot the hide notch started to work as expected. (probably source bug, not rom related)

Tried this earlier, selected Phone app in settings, didn't work, then installed a paid dialer (Drupe) that I use, selected it as default, even that didn't work.
Clean flashed (with even internal storage format) and tried this twice, no luck.
After setting phone as default reboot. It works

Dolby missing?
Hi bro. I just installed this rom. It's really good. But, in youtube videos, I saw that this rom has Dolby pre installed.
But, I don't see it on my phone. I clean flashed the latest build.
Is it removed now? Or am I doing something wrong?
Magisk installation
Hello and kudos for your great job.
It's been a while since I last got involved with android and I find it difficult to get Magisk on this rom. Could you provide an easy way to do it?
I tried patching a boot.img and then installing through fastboot (recoveries just cannot mount the internal storage), but this does not seem to work. It finishes the command without error but there is no root support on boot.
Thanks in advance

dolby seems to have been removed in latest build. I also cannot find it
Dolby didn't work anyway when it was there
Can we expect AOSPA app lock in upcoming builds??
This ROM is lovely, but I have a few issues to report on my Joyeuse device.
1. The latest 04/12 OTA update fails to install/flash with TWRP reporting an error with: "@/cache/recovery/block.map"
2. As of the 03/12 OTA update, Magisk patched boot images don't seem to work and result in never ending boots. Flashing stock boot image in fastboot fixes this issue, but then I have no root.
3. Toggling the SELinux option in the Xiaomi Parts just kicks you back to the main settings page without enabling SELinux enforcing.
4. Not an issue, but the Quick Unlock feature is missing from this ROM. Even though it's small and simple, it's makes a large difference in day-to-day usage and feels strange after coming from other ROMs with this feature included. Would be amazing if this was added in a future update.
Other than the above, this ROM works a treat and runs beautifully. Thanks for your hard work.
Latest 05/12 OTA update also fails to install with the same error in TWRP as above.
Edit: I'll be switching to another ROM for the time being as root/Magisk is essential to me.

I have used arrow in the previous build. Magisk 21 works just fine. Flashed it via PBRP.
I like it because it is updated frequently and is stable.
I'm using gesture navigation.
When the screen rotates, the navigation bar does not move to the bottom of the screen, and some touches may not respond.
In that case, it will be solved if you return after displaying the app history.
on gapps Ver.
If I am using double tap wake up and sleep function even though with my screen pattern lock+ Finger print,It bypasses and automatically opens up .Even after manually clicking on the power button to sleep and wake up again doesn't work. Shortly I mean: Screen lock disappears and directly pops up into the menu.

Use magisk V21.0 .I am using the same to root
Update: after a day use.while using browser.Phone automatically Rebooted itself.Dont know why
1. My advice: Do not use OTA update. Causes a bootloop.
Edit: With OrangeFox Recovery OTA updating works flawlessly. Repatch Magisk afterwards.
2. If Magisk Hide is enabled, there is a signature error (ro.build.type set to "user"). With it disabled my banking app does not work, but signature errors are gone. It would be great if you could fix the signature error, @SonalSingh18
Edit: Came to the workaround by this old thread [CLOSED] [OUTDATED] Magisk and MagiskHide installation and troubleshooting | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
Greetings and thank you for this great daily driver! ☺
