Hello,
I had similar problem with TWRP. I solved it like that I shut down phone. Than in fastoobt mode (follow some instruction via YouTube) install TWRP, and than insert appropriate rom. After that installation pass just fine.

I followed this one:
Google it, find one that is easy for you. There are plenty guides and tutorials

I have seen many people facing this issue where they flashed a OxygenOS rom of different phone ( Due to a idiot youtuber said it can be flashed on all devices )
I recently recieved a POCO F1, with same condition where i cannot update MIUI over Oreo firmware.
So, this guide is for those people who cannot boot any new MIUI other than Oreo OTA
* First make sure you are on Oreo MIUI and your device is working fine.
* Download Latest MIUI A10 OTA and extract it.
* From the above latest OTA pick system, vendor and boot images and place them in any folder.
* Flash system, vendor and boot through fastboot mode using following commands:
fastboot flash system path_to_the_files\system.img
fastboot flash vendor path_to_the_files\vendor.img
fastboot flash boot path_to_the_files\boot.img
* Now Flash lastest recovery for Poco F1 (OOFGang TWRP Suggested ).
* Boot into twrp and flash this fiirmware only (also attached below).
* Format Data and reboot.
* You have A10 MIUI installed.
Notes:
* Dont do anything other than mentioned step else can hardbrick device.
* Dont flash any OTA directly on the device either from fastboot or recovery.
* Dont flash new firmware else you can hardbrick device.
* After insatlling MIUI A10 you can install any rom without any probllem just make sure they dont include any firmware.
DISCLAIMER NOTICE
* I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed (like it did for me...).
* YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
* Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software.

Flashing recovery - keeps reverting to stock after reboot

Hi peeps
New Pocophone owner here. I got my bootloader unlocked earlier today and now trying to flash the official TWRP 3.3.0.0 recovery from twrp.me, simply following the fastboot instructions on the device guide.
However every time I reboot the device, the recovery always reverts to the stock MIUI recovery?
What am I doing wrong here?
I just got the phone and have upgraded it to MIUI 10.3.6 as well. I am wanting to flash pixel experience onto it.
Do following, instead of flashing your recovery.
Use this method boot and flash Magisk. Reboot back to your system and install Flashify and install your choosen Recovery with it

in stock rom you need to flash magisk right after flashing twrp else it will get replaced by stock

What the post above says is correct. However, if you don't want Magisk, after flashing TWRP, reboot into recovery and then into system. You may retain TWRP. However, this doesn't work for everyone.
Hi all, I fixed the issue by completely wiping my phone via TWRP and clean flashing pixel experience ROM. After rebooting on pixel rom TWRP persists.
It appears that MIUI rom has something that keeps reverting it to stock MI-recovery.
If you are on MIUI and flashing TWRP, once the recovery is up for the first time, you need to head on to reboot>recovery again in order to overwrite MIUI stock recovery. So the whole process would be like this;
i) Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (or whatever the name of the image)
ii) Fastboot boot recovery
iii) Once TWRP is up, Swipe to allow modification and then go to Reboot>Recovery and reboot into TWRP once more. That's it! You have just overwritten the stock recovery and are now on TWRP!! Now you can reboot to system and TWRP will remain on your device. There's no need to flash Magisk etc if you want just TWRP and nothing else.

Did you follow step 3? You can't boot into system right after twrp is up for the first time. You need to reboot into twrp twice before you boot into system. This is what I do whenever I flash twrp and it never failed me yet.

Yes, I even flashed the recovery image from within TWRP and rebooted to recovery again. Still didn't work.
Note this was on the new 10.3.6 stable MIUI release that got rolled out recently. Not sure if it has new detection or anything that rolls it back.
Anyway I have resolved my issue now all is good.

[SOLVED] Pocophone F1 won't boot after flashing latest version of TWRP!

community, i need your help.
today i unlocked bootloader on my pocophone f1.
then i followed instructions for flashing twrp. i flashed latest version of twrp (from twrp official site), then flashed "disable force encryption", clicked "reboot" and the phone just keeps rebooting on opening screen with "pocophone by xiaomi" logo. i went back to twpr, cleared dalvik/cache and did factory reset and result is the same.
before flashing twrp i was on latest global stable miui 11.0.4 (android 10).
what went wrong and how to fix this? thank you in advance!

Im also new to this thing, but i have suggest you to flash to stock first to fix bootloop.
My method is using XiaoMiFlashTool, before that you need to have stock rom to flash and rename it to PIE.
I also put that folder into desktop. ( more detail maybe you could search on youtube i think )
Then, bring your poco to fastboot mode, then open your MiFlashTool click refresh if device doesnt popup. when device is detected you can start flashing, and ur poco should be fixed from bootloop. ( also makesure you checking on left bottom corner before flashing, there is option you could choose. )
Next step just install your TWRP and disable encrption and install magisk afterward.
Iam not really good at explain thing, but i trying  thats what i do when my poco softbricked. maybe someone could correct me if iam wrong. but this is what iam doing so fat, there's no problem until now :fingers-crossed:
i solved it... it seems twrp installing somehow deleted miui system from my phone. now it's all ok.
thanks anyway.

How did you solve? By reflashing MIUI using MI flash tool? Or by installing custom rom? Were you able to reboot to twrp?
first of all, you must be fully concentrated when installing twrp, because twrp can delete your system, like in my case.
yes, i was able to reboot into twrp always. then i installed xeu rom to check if everything is ok. and it was.
Without data loss, is this method come back to normal as before for poco f1 mobile?

Mi A3 Android 10 v11.0.15 unable to flash twrp and magisk

Hi I recently updated my Mi A3 to May Android 10 update i.e. v11.0.15 . Before this it was rooted with TWRP and Magisk as now both of these softwares are gone due to update. Now i want to flash TWRP first but unable to install it as I changed the active slot to A (current B) as per old method but nothing happened and phone stucked at Fastboot screen. This thing really concerns me as if I flash twrp.img at slot B, does it boot properly? Other way around to root Mi A3 using Magisk manager by patching boot.img of V11.0.15. Where can i get this and is it a reliable method without flashing custom recovery like TWRP? Can i flash any other good custom recovery?

Starting July im also facing the same issue. I restarted my phone but received a message that phone has been updated. Now TRWP and root is gone. I can't flast TWRP again on slot boot_a, also cannot flast twrp on boot_b. Stuck on Flashboot.
I was lucky to have the Stock boot img, i then flashed the Stock boot img on both slots a & b. But cannot flast TWRP anymore using ABD/fastboot
Solution: I flashed the new TWRP 3.4 for Android 10 from this link and now the problem is fixed!! https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/development/recovery-twrp-3-4-0-0-patched-boot-img-t4123287

I only used the files from that link. I did not read it anything. But Thanks, you pointed this out.
This means that the next time I wipe data in TWRP, then I should first enable "use rm -rf instead of formatting" in TWRP settings
I have never tried 'wipe data' on this phone. But I'll remember this the next time I 'wipe data'. Thanks, you just saved me.

Soft bricked Honor 7c after flashing treble rom and firmware not available online

Hello all, so I've unlocked the bootloader via dc unlock, installed TWRP ,flashed multiple treble roms via TWRP and fastboot but my device isn't going into the android system.... I'm stuck at the screen where it says your phone can't be trusted and on some roms it'll get a black screen but the device will read if typed"adb devices" on adb, custom and system recovery and bootloader are working fine but every rom I try flashing won't boot. I even opted to downloading firmware via the Huawei firmware finder but when I look for the LND-AL40 8.0.0.325C(00) which is my build number it's no longer available on their server. I'd like to know if flashing another related firmwares say LND-AL40 8.0.0.221C(00) will work for my phone. ALSO please help on why it's not booting into system or giving a black screen I've followed most of the procedures from various tutorials about flashing treble roms. PLEASE HELP

Help me i bricked my phone

my redmi note 4 mido is bricked and i don't know how, i left my phone for a month because i travelled away and when i came back the phone was stuck on mi logo i tried to fix it by this methods but nothing worked:
-i tried to flash stock firmware via mi flash tool and it failed so many times (i used an old version which stated that the installation succeed but the phone was still stuck in bootloop)
- i tried edl version and it didn't work
- i tried to install via adb and it didn't work also
- i tried to open recovery (volume + and power) it got me to twrp 3.2.3.0 but it's alway stuck on twrp logo and nothing happens
it only happened 2 times when twrp worked and asked me for decryption password, i wrote my phone pin but said wrong password (tried also password and default_password) then i bypassed the password section and got into twrp but i couldn't mount or format storage (it appears that internal storage and sd card is 0 gb) i tried to format it fails,
tried also to change storage to ext2 it got stuck and i couldn't open the twrp again.
any stock firmware flashed on my mido doesn't work and it still stuck on mi logo ( no android loading logo), and it still has twrp
(i tried to flash another twrp or orangefox it just doesn't flash even if it's successful flash on adb)
i tried also to boot the recovery image it also get stuck on the logo and doesn't open the recovery
please help me to know what the hell is wrong with this phone and how i can fix it
help pleassseeeeeeee
Install magisk if you are stuck in boot loop it fixes the problem otherwise download a recovery rom and change your twrp version to 3.1.0.0 because the decryption password in the new versions of twrp doesn't seem to work on rn4. Now wipe system, vendor, data. import recovery rom from your computer and install it. It will install the rom then flash Magisk otherwise your phone will be stuck in bootloop. Wait for a while and bam your system is back!
i can't install anything or even boot into twrp 3.1.0.0 even if i tried
Can you boot into fastboot atleast? If yes then type fastboot reboot recovery and as you said you have twrp installed then it surely means that your bootloader is unlocked. Do you know the name of your custom rom or are you using stock rom? If yes whichever rom you are using just download the recovery rom of that and extract the boot.img in your adb and fastboot folder and flash it via fastboot by typing fastboot flash boot boot.img . And also when booting in twrp which buttons are you using? This happened to me when I myself bricked my device. I thought I can't boot in twrp but the point was I was using volume up+ power but the actual key to boot to twrp is volume up+volume down+power key

Yes, Flashing Stock ROM should be the last step before he tries to fix. But mostly if the smartphone is bootlooped or bricked there is no other step besides Erase All Data / Format Data or Flashing Stock ROM.

You can flash orignal boot.img which most times fixes the problem and if it didnt work flash system.img it almost always works and the last option is flashing magisk. Then only i will recommend to flash stock rom.

the rom i was using before the phone got bricked is crdroid 10, i downloaded it again as you said and tried to flash boot img then i rebooted into recovery but i got stuck at twrp logo as usual and even if twrp worked it will as for a password i tried all pins i have used on my phone and tried default_password didn't work either, i can't even mount data or storage or anything and it shows everything with 0mb storage (external or internal storage).
i can't even format data to remove encryption it just freezes whenever i do that

i tried that before it's always shows me ( mi flash tool could not find a part of the path) error, there's a one time i tried an older version of mi flash tool and the flash succeeded but when phone rebooted it stayed at the bootloop
i checked the recovery and sadly it was still the same twrp recovery
i don't really know if my phone can be fixed or this an emmc problem
So it means you have your stock rom right? Extract boot.img and flash it with
fastboot flash boot boot.img
make sure to put it in adb folder
You can find boot.img in images folder
If it does not work get the system.img and flash it with
fastboot flash system system.img
i flash the whole stock rom via fastboot (adb) and it also didn't work.
sorry if this seems disappointing
Try orangefox recovery then, not sure why is this happening to you
If still not working type
fastboot oem edl
Then flash via mi flash it should work as far as I know. If not then go to mi service centre it's the last thing you can do
