Thanks for the ROM, just quick question: SElinux permissive, disabled or enforcing?

Exciting times ahead for surya. Just to be clear, latest firmware, so that's 12.0.4. We flash this over 12.0.4, correct? Just had to be extra sure.

Thank you for release the rom

Thanks. I'm currently on RROS which us based on 12.0.3 so I'll probably have to fastboot flash 12.0.4 first. I don't need to factory reset from a freshly flashed 12.0.4, right? I'll test this out pretty soon.

No need to format data?

It's probably recommended to format data after flashing this since it's based on Android 11 and you are flashing it over MIUI 12.0.4 which is MIUI and based on Android 10.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you format data before flashing the custom rom, make sure you have a spare microsd. Otherwise you very likely won't be able to access internal storage from a computer to transfer the rom files...
Anyway, I'm guessing this still has the 5Ghz Wifi bug, right?

Or you can adb push the files to /sdcard/. Thats6 what I did when I formated before flashing the ROM.

How is everyone's HDR content experience so far? Similar to the issue I had with RROS, playing HDR videos on YouTube gives out really washed out, dull videos.

That's an advanced technique I wasn't even aware of. I thought it was impossible to access internal storage from a PC

Same issue here for ringtone but maybe it's related to magisk, I flashed stock 12.0.4 then crdroid, reboot recovery flash gapps and format data everything works fine, check ringtone and in my memories it sounded normal then I installed magisk 21.1 and now it's sizzling

Thanking you for this awesome ROM.
Rocking crdroid back to f1
Awesome project, new product but has alot custom Rom
**Reserved**
Boots up.
CR droid boot animation is sick! Loved it.
Of course as title says it's in alpha "testing" so constant system UI crashes upto the point where the screen completely goes black.
One thing I liked about this build was the resolution looks good UI and stuff (got all this just by looking the pre Google setup screen) All the other ROMs I tested has bad resolution and the screen is just not satisfying but not in this rom!
Waiting for stable build. Like.
IR Camera Working?
Force close not able to run for a single minutes:crying:
Tried 2 times but not successful so I go back to lineage os
Unfortunately, the thing happened to other ROMs is also on this ROM. I can't get it to boot after flashing, never got to the setup screen.

First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM: <--THESE MAY NEED UPDATING FOR YOUR PARTICULAR DEVICE; BE THOROUGH IN INSTRUCTIONS-->
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip <--& vendor img, if applicable--> to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

* kernel: upstreamed to 4.9.175
* May security patch
After updating this ROM, the phone starts well.
But I'm facing two errors.
1..internet connection error
2. After a few minutes,. the phone reboots automatically again and again.
What can I do?
P.S I have wiped cache, system, all data: even the internal storage.

I've been using it for 2 months and it rocks. The only BIG problem i have is that i have no more wifi, but idk if it's from this rom, i've tried many others and even turned back on stock rom and still no wifi so maybe a hardware bug.. but except for this, this rom is very good.

Thanks so much, looking forward to giving this a shot
1. The LTE is not fast as on stock.
Some networking issue a very subtle(sample, when I defined in Calls VOIP account that used for years and on the evice 5 minuts ago, have got issue with connectivity as result was inability to register on providers network and no use of phone; the sme on stock , again, after 15 minuts, a volia! all works).
2. When device is connected by USB cable with Winows computer with fully installed android /google / adb / fastboot etc tools, the connection interrupted by 5-7 seconds, paused, automatically started connected again fr 10-20 seconds and so on.
shame there is no newer crdroid for pixel xl...

You need to format data before you flash a new rom to remove encryption (as this rom doesn't support encryption as selinux is permissive)
Format is different from advanced wipe - select the option on the right in twrp wipe menu
Backup anything on internal storage first
Alternatively in fastboot mode type
fastboot erase userdata
Thanks. It worked formatting the device.

I'm not a recognized developer yet even so i will try
So i flashed this rom on my US996 and followed the instructions although, the camera and flash are not working, are we supposed to flash lineage 15.1 and then this like with the other roms or is this just supposed to be flashed right away cuz i know with most of the other custom roms you needed to do incremental flashes
EDIT: Flashing the permissiver file for the f800L fixed the issue
Any chance for H990DS? Thanks

Yes
we had Resurrection Remix Rom based on Android 9 before it but we wait for Customizable Rom based on Android 10 and 11 for all v20 variant not one.
Will this Crdroid version be update to Android 10 and 11?
H910 user here, installed the rom yesterday and so far it's been great. After experiencing los17.1 official (android 10-Q) which had working ir blaster but the battery wasn't working out well for me so I decided to try this rom. Everything is great, but I do miss having my ir blaster.
And yes i did try flashing the permissive v4 and v5. Both flashed well however with v4 the ir blaster wasn't working with sure remote so I went and flashed v5 which suddenly made the phone temp increase dramatically to the point i had to factory reset the rom and start from scratch.
Is there a way to remove permissive files if flashed instead of having to factory reset all the time?
If there are any advice or recommendations I'm open. Would love to have an android 10 from this dev.
Good work bro
The custom ROM I've been waiting for is the f800l model, but there are still bugs when I watch YouTube using earphones, sometimes the sound stops when playing the next video

The error you now mention is commonality to all of us
You just have to click on the download button and be done with it
if the issue persist i will upload [H918 Rom] to any other location so there is nothing to bother about
