I have a Mate 20 Pro and wanted to start some VR videos. To my surprise, any video or virtual reality application did not work correctly (as the movement was slow).
Checking with any test application of the sensors of my terminal, they all say that I have a gyroscope but also it does not work in all while all the other sensors do it correctly.
Something similar happened to someone? I read in some places that they talk about activating the gyroscope but you need to be root. Likewise, if it is a phone that natively has that sensor, I do not understand why it should be activated.

Hi all, I saw that gyroscope allows you more funky function. For example with google camera, they added panorama and photosphere for devices who have gyroscope. I'm asking you if there is a thread or a guide to add the gyroscope to my device, Kingzone n3 plus.

I never have had any problems using the phone gps on my car with maps but man my gps is really imprecise while walking and playing pokemon. My character is often stuck or randomly walks even if I'm perfectly still. AR doesn't work at all but I read this is because this phone doesn't have gyro (it was a 2015 $300 device and no gyro?? c'mon..). I'm starting to wonder if my gps is faulty. I don't have covers on my phone, already set high accuracy gps in settings and I already reflashed the firmware then factory reset and is still the same.
Do you have any problems with this? I know pokemon go is still pretty buggy but everyone I know is playing it without these major problems. Also, how amazon warranty works if I bought the phone from amazon.fr but I live in Italy?

Sony M4 doesnt have gyroscope it forces me to use ar to that is the reason and gyroscope can't be added and i had gps problem and turned off fake location in developer setings and evrything is ok now (and sry for my bad eng)

So your gps works fine. Uhm... Mine may be faulty then. As I said, it registers movements but it's really really imprecise, the character stutters etc.
Did you install Pokémon Go from Google Play Store?
Does Location work well while used with Google Maps, Garmin, Facebook Messenger, etc?

GPS works fine, no problem with other apps. With Pokémon Go it does happen what you describe, but I think that might be a problem with the phone's processing unit, not the GPS. In my case, the avatar may not move at all and suddenly run to the right position, or walk randomly while I'm just standing. Sometimes that's cool because it reaches pokestops I'm not even close to, haha. But yeah, in general terms it's mostly a pain in the ass.
Does anyone know whether or not this phone actually has a gyroscope? Does anyone know of a surefire way to test?
Edit: So sensor testers on the play store report it as not having a gyroscope the the VirtualSensor xposed module says that is does (it's for creating a virtual gyroscope from the accelerometer and magnetometer but it looks for a gyroscope so that actual gyroscope values don't get overwritten). So it may have a gyroscope that's not implemented software wise for some reason. Or I'm reading it wrong.

Response of gyroscope to rotation/orientation is bit delayed and lagging. You will not feel it unless you play games on this device. For instance pubg with gyroscope on in pubg setting, it changes orientation with your movement after some lag and that's very frustrating. If you want to check it quickly whether this problem is there in your set or not without actually playing the game you can open compass app of this device and try to change orientation of phone rapidly, you'll see it moves its compass needles with small amount of delay i.e. it doesn't change with your motion instantly. Can you please provide any workaround for this?

An easy way to test this is to run a 360° video on YouTube. It's quite frustrating.
Hope someone provides a workaround soon.
Turn off auto/adaptive brightness. It should now work smoothly. Same was happening with me, gyro lag and kind of bit delay. Even I tried resetting the phone but no luck. And finally I found the solution by turning off auto brightness and it works smoothly.
very sorry to say but Gyro is a Hardware issue. it cant be solved
Well yeah, I think all realme phones have this issue.
I'm using realme 3 Pro, auto rotate (& other movements) are very slow there too
Ok, so i bought realme 6 on 10th august 2020 and its been a perfect phone and i love it. The only problem i have faced is VR not working in the facebook app. 3d images and 360 videos are viewable but i have to drag my finger to view it, gyroscope seem not to work there. I have tried YouTube 360 videos and they work fine and google 360 photos work fine, google measure app works fine. Gyroscope in Pubg works fine so dont know why its not working in facebook app.
Things i have tried:-
Uninstalling and reinstalling FACEBOOK app more than 5 times.
Restarting phone for couple of times.
Factory reset my device one time.
Checked all the components in the phone manager app. Every sensor is normal and working.
Please help if anyone know any fix.
