Stock C08 = no bootloader unlock, which one now? - Realme XT Questions & Answers

Hello
Unfortunately I've applied the lastest stock update (C08) and after that I've found out that the Realme XT unlock application isn't compatible.
So, I'm looking for any RUI stock ROM that is compatible with the unlock tool. I think my version was C07 and it worked. Is that the best option to flash using stock recovery?
By the way, does anyone know the link to the firmware on realme site? They only show the latest version (C08).

An update. Now the options are closing.
The stock recovery doesn't seem to allow me to downgrade from C08. It shows a message telling me that "the version being installed is lower than the current version. "Installation failed."
Is there a way to downgrade it using a locked bootloader and the stock recovery?

[Q] [TWRP] Stuck in recovery after OTA update

Hello guys,
I need your help. I have a L7 II P710 and have intalled the rootable KDZ version months ago, but now I installed an OTA update accidentally and stucks since in the recovery (twrp). I checked all threads for a solution and tried to flash the new P710 V20C EUROPE OPEN version to repair the problem, but with several methods from the LG Flash Tool 2014 I could not solve the problem and still stuck in the recovery. Now I could need support from experts like you!
It would be glad when someone could assist me in this problem.

If you have working TWRP, try to flash some of custom roms' like CM10.2 first. After that (if your device boot normaly), you may flash stock kk europe open.
And more details please, like version before ota upgrade, your country, simlock status etc.

Thanks for your reply. I could solve the problem... I downloaded a stock kdz version that doesnt include the twrp recovery or something else. After that I could boot normally up and down. Then I flashed the new rootable that includes TWRP and all works fine. But now there is a OTA update again and I would like to apply this update, but with the TWRP recovery it is not possible. Is there any way to restore the stock recovery without flash a stock rom?
My kdz contains pached bootloader (APPSSBL), and after upgrade via ota you have brick.
If you want this upgrade (why if you can flash my v20c?), you must flash back original RECOVERY and APPSSBL, extracted from your present original rom kdz.
And unroot your device.
Or you may simply flash original kdz.
After ota upgrade, no longer root is possible.
I flashed your 20c version (this was meant with "the new rootable [rom] that includes TWRP"), but my smartphone shows me every time the possibilty to update. Actually i don't need this update and tried to deactivate the OTA updater. I deactivated the update manager from my lg and disabled the notification but it still shows me the message to update. Could I backup the app via TitaniumBackup and delete it?

Yes, good idea. I recommend you to backup whole rom with TWRP. Just disable screen timeout in TWRP before performing backup.
Actually there is a solution. Its better not to use FOTA update if u have custom recovery. But also attached file can help.Sometimes.Helped me with v20D updates. Just flash it via recovery.

Unable to update to Marshmallow

Hello everyone,
I rooted my OnePlus X using Kingroot. Now that the update for Marshmallow is available, I am willing to update my unit to the same. I had unrooted my device using the SuperSU app. After that, I unlocked my bootloader and tried to boot to TWRP and install OTA update, no success. I also tried installing the update via stock recovery but it shows installation failed.
Also tried resetting my device and then installing the update but no dice. Nor do I have the unrooted backup. Also, have changed the system font.
Tried searching the forums. Please tell me how can I update to the official Marshmallow latest build?
Device Information:
Oxygen OS version: 2.1.3-x
Bootloader State: Unlocked
Recovery: Stock
Thanks in advance!
You need this update file. Because rooted your opx!

What about the system font? And will I get OTA updates as I have unlocked my device's bootloader?

Marshmellow oos 3.1.3 download link https://s3.amazonaws.com/oxygenos.o...OTA_018_all_201609291837_741146bcf28e4587.zip
Doubts? Feel free to ask
I suggest you go step by step, from 2.1.3 upgrade to 2.1.4, move to 2.2.2 then 2.2.3, finally the MM, It worked in my case, I was also on 2.1.3 and faced trouble.. Hope it helps you.
Infact, after upgrading to 2.2.2, the system should have been unrooted. Just flash stock Lollipop recovery and leave it. You should get the rest of the updates as OTA immediately.

Did you check that the OEM unlocking was enabled after you unlocked the bootloader? Maybe that can be a problem. And I guess flashing the OOS Marshmallow build is possible only with the stock recovery (if you do not want to delete some lines from the code). So I'd stick to stock recovery if I want to update the OOS.

I guess this is more logical to do right now. Maybe it's something in the system that can be overwritten after upgrading to OOS 2.2.2. Because when I flashed the beta testing ROM on my device when I had the OOS 2.2.2, it worked just fine. But I guess it won't work if you don't have an older version of OxygenOS because of the small tweaks

You could just update the ROM by checking for updates in the about phone

Problem with going back to stock

Hey, I've been using Kangvip rom for the Mate10Pro from this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/help/kangvip-rom-t3738379)
It comes rooted with Supersu, and got TWRP up and running.
Now I thought of comming back to the stock version of the phone, and having a problem with that.
First my bootloader is unlocked and FRP is locked, Enable Oem unlocking in Devs Settings is off and greyed out, when trying to flash from the full OTA (from this website)
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=bla-l29C432B129&firmware_page=0
Based on my Version BLA-l29C432B129
When I try to flash something, an error appears with Command not allowed, I read that I should relock the bootloader so I did try, but got the error " Root type is risk" so it didn't work.
Same problem in TWRP, everything is SDCARD is encrypted so I can't have a zip or boot image there.
Heard you could system upgrade with inbuilt huawei software, but only allows an external sd card :/
I'd just want to return to stock firmware , stock recovery and unrooted
I will provide as much information as I can!
Kind Regards Felipe

ROM options after bootloader unlock & custom recovery installation

I have a Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29 C605, that is stuck on 9.0.0.254 and I'm seriously considering paying $40 to Ministry of Solutions for their bootloader unlock service. After unlocking, I would be installing a custom recovery.
I'm not interested in root, and I would like to stick with the official firmware, so I was wondering if, after a bootloader unlock and installation of custom recovery, I would be able to install a firmware downloaded via the Firmware Finder windows application? It's been a long time since I've flashed ROMs via a custom recovery, so excuse my ignorance if the process has changed, but I'm hoping I can simply download a newer official firmware and flash it via recovery.
Thanks for the help.

How to get automatic OTA update back ?

Hi guys,
I tried CN version of MIUI but i don't receive SMS on this rom version... so i flashed back MIUI EEA version 11 with official Miflash way but the update app don't see any update available...
So i'm stuck on MIUI 11 and i don't know how to get my phone back to vanilla ROM.
My bootloader is actually unlocked but i already had tried to lock it by selecting the "relock bootloader" in MiFlash and same result "no update available" in MIUI update app.
Download the latest system update package of EEA, install the update manually
