Vontar X3 bricked. Can't update via SD card. Please help. - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi.
Yesterday I've recived my ordered Vontar. I was not a fan of the system so i changed it via sd card. I've done it a couple of times with different ones but it something strange happened. Now, when i turn on this device with a 'reset' button and a sd card in it, it won't show 'updating' screen. In fact, I can't even go to 'apply update from ext' - the 7z file won't show under this option. But, I can install TWRP from Slimbox therad and wipe all. Also i tried to 'install' img file via TWRP but in the end it show 'System not installed'. I checked all the comments in this section but i found no answers. I think that's the only place for me to receive help because i was searching the web for 5 hours and now i'm out of ideas. I'm using custom roms on my phone since 2015 but this tv boxes are new to me.
Please help me.
Thanks in advance.

This usually indicate that either the bootloader is not compatible, The DTB dosnt have the right gpio pins assigned to the reset button making it non functional among other reasons, i Strongly advise against using an SD card to try new firmwares as you can end up in a situation like this where your box is semi broken with no way to get out of it, you should buy/obtain a USB A Male to USB A Male Cable & Use USB Burning Tool As This Is How to Recover From a Bad Flash & Not 100% Compatible Firmwares and even recover a "Bricked Box" that looks like it wont even power on (no LED or output to TV), Been Using This Method For Years And Havent Bricked A Box Beyond Repair Yet

Thanks for an advice. Yesterday i was very scared because of this situation. I thought that i wasted about 50$ but now i'm more chilled. Somewhere i've read that Vontar is basically the same as for example as HK1 but installing it's OS was not a great idea (I've done similar things on my Huawei G620s with the similar phone OS). I will try the USB method and reply the result. My ordered cable will be in a few days. Again, thanks for a reply. This thread could be useful if someone will have the same problem like me.

Like You said. Two minutes and Vontar is running a new OS without any problems. My SD card will come back to my car as a navigation. Thank You.

[Q] Hard Brick? Bootloader = dead?

Hey guys, big n00b here. I'll admit, I made a very fatal and somewhat idiotic mistake... ended up flashing a bad rom (illusions) to my phone. Unfortunately, after rebooting to test it, the phone completely stopped booting. Can't get into download or recovery mode. Does NOTHING when power is held. I have tried the microSD fix.. went out and got a 16GB card... no luck. This is why I think the bootloader is screwed up. I tried making a USB jig and that didn't work either... I have one coming in the mail, but that's going to be too long to wait.
My computer (running ubuntu by the way) detects the phone:
"Bus 003 Device 069: ID 05c6:9008 Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)"
from lsusb.
Guys, PLEASE tell me that we can fix it ... without JTAG or replacing the EMMC... both of those are a bit too much. Would rather just say I spilled pop on it...
I have nearly lost all hope because NOTHING has worked. It isn't showing signs of life... Is there hope?
Is it possible that I didn't try the microSD fix enough times? I mean, I read that you may have to do the write a few times... which I did... :/

There is a guy over on android forums named shappypenguin, he may or may not be on XDA, but he has done magic on supposedly hard bricked phones. The fact that your computer recognizes the phone is a good thing. Does the phone go into download mode? If so, try downloading ODIN. It's literally a phone saver.

No lol, I'm not sure. I have a 16 GB Class 10 card and my phone is 16GB. I have tried multiple images and multiple different guides. I THINK the phone is trying to use the card... but not working for some reason.
Like I said, I have tried a lot of images... but I have no reliable way to confirm if they are the EXACT one I need.
One of the ones It tried was called debrick_sph_l710... but it doesn't seem to work.
To clarify, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 on the Sprint network. Model SPH-L710.
I can keep trying the microSD...
Oh ok, I only know it should work on i9300. Not sure if it does for your model, you might get better help asking in your device specific forum.
Forgive me for bumping this early, but I have an expensive paperweight.
Is there any hope? Or will this require JTAG...?
If it doesn't go into download mode then usb jig, otherwise new motherboard.

What version of Android were you running before you bricked it? It probably doesn't work because you aren't using the correct version.

The rooted (and working) version was 4.4.2. Yes, this happened due to a incorrect version for the phone being flashed.
Ah, that explains why (I meant that it didn't work because you weren't using the correct version of your debrick image), click on the link below, write the debrick file to your SD card, and it should work.

My phone has been hard bricked for awhile now but i'm not giving up on it. Recently it started vibrating every 2 seconds for about 5 minutes then it would stop. Also the screen flashes a white line across it.
I made a 350mb image yesterday just to see if the 195mb image was too small and it made the phone vibrate more and for longer this time so i know i'm very close to something here.Somebody please let me know what i'm doing wrong

I assume you have a sprint note 3, so if you do and you where running NC5 4.4.2 this may help. First go this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625332 read through the threads posted there. Especially this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600869 That should give you a basic idea of the steps you need to take. Then you will be asked to create a boot img for your Sprint N900P, here is link to an img that is already done for the N900P http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6q1152x5c9d4h6/N900PUnbrick_IMG Basically you will have to copy and paste a boot img to a formatted/erased ext sd card, via a USB cable from you device to a PC ( provided your PC will recognize the USB cable when connected to your device). Or you can use an adapter to get the sd card hooked up to your PC. Enjoy !!!

Thanks but I got that whole down already.
My issue is that none of the images work or there is just something more to this.At first my pc recognized my phone when i plugged it in (qualcomm hs-usb) but now it's not showing up anymore.
The phone just sits there and vibrates all with the white line like it wants to boot but something is stopping it.
Jtag is my last option as i wanna try and fix it myself.
Oh and i forgot to mention that i had made a mistake and restored my galaxy s4 efs backup. The phone never booted up after that
The weird thing now is that the phone is charging the battery. But it's just constantly vibrating
Somebody please help me

Have you tried a battery pull then put it back in and try the 3 button Recovery combo? Atleast you have some life in the device so its not hard bricked.
I've tried everything. If it was soft bricked at least I would get into download mode. But that's all the phone does is vibrate.I just feel like I'm missing something.
It won't get recognised by my PC unless the memory card is out and that's weird. It takes about 5 minutes to pop up in device manager as Qualcomm hs-usb 9008(idk) and as soon as I try the button combo it disappears

Ok bud here we go, I run a Sprint Note 3 4.4.2 NC5 stock rooted CWM recovery. I downloaded the bootloader backup zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367 it created a debrick zip, then I extracted it, and it is a 128mb debrick.img file just like the thread states it should be here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/c396cy9uxyg7mck/debrick.img you will need to also download an IMG burner program to your PC. Here is the link http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/latest/download burn the img file to a completely blank/erased ext sd card from your windows PC. Then remove your battery install sd card, install battery and power up device.
A couple things I found, one the sd card size has to mirror the memory size of the device, i.e. 16gb device needs a 16gb sd card. Two the sd card when flashed with the Debrick img file has to formatted as unblocked, and may have to be retitled to be recognized.
Next I tried the Unbrick Creater zip the link is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651696 and the file it created is here http://www.mediafire.com/download/l290jcibb29q4r0/Unbrick_IMG.gz not sure what to do with it, but it is from my working device. Let me know if any of this works !!!

Ok I will keep reading the threads. Have you tried with the 128gb img file on the ext sd card to start the device in download mode ( all three buttons) as opposed to just pushing the power button ? Red that somewhere. I pick up bits and pieces here and there, sooner or later maybe we will find the missing part.
Have you tried to use a USB jig to boot into download mode ? You can you buy them on ebay for $10 or here is video on how to make one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKRrTZayRxU or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rdn5GoRjhn0 it is a different device but the concept is the same.
I was thinking of buying one the other day. Maybe just maybe one a button is not working. I'll order the jig tonight. Or make one this weekend
Later I'm going to swap motherboards and see if it's a button that's causing my problems.
Bless you bro and thank you for all your help

Bricked Leagoo Lead 2

The phone notified me there is a system update so I went ahead. Unfortunately, towards the end, it gave me an error message. I remember seeing the big Android robot lying flat on its back.
Now, the phone is completely dead. When I connect it to my computer I can hear the "new hardware connected" sound then immediately the disconnecting sound. This goes on and on for ever.
I tried using the tools provided on Leagoo's site, but they're useless as the computer is not able to recognize the phone.
Is there a hard reset key combination?
Thanks.

In the end, I was able to finally recover it. I just kept trying and trying: while the phone was connected to the computer, I removed the battery, then I put it back in; as well I was disconnecting it from the computer, then plug it back - I did this several times until the software on the computer was able to recognize it.
Even so, when I managed to reflash it, around 60%-70%, I got a message that it failed; so I tried again - it failed around 80% then I tried one more time and it was successful. Now the phone is working fine.
So my advice to you is to keep trying - leave the software on and click on the "download firmware" or whatever it was called, meanwhile keep unplugging the phone (and play with the battery as well).
Good luck! (you will need it)
Same problem, but leagoo responded with driver, firmware, flash tool, instructions and a video.
But nothing changed, so i have to retry.
Thanks for your post.
Edit:
I was thinking that was a hardware problem with micro usb connector!

Need help unbricking SM-G900V

So in my attempt to flash a custom lollipop rom,I accidently flashed the one for SM-G900A. Now my device doesn't boot at all. When connected to my PC,it shows up with the QHSUSB_BULK driver. From my understanding from what I've researched,I should be able to unbrick it by flashing a debricking image to a micro sd card, but I couldn't find one for this phone. Can someone with a working device possibly make a debrick image for me?

I just tried that but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I renamed the file to .img, flashed using win32diskimager,put it in the phone, help volume down + home + power but nothing is happening.
Its possible that the battery could be dead since it was low last I checked and it doesn't appear to be charging anymore since the brick. Not entirely sure if that has anything to do with this but I'm pretty desperate. I'll try borrowing a battery from another s5 tomorrow.
Does the sd card size matter? I used an 8gb one when I tried but I've seen a few post saying it has to be 16gb.
Maybe. Those kinds of things can be really specific. I haven't had to do that kind of thing personally, have just read in to it.
Well I was planning on buying a new micro sd card anyway,so I just ordered a 64gb samsung micro sd on amazon. I got one day shipping on it so I'll update the results tomorrow.
Still nothing. Flashed the img to the sd card, put it in the phone, held Vol Down + Home + Power, nothing. Also tried Vol Up and even tried a USB jig, nothing is happening. Anything else I can do or will I have to buy a new phone? Also is it possible that the img is somehow incompatible because of kernels or bootloader versions?
Is there any company I could send this to to jtag it? It sounds like that might be my only option at this point.

Help! I've bricked my android box

Hi.
I tried flashing a rom on a H96 Pro Plus 3+32GB box with an Amlogic S912, chip.
First couple of times when i tried flashing, it went up to 3-4% and gave out an error. Then i unchecked the erase flash and erase bootloader options and it went to 8% and then gave out an error once again.
After a couple of tries with the erase bootloader and erase flash options. It succeded flashing. But when i plugged in the box. There was no picture, there was just a blue light on the box.
The computer won't recognize the box after that, i've tried putting a rom on a SDcard, i've tried shorting some pins, not sure if they were the correct ones, but no luck. There is power going to the box, the blue light is on, but it won't turn on or display any signal.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!

Hi.
Trust me i've searched for a week without any success. Unfortunately the video didn't help me since my problem currently is that the box is getting power but there is no hdmi signal, nor the box is getting recognized by the pc after flashing the rom.

Hi
I tried shorting pins, like in the tutorial but nothing happened. Not getting recognized still.
Hi
Ok, so i've fixed the tv box and it turns out i was doing something wrong. I didn't have power plugging it in. I was relying on the usb connection to give enough power to the box. I've done this to get back the box. Please if you don't know what you are doing, get someone that really knows. I'm not responsible for any damage that may happen. This is just what i've done to recover the box.
1. Hold the reset button on the box
2. Plug in USB in the pc and in the box
3. Wait 2 seconds and then plug in power.
4. Hold the 5th and 6th pin (i think). Please watch the video andmake sure that you know what you are doing, since 1 bad move could render the box totally unusable. Thanks. you should hold the pins for a couple of seconds and it should pop up
Also i wasn't able to install Aidenrom (while flashing it gives out an error) or Atvexperience (it cant get imported by usb burning tool)
I reinstalled the default rom. And i was using USB Burning Tool V 2.0.8
Thanks for your help.
