G8 POWER WiFi Calling - Moto G Power Questions & Answers

How do I enable Wifi Calling on this phone , Andorid 10

Depends on your carrier and your device model. As far as I'm aware, Verizon does not enable WiFi calling on carrier unlocked models. For example if you have a XT2041-4 (retail US carrier unlocked model) like I do, you will not be able to use WiFi Calling, HD Calling, or Video calling with the oem ROM. This was the same case with my unlocked Z4. With that phone, however, I was able to unlock the bootloader, then flash the VZW branded rom image, and presto-chango I had Advanced Calling features. I just attempted the same with this Moto G Power XT2041-4 by flashing the XT2041-7 (VZW) image, and got a bootloop. So someone who knows more than me needs to provide some guidance. I haven't given up yet.

Got it working...
HD and WiFi Voice and Video Calling on XT2041-4 with Verizon
Prerequisites: You must bootloader unlock your XT2041-4. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a As far as I'm aware, this only applies to XT2041-4 on Verizon Wireless. To be clear, the XT2041-4...

VoLTE on carriers other than Verizon

SO, I've searched the forums and no one has seemed to answer the question. They either skip over it or it just goes unanswered. Is there any way to get VoLTE to work on any other carrier than just Verizon on the G3? The phone supports it, the modem itself supports it but I'm not sure if it's locked down software wise to only be available on Verizon or if it'll be available on other carriers. I'm currently using an AT&T MVNO and I don't have the option available, the only phone I've had that didn't switch from LTE when on a call was my Lumia 928 (but that was when I was on Verizon itself) - the question stands - is VoLTE an option on any other carrier besides Verizon using this phone? I'm rooted running Jasmine 9.1 debloated w/Xposed.

Tethering AT&T branded

I'm beginning to think that this is not possible.
I've got an AT&T branded Moto E LTE. Everything works on the phone, except for tethering. I am currently with Cricket not with AT&T.
The phone is bootloader locked and cannot be unlocked because it's an AT&T branded phone.
I'm not sure if the phone can be rooted in any other way. I'm also not sure that if even if the device is rooted, if tethering would work.
I don't suppose anybody here knows how one might tether with this device? This is with Android 5.1.

S9+ Unlocked vs T-Mobile Variant

Does anyone know what differences there might be between the Unlocked version and the T-Mobile variant? I'm wondering if there are any features missing from the Unlocked version while on the T-Mobile network (like how on the VZW version Wifi calling is apparently not usable on the Unlocked version).
Any info would be great, thanks.
The unlocked one has the mobile data toogle while Tmobile dont have it. Wifi calling running fine on the unlocked ones with Tmobile services. Hope that could help you.
AS I understand there aren't many differences between them.

At&t to Tmobile?

I recently purchased a s9+ from a amazon seller thinking it was a universal unlocked phone. However, the phone is a At&t unlocked phone and I'm using tmobile. I believe I'm losing VoLte, wifi calling HD voice and band 71. I called Samsung and ubreakifix and they started flashing the pho e would brick the device. What can I do to make this phone compatible with tmobile? I don't know anything about flashing but was referred to this site. I greatly any information you guys have.

Converting Consumer Cellular or Carrier Models to US Retail

Hi, wondering if anyone has converted any of the carrier models to the US Retail model. If so can you please share the instructions.
Also wondering can the International ROM be flashed and the SIM Card tray changed to make the US Moto G Power to a dual sim model?
I used this guide to flash from the Google Fi ROM to the Retail ROM and then the Verizon ROM. Verizon doesn't seem to like the phone unless it is their ROM. Otherwise I would have left it on the Retail/RETUS ROM.

After flashing the retail version XT2041-4 mine still stays the same on carrier version XT2041-6 (Consumer Cellular).
My bootloader is unlocked and flash was successful but still not change on carrier version.

So you have the retail US Moto G Power xt2041-4 and was able to successfully flash the Verizon Moto G Power firmware on it?
Do you now have WiFi calling and Visual Voicemail on your Moto G Power?
I'm asking because I have the unlocked retail xt2041-4 and am using it on Verizon but all the Verizon features don't work on the retail model so I am thinking of flashing the Verizon firmware on it.
Btw, thanks for the Reddit link.

I had the Google Fi edition, which is also fully unlocked. However it didn't play well with Verizon until I flashed the Verizon ROM. I can confirm wifi calling worked, but I didn't check visual voicemail before giving it to someone else.

Okay great. Thanks.
What about the Consumer Cellular Moto G Power? After Consumer Cellular unlocks it after 30 days on one of their plans. Will it then work on all carriers including VZW?
Because right now at CC it's $150 + 1 month service to get it unlocked.
