Ok google when screen is off - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

does it not really work on custom roms or are there workarounds? In stock miui ok google while screen is off works perfectly. I hope it works as ive been using it extensively.

I am running MiuiMix 12.0.2 and ok google was working perfectly when screen was off. However, since I changed kernel to agni it no longer works.

[Q] Which ROM to flash on my Legend

Hello guys, I am looking for a fast and stable Gingerbread ROM to flash to my Legend. It's unlocked by the HTC Dev method, and I got root by using HTC Super Tool v3.
Going through the forum I can find many people using the Cyanogen ROM, but I am confused about the RC version. Every stable RC seems to have some issues for some people, be it lack of Wifi or GPS.
I use the phone for calling, texting, surfing, Twitter, facebook, Gmail, maps and watching videos. Can anyone suggest me a ROM which will do the above without much hassles?
ExtremeLegendFuse is a great fast and stable Gingerbread ROM and sounds suitable for your needs.

Unfortunately it always seems like some problems occur to only some people but there's an active community here to help. I don't think I had problems on the Fuse ROM though so all should be good
Ok, I installed the ExtremeFuse2 ROm with Google Apps. It's fast, and Launcher Pro is very smooth. I love the stock Gingerbread UI and the Wifi and GPS is working so far, no problems.
Forgot to take a backup of the contacts, so had to import them again, but Facebook and Google Contacts made that easy.
Facebook, Twitter, Maps, Market, Browser, packet data everything is working fine so far, thanks for the suggestion.
tested c.m 7.1 for a couple of weeks nad finally installed ExtremeFuse2 1 month ago .both work like charm. installed go launcher and everything works like stock, but better!!! wifi , gps ,data have no problem so far. so i recommend both of them.
Stable GB Rom?
CM 7.1 hands down.
Not sure about your wifi problems cause mines working like a charm.

[Q] Best camera fix for Neo in MIUI v2 (2.4.20)

Hey! I'm using MIUI v2 because I feel that ICS is slow compared, plus it doesn't really seem to have any "must have" features. Anyway, that's besides the point of this thread.
I'm using Miui 2.4.20 from MaxWork's MIUI thread and everything works fine except the camera. Well it works okay, but very often it likes to go black and I have to restart it. Like switching between back/front camera will almost every time make the screen go black and i have to exit the cam. Many other non-miui camera apps doesn't really function that well either.
When I installed it, the camera didn't work at all (Said "Can't connect to camera" when I tried) so i searched for miui gb camera fix neo and installed it and that made it work like it does now, but I would love to have it work completely like if I was using the original Sony GB rom. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] CM 10.1 4.2.1 Galaxy Tab 10.1 issues

The rom seems to be running great, updated to the most resent 'nightly" The only issue I seem to be having is that the android keyboard (which I prefer) always crashes, everytime, even if i try voice-to-text. Is there a fix? Otherwise I am running swype.

I've had no issues with any of the nightlies I've installed over the last week or so of having the tablet. Have you tried doing a clean install?

Using the goo inside gapps, the AOSP keyboard has issues. Check out my thread about nightly discussions, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074202
If you want to keep the gapps you have installed, disable the Auto-Correct and you should be good to go.
Touchscreen problem after flashing cm 10.1
Hi every one, i Flashed Cm 10 and after that flashed cm 10.1, keyboard wasnt working well. One day my battery completely ran out and i charged it to 100 %. after that my touchscreen is working oddly, it is getting pressed all by itself at the position of "v" in keyboard(at the lower end of screen, in the middle), at the same position it is happening, whether it is locked or on the home screen or on the app page. I flashed ICS samsung version, but the problem persisted, can some one throw some light as to whether it is a hardware or software problem.
I was on CM10.1 Nightlies...it is great ROM and a lot of good stuff, but still quite unstable for me.I don't think our Galaxy Tab 10.1 ever going to see a stable release for 4.2.1.
I went back to Stock 4.0.4, and flashed latest A1 Kernel. I will probably stay with that until there's good improvement on CM10.1

are you sure? because there's nothing mentioned in the changelog regarding tegra drivers/kernel...
the old TWRP could not be used to flash 4.4+ roms, i don't know about 2.7, just use philz touch com recovery for 4.4 roms

I tested it several times with chrome browser (lock screen, switch rotation, unlock) and the view isn't mixed anymore.
camera app still has a short lag before changing view, but much better than before
I also flashed via cwm. I just wanted to know if it works now using twrp ^^

I tested stock camera on 4.2.2 sense 5 rom (there's a package of cm11 apps in play store) and there's also this lag. just try other camera apps and it should be fine. and latest nightly is stable enough for daily usage?
Is the 20140606 stable? (I know it's nightly but you know what I mean) I'm still using some build from February which is a milestone release. Rock solid.
Too bad Lloir's phone is fooked up.

I'm using these nightlies on my daily device since months. most annoying were the rotation bug and the bug where chrome got black on some sites when keyboard was acitvated (appeared in nightlies of last month) - both are gone now.
I cant say if its stable after 1 day of usage. in nightlies before I had freezes from time to time (especially when using gps - in my opinion) and had to hard reboot my device. this could happen 2 times a day or once in the week.
in nightlies about 2-3 weeks ago a had a bug where sometimes u couldnt hear your dialogue partner (had to recall) - didnt happen anymore
well... its your decision if u can live with that. for me it's ok and I won't stuck on 4.2.2
I'm sorry... All back. Rotation bug is still here back. Dont know why it worked so well this morning

Android M Google Now Launcher

So I didn't think it would work, but apparently it does on the G3! I've only tested it with AOSP (CM 12.1) though. Also there were a few FCs before it started working, and OK Google doesn't seem to work. But hey, Android M GNL!
Download here
Okay Google seems to work on stock LG G3. Did get a couple of force closes at first. But, now seems stable.
Anyone got an OK Google working version?
